One hell of an Evergreen episode, with some serious implications for the title match coming up... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/555363746Youtube: youtu.be/8iGb7-xAzpgQuick Results Luci def. Iris Coleman The Demons def. Julian Shepard and The Phantom Thief Eternamente Verde def. Ash Defiant Elly Blackwood def. Sayaka Saito Argent def. Concrete Pete The Sheridan Brothers def. Oakland's Most Metal Kevin Royce def. El Evergringo Mercy Devine def. Penelope Lea... at a cost Write-ups Hell of an opener here, with Iris delivering her typical vicious offense... but Luci proved just a bit tougher tonight, enduring Iris's Triangle Lancer (among other brutal moves) to lock in an Iron Claw and pick up a hard-fought victory. The outcome here never really seemed in doubt: the Demons simply ran rampant over Julian and the Thief, and a vicious powerbomb counter onto a chair laid out Julian for a near-effortless victory by one of Evergreen's most dangerous teams. Maybe one of Verde's finest showings since she lost the Evergreen Championship... and perhaps a sign that she could make another run at that title, sooner or later. Despite Ash Defiant bringing her usual to this match, with brutal powerbombs flying and never letting up, Verde fought her way back into the match, finally nailing a wild spinning backbreaker and picking up a victory in what could've been the match of the night... though it certainly had competition. Exactly the match Elly needed to recover from losing to Kevin Royce... an important victory, and perhaps the start of another winning streak for the Invincible. Still, Sayaka didn't go quietly... making this one a wild brawl from start to finish before getting caught in an armbar for the submission victory. Concrete Pete gave it his all, but Argent's return continues to be a successful one. Perhaps now that he's established himself in Evergreen, he'll be able to turn his attention to his real targets... no doubt Kantar and Tasharun will see him coming their way before long. The Sheridans continue to succeed after a period of struggle, and the band out of Oakland continues their brutal slump. Veronika Armstrong has to be frustrated by now... tag, singles, it doesn't seem to matter for them, as they continue to drop matches time and time again... As much as Evergringo's gained a reputation for comebacks and wild upset victories, he couldn't quite muster it here... Kevin Royce continues to dominate the Evergreen roster, a chokebomb putting the luchador down, and keeping Kevin well on pace for a shot at the Evergreen Championship... and yet, there's still much to be done before that happens. War between the #1 contender for the Evergreen Championship, and the champion's right hand. There isn't much more that can be said: this was an all-out brawl between Mercy and Penelope, but Mercy ultimately delivered a simply brutal finishing sequence... laying out Penelope with her trademark brass knuckles to pick up an important victory. And then came eMo. Sookie, Eddy and Luci all came to the ring after the main event, and Mercy stood alone against the trio, goading them into the fight... it didn't take much, and a three-on-one brawl broke out, one that heavily favored eMo. Despite it all, Mercy put up a valiant effort, but ultimately couldn't hold out, bloodied by Luci on the outside and eventually struggling against Sookie and Luci as the show went dark... with Eddy still standing in the ring, watching things play out. Mercy Devine "You wanna make this a fucking war? You want to make this personal? I got a real good idea to settle this thing once and for all. You wanna keep bringing all your friends to the party, but I'm not stupid, Sookie... I know what's gonna happen if I don't prepare the right way. I'm not gonna let you run a four-on-one with that title on the line... that's why I've already been in contact with a few people to set things up... we're gonna have our title match next show, and it's gonna be inside a steel cage! I'm not letting you get away from me, and I'm not letting you bring the rest of your eMo buddies along... just you and me, fight to the finish!"

The next two weeks are gonna be absolutely monumental. As February draws to a close and March takes over, Phoenix Rising will see every single title in its entire organization defended over the course of the next four shows: kicking off Monday night with Proving Ground #51, and plunging through with the Blackwood Academy's live show for February, Showdown #51, and finally, Evergreen #26. Each will have every title on the line... and as we've already heard, it'll all culminate on Thursday, March 6, with a match that's sure to be an apocalyptic bloodbath as Mercy Devine squares off with Strawberry Sookie for the Evergreen Championship... inside of a steel cage. But with multiple shows to get through before that colossal matchup takes place, we focus on Monday night... Proving Ground. Hugo Dirksen vs. Tommy Thunder
Sung Moon vs. Calista Vargas
The GOAT vs. The Avian Assassins
SATOMI vs. Leona Sterling
Nic Nitro vs. Avery Adonis Alexander
The Limbtakers vs. The Golden Ambush for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships
Akira Ryusaki vs. Kyle Anderson for the Top Prospect Championship
Nicole Blade vs. Titania for the Inspire Championship This week kicks off with one-half of Adrenaline Rush squaring off against the Dutchman, Hugo Dirksen. Hugo's had a very up-and-down tenure on Proving Ground, but make no mistake: he's every bit a threat on any given night, never one to overlook, and could turn his fortunes around in a hurry.
Two of the finest Academy graduates will square off in the second match of the night, as the Korean-American Sung Moon seeks to take down a surging Calista Vargas. Calista, however, has taken to Proving Ground better than perhaps anyone... and all of this without having gotten a chance to see the mysterious finisher that she's apparently been holding back since before leaving the Academy.
Victor and Kellaron will once again step into the ring with the team that may perhaps be their fiercest rivals by now: as the Avian Assassins look to fight their way to the top of the tag team division. No doubt, one of these two teams is likely to be next in line regardless of who wins between the Limbtakers and the Golden Ambush later in the night... and both teams will surely be watching this with interest.
Leona Sterling faces maybe one of the toughest matches she's seen yet: even after facing down Aoife Daley in UCSS not long ago. SATOMI remains one of Proving Ground's finest, and her goal has been clear for weeks now: the recapturing of the Inspire Championship. Leona, however, could be fully capable of derailing that path to the top...
The other half of Adrenaline Rush will step into the ring with the brash, arrogant half of the Muscle Machines, as Avery Adonis Alexander faces off against the fast-paced, high-octane offense of Nic Nitro. It's hard to tell how this one may play out... although AAA will have a size and strength advantage, can he keep up with Nitro's pace?
The Proving Ground Tag Team Championships are on the line in a rematch from New Year's Bash. The Limbtakers are out to regain the titles they lost to the Golden Ambush... but it's not going to be easy, and with Candace Monroe's condition perhaps slightly unclear, can they muster the strength to stop the Tigers this time around? (Candace has been cleared for this match, but there's no telling how it'll affect her in the ring...)
The Top Prospect Championship will, surprisingly, not close the show this time around: but make no mistake, this could still easily steal the show. Akira Ryusaki and Kyle Anderson are perhaps two of Proving Ground's greatest workhorses, but Kyle will be out for one thing: to prove that he deserves to remain at the top. Still, Akira's been looking for a chance to make his own name since arriving here... and this is the best chance he may ever get.
Closing the show will be the Inspire Championship match, and what a match it's shaping up to be. It's been all-out war for weeks between Titania and Nicole Blade, culminating in a vicious brawl last Proving Ground that saw both score some brutal blows. But only one of these powerhouses will stand tall at the end of the night... does Nicole have what it takes to stand at the top of the division, or can Titania overcome one of the very few women to hold a victory over her?

It was a wild one this week, as we kicked off this two weeks of chaos, and already, things are looking crazy for the blue show. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/557516696Youtube: youtu.be/3JMYnyyGXZwQuick Results Hugo Dirksen def. Tommy Thunder Sung Moon def. Calista Vargas The Avian Assassins def. The GOAT SATOMI def. Leona Sterling Avery Adonis Alexander def. Nic Nitro The Golden Ambush def. The Limbtakers to retain the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships Akira Ryusaki def. Kyle Anderson to become the NEW Top Prospect Champion Nicole Blade def. Titania to become the NEW Inspire Champion Write-ups Your typical hot, intense Proving Ground opener, as Hugo brought his usual gameplan into play, though passed up his armwork in favor of delivering his vicious suplexes instead, en route to a solid victory over Tommy Thunder. Sung Moon continues a hot streak on Proving Ground, easily handling the agile Calista Vargas, scoring the win off of a solid Book End. We still have yet to see Calista's real finisher... does she really have one? One of the wildest matches of the night, with neither team willing to give in for a second, counters flying left and right, teamwork running wild. But Silver Hawk managed to roll up Victor, and Kellaron wasn't able to break up the pin... for some reason. SATOMI was out to make a statement tonight: the message is clear. SATOMI wants the next shot at the Inspire Championship, a chance to reclaim the title that was taken from her by Reina del Tigre. Leona simply couldn't keep up this time around... a rare crushing defeat for the Scottish fighter. Adonis had only one thing on his mind tonight: Lariats. And boy, did he deliver a lot of them to Nic Nitro tonight. There's not much else to be said here: AAA was dominant, but nearly threw the match away just to throw more lariats at Nitro. The Limbtakers gave it their all, but the Golden Ambush proved that their victory at New Year's Bash was no fluke, taking down the former champions once again. The Tigers stand tall once more... and look like they could be very, very difficult to topple. Still, the Avian Assassins appear to be next in line... and could prove the ones capable of pulling it off. Akira Ryusaki made an impact from the first day he arrived on Proving Ground... and this outcome seemed inevitable, sooner or later. Kyle couldn't fully overpower Akira here, and so, Akira was able to bring the full brunt of his offense to bear, and claimed the Top Prospect Championship with a devastating Pole Shift Flowsion. This was every bit the brutal brawl that was expected. Nicole and Titania absolutely tore into each other, but the tide turned in a hurry when Nicole drew blood. Titania slowly faded the longer the match went, and culminated in Nicole roaring into a brutal spear, followed up with the Blade's Edge, capturing the Inspire Championship in truly dominant fashion. Nicole Blade "Let that be my statement to the entire damn roster. Titania's tough... she's strong as hell, she's dangerous. But she is NOT me. She's not on MY level. Nobody is, not anymore. The day's coming soon when Proving Ground learns that lesson. I'm the Inspire Champion, and I won't be letting it go anytime soon... and soon, the Golden Ambush is gonna learn that the Excellent Blades are damn well better than they are, too.
Oh, and don't think I'm forgetting about the Avian Assassins, either. If you two bird-brains manage to get those titles from the Ambush... then the future doesn't change. All it means is I'm going bird-hunting rather than tiger-hunting. Donna and I are gonna crush every... single... one of you. Doesn't matter who."

It's a major, major show this week... one slightly extended from the norm. Let's take a look at what's coming this Monday. Anna Bryant vs. Selisha vs. Telan Kintelas vs. Listalva Anne Heyward
Besos vs. Rachel White
Natasha Clover vs. Sophia Moretti
The Sentarl Sisters vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Angel/Michelle)
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Lance Marshall
Markos Andreas vs. Rilantha De Nav
Todd Colton vs. Cassandra Marshall for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Pure Gold vs. The SFG for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships
Shiana Sentarl vs. The Black Dragon for the Phoenix Rising World Championship We kick things off this week with a 4-way Pacific Northwest division matchup... four wrestlers all looking to raise their stock in the rankings and push themselves to new heights. But it's difficult to call a winner here... nobody can be overlooked. Smart money might rest on Selisha... others may claim Telan has the best chance. But nobody can be counted out here... not even the rookie Anna Bryant. Rachel White's entire Phoenix Rising career has been one of disappointment and frustration, missed potential and heartbreak. She'll have a chance to try and turn her fortunes around against Besos, but there's no doubt in anyone's mind that it won't be an easy matchup: with Besos having scored more than her fair share of wins over opponents both overmatched and overwhelming. Natasha Clover continues her push towards the top of the Pacific Northwest division as she squares off with Sophia Moretti, determined to reclaim the title she's lost once more... but the Italian Monster could also be on the verge of a massive breakout. It's hard to tell how this one may go, but it's likely to be a vicious match as Natasha's hard brawling style clashes against Sophia's brutal submission repertoire. Kaelara's defeat at the hands of Michelle Rochefort last week has led to this: as the Sentarl Sisters look to topple Les Beautes Blondes. But with Elise Pichon likely to return to ringside this week, can Eri and Kae overcome the odds being stacked against them? Lance Marshall and Markos Andreas remain locked in a struggle to determine who will be next in line to face off for the World Championship, and both will have a tough test against a Phoenix Rising veteran this week, as Lance takes on Firehawk Sentarl, while Markos faces the Lion of Phoenix Rising, Rilantha De Nav. One could easily favor both Lance and Markos in their respective matches, but anything could happen here... Todd Colton, after delaying his shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship to face Senator Steve Phillips last week, now turns his attention to Cassandra Marshall... who will be coming off of a match in the Blackwood Academy just two days prior against Keiko Maeda. It's going to be a tough one... with how strong Cassandra's looked as of late, Todd may find more difficulty than he anticipates here as he seeks his first piece of Showdown gold. Pure Gold earned a shot at the tag titles alongside Shiana Sentarl last week as they scored the victory in the trios main event... and now, Mallory and Kanjirin are determined to reclaim the reputation they held in Proving Ground as the most dangerous team around. But with their opponents being Laenara Kintelas and Urani Whitemist, do they really have what it takes? This is it... the match many have been waiting for, including Shiana Sentarl herself. A one-on-one clash with the Black Dragon, the World Champion, the 16-month-long reign that Shiana seeks to finally bring to an end. But make no mistake: Dragon hasn't held the title for 16 months because she's a pushover, having proven herself as perhaps the single most dominant champion in the world today. It'll be an uphill battle... and one that many want the Dragon to win. Shiana Sentarl "This is it. The match that should've been, two months ago. No upstart to stand in my way, no interference from any outsider... just you and me, Dragon, the way it always should've been. I told you I'd do whatever it takes to come away with the World Championship... now you know how serious I am. And make no mistake, Dragon, I'll bring this reign to an end for good. The Queen retakes her throne... I'll be where I belong. At the very top." The Black Dragon "Let me tell a bit of a story here... dating back twenty-five years, when you and I were just young rookies starting out. You were always about a year behind... when you started your career, gaining sympathy as a jobber, I was molding myself into the Dragon already. Putting on the mask, becoming the monster I'd eventually be today. When we teamed up, there was always one thing clear... we could've been invincible, but neither of us was ever built for that role. Not together. The day I broke that team apart and put you down was the only way either of our careers ever could've been what they are now.
And need I remind you, Shiana... if not for me, you would have no career, you wouldn't have the life you've come to have to this day. If not for me... you never would've met him. If not for me, you never would've had the breakout moment you did so long ago. If not for me...
But now... none of that really matters, does it? It's come to this again. You and me, just like old times. But let me remind you, Shiana... for all the times we've faced each other, all the battles we've had, all the times you and I have stared each other down...
For every win you hold over me, I have three over you. This won't end the way you hope. I'll still be the World Champion. I'll still be the unstoppable force. I'll still be a step above every single person in Phoenix Rising.
And that's something you'll never, ever be able to change."

Starting to wonder if I'm just getting lucky or if I'm hitting some sort of hot streak, but this show was damn fine. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/561154453Youtube: youtu.be/F-zYWZdVcpMQuick Results Selisha def. Telan Kintelas, Listalva Anne Heyward and Anna Bryant Rachel White def. Besos Sophia Moretti def. Natasha Clover The Sentarl Sisters def. Les Beautes Blondes Firehawk Sentarl def. Lance Marshall Rilantha De Nav def. Markos Andreas Todd Colton def. Cassandra Marshall to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion The SFG def. Pure Gold to retain the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championships The Black Dragon def. Shiana Sentarl to retain the Phoenix Rising World Championship Write-ups Telan was easily the hottest part of this match in the early goings, first taking out Anna Bryant with a torture rack, then later, dealing out the same to Listalva. But Selisha was lying in wait from the beginning... and seized her opportunity once she was alone in the ring with Telan, forcing him to submit and pulling off a solid victory. Nobody could've seen this coming when the match was announced, but here we are: Rachel White pulled off easily the biggest upset of the night, a match that nobody anticipated she had a chance to win. Here we are, though... and rumor has it that Rachel now has her sights set on a familiar foe in two weeks. Natasha simply couldn't put this match away, as the Italian Monster slowly but surely wore her down, locking in her Eternal Night sleeper, and remaining higher in the rankings. Natasha now finds herself in a strange situation... one spot ahead of Rachel in the rankings, they're now set to face each other on the next Showdown. Bit of a blast from the past in this match: with Angel Leblanc proving to be awfully vocal towards... well, everyone in this match... referee, fans, and certainly her opponents, Eri finally seemed to take it on herself to silence her, and she did just that, laying Angel out with the Little Phoenix, much to the surprise of Kaelara, who was the legal partner at the time. Anyone who thought Firehawk Sentarl might not have what it takes anymore might've been silenced by this match, which was easily one of the best of the night. It also may have sent the World Championship contention into absolute chaos... as Lance was easily one of the next in line to perhaps challenge. Now... who knows who's going to get the shot? Rilantha De Nav showed why she's endured so long here in Phoenix Rising. The veteran was at her best against Markos Andreas, holding strong against everything he could muster before locking in the Anaconda Vice for a huge submission victory... and further sending the future of the World Championship into question. The Pacific Northwest Championship jumps once again... this time into the hands of Todd Colton, who once again claims gold in Phoenix Rising, this time on Showdown. Cassandra tried multiple times to put this one away, but an Exploder out of nowhere gave Todd the victory... and we may never hear the end of it again. Pure Gold was firing on all cylinders tonight... too bad the SFG lived up to their reputation, with Urani and Laenara dealing out the brutal teamwork they've become known for. They would eventually isolate Mallory Spaulding in their corner, Urani laying out Mallory with an Ushi-goroshi, setting Laenara up to hit a moonsault for the win, and the title defense. The Dragon conquers, once again. The longer her reign goes, the more it seems that she's completely unstoppable... and despite Shiana pushing as hard as she possibly could, Dragon put her down and forced her to tap out to the brutal facelock that's taken down so many challengers. But who will step up next? The Black Dragon "Let that be a reminder of who the hell I am. Shiana, you're good... you always have been. But you aren't on my level, and you never have been. Consider yourself near the top if you want... and against anyone else, you might be right. But I'm on a completely different level. And I will never... EVER... let you take this title from me. Nobody has what it takes. And if I have anything to say about it... nobody ever will." Todd Colton "See... while you spend your time focusing on some Academy kid wanting to prove herself for her mom, I've been making damn sure I was ready to take this title tonight. And surprise, here it is, around MY waist, where it should be. Here I am... former Top Prospect, now Pacific Northwest Champion. Another step on my path to the top. Doesn't matter how long I hold this title, because you know I'm gonna rise even higher... you're looking at a future World Champion, so you listen close, DRAGON... the day's gonna come where I come for you, or whoever might hold that title by the time I get there. So keep it warm... 'cause I'll damn well make my way to it."

Evergreen's coming Thursday night to close out this two weeks of "holy shit championships", and it's gonna end inside a steel cage. Awwww yeah. (This means, of course, that this Evergreen will be taking place in the very same arena that Showdown runs, rather than its usual home...) Julian Shepard vs. Veronika Armstrong
Tasharun vs. Concrete Pete
The Bingo Hall Mutants vs. The Sheridan Brothers
Rebecca Andrews vs. Skidmark
Sayaka Saito vs. Babe Ruthless
Kevin Royce vs. Argent
El Verde vs. eMo (Eddy/Penelope) for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships
Mercy Devine vs. Strawberry Sookie for the Evergreen Championship inside a STEEL CAGEThe night kicks off as Julian Shepard seeks to regain some sort of momentum in his singles career, against someone else who's seen her stock fall badly over the past few months, Veronika Armstrong. One way or another, someone's getting themselves back on track here...
Tasharun might be finding himself in somewhat of a foul mood as of late... with the Demons shockingly falling to El Verde a few weeks ago, costing them a shot at reclaiming the Evergreen Tag Team Championships, he's sought to vent his frustrations wherever possible... last time, it was the Sheridan Brothers, and now, it's fan favorite Concrete Pete. This one could get real ugly in a hurry...
The Sheridan Brothers, meanwhile, face a brutal blast from the past... the Mutants are back in town, and no doubt they'll be looking to kick off another run of Philly-style violence here in the Northwest. Vincent and Zack have already had their share of struggles with one dominant team... and against the most dominant tag champions in Evergreen's short history, what can they possibly do?
A bit of a surprising matchup this week for Rebecca Andrews, as she flies solo against none other than Skidmark, one of Evergreen's resident Big Boys. It's not going to be an easy matchup, by any stretch... but Rebecca will certainly be motivated to pull off a huge upset here to get her team back in the hunt.
Sayaka Saito will also be looking to change the fortunes of her band, as she squares off with Babe Ruthless. Sayaka may perhaps be the most dangerous of the trio in singles action, but even she hasn't had much luck as of late... but could this be the night that things turn around?
Argent exploded back onto the scene out of the blue a few weeks back, wiping out both Concrete Pete and Skidmark to re-establish himself after a disappointing Proving Ground run. But this won't be anything like his last few matches... not against Kevin Royce, who's coming off of a colossal victory over Elly Blackwood, breaking her undefeated streak and setting himself up for a shot at the Evergreen Championship in the very near future...
El Verde, the fan favorites, the most popular team in Evergreen, are looking for tag gold... trouble is, eMo doesn't seem all too eager to let them take it. It's Eddy Introspect and Penelope Lea defending their titles, and no doubt Luci will also find her way to the ring here, as El Verde seek to topple the unlikely champions.
This has been building for some time now... with Mercy first scoring a win over Sookie some weeks ago, she was given the ultimatum to work her way through eMo before Sookie would give her the title match she'd earned. And after defeating Luci and Penelope, Mercy looked well on track to do just that... at least until the rest of eMo swarmed her after defeating Penelope, making it clear that Sookie had absolutely no intention of ever letting Mercy claim the title from her. But this has had a side effect... as their championship match WILL happen, and it'll occur inside of a steel cage... no escape, just a vicious, brutal fight to the finish, with Evergreen's top prize on the line.

We have now concluded this wild two weeks of "holy shit championships". Things will soon return to normal. Sort of. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/562633177Youtube: youtu.be/rnalXc-B_1AQuick Results Julian Shepard def. Veronika Armstrong Tasharun def. Concrete Pete The Bingo Hall Mutants def. The Sheridan Brothers Skidmark def. Rebecca Andrews Sayaka Saito def. Babe Ruthless Argent def. Kevin Royce El Verde def. eMo to become the NEW Evergreen Tag Team Champions BONUS MATCH: Elly Blackwood def. Andrea "Fire" Hawke Strawberry Sookie def. Mercy Devine to retain the Evergreen Championship Write-ups Exactly what you expect for an Evergreen opener: moving quickly, and not letting up for a second until Julian snapped out with a Frankensteiner for a flash victory out of the blue. Tasharun cements himself as one of Evergreen's most hated with this one: just about taking Pete's head off with a Demon's Wrath, laying the big man out cold. It's not clear how long Pete might be out of action after the crushing blow, but no doubt the fans will hold this one against the demon for a long time. The Mutants are back. And the entire Evergreen tag division shudders. Not the least of which will be the Sheridans, who are likely to remember this brutal beatdown for a while... and they can't even take the edge off of it as they're not likely to get any barbecue invites anytime soon. Skidmark did what Skidmark does: the big man with a huge size and strength advantage made great use of it, crushing Rebecca Andrews and picking up a dominant victory. Sayaka Saito came roaring out of the gate here, determined to get at least one victory for her trio tonight, and she did exactly that, landing a huge Fisherman DDT en route to a much-needed win, and once again setting herself up as the top singles star of the band. Just one show after Kevin Royce did what nobody else could in defeating Elly Blackwood, Argent came into the spotlight and did the same to Royce. This was one of the most brutal brawls of the entire show, but Argent played it smart... despite things spilling to the outside, he never let Royce get a foothold with his pile of chairs, and wiped out the supposed #1 contender with Quicksilver. Once again, the Evergreen Championship scene falls into chaos... The two most unreliable partners in the business (most of the time)... and that proved a factor in the finish here. While Eddy seemed to think he had Evergringo's number and snapped him up for a pin, Verde had already landed a crushing Pedigree on Penelope... and before Eddy realized it, the three-count had already landed, and El Verde had captured the tag titles, right behind his back! With the pace of the show proving to be a blistering one, management thought quickly to give the crowd their money's worth on the night... enter Andrea Hawke, who stepped into the ring against formerly-undefeated Elly Blackwood. And despite being a guest, Andrea helped bring this match to be one of the best of the night... although Elly would have the final say, forcing a submission with the usual armbar. Still, this may not be the last time we see Hawke in Evergreen. Strawberry Sookie looks nigh-unstoppable as Evergreen Champion. No matter who lines up to face her, she's held her ground... no matter the odds, and no matter the opponent. And with nobody to back her up, a cage surrounding them, she stood against Mercy Devine and struck down the boss. With the next contender in doubt... who will challenge her next? And who even has a chance against her?

It keeps rolling right along, week after week. At this point I'm strapped in for the fuckin' ride until I can't stand it anymore (and that hasn't happened yet.) Leona Sterling vs. Amber WrightHugo Dirksen vs. Nick MacLeodTitania and Christina Wagner vs. The Muscle MachinesChico Con Carne vs. Pajaro de FuegoCalista Vargas vs. SATOMIKellaron Sentarl vs. Kyle AndersonThe Excellent Blades vs. Winter FreshAkira Ryusaki vs. Rey de la CarneIt all gets rolling with Leona Sterling stepping into the ring with a singular goal: continue to tear down the Proving Ground women's division by any means necessary. And despite a loss to SATOMI last week, she's not backing down an inch, now setting her sights on Amber Wright and seeking to knock down the second-generation woman down a notch once more... We've been waiting for this one. Rumored to be making his debut for weeks, Nick MacLeod has finally arrived in Proving Ground, and he'll have a tough test against Hugo Dirksen... the new arrival, the Scottish powerhouse will be tested right from the start. Could this have ever been predicted when Titania first arrived? The Blue Bomber, just a short time after losing the Inspire Championship to Nicole Blade, appears to have a new plan in mind... perhaps her sights now set on the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships. And alongside her, the German-Canadian Christina Wagner... a team that's already seen success in their first match together, now challenging the Muscle Machines... and perhaps Titania has a bit of a grudge to settle. We haven't seen much from La Familia the past few shows, but that changes this week as Chico Con Carne squares off with Pajaro de Fuego... two men who are more than capable of turning up the heat, and delivering a high-speed lucha contest that could easily steal the show. It's Calista Vargas's turn to step into the ring with the always-dangerous SATOMI, who has so far taken down nearly everyone who's crossed her path as of late. With only a stunning loss to Felice Santana lately, SATOMI remains at the top of the heap... but could Calista turn it all on its head? And just what is her finisher?Kyle Anderson is still reeling from losing the Top Prospect Championship to Akira Ryusaki last Proving Ground... and he'll be looking to fight right back into the mix for that title against Kellaron Sentarl. But Kellaron has yet to hold singles gold in his young career... and he'll be looking for a big win over the former champion here, perhaps leveraging it into a shot at the new champion. The new Inspire Champion returns to the side of her tag team partner... and Winter Fresh will look to spoil Nicole Blade's first match as champion with their high-speed attack. But the combination of Nicole's raw power, alongside Donna Nobel's superior technique... could there be a major upset in the cards? The new champion won't be resting after his big win: jumping straight back into the mix as he takes on Rey de la Carne, a former Top Prospect Champion himself. This is where we'll truly see what kind of champion Akira is... if he can handle the combination of high-speed lucha action alongside Rey's unorthodox tactics. Titania and Christina Wagner The brand-new tag team stood side by side... and it was Titania that spoke first. "There's a whole hell of a lot to get through... but let's start at the top. Nicole Blade is gonna answer for taking my title. She's gonna learn, one way or another, that crossing me was the biggest mistake she's ever made. And I'll damn well make sure she regrets ever stepping into that ring with me. But this week? That's not the important part. Oh, no, not even a little bit. The Blades can run along and play with the little ladies of Winter Fresh all they want. But I've got my eyes on bigger game. Bigger, cockier, and with more bulk than brains, to boot. The fuckin' Muscle Machines... I still remember being shoved in a trio with you two loudmouthed idiots, and I've been itching to come after you ever since... but there was never anyone worth a damn to make it worth my while. Until now." Titania turned... and nodded to Christina.
"When I first arrived here, my intention was to enter myself into this constant conversation... who is the strongest woman here? Who has the proper claim? But why argue the matter... when I can ensure something else. The single most dominant team imaginable... the raw, brutal power that Titania holds, alongside my own strength and ability? Not even these Muscle Machines can stand a chance. You'll learn that soon enough... don't think I haven't heard your words, Avery Alexander, even while I trained in the Academy. You'll learn your lesson, one way or another." Both women are silent for a moment... but Christina eventually speaks once more, this time in German. <Make no mistake. Both of us have reason to want the two of you crushed and broken. And we will do just that.>

The Muscle Machines(Pre show) Gary Gear: Gonna get pumped, yeah! Gonna get fired up! Yeah! Gonna get stronger than ever! Aw yeah!
Adonis Avery Alexander: What on earth are you doing?
Gear: Got a big match tonight, gotta impress!
AAA: We're up against two women. You should be able to bench press both of them at once.
Gear: You got rocks in your head, Adonis! Heard good things about Wagner, and Titania's not some stick girl, she's got real muscle! She's legit! She's alright in my book!
AAA: She's not any good, thinks she lives the builder life, but doesn't come close. And she can't do anything against someone her own size, all she does is squash little high fliers. Besides, I don't get along with her, anyway.
Gear: You ain't gettin' along with nobody!
AAA: Spoken like a true ignorant clod, in actuality, you said I get along with everyone.
Gear: Uh, what?
AAA: You said, "ain't gettin' along with nobody." Seeing that you used a pedestrian double negative, what you actually said was that I get along with everyone. Which is not the case, because I am clearly genetically superior to everyone.
Gear: Shuddup! Anyway, gotta get looking big and strong for Titania, gotta get myself in max condition! Get outta my way! Fear Gary Gear!
AAA: Whatever.
After their match AAA: You sluggish fool, you cost me another match! Another one!
Gear: Told you Titania's legit! And so was Wagner!
AAA: Do you want me to go flush your roids down the toilet?
Gear: Hey! I didn't lose that match, you did! Stop actin' like I screwed up!
AAA: You probably just didn't make the save because you want a piece of her, isn't that right?
Gear: Only thing you ever wanted to screw was lookin' back at you in the mirror!
AAA: Maybe I should throw you right through a mirror, you know, like Michaels did to Jannetty. Like the superior partner did to the weak link.
Gear: I ain't no Jannetty! And that was a window, not a mirror!
AAA: Unimportant details, you know exactly what I was saying. Anyway, go have your fun, your favorite wrestler in the world won the match, go celebrate.
Gear: Hey, I ain't happy about losing, serious! But you need to get your head outta your ass, already!
AAA: I'm sure there's no difference in your case between your cranium and your posterior. Certainly, the former doesn't contain any brain cells. And you can't move the latter fast enough to make any saves.
Gear: Wouldn't have to make the save if you didn't keep getting pinned and tapped!
AAA: Whatever.

Quick show tonight, solid in its own way. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/564743478Youtube: youtu.be/xLVbF6TamM0Quick Results Amber Wright def. Leona Sterling Nick MacLeod def. Hugo Dirksen Titania and Christina Wagner def. The Muscle Machines Pajaro de Fuego def. Chico Con Carne SATOMI def. Calista Vargas Kyle Anderson def. Kellaron Sentarl Winter Fresh def. The Excellent Blades Rey de la Carne def. Akira Ryusaki Write-ups Nobody could've called this when the match was announced. But Amber Wright came out with something to prove, and prove it she did, absolutely wiping out Leona Sterling in a stunning display. Could Amber finally be coming into her own? The debuting Nick MacLeod made it no secret of his intentions for Proving Ground... and made it very clear, as he tore Hugo Dirksen apart and planted the Dutchman with a massive Torture Rack Bomb for the victory. The Pride of Scotland has arrived. There was a lot of bad blood to be had here, and a lot of showing off... raw strength and power was the order of the day, and none bigger than Titania's colossal powerbomb off the top turnbuckle, crushing Avery Adonis Alexander in spectacular fashion and ensuring that nobody will look past this duo anytime soon. Pajaro de Fuego continues to run hot, absolutely blitzing his way through Chico Con Carne, but finishing on the hated Ranabomb. For all the fight that Calista brought to this match, it just wasn't enough to stand up to SATOMI, who steadily wore the Brazilian down and planted her with the familiar Driver that's won her so many matches before. Kyle Anderson, still seething from losing his Top Prospect Champion to Akira Ryusaki, made it very clear that he's determined to reclaim that title sooner rather than later, and absolutely crushed Kellaron Sentarl along the way, delivering a brutal Baltimore Bomb to seal the deal. Winter Fresh delivered one of the most impressive matches of their time on Proving Ground, staying a step ahead of the Blades until Fresh Suzuki delivered a crushing Swanton Bomb... and scored the stunning, shocking pinfall victory over the reigning Inspire Champion. Could Fresh be making a run for that title in addition to Winter Fresh potentially having their sights set on the Golden Ambush? Rey de la Carne once again looked like the man who once held the Top Prospect Championship, staying firmly ahead of champion Akira Ryusaki en route to landing a huge powerbomb, and ensuring that this won't be the last time these two meet... SATOMI <Calista Vargas... you're good. I admit that much. But you stepped into the ring with the best Proving Ground has ever seen. Your time may come, but it will not be while I'm still here. The time is coming when I reclaim my place at the top. Nicole Blade, Titania, Fresh Suzuki, whoever thinks they have what it takes to hold that championship... I am coming for every single contender, and claiming that title in its rightful place once again.>

Showdown coming up on Monday. Academy show on Saturday first, but that's a house show as usual, I'll work on that later. Fenix Oscuro vs. Blake DynamiteTelan Kintelas vs. Listalva Anne HeywardThe Sentarl Sisters vs. Les Beautes Blondes (Michelle and Elise)Natasha Clover vs. Rachel WhiteThe Black Dragon vs. Kileas KintelasTsaoring Chou (UBL) vs. Minoru Hoshino (ZIP Japan)Layla Al-Amin vs. Todd Colton for the Pacific Northwest ChampionshipLance Marshall vs. Markos Andreas vs. Firehawk Sentarl vs. Rilantha De Nav, #1 contender's match for the World ChampionshipThings kick off in a big way, as Fenix Oscuro returns to the ring to take on one of the best high-flyers in the world today in Blake Dynamite. Once again, Oscuro will seek to rise through the ranks, and perhaps prepare a case to eventually challenge for the World Championship... but Blake will certainly stand in her way. Queen Anne is looking for revenge and redemption for the 4-way last week, intent on getting Telan back for eliminating her during that matchup. Still, it's not going to be easy... given the size and strength difference, Listalva will surely have an uphill battle against him. Les Beautes Blondes demanded a rematch with the Sentarl Sisters this week after Eri wiped out Angel Leblanc last week... but with Angel still on the shelf, it'll be Elise Pichon taking her place. The question now is whether the sisters can repeat their victory over the French trio... now a duo, at least temporarily. Set up last week with Rachel winning her match, and Natasha losing hers, these two rivals finally meet in the ring again for the first time in months. Natasha has always held an advantage over Rachel in past meetings... but could the tides turn against her this time? Kileas Kintelas is out with something to prove against the World Champion, but the Dragon will certainly be intent on shutting down any and all challengers to her reign... with a guaranteed #1 contender by the end of the night, the champion won't want to allow a second one to come forward. You're seeing this correctly: two wrestlers, neither of whom is a member of the Phoenix Rising roster, stepping forward to square off in a huge exhibition match. Story goes that Firehawk saw this matchup in passing recently... and pulled a few strings to get it on a Phoenix Rising show, so it could be shown live. Two fantastic juniors square off here, and chances are, this one's going to be one hell of a show-stealer. Todd Colton faces the first test of his Pacific Northwest Championship reign, as the Cairo Cyclone seeks to claim her first gold on Showdown as well... but with how good Todd's been since his arrival on Showdown, it's not going to be easy to bring him down and end his run. Still, Layla Al-Amin has always stepped up against tough competition... These four have all been close to the top for some time now... and it's entirely unclear who's really the best of the bunch, who will earn the shot at the Dragon. We'll finally get an answer this week: these four will finally settle the question of who's going to face the World Champion next. OrochiGeese TheDenizen This is the week! Monday night, 7:30 Pacific start time, the match that stems from a random-chance DEMO match finally happens live. I really don't have a clue how this is gonna go, but I'm expecting some great things...

LOL - I love the canon explanation of what actually happened! 😁 Thanks so much for booking Tsaoring! I'm gonna make sure he's updated on the Workshop tonight just so that you have the most current version going into the match. I think this is going to be an awesome match! Also really looking forward to the Black Dragon vs. Kileas Kintelas and the 4-way main event!!

So, by now there's a whole lot of crap going on around the world. You'll notice that Proving Ground this past week ran completely as normal. This is going to continue. I won't make light of what's going on with this whole mess, but I'm just not the sort of person who really wants to mix in what's going on in the real world so much. Fuck's sake, I run this thing out of Washington state, who has... interesting laws regarding wrestling, let's say. (Suffice to say even the local feds up here have to run on some "unusual" rules, all things considered. Basically, though, for the sake of narrative and for the sake of "good god I just wanna run my show without worrying about details that'd fuck me over IRL", I pretty much don't pay it much mind.) Oh, not to mention the whole "Washington's governor banning gatherings over 250 people" thing. Yeah.ANYWAY, before I get to the point of rambling on about this whole thing, I will continue to run Phoenix Rising on-schedule, with no changes. No empty-arena shows, no venue changes, I just kind of don't wanna think about it for a couple hours while I stream, more or less. Now, as for some other news... of a lighter nature. Big Big BIG Announcement below, no seriously (I admit I've alluded to this a few times already this year) The video opens up on an empty room after a brief moment of static... a few moments of silence, before the figure of one Andrea "Fire" Hawke appears on camera, tapping it and adjusting the angle briefly before letting herself come properly into view. "Right. So. There's been a lot of rumor lately about something about to happen around here on April 1. Y'know, April Fools. Rumors flying around all over the place, y'know? So here I am, Friday the 13th... wait, why the HELL am I doin' this on FRIDAY THE-"
The feed jumps slightly, Andrea apparently having cut some footage in the meantime. "Right, rumors. Here's the thing. When it comes to rumors floating around... it's not always a great idea to buy into 'em, you know? Sometimes people will spread a bunch of crap that's obviously not true. Sometimes people have their own agendas. So, let me set the record straight. Right here, right now."
There's a bit of an awkward silence. Andrea seems to be thinking of exactly how to say what's on her mind... then shrugs. "OK, OK. There's absolutely something happening, April 1, 2020. A Wednesday, of all days, if you can believe it. You wanna know what's in store? See, I've made a few appearances around here... me and Kaede Takeda both. But it's always been on someone else's show. Evergreen, or Phoenix Rising, or wherever we happen to pop up. On that subject, by the way, I'm totally open for whatever booking you might wanna get me in for. I'm easy to contact. ... Not the point, though.
"See, I've been itching to bring my own show out this way for a while now, and I figured... why not? Let's turn the damn world on its head. Let's roll with the best day possible. April Friggin' First, a day where nothing's ever the way it seems. A show presented by yours truly, Andrea Hawke... Kaede and Tomiko Takeda... and a whole host of other 'counterparts' to the guys and girls you're used to seeing. You wanna know what I've got in store, you better tune in on that night, 'cause I'm only gonna announce a single match for that show ahead of time. See... it's not gonna be all people from my neck of the woods... if you can call an 'alternate universe' by that term, anyway... I did have to pull a couple strings and shore up the card with some more familiar names. And we're gonna close out the night with a main event the likes of which even Evergreen's not yet dared to run..." Andrea glances off camera... leans over a bit, then blinks, tilting her head slightly. "Oh, they did one. Wait, no, I remember that, that wasn't even a damn match, though. See, this one's gonna be a proper fight." Andrea smirks... looks back to the camera.
"The main event's gonna be none other than a Landmine Deathmatch between two of the most enduring stars from both Evergreen and the PEWA. One of 'em is a bit new around Evergreen... but you've all taken to the guy so well, I couldn't pass up having the fan favorite make an appearance. His opponent, well... I mean, the guy should technically still be on the shelf but he'll probably... er, hopefully... be fine in time for the show? Ehh, not like anyone could stop him from showing up, 'cause we got his favorite kind of violence primed for some fun. It's gonna be Evergreen's Concrete Pete vs. PEWA's Tiny Giant, Tomas... Landmine Deathmatch... light tubes in the corners and, hopefully, scattered around the ring as well. You wanna see a war, you're gonna get one between two polar opposites... the big man of Evergreen, the man that probably lives purely on a diet of triple cheeseburgers and steak... versus the skinny but colossal, wild and untamed, light-tube swinging legend."
Andrea lets out a long breath, then claps her hands together. "And just so I don't leave you wondering what the hell else might happen on the show, lemme list off a few names you'll be getting to see. In terms of people you already know: myself, the Takedas, you'll get another look at miss Kiana Yamazaki... AKA the less batshit crazy version of your own Mercy Devine... we've gotten agreements with the Blackwood Academy to have the Yoshida Twins in a match, we've got Amber Wright coming in... you'll find out why the night of the show... we've got a couple of actual shoot-style matches on the card, and we've got a few more names that you've never seen before. Trust me, people... you don't wanna miss this. So keep an eye out... April 1. Same time that Phoenix Rising would usually run, 7:30 Pacific. I'm lookin' forward to it... so should you."

We keep things rolling as we always do. With a damn fine show. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/568850832Youtube: youtu.be/Ek9VU1v2XhYQuick Results Fenix Oscuro def. Blake Dynamite Telan Kintelas def. Listalva Anne Heyward The Sentarl Sisters def. Les Beautes Blondes Natasha Clover def. Rachel White The Black Dragon def. Kileas Kintelas Minoru Hoshino def. Tsaoring Chou Todd Colton def. Layla Al-Amin to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Firehawk Sentarl won the 4-way match to become #1 contender for the World Championship Write-ups A hot opener between two wrestlers that know their way around the skies... but despite Blake breaking out the Lotation, Oscuro would not be denied, landing a crushing 450 Splash to score a stunning victory. Listalva wanted payback for her elimination last Showdown, but she just couldn't keep Telan down... and one mistake sent her crashing down, Telan picking up another important victory. Les Beautes Blondes wanted desperately to avenge the injured Angel Leblanc, who was nowhere to be seen tonight... but the Sentarl sisters were relentless, pushing the pace harder and harder as the match went on... and Kae was able to finish things off by forcing Michelle to submit to her Chickenwing Facelock. For all the progress Rachel's made, for as impressive as she's looked in her past few matches... it just wasn't enough to overcome the woman that's been such a thorn in her side for the past two years. This was a reunion that neither looked forward to... and although Rachel tried multiple times to put Natasha down, she eventually got caught by a vicious Spear, and fell in a disappointing defeat. Once again, Showdown delivers a match that could very well go down as one of the best of the year. Kileas Kintelas endured far more than anyone ever should be capable of against the Black Dragon, refusing to fall through nearly every single one of Dragon's biggest moves. At one point, he even stole the vicious reverse chokeslam she's become known for... but he couldn't put the champion away, and finally got caught in a brutal bearhug that finally put an end to the match. Dragon weathers another immense challenge in her long reign at the top. Neither side let up for a second here. And with the apparent prize of a shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship on the line, neither was willing to quit. But it seemed that Hoshino was simply the hungrier of the two on this night, the ZIP veteran scoring a big-time win... not with the 450 he's become so known for, but with what some would refer to as THE DEAL. You know the drill. As good as Layla Al-Amin is at pushing her opponents, Todd Colton is defending a championship... and we all know how vicious he can be in defense of a title. Layla put up what she could, but an exploder from the Pacific Northwest Champion put the Cairo Cyclone down for the count. Some would say there was no doubt about this outcome at the beginning of the night. Some would argue that it was impossible to call from the start. Either way, the result is the same... Firehawk Sentarl stands tall at the end of the night, with a shot at the World Championship headed his way. Is this finally the moment for the veteran? Can the man in charge finally claim his own championship? Or will the Dragon once again conquer a challenger, as she continues her dominant reign? Natasha Clover "Nothing ever changes. The people who are the best will rise to the top, one way or another. Championships will move to the people that are most deserving. You and I are never... ever... going to see eye-to-eye again. And you will never... EVER... beat me one-on-one without someone stepping in to help you. Face the facts, Rachel. Your career, up to this point, has been a joke. You couldn't hack it on Proving Ground. You haven't gotten anywhere here on Showdown. You still can't beat me. And maybe it's high time you finally accepted the truth. You're nothing. Destined for obscurity. A footnote in Phoenix Rising's history. There's no future for you here. Not while I'm around."

Great show!! Telan has a really cool look! Love the singlet design and tights pattern/colors!
Sentarl/LBB match sounded like a masterpiece!
Kileas/Dragon also sounded epic!
Thanks again for running Chou vs. Hoshino!! 😀
As for Chou/Hoshino - wow, I really enjoyed this!! Chou gave it his best early but Hoshino took a definite early advantage with those suplexes, including a nasty gourdbuster!
Oh wow - early Code Red!! Chou loves making the comeback though! That's completely what he's built for. And he had a really nice reversal to Hoshino's attempted suplex!! Then he began a huge run of momentum!!! Like as soon as he hits that reversal, he goes nuts!!
Then the match becomes more even at this point and they spend less time having control and trade more. Chou with a really nice rebound dropkick! Hoshino loves that momentum-stopping gourbuster and I love the chain into the Tiger Suplex '85. Chou misses the Pele kick and Hoshino take HUGE advantage!! Almost got the 3 off the 450!! Another 450, rope break! Chou tries his signature hurracanarana set-up twice but Hoshino avoids the follow-up splash. Another TS'85 but Chou kicks out! Wow!!
Absolutely perfect finish into THE DEAL (Falcon Arrow) - playing off all of the suplex building throughout the match. Loved this!! I agree that he seemed a bit hungrier tonight.
