A small Evergreen "meeting"... "You are NOT keeping me out of this show! You find a match, I don't care with who, 'cause I'm not gonna go home sitting on my ass when I'm ready to go! It's been two weeks, and it wasn't even sore two days after the fact, so don't gimme any more bullshit, Kiana!" The very loud, very brash tone to Sabrina's voice has clearly been grating on Kiana Yamazaki for some time already, the Evergreen boss looking annoyed, frustrated... tired.
"Fine, FINE! You want to get out there again so badly? If it'll shut you up for five minutes, you've got a damn match! You can set up against Penelope Lea, you can run with the eMo bunch for all I care. Maybe you'll get them out of my hair a bit more, who the hell knows. But I'm WARNING you, Sabrina, if you come barging in here like this again, you're not gonna get off lightly, you hear me? You can make your demands all you want, but let me make this crystal-clear to you..." Kiana rises to her feet behind her desk... there's a glint of something in her eye. "If I decide I don't like your FUCKING attitude, Sabrina... then you're gonna learn real quick what happens to people in Evergreen that aren't ready to go truly hardcore. Now GO."
Sabrina's got what she wants, and she walks away... Kiana, meanwhile, takes a moment to breathe, leveling a glare into a nearby mirror, almost staring her own image down. After a few minutes, she absently lifts up her phone...
"Armstrong. I need a favor. We've got a couple of days before the show... you're gonna have to do something real stupid and trust me here. Both of us need to take this week off.
I got a lot to work through." Sabrina vs. Penelope Lea
Binak Tonorian vs. Tasharun
Andrea "Fire" Hawke vs. Kelly Wolfe
Oakland's Most Metal vs. Crimson Romance
Jennifer Hunter vs. Babe Ruthless
Argent vs. Kantar
Iris Coleman vs. Victoria Fox
Concrete Pete and Skidmark vs. eMo for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships As worked out above, the night will kick off with Sabrina squaring off with the heaviest hitter eMo has to offer, taking on Penelope Lea. The Jersey She-Devil, for her part, doesn't seem remotely concerned about this match... but given what we've seen from Penelope, she might not want to be quite so cocky about this one. We saw the return of Binak Tonorian last time around, and now we get to see him go one-on-one with an old enemy in Tasharun. Giant vs. Demon here, as Binak aims to help Argent start to finally topple Tasharun's stranglehold on their feud. Kelly Wolfe and Victoria Fox finally seem to have made their decision on where they'll spend their time going forward, and it's to Evergreen's benefit. And it'll be Kelly that gets the first shot of the night for the duo, as she steps into the ring with none other than Andrea Hawke... leading this match to be some kind of weird alternate version of Firehawk vs. Kellaron, although Andrea and Kelly have no actual relation to each other. Still. This should be good. It's Oakland's Most Metal... although the Oakland native won't be a part of this one, as this one will be fought by Rebecca and Sayaka, as is typical. They'll be up against Crimson Romance here, Luci and Chasity looking to keep a strong run going, and although they'll never challenge Sookie and Eddy for the tag titles, they may very well be prepared to step in if something goes wrong... Jennifer Hunter forced everyone to take notice in her last match, locking Sabrina in her brutal submission and stopping just short of seriously injuring the Jersey She-Devil. Now she steps into the ring with Babe Ruthless, and this one's likely to turn into a vicious brawl, and one that could be the highlight of the night. We've seen this matchup a couple of times already, but Argent seems determined to get himself back on track... re-focus his attention. He'll aim to once again bring Kantar down on his own, seemingly just to prove that he can pull it off, while Kantar looks for redemption against a man he's struggled to beat since he arrived. Victoria Fox already has something of a reputation from the few times we've seen her so far. She's quiet, efficient, dangerous... and she'll absolutely meet Iris Coleman here face-to-face, in what could be one of the most hard-hitting matches of the night. Iris, for her part, is looking to rise up through the ranks... could she have her sights set on gold before long? Finally, in a matchup earned last time around by the challengers, Concrete Pete and Skidmark have a shot at dethroning the current Evergreen Tag Team Champions. But eMo have surely been preparing for this match, ready for this rematch to defend their titles, and it's not going to be easy to repeat what they did last time around... still, this may be the toughest defense that Eddy and Sookie ever have to go through.

Maybe one of the more tame episodes of Evergreen, at least until the end. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/695963331Youtube: youtu.be/mxcatEIKCosQuick Results Sabrina def. Penelope Lea Tasharun def. Binak Tonorian Andrea Hawke def. Kelly Wolfe Oakland's Most Metal def. Crimson Romance Jennifer Hunter def. Babe Ruthless Kantar def. Argent Victoria Fox def. Iris Coleman Concrete Pete and Skidmark def. eMo to become the NEW Evergreen Tag Team Champions Ash Defiant def. Eternamente Verde (bonus) Write-ups Kiana Yamazaki clearly expected this to go firmly in Penelope's favor... but Sabrina, as she so often has from the day she arrived, slipped away with a victory that even referee Joel Severins didn't seem willing to give her, as he actually threatened to DQ her for a choke late in the match... has the Jersey She-Devil even upset the referees so much that they're willing to look past where they're working? Tasharun seems to be back in form as of late, with a winning streak that only continued tonight against the giant. Binak just couldn't put him away, and a brutal chokeslam from the Demon gave him yet another victory... is Argent's goal of taking him down truly impossible? Kelly Wolfe didn't hesitate to make sure she made a statement tonight. Despite ultimately losing this match, she did a ton of damage to Andrea's arms, to the point where Andrea could barely lift them... just able to muster up a last bit of strength to land a crushing lariat to pick up the win. Still, Kelly's definitely made it clear that she's a threat here in Evergreen. With Veronika Armstrong away, the Oakland crew went to work without their leader... and did her proud, at that. Rebecca and Sayaka were a truly dangerous team tonight, with Sayaka carrying the bulk of the offense, landing multiple Fisherman DDTs en route to wiping out Luci, while Rebecca kept Chasity occupied long enough to score the three-count. This was Babe's match for a lot of the time, with Jennifer having to figure out just how to fight back... but eventually, fight back she did, the two trading punches and laying into each other with all they had until Jennifer was able to set up her submission hold, and scored a very hard-fought victory. We're finally catching another glimpse of the man who terrorized Evergreen for so long. The man who stomped through half the PEWA roster single-handedly. Kantar might just be back, and this match could signal big-time trouble... not only for Evergreen, but for Argent in particular. Can Argent figure things out and get back on track? Victoria Fox is easily the more level-headed half of her team with Kelly Wolfe... perhaps that's a big reason she was successful tonight, meeting Iris Coleman move-for-move, and eventually landing a thunderous Package Piledriver to pick up the win. Just like Kelly, though, this may be a major statement towards Evergreen... everyone may want to watch their backs. This rematch was far, far more even than the first meeting between these two teams was. It was also downright brutal, with both Pete and Skidmark busted open, the big men enduring this somewhat brutal handicap to come back and keep fighting. And finally, it was Pete that won the day... getting exactly the positioning he needed to come off the top rope in a crushing splash, and managing to break eMo's grip on Evergreen's top ranks... but Sookie still holds the Evergreen Championship, and that, as we've seen, won't be an easy thing to change. The night closed off with one last extra match, seeing Eternamente Verde showing up after a rare night of not being on the main card. She might wish she'd stayed in the back after this one, as despite busting Ash Defiant open early in her usual fashion, this match was all Ash's, culminating in her smashing a light tube over the luchadora's head, followed quickly by a Defiant Bomb on the bloodied Verde to finish the job. Sabrina "So now even the fuckin' refs are against me, huh? All of a sudden that big clown wants to tell me I'm 'not allowed' to do what I do, in the place where there's no fuckin' rules? Screw you, Yamazaki, you can try and hold me down as much as you want, but you're gonna have to face the truth one way or another: no matter who you put in that ring with me, I'll beat 'em. Jennifer Hunter got lucky, I'd beat her any other day. And if you want your fuckin' refs to try and stop me, let 'em. Call your stupid DQs all you want, it's not gonna change what happens at the end of the night: I win, you lose, and I go home as the hottest thing Evergreen's ever gonna see in their lives. The best talent, the hottest look... and a future champ, no matter what you try to put in my way."

Continuing right along... this week's Showdown will see the in-ring return of the new World Champion, Laenara Kintelas, a Pacific Northwest Championship defense (Of course), and a proper debut... Besos vs. Anari Lynn Heyward
Fenix Oscuro vs. Rachel White
The Limbtakers vs. Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa
Celine Chevalier vs. Listalva Anne Heyward
Kyle Anderson vs. Markos Andreas vs. Silver Hawk vs. Todd Colton
Angel Leblanc vs. Kaelara Sentarl
Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard vs. The GOAT
Telan Kintelas vs. Selisha for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Cassandra Marshall vs. Laenara Kintelas Kicking things off this week, we've got Pacific Northwest division action, as Besos looks to push her way up the rankings once again. Standing in her way this week is none other than Anari Lynn Heyward, recently joining forces with longtime friends, the Sentarl Sisters, along with her own sister, Listalva... but she'll be flying solo here as she squares off with Besos, with the winner likely that much closer to taking their shot at the title. Fenix Oscuro was quite satisfied to see Selisha take down Rachel White last time around, but it won't stop her from turning her sights on Rachel herself... perhaps as a message to those who cross the Malevolent Triad. Still, we haven't seen terribly much of Oscuro as of late, outside of her appearance in Selisha's corner during her championship match. What is really going on with the Triad now? The Limbtakers will make their proper team debut this week, after Candace Monroe picked up a huge win over Todd Colton last time out. They'll certainly have an uphill battle here, though, with the dynamic team of Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa to deal with... and there's little doubt this one could be a potential match of the night. We got a glimpse of one Celine Chevalier after Proving Ground last week... but she takes her proper place this week, and will immediately enter into the battle against the Heyward-Sentarl alliance as she takes on Listalva Anne Heyward in her official Showdown debut. We already know how dangerous Celine can be... but can she take a big step up and prove herself to the rest of Les Beautes Blondes? It's a collision of newcomers and Showdown mainstays here, as four men square off to push themselves to bigger heights. Although Todd Colton is somewhat of the odd man out here, he seems determined to prove his loss to Candace Monroe was a fluke. Meanwhile, Markos Andreas will have another shot at taking on Silver Hawk after losing to him previously, and Kyle Anderson has a shot at keeping his momentum hot in his new surroundings after a debut win over Kanjirin Tonorian. Angel Leblanc has made it no secret that she has nothing but contempt for the Sentarl family... though until now, most of her ire has been leveled towards Shiana. But after what happened last Showdown, her focus has definitely changed... still, she's clearly saving Eri for last, as she takes on Kaelara Sentarl this week to continue proving her dominance over the family that she hates so deeply. The remaining members of LBB will once again find themselves teaming up... but it won't be against the same group that's challenged them so openly. Indeed, it seems like Michelle and Revon have caught the attention of the GOAT, no doubt thanks to their treatment of Kaelara Sentarl... Kellaron's twin. Can the French duo hold up against Proving Ground's finest? Telan Kintelas finds himself next in line for the Pacific Northwest Championship once again... and this time, he seems absolutely determined to come away as champion. Selisha, however, has been easily one of the most dangerous people in all of Phoenix Rising... devastating to nearly every opponent she faces. Can Telan have any hope of winning this matchup? We haven't seen Laenara Kintelas since her huge victory at Sky's the Limit, but that changes here, as the new World Champion steps into the ring against a newly-crowned Tag Team Champion in Cassandra Marshall. Retribution for the Wild West defeating the SFG? A simple challenge to Cassandra for her to step up? It's not yet clear, but these two are certain to tear up the ring as the show draws to a close.

Definitely a wild one tonight with the whole roster seeming like they were out to prove something. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/699829414Youtube: youtu.be/rdxg3H-65CEQuick Results Anari Lynn Heyward def. Besos Fenix Oscuro def. Rachel White Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa def. The Limbtakers Listalva Anne Heyward def. Celine Chevalier Markos Andreas won the 4-way battle royal Kaelara Sentarl def. Angel Leblanc The GOAT def. Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard Telan Kintelas def. Selisha to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Cassandra Marshall def. Laenara Kintelas Write-ups Hot start to the show, with Anari clearly coming out on a mission after losing to Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard her last time out. Besos just couldn't get it rolling here, Anari flat-out overpowering her and picking up a dominant win for the opener. Oscuro didn't seem to lose a step here... it's been some time since we've seen the Triad's leader, but she handled Rachel as though she never left. Still, one can't shake the feeling that something felt off tonight. Welcome to Showdown... the Limbtakers got their first crack at a Showdown team here, and although they held out for a while, Avispa proved to be an absolute monster in the ring tonight, overwhelming the newcomers and catching Candace in a surprising flash pin sequence that seemed to catch the young Australian completely off guard. This match was the one that many are going to likely remember tomorrow. Celine Chevalier made her Showdown debut and didn't hesitate for a second to take the fight to Queen Anne, both women roaring through this match, dishing out everything they had to throw at each other. But experience would win out here, as Listalva went big with a flying Tornado DDT, and picked up the win over Celine. Could this be Markos Andreas's breakout moment? Tasked with taking on three of Showdown's fastest-rising stars, he absolutely rose to the occasion, although it did take a little bit of luck to get there, as a double-pin situation led to the referee counting out Kyle but leaving Markos to survive... allowing Markos to eventually plow through both Silver Hawk and Todd Colton en route to a major victory. Kaelara Sentarl is not someone that can be overlooked. And for nearly the entirety of this match, Angel was seemingly doing just that, showing incredible arrogance towards her, barely taking her seriously. She nearly paid for it before Elise stepped in to do her usual distraction routine... but the third time was one too many, it seemed, as a Kae Buster planted Angel, and head referee Emma Travers ignored Elise's frustrated yelling to count Angel out. Although Kellaron isn't directly involved in the conflict brewing between Les Beautes Blondes and the group that includes his sisters, he's not going to pass up an opportunity to strike against them, either... and although Victor Kintelas was simply along for the ride in a conflict he has even less reason to take part in, he definitely did his part here, wrecking Revon Beauregard with a turnbuckle German suplex, and giving the GOAT their first Showdown tag victory. The curse just continues. Even the immensely talented and dangerous Selisha couldn't break it here against Telan Kintelas, who was a pure wrecking ball of raw power, enduring the Fangs of Fascination en route to landing a crushing snap powerbomb to get the win, and the Pacific Northwest Championship. Lae's time away might've been a bit too much, or Cassandra Marshall was just that determined to make an impact... either way, this was a colossal victory for the new tag champ, taking down the World Champion in her first match since winning the title, and now Cassandra finds herself in a unique position... can she end Laenara's miracle reign before it's really even begun? The Malevolent Triad Haruka was mostly blocking the camera... leaving it only just barely possible to see Oscuro and Selisha in the background, and Haruka, for the moment, was the only one to speak. "Your skills haven't faded... but did you lose something along the way? We have much to talk about, Oscuro... and as for that muscled-up brute..."
<He will pay for it, in time. For now... I believe the best plan is to change our focus.> Oscuro turned... still mostly blocked from view by Haruka. <Do you believe you're capable of defeating the Wild West?>
"Of course. You're saying we should aim for the tag team championships for now?"
<From there... we will return our attention to the others. And when the Blondes and the Sentarls are at their weakest... when they have worn each other down...>
The statement hangs in the air for a few moments. If anyone had guessed that Oscuro's obsession with Eri had ended... those suspicions were now dashed.
But what exactly is really happening...? Laenara Kintelas "Not a lot I can say about tonight. I lost, straight up, and it's pretty well my own damn fault. Seems like spending a month and a half celebrating in... various ways, was probably not the best idea. Course, I could've told you that ahead of time, but you know what? For the most part, I'm gonna say it was worth it. Because yeah, Cassandra Marshall beat my ass tonight. Took me apart, left me feeling pretty awful. And yet I'd still do everything the same, all over again.
Because I'm gonna let you in on something: I didn't just spend the whole time I was away partying and living it up. I had important stuff to take care of... important as in, putting the finishing touches on my wedding. Hell, I was doing that in the weeks leading up to Sky's the Limit... you ever been so nervous for something you threw up? That was me, before that match, not just because of the match, but because of what else was coming up.
July 8, 2020, is gonna be a day I remember for the rest of my life. The day I got married to the love of my life. The day I married Urani Whitemist. And I wouldn't change any of that for a second. But here I am, a month later, and the vacation's over. It's back to business, it's back to being the best of the best in Phoenix Rising.
Cassandra, you caught me out tonight. I blew it in a big way, I let you get the best of me. But when I put this title on the line for the first time... you're not gonna see a repeat. Because I'm not going to go down as someone who couldn't get it done as champion. I'm not gonna drop this title to the first person who showed up and threw a punch my way.
You might've won the tag titles, but you're NOT taking this from me. So I'll see you in two weeks, Cassandra. Things are going to be a whole lot different."

I tell ya, the way days have been going lately it's a wonder I even remembered to write up a card at all. Jessika Boom vs. Felice Santana
Arthur Wright vs. Anahera
The Yoshida Twins vs. HAYATO and SATOMI
Leona Sterling vs. Anna Bryant
Calista Vargas vs. Mercedes Ortega
The Excellent Blades vs. The Muscle Machines
Rey de la Carne vs. Rafael Gallego
Sanya Markov vs. Hugo Dirksen
Fresh Suzuki vs. Amber Wright for the Inspire Championship Kicking things off this week, we see a face that we haven't gotten terribly much of lately, as Jessika Boom returns to the ring for what's certain to be a high-octane opener that doesn't let up for a second. Felice Santana is certain to be a perfect opponent for Jessika here, and they should start the show off right. The Rising Storm have surprisingly not taken control of Proving Ground right out of the gate... struggling to gain a foothold, it seems they'll be changing tactics somewhat, as Anahera sets her sights on Arthur Wright this week. Arthur will be tested, there's no doubt about that... but we've seen that he's more than capable of rising to the occasion. The Yoshida Twins bounced back from their previous losses in a win over Adrenaline Rush last time around... this week, though, they've got perhaps one of the toughest duos in Proving Ground, as they take on HAYATO and SATOMI in what may be a highlight reel of a match. And with Naoko seemingly having worked out some of her prior issues in the ring, the Yoshidas may be better than ever. Anna Bryant's new surroundings have done her a world of good already. Having gone from struggling to make any headway on Showdown to once again feeling like one of the most successful Academy graduates, she now takes on maybe her toughest challenge since moving to the new roster, as she tackles Leona Sterling... and Leona, no doubt, will want to make an impact by showing her fellow Academy graduate who's really in charge. After all... Leona was the first Academy Champion, and she's rarely let anyone forget that. This one has a lot of potential, just like the opener... Calista Vargas and Mercedes Ortega have both more than proven they're capable of keeping up a blistering pace, and it may be tough to keep up with this one, as two of the fastest-rising stars in Proving Ground look to raise their stock. The Excellent Blades haven't given up on their goal of becoming Proving Ground Tag Team Champions... and now with the Golden Ambush finally dethroned, it could be their best chance ever. But standing in their way are the Muscle Machines, who have clearly seen the same goal come to mind. Gear and Adonis could get a huge surge of momentum if they can pull this one off... Newly-crowned tag champ Rey de la Carne won't be sitting idle this week, and no doubt, Chico will be in his corner for this one as he takes on Rafael Gallego, in yet another example of Proving Ground having some of the most fast-paced and agile wrestlers around. This one's going to be intense... and Rafael might have his eyes on the tag titles as well. Everyone's going to be gunning for La Familia... Rey and Chico will need to be at the top of their game to defend the titles. Last week, we saw Sanya Markov outlast the rest of the field to become #1 contender for Victor Kintelas's Top Prospect Championship. But there's still a bit of a question left... Hugo Dirksen was the last man standing against Sanya before he managed to win the match by ring-out. But can Sanya beat Hugo straight up, one-on-one? We'll find out this week... and Hugo could very well earn his way into the upcoming Top Prospect Championship match if he can avenge his loss. Finally, a match that everyone's been eagerly anticipating since Fresh Suzuki's huge victory last week: she'll get her rematch against Amber Wright, this time with the Inspire Championship on the line. Don't miss this one... we could see the start of a new era for Proving Ground, with Fresh looking better, faster, stronger than ever before... and it could be her time to become a champion.

Fresh Suzuki, before the card for tonight... "This is it... No turning back now. Amber! You and I haven't had much of a chance to go one on one, but if you think you can slip past me and get me into that Triangle Scorpion again to make me tap, you're in for a rude awakening. Sorry, but I'm in full-on '本気モード' tonight!! This is my chance to show all my old classmates in school that all the time I spent practicing moves in the gym on crash mats and trampolines wasn't a waste of time! This is where I show the fruits of all my training, all the scrapes and bruises I've accumulated over the last two years. I hope you're prepared!"

Big one tonight. Whole lot of developments coming out of this one. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/706730756Youtube: youtu.be/nI7dEE10OqUQuick Results Felice Santana def. Jessika Boom Anahera def. Arthur Wright The Yoshida Twins def. HAYATO and SATOMI Anna Bryant def. Leona Sterling Calista Vargas def. Mercedes Ortega The Muscle Machines def. The Excellent Blades Rafael Gallego def. Rey de la Carne Sanya Markov def. Hugo Dirksen Fresh Suzuki def. Amber Wright to become the NEW Inspire Champion Write-ups A new look for Jessika Boom, but Felice Santana simply had her number here despite it, keeping pace with her and landing a Santana Sky to pick up an impressive opening victory. This was the match that the Rising Storm needed. Anahera finally showed flashes of the dominance that she's capable of, taking Arthur Wright to the limit, and eventually crushing him with a spinning tombstone to take the win and finally bounce back from the frustration of their first few matches on Proving Ground. Make no mistake, the Yoshida Twins are not going away anytime soon here. The recent Academy graduates were a fantastic duo here, taking it to the Tachibana siblings, and a series of fierce blows from Shiori kept HAYATO down while Naoko cut off the save. Can the Yoshidas keep up this momentum? Anna Bryant remains red-hot as she charges through the Proving Ground roster, looking like she's belonged here all along. (And probably did, let's be honest.) Leona didn't go quietly, but Anna was simply at her best tonight, landing that familiar Small Package Bomb to get another strong victory. For as much as Mercedes Ortega was able to keep up with Calista Vargas, the young Brazilian always has something in her back pocket as a trump card: The Stormbreaker. And that's exactly how she pulled this win off, enduring Ortega's frog splashes and the like until she hit said Stormbreaker to score a major victory. What the hell? Teamwork from the Muscle Machines? Actual support between teammates? A win thanks to AAA actually doing his job and cutting off the save? What world are we living in right now? This is weird. Rafael Gallego continues to impress week after week, matching Rey de la Carne move for move... a surprisingly subdued Rey at that, with a lot of his usual wild antics somewhat muted. One has to think he won't make that same mistake again. Hugo Dirksen essentially demanded that Sanya Markov prove he could beat the Dutchman straight up, rather than throw him out of the ring for a win. Sanya obliged... and absolutely wiped the floor with Hugo, ensuring that he'll have Victor Kintelas one-on-one for the Top Prospect Championship when they meet. Two-for-two, that's Fresh Suzuki. After scoring a major win over Amber last time around, she earned a title rematch with Amber... and she did not disappoint, despite Amber managing to lock in the Triangle Scorpion more than once. Fresh refused to quit, and after Amber's last Scorpion was broken up, Fresh wasted no time in landing a crushing Swanton Bomb, picking up the win, and the Inspire Championship... the first piece of gold of her career!

Fresh Suzuki: Moments after the main event of Proving Ground, the new Inspire Champion is seen on her knees backstage, hugging the belt to her chest, barely able to hold back a deluge of tears. Composing herself, she lays the belt on the tiled floor, taking a deep breath as she admires it before her.
"I did it... I can't believe it...! I finally did it...!" she cries out, shutting her eyes as the sting of both sweat and tears gets to her. "After all those times I've tried and come up short... I'm finally a champion...!" She dips her head before the championship as if in worship of it, before getting back to her feet with it draped over her slender shoulder.
"Amber... You did wonderfully. Though jeez, maybe take it a little easier the next time you punch me square in the mouth...! You're just like your mom... Which means, you're going to go down in history as a legend someday! I'm sure of it.
"But even legends have to lose. And tonight was that night for you, future legend. It's not that what you brought to the ring wasn't enough, you know - just so you don't take this personally or anything. What it was, was that I wanted this win that badly! So badly that even when you put everything on the line with your Triangle Scorpion, I clawed my way to freedom, and made sure there was just a bit more power in my battery than yours!"
She adjust the belt on her shoulder - still getting used to its weight, apparently heavier than she realized once the adrenaline of victory started to ebb - while taking a moment to consider her choice of words. "So... I said a couple weeks ago that 2020 was going to be me and Rin-chan's year, and now we're one step closer to that. Now that I have the Inspire belt here, that means that next, me and her have to make ourselves known as the top tag team in Proving Ground too! And I know by saying this, it puts a target on my back on soooo many levels... But I want to prove to the world that hard work and courage pay off! That you can choose whatever path in life suits you best! That you don't need the pedigree of a world-class athlete, or the genes of a natural fighter, or all the shortcuts in the world to get that massive physique, to become a household name in pro wrestling! To be someone's idol! That's what makes it the best sport in the world!"

The Muscle Machines: Gary Gear: That was like trying to deadlift my max...and then deadlifting it twice in a row!
Adonis Avery Alexander: I am not used to this sort of thing...we worked...as a team.
Gear: We smashed those Blades! Crushed 'em!
AAA: We won.
Gear: Nobody broke up my pin!
AAA: You made the pin in the right corner.
Gear: They botched up more than us!
AAA: This is surreal. I'm not hallucinating this, am I?
Gear: Nah, it's real!
AAA: You didn't slip any weird drugs into my food or something. Because if you did, even as great as this feels, I'm going to have to kick your ass.
Gear: You know that I'm the only one on PEDs! And they're good ones!
AAA: Amazing. I'd say "let's do this again," but we both know that's not going to happen...you're too much of a blockhead to replicate something as perfect as this was.
Gear: And you got your head stuck way too far up your ass to ever be a good teammate like that again!
AAA: Whatever.

Evergreen is fast approaching, happening this Thursday night... and we have yet to discover every detail about what's happening. But one thing is definitely clear: something's coming. Something big.
Sabrina vs. Kelly Wolfe
Binak Tonorian vs. Kantar Oakland's Most Metal vs. The Sheridan Brothers Iris Coleman vs. Luci Victoria Fox vs. Andrea "Fire" Hawke Jennifer Hunter vs. Eddy Introspect El Verde vs. Concrete Pete and Skidmark Ash Defiant vs. Penelope Lea Main Event: ???It all kicks off with Sabrina once again, continuing to run through Evergreen with a swagger and attitude that's rubbed more than one person the wrong way since her arrival. This week, she takes on newcomer Kelly Wolfe... perhaps those in charge hoping that Kelly will rip the Jersey She-Devil's arm off and silence her for at least a little while.
Argent seems to be withdrawing this week, perhaps trying to figure out just what's gone wrong... but Binak Tonorian remains, and he'll take on Kantar this week, looking to get some momentum going. Kantar, though, could be back to his old self... the man that tore a path of destruction through Evergreen for so long.
Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito continue to work as a team here, with no current sign of Veronika Armstrong, perhaps still busy with whatever it was that she was called to do two weeks ago. The Sheridans, meanwhile, are looking for a big win, a much-needed win after their run as of late has been... less than impressive.
Iris Coleman continues to be a rising star in Evergreen, and she's got a shot to impress here against eMo's Luci. Could the Wrecking Ball be looking to charge through the rest of the group as well? And could that lead to her setting her sights on Strawberry Sookie and the Evergreen Championship before long?
Andrea Hawke took on Kelly Wolfe last episode... and now, she'll get the other half of the duo in Victoria Fox. Andrea picked up the win over Kelly, but we've seen that Victoria is a more focused, cooler-headed woman compared to her partner... and far more willing to land her more devastating moves.
Jennifer Hunter is another wrestler with her sights set on gold. There's simply no telling who may end up taking a shot at Sookie in the near future, but one thing is definitely clear: The eMo leader has a target on her back, and the rest of her group has to do their best to stop these attacks from amounting to anything.
The new Evergreen Tag Team Champions will face their first test, as El Verde seeks to topple Pete and Skidmark in their first match as champions. Still, after knocking off the dominant duo of Eddy and Sookie, the Big Boys could be poised for the run of their careers... can anyone stop the bulk?
Ash Defiant may very well be the next in line to take their shot at Strawberry Sookie and the Evergreen Championship... standing in her way, as it's been so often for challengers, is Penelope Lea. A win here for Ash could set up the biggest opportunity of her Evergreen career... a chance to show that she's always been one of Evergreen's best.
We don't know what's happening here. Nobody has seen Kiana Yamazaki in person in almost two weeks: not since she made that call to Veronika Armstrong. The card was relayed to Kevin Royce, who made sure it got put out, but the main event slot was left empty: though Kevin himself states that he's spoken to Yamazaki and guarantees one thing for certain: this match will not disappoint.

Evergreen once again has been shaken, but this time... it may be for the better. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/709735917Youtube: youtu.be/0D43cj1G8nYQuick Results Sabrina def. Kelly Wolfe Binak Tonorian def. Kantar The Sheridan Brothers def. Oakland's Most Metal Iris Coleman def. Luci Victoria Fox def. Andrea Hawke Eddy Introspect def. Jennifer Hunter El Verde def. Concrete Pete and Skidmark Penelope Lea def. Ash Defiant MERCY DEVINE def. Veronika Armstrong Write-ups Sabrina's attitude is, to put it lightly, awful. But there's one thing that simply can't be denied: she's been immensely successful in Evergreen despite so much standing in her way... it's almost admirable, if she wasn't such an awful person about it. Kelly Wolfe just could not get anything going against the underhanded Jersey She-Devil, and Sabrina came away with another big win... much to the chagrin of those in charge around Evergreen. This was the win Binak Tonorian needed to remind everyone that he's still one of the most experienced giants in the world. He stepped up against Kantar, endured everything the lunatic had to throw at him, and finally crushed him with an Ax Guillotine Driver to pick up a major win. Much to the dismay of the crowd in attendance, the Sheridan Brothers are back... and they picked up the win on top of it, to boot. Rebecca and Sayaka simply got outplayed this time around, with Zack taking out Rebecca, while Vincent distracted Sayaka long enough to score the pinfall. The first eMo match of the night was also their roughest. Luci stayed in the fight for a good while thanks to Chasity's interference, but Iris simply would not be denied, cranking Luci into multiple submissions until she managed to get one locked in undisturbed to score the tapout. Where Kelly Wolfe struggles, Victoria Fox soars. Andrea simply couldn't find her footing here, and Victoria ran right through her, eventually crushing her with a brutal Spear to score a big win. Perhaps Victoria will take some time to work with her partner and help her get acclimated to Evergreen, as she's already done herself. Jennifer Hunter looked like she was in charge for a good chunk of this match... the problem was putting Eddy Introspect away, which was made more difficult by Strawberry Sookie's presence at ringside. Her distractions mostly helped Eddy stay in the fight, despite Jennifer aiming to choke him out right in front of Sookie, and he'd eventually fight back, hitting a big run-up cutter in the corner, and scoring eMo's first win of the night. The big boys had to know there'd be a target on their backs after winning the Evergreen tag titles. And El Verde are shooting to reclaim them as soon as possible... after this match, it looks like they're more than capable of getting the job done. Easily the bloodiest match of the night, Verde would put Skidmark away with a Stardust Press, and Pete was too busy with Evergringo to make the save. This result rattles the entire hierarchy of challengers. Ash Defiant looked like she might easily claim the #1 spot, but Penelope Lea, loyal to eMo as ever, refused to let her earn that shot so easily... and after a wild, vicious brawl, a Wheelbarrow Driver put Ash down, and gave eMo a winning record for the night. There are really only two possible reactions here: "Oh no..." and "YES!" Mercy Devine is back... changed, certainly, but there was zero doubt that Mercy was back to her old ways, that insane cackle, that fork, her willingness to land low blows at a moment's notice... Veronika Armstrong almost certainly had a hand in this transformation over the last two weeks, but she may already be regretting her decision to help Mercy return... Main Event Winner "May 7, 2020. That was the night everything changed. Three months, I've been dealing with this shit in my head, his voice trying to demand that I be... what I've been for the last few months. Turning away from everything that made me who I am, turning away from everything Evergreen stands for. But see, the last month or so... yeah, I'll admit, seeing this different perspective, running a different style, it's been interesting. But I couldn't keep that up. I'm not some fancy joshi technician. I'm not this... goody-two-shoes 'wrestler'. I never will be, not in this universe.
Two weeks ago I called up the one person I've always hated more than anyone else in the world. And I asked her a favor. I asked her to help me bring out the real me. To help me bring back Mercy Devine. Evergreen needs me to be myself again. If I can't be Mercy Devine, I'd have to give things back to Kevin Royce.
And to put it lightly? Fuck. That. I didn't fight tooth and fucking nail just to hand it back to him on a silver platter. I made Evergreen bigger. Better. I took it to the next level, and I'm not letting it go.
So make no mistake: Mercy Devine is back. And you know, there's one person that should be absolutely fucking terrified of that.
See, Sabrina, I know you've probably watched Evergreen before you showed up to join us. You know who I am. Who I'm supposed to be. But you've never met me face-to-face. You only met "Kiana". You met the professional, quiet, gentle boss, the one that was... maybe not willing to put up with your shit, but was at least patient enough to put up with it. Right up until I wasn't. I should thank you, because Veronika wasn't the only one that had a hand in this. You helped, too, by being such a toxic bitch that you damn near dragged this back out of me by force... if only because I wanted to knock that fucking ego of yours flat.
Because, Sabrina, you need to understand something. Watching me do my thing from a distance, from the crowd, from home, that's one thing. Stepping into the ring across from me personally? That's something else entirely. Next Evergreen, you're gonna get that opportunity. You're gonna get your chance to put the boss in her place, because you're gonna face me one-on-one. And I'm gonna make DAMN sure the refs know... we will be running on proper Evergreen rules that night. No matter how much you've pissed them off, they're gonna have it so, so much worse if they even think about counting DQs when I'm in that ring.
And after the dust has settled, and I've made you bleed, made you scream, made you beg for mercy that never comes... you're gonna finally understand who you're dealing with. I'm the fucking Queen of Extreme. I'm the Goddess of Hardcore. I'm MERCY. FUCKING. DEVINE.
And I'm right back where I belong."

I said I'd post this yesterday and then I forgot because yesterday was a very, very weird day. Kyle Anderson vs. Nathan Haines
The Heyward Sisters vs. Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Kanjirin Tonorian
Celine Chevalier vs. Haruka Matsura
La Relampaga and Layla Al-Amin vs. The Limbtakers
Kellaron Sentarl vs. Markos Andreas
Natasha Clover vs. Telan Kintelas for the Pacific Northwest Championship
The Sentarl Sisters vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Michelle/Revon)
Cassandra Marshall vs. Laenara Kintelas for the Phoenix Rising World Championship Kicking things off this week, we've got two relative newcomers to Showdown: one who's already more than made his name on Proving Ground before now, and one who's still very new to Phoenix Rising in general. But make no mistake, Nathan Haines is a seriously dangerous big man, and he's likely to give Kyle Anderson a tough test here. The Heyward Sisters return to their usual team, and while their stable partners continue the fight against the Blondes, Listalva and Anari will look to raise their standing in the tag division as they take on maybe the fastest-rising team on Showdown. Blake and Avispa have been red-hot, and this match could very well cement their position as a force in the division. We haven't seen much of Shiana Sentarl or Pure Gold as of late, but that changes this week... and surprisingly, Kanjirin Tonorian will have a rare singles match against none other than Firehawk Sentarl. What could this mean? Is Shiana deliberately sending her allies against her husband now, or is Pure Gold striking out on their own? Celine Chevalier has been quick to make a name for herself, immediately establishing herself as a dangerous member of Les Beautes Blondes and showing a deep loyalty to Angel Leblanc. She's also already found herself butting heads with much of the roster, and Haruka Matsura seems ready to make her pay for it... but can the Blondes afford to touch off a second conflict against the Malevolent Triad? Three days removed from a defeat in Pan-African Wrestling, the Cairo Cyclone will once again step into a tag match, albeit with a different partner and no championship on the line. Her team with La Relampaga is back... and they'll have their sights set on the Limbtakers, who are looking for that establishing victory on Showdown to make their name. Markos Andreas could find himself with all of the momentum here against Kellaron Sentarl: after winning the 4-way last episode, he's poised for a major breakout, but Kellaron will almost certainly be standing in his way to the best of his ability. We've seen this more than once. Natasha Clover wants her title back, but Telan Kintelas won't be easy to shut down... not when he's finally gotten his shot to take a run with the Pacific Northwest Championship. Still, Natasha would love to come out of this match with an insane fourth title victory... The battle between the Sentarls and the Blondes just continues. Eri and Kaelara have their attention firmly set on this one as they take on the team of Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard... and a win could make it very clear that the Blondes can't look past Eri or her allies. Laenara Kintelas was in for a shock last week when Cassandra Marshall beat her in her first match back since winning the World Championship. Now Cassandra has the biggest opportunity of her career: not only could she become the World Champion (and dethrone Laenara in her first defense) but she'd become a double champion, having already claimed the tag team championships from the other members of the SFG... could Cassandra prove beyond any doubt that she's the best that Showdown has to offer?

This one went longer than I'm used to. Nearly every match went hard tonight, it was kind of awesome. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/713738102Youtube: youtu.be/PDlH_csMzZ8Quick Results Nathan Haines def. Kyle Anderson The Heyward Sisters def. Blake Dynamite and Mascara Avispa Kanjirin Tonorian def. Firehawk Sentarl Celine Chevalier def. Haruka Matsura The Limbtakers def. Layla Al-Amin and La Relampaga Markos Andreas def. Kellaron Sentarl Telan Kintelas def. Natasha Clover to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Michelle Rochefort and Revon Beauregard def. The Sentarl Sisters Laenara Kintelas def. Cassandra Marshall to retain the World Championship Write-ups Tonight's show started off as hot as any Showdown has for a long while. Kyle Anderson and Nathan Haines absolutely tore into each other for the better part of nearly 18 minutes, wrestling a near-instant classic to kick things off, but Nathan had clearly done his homework on Kyle's Five Star Combo, blocking it whenever he could, and eventually wiping Kyle out with a brutal Axe Bomber to take the win. This was the Heywards firing on all cylinders as a team, with Anari providing the power and Listalva the agility and technique to keep pace with Blake and Avispa. Lis anchored the team for most of this one, though, and eventually lined up the perfect Shooting Star Press, scoring a big-time victory for the Heywards, and by extension, their alliance with the Sentarl sisters. Kanjirin Tonorian struck a huge blow here in this match... while Firehawk was able to get a Phoenix Dive off, he couldn't hold out against Kanjirin's full power, and the big man came away with the win after a big scrapbuster, making it clear that he's not someone that can ever be overlooked. This was maybe Celine Chevalier's best showing yet. Holding her ground against the dangerous Haruka Matsura, she was nevertheless aided by the presence of Angel and Elise at ringside... and briefly, hindered by Oscuro and Selisha on the opposite side. But Celine calculated her attack... the moment that the two Triad members dropped off the apron from their distraction, she landed a huge Falcon Arrow, and the Triad could only watch as Celine picked up the huge win. A well-wrestled match by the high-flying team here, but there were simply too many mistakes late in the match to get away with for long... as Relampaga aimed to set up something in the corner, Candace knocked her down, and came off the top in a rare display of high-risk, landing a crushing splash and scoring a spectacular victory for the Limbtakers. Markos Andreas is on a hot streak. After winning the 4-way match two weeks ago, he came into this one looking to get a streak going... and he ripped into Kellaron from the start, pushing through the crossfaces and even a Spear, and eventually landed a couple of big Exploders to score the win. What's this? A successful defense of the Pacific Northwest Championship? Yes, even with the presence of Todd Colton at ringside, Telan Kintelas was an absolute wrecking ball in this match, wiping out Natasha Clover in short order with his usual brutal power. A crushing Spear put this one away in a hurry, and ended Natasha's hopes of her fourth reign as the PNW Champion, at least for now. Another impressive showcase of the ability that Les Beautes Blondes have in their ranks. Revon Beauregard was better than we've seen him, and he zeroed in on his target relentlessly every time he was in the ring: focusing his attention on working Kaelara over before locking in his vicious submission hold to force a tapout, while Michelle held off Eri just long enough for them to get the win. This was exactly the match Laenara Kintelas needed to get herself back on track. Where she looked a bit rusty after a month away from the ring in her previous match, here she was right back to the force that took down the Black Dragon, though Cassandra Marshall still gave her a hell of a run to the finish. Laenara Kintelas "This is what I needed. A real fight to the finish, in defense of the title I fought so hard to get. Cassandra's tough... one of the toughest around. But I was not about to lose this title in my first defense... and I don't intend to let go of it anytime soon, either. I'm going to stay at the top for as long as I can muster it, and I don't care who comes after me... I'm going to fight to stay the World Champion, through whatever odds I have to." Shiana Sentarl Standing behind Shiana is the usual sight: flanked by Pure Gold on one side, Yuki Maeda on the other, with Mallory keeping an arm wrapped around Kanjirin as the team smirk towards the camera. "I know you've probably been blindsided by this, Firehawk... that you couldn't imagine that I'd actually send someone to face you. That you would never dream that your own wife would finally take a stand against you. But I'm not focusing my attention towards you just to beat you... I just want you to finally open your eyes. What do you owe anyone? Every rising star around here is trying to push people like you and me aside. Telling us our time is over, that we're finished, that it's time we retired and let them have free reign.
I'm not ready to call it quits. And I know you're not, either. That's why I sent Kanjirin to face you. That's why I want you to consider something. Next week, I'm going to do it again, only this time... you'll face Mallory. And after you're done with her, I will ask you a very, very simple question.
Do you join me, Firehawk? Will you finally realize that you don't owe the world anything anymore, and stand at your wife's side once again? You've got two weeks, and a match, to think things over. But I'll be watching, and waiting for your answer. We'll welcome you into our ranks without any hesitation. Because I still love you... and you, like the rest of us... deserve Vindication."

Running a bit late this week with the Proving Ground card. Some weeks are easy. Others are not. Nic Nitro vs. Anahera
The Yoshida Twins vs. The Muscle Machines
Mercedes Ortega vs. La Corsaria
Tommy Thunder vs. Xiu Mei Li
Felice Santana vs. Anna Bryant vs. Calista Vargas vs. SATOMI vs. Reina del Tigre vs. Katherine White vs. Christina Wagner vs. Donna Nobel
Rilantha De Nav vs. HAYATO
Nick MacLeod vs. Hugo Dirksen
Winter Fresh vs. The Gallego Twins
Sanya Markov vs. Victor Kintelas for the Top Prospect Championship Kicking things off this week, the first half of a face-off between two teams that have, at various points, had trouble finding their footing. The Rising Storm, in particular, has had a surprisingly rough go of it since moving to Proving Ground, likely having underestimated the competition they'd face... but they'll separately take on Adrenaline Rush, with Anahera starting the show against Nic Nitro. The Yoshida Twins, meanwhile, have been red-hot since making their move from the Academy... with only a single loss to their name thus far (and indeed, only the second defeat of their entire tag team career: they've only lost in their final Academy tag defense, and in their Proving Ground debut to Winter Fresh), they're looking like the future of Proving Ground's tag division despite only being around a short time. But this match may truly test what they're capable of: they'll take on the Muscle Machines, and together with the later tag match in the night, we could find out who challenges La Familia next for the Proving Ground tag titles. Mercedes Ortega has been impressive, but unsuccessful at the same time... she's looked good, but hasn't put together the win she needs to break out. She'll look to break that streak here against La Corsaria, but she's going to need to be at her best... Corsaria may not appear every show, but when she does, she's devastating. The other half of the Rising Storm's presence on this card, Xiu Mei Li tackles Tommy Thunder. Xiu has more than made her reputation on being the heavy of the Storm... Anahera's repertoire of finishing moves is impressive, but Xiu has been nothing short of unstoppable when she gets things rolling, and Thunder will have to watch out for the most dangerous move in the Chinese fighter's arsenal, that brutal STF. A colossal 8-way battle royal will once again decide the next challenger for the Inspire Championship... with eight women vying to be next in line, all of whom have seen recent success. Still, the favorite has to be none other than Anna Bryant... where the other participants have at least a win to their name since the roster shakeup, Anna has no less than three victories, and is running a serious hot streak that may not cool off even against these difficult odds. HAYATO finds himself flying solo, as SATOMI is taking part in the battle royal... so how better to test his ability than by tackling one of Phoenix Rising's most veteran talents? Rilantha De Nav has found less success than her surging student, but make no mistake: she is still a dangerous veteran in the ring, and HAYATO really will be tested from the moment the bell rings. Hugo Dirksen fell well short in his challenge against Sanya Markov, seeking to earn his way into the Top Prospect Championship match... and now he'll aim to bounce back from that crushing defeat by taking on Sanya's part-time partner, Nick MacLeod. This may prove to be a mistake: MacLeod has been a nightmarish opponent from day one, more than eager to break his opponent's backs if given half the chance. Winter Fresh is flying high. With Fresh Suzuki capturing the Inspire Championship, they're not stopping at one title: they want the whole spread, and they'll look to knock off the Gallego Twins in search of a title match against La Familia... can Rin and Fresh take home another huge victory? Closing out the night, the match we've been anticipating for a few weeks now. After a dominant performance in a battle royal to win the #1 contendership, and a total destruction of Hugo Dirksen, Sanya Markov has his shot at glory against the only two-time Top Prospect in Proving Ground's history, Victor Kintelas... could this be Victor's final ride on Proving Ground?

Another show that got better as it went along. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/720753874Youtube: youtu.be/2N9B9n1jxqwQuick Results Anahera def. Nic Nitro The Muscle Machines def. The Yoshida Twins Mercedes Ortega def. La Corsaria Tommy Thunder def. Xiu Mei Li Donna Nobel won the 8-woman battle royal HAYATO def. Rilantha De Nav Nick MacLeod def. Hugo Dirksen The Gallego Twins def. Winter Fresh Victor Kintelas def. Sanya Markov to retain the Top Prospect Championship Bonus Match: Jessika Boom def. Carmen Latour Write-ups Anahera came out of this one looking once again like the dangerous force that she'd been in the past, weathering Nic Nitro's onslaught late in the match to land a harsh spinning tombstone, and scoring the victory, a much-needed win for the Rising Storm on Proving Ground. The Muscle Machines are suddenly looking like a team to beat here... and could be in line to take a shot at the tag titles, if they can get through one more challenge, anyway. The Yoshidas, for their part, held out for as long as they could, but the Machines surprisingly went for a tactical divide and conquer, and Gear was able to take Shiori down for the pinfall victory. A wild match, fast-paced, eventually spilled to the outside, and from there it just got wilder... right up until Mercedes landed a crushing slam on the outside. It's thought that Corsaria's head clipped the chair she'd pulled out moments before, and she was left down and out, possibly concussed... she'll likely be away for a bit to recover. Tommy Thunder was not going to let Adrenaline Rush leave empty-handed tonight. He fought back against everything Xiu Mei Li had in her arsenal, powered through the brutal STF, and kept focusing on the one thing that was helping him stay in the fight... his brutal armbars, which ultimately let him pick up the submission win. For almost a solid twenty minutes, all eight wrestlers in the ring just kept fighting, with no end in sight... but once the first elimination occurred, as Anna Bryant forced Reina del Tigre to submit to the Anaconda Vice, it was like dominoes falling. Within just five minutes, there were only two women left in the ring: Anna and Donna Nobel, and much to the shock of many in the crowd, it would be Donna that came away with the submission victory, defeating the surging Anna and ensuring she'll be set to take on Fresh Suzuki in the near future for the Inspire Championship. Rilantha De Nav continues to struggle in finding her way in her new surroundings... and HAYATO took full advantage of that, looking like an absolute beast from bell to bell, culminating in the signature submission of the Tachibana family. HAYATO might be making a case to challenge for the Top Prospect Championship soon... Nick MacLeod is nothing short of a Scottish wrecking ball, and Hugo Dirksen had the misfortune of being in his path tonight. This never felt like it was in doubt, even after Hugo managed to lock in the Cattle Mutilation... MacLeod came roaring back, and didn't let up until he'd scored the pin. The Gallego Twins just keep getting better every week, and Rin continues to fall well short of her tag partner. Fresh Suzuki did all she could here, but Rin got caught dead-center in Rafael's Sharpshooter variant, and the Gallegos may be the last team standing in the way of the Muscle Machines. This was nothing short of an all-out war. With the Top Prospect Championship on the line, Victor Kintelas was not about to give in easily, and even as he was busted open early on, he just kept fighting... going up against the same difficult odds he's been fighting against from day one on Proving Ground. And much like he has so many times in the past, he endured, and pulled out the old standby from his father: the Shotgun, finally keeping Sanya Markov down and retaining his title. A small bonus match to prepare for what should be the start of the 50-state tournament coming up next week, we got to see Carmen Latour in action... and against Jessika Boom, it was guaranteed to be high-octane action from the very beginning. These two did not disappoint, keeping up an absolutely blistering pace until Jessika managed to land a huge moonsault to score a hard-fought win... but this likely won't be the last we see of the Cajun Spitfire.
