I'd ask who saw this coming but apparently I'm getting predictable Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/466478033Youtube: youtu.be/sAY5WWdjESIQuick Results Listalva Anne Heyward def. Besos The Malevolent Triad (Haruka/Selisha) def. the Sentarl Sisters Mallory Spaulding def. Alexandria Kirison Kanjirin Tonorian def. Markos Andreas The Wild West def. Les Beautes Blondes Fenix Oscuro def. Shiana Sentarl Sophia Moretti def. Blake Dynamite to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion FIREHAWK SENTARL def. The Black Dragon in the open challenge Write-ups Strong opener between two of the best around for the Pacific Northwest division, but Queen Anne keeps on rolling in impressive fashion as she takes down Besos. Every bit as intense as anticipated, with Kaelara showing just how dangerous she still is... a couple of Kae Busters keeping the sisters in the fight. But Selisha seemingly wasn't going to be denied tonight... locking in the Fangs of Fascination on Eri, and doing what very few have been able to do, in forcing the Little Phoenix to submit. This is the Mallory Spaulding we haven't gotten to see much of lately: in her first singles match in quite some time, she took Alex to task, and despite a tough fight from the Greek, Mallory eventually landed one final, huge backdrop that laid Alex out for the three-count. Kanjirin was likewise impressive immediately after... absolutely dominant over Markos Andreas, eventually landing a crushing Jackhammer to claim a second victory for Pure Gold on the night. Overall... this was much-needed by the struggling team. Despite some interference from Elise Pichon and a strong effort from the Blondes, the Marshalls wouldn't leave without a victory here, Lance eventually managing to lock in the Cloverleaf and forcing Angel to tap out. Shiana's first match back after her minor injury was not one that inspired much confidence. Oscuro was in charge of this from the opening bell, and never let up until she'd snapped Shiana up in a rana dead-center of the ring, making for a bad night for the Sentarls... and a dominant showing for the Triad. An incredible war from start to finish: Blake tried everything he could to keep Sophia down, but the Italian was on another level tonight, determined to come away with that championship in hand. She finally locked in her familiar Eternal Night submission, and Blake's reign comes to an end at the hands of the Italian Monster. Of all the people to answer the call, Firehawk was... perhaps not unexpected, but still perhaps a strange choice. Stranger still, then, that he gave the fight of his life to the Dragon, trading blows with the champion back and forth throughout the entire match, fighting through being busted open by a headbutt, and eventually scoring perhaps one of the most impressive victories yet after landing a Phoenix Dive on the World Champion, and winning the open challenge... setting Firehawk up for a second clash with the Dragon in the near future, this time with the World Championship on the line. Can Firehawk finally shake off his reputation? Is he really past his prime as so many believe? The Black Dragon "Of all the people in the back that could've come through that fucking curtain... it had to be you. You just can't accept that the world's passing you by, that you're a shadow of the man you used to be, and you think one victory is gonna change that? This title belongs to me... and I'm not letting YOU be the one to take it! I gave you a taste of what you're in for... and you had damn well better believe that next time we meet, I'm going to make sure you never... ever think of challenging me again." The Malevolent Triad "How else did you think this was going to end? You've gone and embarrassed yourselves... especially you, Eri." Oscuro's voice is back to its cold, vicious attitude... a layer of supreme confidence after the Triad's victories tonight. "I watched Selisha choke the life out of you... and I want you to remember how that felt." She turns... until now, the only sight was of that intimidating mask, but the scene behind her is chaotic, seemingly the locker room where the Sentarls had prepared earlier in the night. Haruka and Selisha appear to have attacked Kaelara and Shiana already, both women out cold on the floor... and once again, Eri's being restrained, trying to fight her way out, until Oscuro comes straight at her, landing a kick that sends Eri sprawling. "Take this as a warning, Eri... your family can't protect you... you can't stop us. And if you ever think of crossing me again... you won't be the only one at risk." Oscuro waves off the other two... and the Triad leave a locker room that looks like a tornado ripped through it, with the three Sentarl women all laid out on the floor.

So, next week is going to be a bit weird. From next Thursday through most of Sunday, I will be out of town... and this means that my normal plans to run Evergreen next Thursday are not gonna be happening, because good lord I am not even going to attempt to stream over the internet I'll have over there. Suffice to say that we're doing this trip on somewhat short notice because of family goings-on, and for the time being, that's all I'm gonna say on the matter. As a result, the schedule for the rest of August is gonna look like this. Saturday, August 17: Academy House Show Monday, August 19: Proving Ground #40 Monday, August 26: Showdown #40 Thursday, August 29: Evergreen #16 Saturday, August 31: Academy Live Show This isn't a huge deal since August kinda landed in a good spot, but I wanted to let everyone know what was going on ahead of time. With that out of the way, the card for next Monday's Proving Ground: Adrenaline Rush vs. The Avian Assassins
Golden Tiger vs. Akira Ryusaki
Kellaron Sentarl vs. Hugo Dirksen
The Excellent Blades vs. The Muscle Machines, #1 contender's match
Titania vs. Reina del Tigre
Victor Kintelas vs. Argent
SATOMI vs. Golden Tigress
Main Event: Kyle Anderson vs. Todd ColtonAdrenaline Rush is looking to keep their momentum going. With things finally looking up for Nic Nitro and Tommy Thunder, nevertheless, they'll have a tough test ahead of them in the Avian Assassins, looking to strike back after last week's defeat.
The Golden Ambush all fly solo this week, with the Tiger taking on another newcomer to Proving Ground in Akira Ryusaki. Akira has been nothing short of fantastic from day one... but can he hold up against the most vicious member of the Golden Ambush trio?
Kellaron Sentarl aims to keep himself on track... staying on Proving Ground for the time being, he'll try to stay near the top of the field as he takes on Hugo Dirksen... one half of Team Proving Ground.
With the Blades and the Muscle Machines both on a hot streak, it seems only fitting that they square off to decide who will be the first opponents for the newly-crowned Proving Ground Tag Team Champions, the Limbtakers. With Candace and RNA getting a well-deserved week off, these two teams will be fighting with all they've got to make their challenge a reality...
Titania's path through the women's division continues as she sets her sights on Reina del Tigre. While she may not be the same high-flying style that many of the others on Proving Ground are, Reina is still a tough foe, and Titania is determined to punch through and pick up a win en route to her real target: SATOMI.
As Victor's partner takes on one half of Team Proving Ground, he'll face the other half in Argent. Could this all be leading up to Victor and Kellaron taking on Team Proving Ground in a tag match? Only time will tell us that.
SATOMI continues her run after defending her title from Jennifer Phoenix... and now, she'll take on the last member of the Golden Ambush trio in Golden Tigress. Tigress has been a dynamic opponent in tag action thus far, but can she hold up to the Inspire Champion solo?
Finally, the night ends on a blockbuster match: Kyle Anderson takes on the Top Prospect, Todd Colton. Todd seems determined to defend his title from anyone and everyone that comes his way... steadily becoming the workhorse of Proving Ground. But Kyle has been rising through the ranks... some would think, for far too long. And it's high time he broke out... or so he believes. Can Todd stop Kyle from breaking through and becoming the star everyone knows he can be?

It's hard to be disappointed with an "average" show when Proving Ground's average is still pretty damn good. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/469698743Youtube: youtu.be/nQviHQiz6-sQuick Results The Avian Assassins def. Adrenaline Rush Akira Ryusaki def. Golden Tiger Hugo Dirksen def. Kellaron Sentarl The Excellent Blades def. The Muscle Machines Titania def. Reina del Tigre Argent def. Victor Kintelas SATOMI def. Golden Tigress Todd Colton def. Kyle Anderson Write-ups A strong opener... of course. A typical Phoenix Rising tag opener, with the Avian Assassins surprisingly on the back foot for a lot of the match, only escaping with the win when Pajaro de Fuego managed to snap Tommy Thunder up in a flash pin to score the victory. Golden Tiger's first foray into singles action showed just how dangerous he could potentially be... but Akira Ryusaki was not going to be denied tonight, dishing out one hell of a beating, and leveled the Tiger with a Pole Shift Flowsion to pick up an impressive win, and continuing to make Akira look like a future superstar. Hugo Dirksen just would not quit. No matter how many times Kellaron locked in a crossface of any description, Hugo simply would not give in, and eventually would catch the former tag champion in a Binding Suplex to take the win, a stunning victory no matter how you look at it. The Blades are apparently sick and tired of being overlooked... time and time again, the titles never seem to come their way. But this could be their chance... with a stunning performance that saw them defeat the Muscle Machines, Donna Nobel and Nicole Blade have locked themselves in as the first challengers for new Proving Ground Tag Team Champions, the Limbtakers... could that reign come to an early end? Reina del Tigre made this perhaps more of a fight than Titania was anticipating... and by the end of the match the two were determined to put the other away by any means necessary. But a huge Titanic Bomb picked up the win for Titania once again... and it seems like the Blue Bomber has her eyes on something even bigger, next. Victor tried his best to keep Argent down, here, but it seemed like he just wouldn't stay down. It was a jumping powerbomb that put this one away, though Victor gave this one a hell of an effort. Still... a rough outing for him tonight. Tigress was perhaps more impressive than her male counterpart earlier in the night, giving SATOMI one hell of a fight, but the Inspire Champion was relentless, keeping her Nagata Lock cinched in as often as possible until Tigress was forced to tap out. As good as Kyle Anderson is, it seems that Todd Colton really is the best of the best in Proving Ground right now: the Top Prospect enduring a hell of a beating, with Kyle throwing the champion around the ring, only for Todd to continue fighting and eventually locking in one of his trademark arm submissions to pick up another impressive win. Todd Colton "So in case you haven't figured it out by now, this isn't gonna end the way you think it will. You notice that nobody's talking about this being a fluke anymore? That people don't look at me like I don't belong at the top? They've all figured out, and so should everyone else, that I won the Top Prospect Championship because I am, without a doubt, the best of the best around here. I've beaten Victor. I've beaten Kellaron. Now I've beaten Kyle. All three of them guys that people THOUGHT were the best, here, but they're not. I am. Every time someone steps into that ring across from me, they think they're hot shit, they think they can handle the champion, and they're wrong. So if you feel like you're the guy that's got what it takes to bring me down... you're wrong. There's not a single person on Proving Ground right now that's better than I am. And I'm proving it every. Single. Week." Titania "Enough dancing around it. SATOMI, I've waited LONG ENOUGH. I've more than shown that there's nobody else around here that's got what it takes... that Inspire Championship should be mine, and I'll damn well come away with it... because I'm challenging you, face-to-face, as soon as possible. I'm through waiting my turn... it's time I took what's mine."

So before I find myself out of town and focusing on other stuff besides Fire Pro for a few days (though let's face it, I'll probably still be screwing around with it while I'm away), I've got a card set for Showdown next Monday. Eri Sentarl and Rilantha De Nav vs. Haruka Matsura and Selisha
Anahera vs. Angel Leblanc
Yuki Maeda vs. Cassandra Marshall
Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas vs. Pure Gold
Blake Dynamite vs. Rachel White
Kaelara Sentarl vs. Fenix Oscuro
Sophia Moretti vs. Telan Kintelas vs. Listalva Anne Heyward for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Firehawk Sentarl and Shiana Sentarl vs. The Black Dragon and Urani WhitemistShowdown kicks off this week with yet another faceoff between Eri Sentarl and the Malevolent Triad... but this time, standing at her side is former Tag Team Champion and trusted partner to her father, Rilantha De Nav. It seems that Firehawk has indeed taken notice of his daughter's struggles with Oscuro's group, and has asked his longtime friend to do what she can to help against Oscuro's allies... but will it be enough? The Rising Storm continues to anticipate the incoming challengers for their tag team titles: but Les Beautes Blondes aren't done with them yet. Angel Leblanc has declared not only that she'll bring down Anahera personally, but that she intends to leave the Pacific Northwest division behind... and has her sights set on challenging for the World Championship going forward! But the Maori Warrior is certain to bring Angel's aspirations back down to earth if she has any say... Yuki Maeda remains one of the most dangerous and devastating members of the Showdown roster. Despite falling short in challenging for the Pacific Northwest Championship recently, Yuki has continued to pose a serious threat to anyone she steps into the ring with... but she has yet to meet Cassandra Marshall. The raw power of the young Texan could be more than a match for the Japanese veteran... and Cassandra may be looking to raise her stock considerably with a win here. Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas have only met in the same ring once, on opposite sides... but they now share more in common than a country of origin, both losing matches to the members of Pure Gold last week. Now the two Greeks will once again square off with the once-dominant team from Proving Ground... looking to regain their former glory at the hands of Alex and Markos. Blake Dynamite took a shocking defeat last week, losing the Pacific Northwest Championship to the Italian Monster, Sophia Moretti... and now, begins the slow climb back up the rankings. Blake could start that climb here... or he may decide that it's time to rise up again. But this match could very well decide what Blake wants to do with himself... Rachel has continued to struggle for weeks, now, and could be as desperate as ever to pick up a much-needed win. Kaelara Sentarl is nothing if not loyal to her family. She'll endure attacks on herself all day... she's certainly dealt with it plenty in the past. But the moment her sister, or her mother, or anyone else she cares about gets caught in the crossfire, look out... and Oscuro has, once again, turned Kaelara's attention onto herself. Having beaten Shiana Sentarl one-on-one and taking part in beating down the Sentarl women in the locker room, Oscuro seems as psychotic and ruthless as ever... does Kae have what it takes to stop her this time? With Sophia and Telan having met so recently, an executive decision was reached... and the Pacific Northwest Championship will be contested in a three-way match for the first time. Listalva Anne Heyward gets her shot a little bit earlier than expected, and Queen Anne will seek to dethrone the new champion in her first defense... but Telan Kintelas will almost certainly be out for blood himself, having been anticipating this match, this opportunity, for weeks now... It's not yet time for the World Championship to be defended... but the champion and the challenger will meet in tag action, with both allowed to choose their partners. This means, of course, that the Black Dragon has chosen the only partner that makes any sense: the Titan, her proper partner, Urani Whitemist. But Firehawk seems to have made his decision as well... though, so far, has stayed quiet on the matter. Still... given his options, it does seem that there's only a few people it could logically be... will they be enough to keep Firehawk's momentum going ahead of his championship match with the Dragon? The Black Dragon "Of course I'm not going to have them talking up some 'mystery partner' for me. There's only one person on the roster right now that I trust to have my back at any moment. This is Phoenix Rising... and I am going to call in the partner that's seen me through hell and back, as a partner, as an opponent, as one of the only friends I have. There was never any doubt that I'd pick Urani as a partner... because I would pick her every. Single. Time.
Don't take that as an indictment of Drakaina... Double Dragon is a team that won't die off. Yet. But the SFG... nothing... nothing will ever break what we've got." Telan Kintelas "So here we are, finally getting the shot... and Blake, that little bastard, blew it right at the end and denied me ANOTHER rematch. Running away from me by losing to Sophia. Forcing this to happen. Now I've got to deal with the Italian bitch... and this so-called 'Queen Anne'. Both of you think you're real hot shit, rising up the way you have... but you're gonna learn real damn quick that this title is MINE, and mine alone. And it's about damn time I took it home." Listalva Anne Heyward "One show earlier than I figured I might get my shot... you had damn well better believe that I ain't gonna blow this chance. Doesn't matter how many people ya' throw in that ring... I'll outlast every last one of 'em. Just remember my history, love... remember who the first-ever Inspire Champion was, remember how hard I fought to defend that title, remember how many people I had to fight through to win it! I'll do the same thing to Telan and Sophia, I'll come away with the Pacific Northwest Championship, and I'll remind the entire world that I don't just call myself Queen Anne for show... I'm one of the best there is, and you're gonna remember it."

A special event ahead of Showdown #40 saw a couple of interactions involving the main matches of the event: Eri, Ril, Kaelara and the Malevolent Triad: While Kaelara might be the one facing Fenix Oscuro on Monday, it was Eri that was face-to-face with her old rival, though her attention remained divided, knowing she had to face down Haruka and Selisha. Eri was the first one that had a chance to speak:
"You know, it might be a cliche, at this point... but I'm gonna tell you right now, Oscuro, we could be doing this forever. You and I might never change... that we'll always be looking over our shoulders, wondering what the next attack is gonna be, where this fight takes us next. And this is just another step... you basically declared war. And I'm here to make sure that you don't win that war. I refuse to back down, I refuse to let you bring me down, I refuse to let you have your way. We'll beat Haruka and Selisha. Kae will beat you. And you'll walk away on Monday wondering what it's gonna take, so I'll tell you right now: it's gonna take more than you've got."
Oscuro responded quickly... with her usual ferocity.
"All this bravado out of you, time and time again. You're nothing. And I don't care who you get to stand at your side... you'll ultimately fall, in the end. You, and the rest of your family, will learn the cost of your sins, Eri. Your past has caught up, and you're not the only one that will pay for them... not anymore."
"You talk a big game, Oscuro." Ril stepped forward next... quickly drawing all eyes onto her. "But here's the difference between the last few meetings and now. You have... no... idea... what you're stepping into." Ril continued to move forward, but didn't focus on Oscuro... her attention remaining firmly on the pair that'd be the opponents at the show, Haruka and Selisha. "There is a reason I was chosen here. And you'll find out that you're in over your heads. I don't do cocky. I don't say anything I can't back up. And the both of you will learn exactly what it means to step into the ring with a veteran. None of you know what's in store. Not this time." Pacific Northwest Championship Match "Lemme come right out and say this... neither of you ladies got a chance of walkin' out with that title." Telan gets the first chance to speak... not that he really gave anyone else a chance to before seizing the mic, clearly determined to say his piece first. Sophia and Listalva both seemed... almost bemused, perhaps neither in a rush themselves. "I mean... it all comes down to this: look at me, compared to anyone else around here. It's a damn travesty that I'm not already a champion... so I'm taking that one, guaranteed. Got it?" He tossed the mic down with a smirk... and Listalva got to her feet, scooping it back up as she got right up into Telan's face.
"And I'm gonna try and get somethin' right through your thick skull, big guy... I've been fightin' to get this far from day one. I've been lookin' to win a title around here since I arrived. And right now I'm thinkin' I'd be real damn happy to screw you over. Trust me... you've got no idea what's gonna happen out in that ring. But I'll beat you, and I'll beat Ice Queen over there... and walk away with the Pacific Northwest Championship myself. Queen Anne takes her throne again... end of story."
"Cute." Sophia slowly rose to her feet, the Pacific Northwest Championship resting on the Italian's shoulder... from where she was standing, it almost felt like she was looking down on the two challengers. "I am not threatened by either of you. An upstart young woman that's going to learn her place soon enough... and a brainless oaf that doesn't know what technique is. Listalva... I will put you down, as you deserve... and Telan... I will put you to sleep. This title only just came to its proper home... and I will not let either of you take it from me." Main Event Dragon stood up alongside Urani, the Titan silent as she found herself looking down at Firehawk... who, so far, still stood alone. "I'm sick of waiting. I'm not going into this match blind. You didn't pick Ril, your other options are people you hate or people that are hurt. What the hell are you planning?" Dragon stepped forward... and Firehawk took a step forward to meet her, snatching the mic from her hand, a surprisingly harsh motion that seemed to take the World Champion aback.
"You should've known from the start. You know me better than that. You know damn well what my options are... but somehow you didn't consider the clearest option? There's only one person you know as well as you know me." He turned... and Shiana Sentarl made her way into the room, leaving Dragon staring between the two in shock. "It's about time this whole 'reign of terror' came to an end."
"And you think... no, don't even get me started." Dragon waved the two off... but then, Shiana spoke up.
"How many times did we face each other over the years? Who else would know how to beat you than I would? Not even Firehawk knows as much about you as I do... that's why I'm here. That's why I'm going to be the one that stands by his side. That's why, no matter what happens here... between you and him... before I even think about retirement, I will hold the Phoenix Rising World Championship. No matter who I have to go through to do that." Shiana stepped forward... and although Dragon didn't back away, she did lean back slightly, surprised at the fire the veteran showed. "But first I'll prove that I'm more than capable of holding my own. Against you. Against Urani. We'll win this tag match, Dragon... and no matter who walks out of your title match with the World Championship, I'll be ready. No matter what I've got to do to earn my shot." With the final words of the conference hanging in the air, the card for Monday has been updated to reveal who Firehawk's partner will be in the main event... and Phoenix Rising could be shaken to its core, given the current situation. Is the era of the Black Dragon coming to an end?

Tonight was just what you might expect... a lot of just plain chaos. Good times. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/472922128Youtube: youtu.be/opcD1DjSA_UQuick Results Eri Sentarl and Rilantha De Nav def. Haruka Matsura and Selisha Anahera def. Angel Leblanc Cassandra Marshall def. Yuki Maeda Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas def. Pure Gold Blake Dynamite def. Rachel White Fenix Oscuro def. Kaelara Sentarl Listalva Anne Heyward def. Telan Kintelas and Sophia Moretti to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Firehawk and Shiana Sentarl def. Urani Whitemist and the Black Dragon Write-ups With the backing of a former tag team champion, Eri Sentarl seemed to have new life in this one... she was dynamic in this one, as much as we've ever seen, and eventually took this one with a Phoenix Splash, quickly becoming one of her most devastating moves. With both sides keeping their partners at ringside, this match seemed to rekindle the old rivalry between the Rising Storm and the Blondes... but Anahera brought her usual fire to this match, and although Angel looked strong, using her legwork to great effect, Anahera was able to overpower her and pick up the big win. Undaunted by the veteran status of her opponent tonight, Cassandra Marshall showed exactly why she's one of the fastest-rising stars in Phoenix Rising... absolutely overpowering Yuki Maeda and landing a Stampede... much like her superstar of a brother. A huge win for the young upstart... Cassandra could have her sights set on challenging for the Pacific Northwest Championship again soon. For a first-time team, Alex and Markos seemed to work quite well together... at least, until Markos landed a crushing Triple Fisherman that left Mallory Spaulding sprawled out on the mat. She's been checked by doctors, and her current status leaves her shaken up... and as a precaution, she'll be sitting out for a little while, leaving Kanjirin to fly solo for a time. For all her efforts, Rachel White again came up short. Blake, fresh off of losing the Pacific Northwest Championship to Sophia Moretti, came roaring back here with a big win... despite a sharp kick busting him open, he landed a quick Split-leg Moonsault to pick up the victory. Oscuro, perhaps frustrated with the defeat of her teammates earlier in the night, took the fight to Kaelara... who didn't go quietly. Kae broke out nearly everything in her arsenal, but couldn't keep Oscuro down... and a snap powerbomb seemed to take the fight out of her, giving Oscuro the win and salvaging the night for the Triad. Sophia wasn't able to back up her threats... a huge chokeslam from Telan took the reigning champion out of the match first, and left the challengers to fight for the title themselves. But Queen Anne, as we've seen so often, is best when her back's to the wall... and after landing a huge Shooting Star Press, we have our new Pacific Northwest Champion. The Queen once again takes her throne. Firehawk had faith in his wife as the best partner he could choose for this match... and his faith was well-placed. Despite the dangerous powerhouse threat that Dragon and Urani posed, the Sentarls kept up the fight throughout the entire match, and a new-look Shiana didn't hesitate to show that she was far from the woman sliding past her prime... indeed, tonight she looked every bit the threat she's ever been, culminating in a piledriver to the Titan, snapping her up in a Magistral Cradle, and scoring the most shocking 3-count of the night. Firehawk is riding a wave of momentum going into his upcoming World Championship match with the Dragon... but that's going to take everything he's got, and with Dragon seeking to defend her title... does he have what it takes to overcome her? Listalva Anne Heyward "Y'know, I always say it, but people are still surprised when it happens. I don't say these things idly... when I say I'm gonna come out the winner, I damn well mean it. The Queen takes her throne once again... Queen Anne's got gold around her waist one more time, and ya' better believe that I'm not gonna let go of it anytime soon. Besos is the next one in line... and I'm ready for ya'. Just be ready for the toughest match you've faced in a long time." The Black Dragon The locker room is... frankly, a mess. Dragon's clearly been on something of a rampage. "How many times do I have to go through this? You just keep coming back to haunt me, no matter how many years go by! Shiana Sentarl... whether she's under a mask, whether she's just herself, no matter what stage of her career, she's ALWAYS standing in my way. So let me make one thing perfectly clear to you... once I beat Firehawk down, you're next. I'm coming for you. And I'll finally put this thing to rest, once and for all." Shiana Sentarl "Yes, I've heard about what Dragon said. She wants to face me again, then I'm willing to take the challenge. I already told you... I'm preparing to take my shot at the top, and I don't care who's there when I do. And if that means that Dragon's still champion when this happens... then I'll face her, and take the title from her. I'm done being seen as the woman past her prime, the veteran that 'can't do it anymore'. I'll show the world that I've still got what it takes. I proved it tonight, and I'll keep proving it for as long as it takes."

Evergreen's coming up fast (This Thursday, in fact). Kevin Royce vs. X-Kira (from PEWA)
Concrete Pete vs. Strawberry Sookie
Elly Blackwood vs. Julian Shepard
El Evergringo vs. Vincent Sheridan
Eternamente Verde vs. Veronika Armstrong
Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito vs. The Bingo Hall Mutants for the Evergreen Tag Team Championships
Kantar vs. King Bemba (For a contendership for the Multiverse Championship)
So here we come to a weird crossroads of sorts. PWR runs Wednesday night and has the Multiverse Championship on the line... so it could be that the title winds up here, rather than the main event. We will see, of course... if Bemba retains, of course, then Kevin Royce will face PEWA guest X-Kira. Otherwise... well, we'll find out what's going on Thursday night, won't we?
An update: A new plan's come up, and thus Kevin Royce will be facing X-Kira, regardless. This could be a contendership match for the Multiverse Championship, or it could simply be a match... we won't know until Wednesday night.
Concrete Pete made an absolutely thunderous debut last episode, wiping out Eddy Introspect... and Strawberry Sookie, no doubt, isn't happy about it. (Not to mention Penelope Lea also going down later in the show!) Still, given how utterly dominant Pete was looking even before destroying Eddy... does Sookie have what it takes to bring the big man down?
Elly Blackwood continues her path through the Evergreen roster as she takes on a former champion in Julian Shepard. Still, it seems that Elly's simply building herself up for one of two opponents: Evergreen Champion Eternamente Verde, and the nigh-unstoppable force that is Kantar. Julian may very well be nothing more than an afterthought for the Invincible One...
El Evergringo is looking to keep his momentum hot after taking down Kantar last episode. The most shocking upset perhaps in Evergreen's history, he'll be looking to knock Vincent Sheridan down a peg... a much less daunting task than Kantar, but he can't get complacent...
Eternamente Verde continues to defend the Evergreen Championship in impressive fashion. But she now takes on the first champion, Veronika Armstrong... who's clearly looking to get back to the top by beating Verde. Still, the resident luchadora has looked utterly unbeatable lately, and Veronika could face stiffer competition than she's anticipating...
The last time these two teams met, it was en route to the Mutants dominating the tag team tournament and claiming the Evergreen Tag Team Championships... which they have held ever since. But Rebecca and Sayaka are riding a wave of momentum right now... could this be the night that someone finally steps up and claims the titles from a seemingly unbeatable duo?
Finally, capping off the night: no matter what's going on, no matter whether the Multiverse Championship is at stake or not, Kantar has challenged King Bemba to a match... and of course, this will be held under Evergreen's own rules. Bemba, no doubt, will revel in the lack of rules... but Kantar is far, far more dangerous here in Evergreen than he is anywhere else in the world. This will be a true test of wills: the immensely resilient Bemba, the wrecking ball that is Kantar... an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. Prepare for all hell to break loose.

Evergreen did what Evergreen always does: fast, action-packed show that just didn't let up for a second. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/474291985Youtube: youtu.be/sHDSDQlL3mQQuick Results X-Kira def. Kevin Royce and Skidmark (?!) Strawberry Sookie def. Concrete Pete Elly Blackwood def. Julian Shepard Vincent Sheridan def. El Evergringo Eternamente Verde def. Veronika Armstrong The Bingo Hall Mutants def. Rebecca Andrews and Sayaka Saito Kantar def. King Bemba Write-ups With Kevin and X-Kira already in the ring ready to go, a third man suddenly arrived in the ring to join them... and this match suddenly became an unannounced 3-way! Skidmark, as we later learned his name, may have been the first man eliminated en route to an X-Kira victory, nonetheless made an impact on his first night... as we've found out that at some point, Mercy Devine signed this man to a contract, and may very well have told him to involve himself in this match herself! Revenge is sweet... can't doubt that. Sookie clearly was on the warpath after Concrete Pete injured Eddy Introspect last episode, and she eventually overcame the size difference between them to pick up maybe one of the more impressive wins of the night, and avenged Eddy in dominant fashion. Julian Shepard finally showed some glimmers of the man that won the Evergreen Championship... but Elly was just too much in the end, and finally came roaring back to finish things off after pushing through everything Julian had to throw at her. Tough match, but Elly continues to crush everyone in her way. Fresh off his biggest win ever, El Evergringo seemed primed to take down Vincent Sheridan and keep himself near the top... but Vincent clearly had other ideas. A Superstar Elbow sent Vincent crashing down hard on Evergringo, and it's not clear what the injury suffered was... only that he'll be out of action for a little while. Who can stop the Evergreen Champion? Certainly not Veronika tonight, despite pushing through four huge cutters... but not the fifth. Verde was relentless tonight, as befitting a champion, and left Veronika beaten and bloody by the end of the match. Rebecca and Sayaka didn't fare any better. The Mutants did what they always seem to do... and wiped the floor with their challengers, although they lasted longer than most seem to against the champs. Who can possibly dethrone the Bingo Hall Mutants now? King Bemba hasn't seen his week go the way he'd intended. He became the Pan-African Champion, only for Renate Barlowe to demand a legitimate rematch. He lost the PWR Multiverse Championship just one night before his clash with Evergreen's Unstoppable Force... and Kantar, perhaps sensing that there was some level of weakness in the King, seized his opportunity. A massive brawl on the outside seemed to be the turning point... and Kantar exploded into a frenzy of offense the moment they were back in the ring, culminating in the crushing Triple Powerbomb that's laid low so many others. Kantar stands tall... the demon conquers once again... and he had a lot to say about it, for once. Vincent Sheridan Even the mere sight of Vincent, now, is met with a shower of boos... to which Vincent merely smirks. He holds out his arms... looks around at the crowd. "You hear that? Course you hear that, this place is loud as hell whenever they spot me. After tonight... it's only gotten louder. People hate my guts, and you know why? Because I'm showing you exactly what I meant from day one. That I am the best around here. That I'm better than anyone, and everyone, that steps into that ring, that I am the greatest talent that's ever gonna step through these ropes, that I am better that some idiot in a mask that thinks he's hot shit because he took down the resident big guy. Well, now look at your hero... your 'fan favorite'. I took him out of action. And if Evergringo knows what's good for him, he'll stay the hell away. You wanna argue it... you're welcome to come right the hell at me." Kantar "Every single day leading up to this match, I hear how much of a force King Bemba is. Every time I turn around I hear that Bemba's this unstoppable African nightmare, that not even I'm gonna be able to handle it. You wanna know what I told them? Not a goddamn word. Because I don't need to say anything. I let my actions out in that ring speak for themselves, and after tonight, I don't want to hear any doubts, I don't want to hear a single person that thinks that the flavor of the month has what it takes to beat me. I'm the single most dominant force in Evergreen's HISTORY. There has NEVER been anyone like me, there never will be again. Past, present, future... here in Evergreen I am as close to UNTOUCHABLE as it gets. Half the fucking PEWA roster's learned that by now. Evergreen itself has learned that. And now, King Bemba's learned it. Now as I understand, because of what happened last night, this wasn't for the Multiverse Championship... just to become a contender, instead. So let me tell you what that means for the future.
I don't give a shit who holds that title when my time rolls around. If it's one of the other people still in line ready to roll, I'll crush you with everything I've got and take that title from your hands. And if it's that cocky asshole Evermore, keep this in mind: I get a hold of you and I'll break you in half. I don't give a damn who you think you are, I don't give a shit who's put in front of me. If you've got something I want... there's not a force in the world that can stop me from taking it. All it takes is one... two... three powerbombs and you. Are. Out."

Boy it's kinda like I'm scrambling to do a card for Monday realizing I should've done this ahead of time when I wrote up Evergreen I AM GOOD AT THIS AND HIGHLY INTELLIGENT I PROMISE no i'm not don't listen to meLa Relampaga vs. Felice Santana vs. Layla Al-Amin vs. Golden Tigress vs. Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Reina del Tigre
Akira Ryusaki vs. Kellaron Sentarl
Donna Nobel vs. Candace Monroe
Adrenaline Rush vs. Winter Fresh
Nicole Blade vs. Ruthless Nicole Alger
Argent vs. Hugo Dirksen vs. Victor Kintelas vs. Silver Hawk vs. Avery Adonis Alexander vs. Gary Gear vs. Kyle Anderson vs. Rey de la Carne to become #1 Contender for the Top Prospect Championship
Todd Colton vs. Golden Tiger
SATOMI vs. Titania for the Inspire ChampionshipAs you can tell... episode 41 is going to be a doozy. We kick things off with a wild, high-flying 4-way contest: Layla Al-Amin, fresh off returning from the Pan-African Tour (and damn near concussing Senator Steve Phillips, whoops) squares off with three other incredible high-flyers in the women's division. Felice Santana, Golden Tigress, and the Lightning Luchadora, La Relampaga... one of these four will come out ahead at the end of the night, and perhaps line up an eventual shot at the Inspire Championship.
Added late to this match: equally talented in agility to the other four, we have Reina del Tigre, who's been making quite the name for herself as of late, and will find herself in the ring with her Golden Ambush teammate for the first time... will we see teamwork from the two tigers, or an everyone-for-themselves attitude? And finally... Anari Lynn Heyward, not to be left out, has been added to the opener as well, despite not fitting into the mix at all. Still... it's tough to leave her out of the card entirely, and she could very well prove to be the one that comes out on top at the end of the night...
Akira Ryusaki continues to make a name for himself here on Proving Ground, but now he faces a test that could be one of the toughest ones yet. Kellaron Sentarl seeks to bring down the surging Akira, but there's no telling whether he's got what it takes to slow down the elder Ryusaki sibling.
Ahead of their challenge for the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships, the Limbtakers and the Excellent Blades will meet one-on-one: this week, Donna Nobel takes on Candace Monroe, and it can't be doubted that the young Australian has become one of Proving Ground's mainstays over the past year. Still, Donna is not to be taken lightly...
Adrenaline Rush has seen their share of struggle. But this week, they square off with Winter Fresh once again, a team that they've already beaten once before. Rin and Fresh will be looking to avenge that defeat, but Nitro and Thunder could very well prove that they're simply more than a match for Winter Fresh...
Nicole vs. Nicole, here we go again. Blade vs. Alger, the second half of the Blades vs. Limbtakers showdown this week, as the tag team championships are set to be defended at Proving Ground #43 (the last show of September... for good reason, as we'll soon find out.) The powerhouse that is Nicole Blade will be looking to stuff the dangerous submission offense that RNA's packing.
Eight men step into the ring, vying for a chance to be the next one to face off with Todd Colton, a challenge that's set to be made at Proving Ground #43. These eight all have a chance at glory: many of them attempting to avenge prior defeats, many trying to achieve a level of glory that they've yet to find here in Phoenix Rising. But only one of these men can stand tall at the end of the night.
Todd himself, meanwhile, will face off with the Golden Tiger... an opponent Todd's already dismissed as "not being a threat to his reign". Tiger, meanwhile, seems set to prove him wrong... and a win here would set up a 3-way match at Proving Ground #43 for the Top Prospect Championship, putting Todd Colton's reign in great peril.
Finally, Titania has the match she's been seeking all this time. The Inspire Championship is on the line: yet regardless of who comes out the winner here, another defense is waiting in the wings. SATOMI seeks to continue her dominant run and bring down the Blue Bomber, but Titania has been chomping at the bit to get her shot at this title since she arrived... and now, it could just be a matter of time before SATOMI falls.

Felice Felice Santana: So, I was excited that I had a match again, and against three of the fastest, because I want to prove that as fast as they are, I'm faster! But now it's six! And they're not all fast! So I'm not just going to have to be ready for fast, but for tough and strong, too! But that's ok, because even if my odds are worse now, they're worse for everyone, and if they're worse for everyone, that means that they're all going to look past me before I soar ahead and take the win before anyone can blink!
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: Feels great to be a champ. That's something I can't deny. Me and Candace celebrated hard enough to get ourselves banned from a few clubs, and we will be ready to defend. But first, Nicole Blade. You and me, we have unfinished business. Back when I lost my head and cranked your arm after the match, that wasn't cool. I get it, you still hate my guts. But you know what, I'm ok with that. Go ahead, take your best shot. I'll be ready for it, and if you're motivated, it means I have to be motivated, too. So some get some. I'll take whatever you can throw at me.
Muscle Machines Adonis Avery Alexander: So don't get in my way, because as far as I'm concerned, this is my shot.
Gary Gear: Don't get in your way? Don't get in your way? You better not get in my way!
AAA: Pff, all I have to do is survive for five minutes, and there's no way I'm getting in your way. This sort of match favors someone who actually does cardio. You know, those exercises you wouldn't do with a gun to your head.
Gear: You run all you want, but when I catch you, you're going through the mat! Because unlike you, I'm maxed out on power!
AAA: All you have are big useless bulky muscles. I'm a perfectly proportioned pinnacle of peak human performance. You, you're just a retrograde neanderthal, a gorilla, a brute.
Gear: I'll gorilla smash you right through the ring and there's nothing you can do about it!
AAA: Good luck with that when they're hooking you up to the oxygen tank and I'm about to defeat the last opponent in the match. Which isn't going to be you.
Gear: Good luck when your spine gets smashed into powder! I'll mix that in with my creatine and put it in a shake!
AAA: Disgusting, utterly nauseating. Just like looking over at your sub-human build.
Gear: Why don't you go get off looking into the mirror again!
AAA: Why don't you go explode your heart with more steroids?
Both Gear and Alexander lunge at each other, but the only thing that happens is a brief, violent clash of heads. The two stumble back to opposite sides of their locker room, leaning up against their lockers and holding their heads.
AAA: You nincompoop, you are damn lucky I am not cut open on your thick skull.
Gear: Man, your afro didn't cushion that at all. Still hurts...
AAA: Look, we have not gotten along at all as of late. But let's just use this match, let off some steam, and after this, maybe we should see if we can't make this team work a little better.
Gear: Hey, I'm still looking forward to putting you through the mat! But once I do that, we're cool! Fear Gary Gear!
AAA: Absurdities. Once I land the More Muscular or the Pinnacle Dropkick, I will prove for once and for all that I am the most deserving individual in all of Proving Ground for this title opportunity...

Todd Colton "So here we are, just a few hours away from showtime... lemme make one thing real clear. I'm not worried about whoever wins that battle royal tonight. I'm not worried about that no-name Golden Tiger. And I'm sure as hell not worried about the possibility that any of you is gonna take this Top Prospect title from me. Fact is, I've been the best of the best on Proving Ground from day one, and no one's stepped up to prove otherwise... and they're never gonna get that chance. Just you watch... I'll close out this month still the Top Prospect, and soon... you're all gonna find out that Proving Ground isn't the only place that can't handle the best in the world." Victor Kintelas "So of course Todd's making himself out to be this dominant, unstoppable champion... here's the thing, you've proven quite a bit since winning the title from me. But I also haven't gotten a shot at reclaiming that title from you, just yet. That's gonna change after tonight... I'll win this battle royal and remind you exactly what you're getting yourself into. By the end of September you're gonna be right back where you started, with nothing to show for it... and hell, maybe you can finally get lost and run off to be with Natasha after all this time. Fact is... I'm gonna cut through the field, come after you, take that title back, and celebrate the best possible way. And you can take that statement however you like." SATOMI <It feels that this match was... destiny, of some sort. Titania and I were bound to meet, one day... with this prize on the line. The Inspire Championship, the title I claimed so quickly after joining Proving Ground... the prize Titania has had her eyes on since she arrived. I have known defeat here... I've stumbled, I've been beaten. But where this title is concerned, I have proved without any doubts that I am the best that this division has to offer. I am the champion, not because I took advantage, or got lucky. I stepped into the ring with four other women that night, and I defeated every... single... one. You were among that group, Titania, so what do you think will change when we face each other with no interference, no one else to stand in our way? You will not come away with this title... it belongs to me, now, and until someone proves that they are capable of beating the best of the best... it will stay that way.
And to all who think they can claim that name themselves... claiming they're the best that Proving Ground has to offer... you're wrong. Until the day I leave this place behind... you'll never... never be able to make that claim. And that goes even for the reigning Top Prospect... I'll silence you, some day, Todd Colton. Your time is coming.>

Tonight was maybe one of the better shows I've had the pleasure of running. Some really, really damn fine matches tonight. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/476156636Youtube: youtu.be/Is9mRlsJYC0Quick Results Reina Del Tigre won the 6-woman battle royal Akira Ryusaki def. Kellaron Sentarl Candace Monroe def. Donna Nobel Adrenaline Rush def. Winter Fresh Nicole Blade def. Ruthless Nicole Alger Silver Hawk won the battle royal to become #1 contender for the Top Prospect Championship Golden Tiger def. Todd Colton SATOMI def. Titania to retain the Inspire Championship Write-ups A bit of a surprise in this one: while this was every bit as fast-paced and hectic as anticipated (complete with Anari Lynn Heyward proving unable to match the pace and being eliminated first), it was the late addition of Reina Del Tigre that stood tall at the end, scoring a surprising win over the field after a very, very impressive performance. Akira Ryusaki continues what seems to be an absolutely meteoric rise through the ranks of Proving Ground, taking down a former tag team champion in Kellaron, and simply continuing to look like he's destined for the top spot sooner rather than later... Candace absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment tonight... stunning the crowd and Donna alike, before landing a crushing Stunner that scored the young Australian the victory. Candace just keeps getting better and better... A marathon of a match that finally ended with Adrenaline Rush taking home another win, Tommy Thunder locking Rin in a cross armbreaker to finish this match that seemed like it'd go on well past the point it did otherwise. Nicole Blade, despite any apologies and attempts to smooth over the past, clearly still holds a grudge towards RNA for their previous meeting... and she damn well showed it here, barely letting Alger get out of first gear as she utterly overpowered her opponent en route to a vicious Full Nelson that surprisingly made RNA submit... it's unclear whether Alger gave in or not, but the referee clearly made a decision here. This was pure, absolute chaos from the bell, and it took a while for any sense of order to show up... really, not until the field cleared a bit. Shockingly, the first elimination was none other than Avery Alexander... at the hands of his own tag partner in Gary Gear. That in itself isn't a shock, of course... knowing the relationship between the Muscle Machines. What is shocking is that Gear was an absolute monster throughout this match, making it to the final three before being taken down by Silver Hawk, who'd eventually go on to pick up the win, and a date with the Top Prospect Championship in four weeks against Todd Colton... can Silver Hawk finally make it back to the top of the mountain? Could this be a star-making moment for Golden Tiger? Could it lead to him breaking out as the Golden Ambush's singles star? We have no idea, but a huge win for the Tiger here over Todd Colton could potentially give him a shot at the Top Prospect Championship alongside Silver Hawk... though, a decision on that front has yet to be made. The pure dominance by the Inspire Champion just continues. SATOMI weathered an early assault by Titania and began to fire back... and closed out this title defense with a pair of vicious drivers that sealed the victory and kept SATOMI on top. In four weeks, she'll defend her title once again... but who will be her challenger? With tonight's write-ups out of the way, there's an announcement to be made: I've alluded to something big coming in October, and tonight, I announce that Phoenix Rising will be presenting The Grand Ascension. This will be a 16-wrestler, 2-block league, basically set up like the G-1... taking place throughout the course of October, over eight nights of action. This will be replacing most of the usual shows, as a result: Showdown and Proving Ground will be on hiatus while this occurs, Evergreen likely will be as well (I'm playing that by ear right now)... and the Blackwood Academy will run as normal, since it shouldn't need to worry about anything. Participants are broken down within the blocks like so: Four members of the Phoenix Rising World Championship division, and one each from the Pacific Northwest division, Proving Ground, Evergreen and an outsider who's never been with Phoenix Rising before. Block A ParticipantsFirehawk Sentarl Shiana Sentarl Urani Whitemist Angel Leblanc Blake Dynamite Layla Al-Amin Kantar Chico Con Carne Block B ParticipantsThe Black Dragon Lance Marshall Kileas Kintelas Anahera Laenara Kintelas Todd Colton Mercy Devine Rumika Hashi You can find the brackets for the Grand Ascension here -> challonge.com/y6cw79uuAnd you read that right: this will see the long-awaited return of Laenara Kintelas to the ring. Welcome back, Hardcore Princess. We've missed you. Showdown #41 coming up... and while it's mostly just waiting for the big moment, with Showdown #42 having all the big title matches, that doesn't make this one any less important... Kaelara Sentarl vs. Natasha Clover vs. Michelle Rochefort vs. Cassandra Marshall
Eri Sentarl vs. Selisha
Blake Dynamite vs. Lance Marshall
Silver and Black Attack (Kileas and Winifred) vs. Alexandria Kirison and Markos Andreas
Firehawk Sentarl vs. Tasharun Kanjirin Tonorian
Shiana Sentarl vs. Fenix Oscuro
The Black Dragon vs. Angel Leblanc
Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Besos for the Pacific Northwest Championship Kicking things off this week, a 4-way match with Pacific Northwest Championship implications. It'll be the #5 through #8 ranked wrestlers this time around, all vying for that coveted top 5 position... Kaelara Sentarl will be hoping to stay on top, while Cassandra Marshall seems prepared to gain big with a win here. Eri Sentarl has always had problems with Oscuro and those associated with her... but lately, Selisha appears to be the biggest problem facing the Little Phoenix. They've met on both of the last two shows in tag action, with Selisha forcing a rare submission from Eri in the first, and Eri striking back last week. Now the two will step into the ring with nothing else between them... and Eri looks determined to take the Naga Queen down, this time. Blake Dynamite hasn't yet officially entered the World Championship division, but he nevertheless is preparing to take on the other members of that division... both here tonight, and soon, in the Grand Ascension. Still, this one won't be easy: He's got to deal with the Texan powerhouse that is Lance Marshall, and that's never an easy test. Kileas Kintelas is back after a couple of months on the shelf... and it appears he's here to test the fledgling tag team of the two Greeks in Alexandria and Markos. With Winifred regaining her partner, this one may give us a glimpse at how capable these two are as a team... with Markos coming off of a huge win after wiping out Mallory Spaulding, the Greeks could be a serious threat. Firehawk Sentarl is not sitting idle this week as he gears up to face the Black Dragon for the World Championship. Indeed, he's setting his sights on maybe the only person just as feared as Dragon... the Demon, Tasharun. Tasharun, of course, will be looking to topple the #1 contender... potentially lining himself up for a future shot at the championship once again, as he's been left out of the Grand Ascension. What seems to perhaps be a last-minute conflict has led to a late replacement. Tasharun won't be appearing here on this show... and as a result, his spot against Firehawk will be taken by Kanjirin, currently without his tag team partner Mallory Spaulding, due to her minor injury at the hands of Markos Andreas last Showdown. Kanjirin, no doubt, will still be a formidable opponent for the #1 contender... but with Firehawk having been preparing for the Demon, he could be more than ready for the powerhouse of Pure Gold. Shiana Sentarl is officially sick of Fenix Oscuro tormenting her oldest daughter. She'll step into the ring across from Oscuro this week, seemingly to test whether Oscuro can handle her rumored move to the World Championship division... but knowing Shiana's protectiveness of her family, Oscuro could be coming into a fight she has no chance of winning. This matchup could be a disaster. Angel Leblanc continues to insist on being a part of the World Championship division... and as a result, she's gotten a match against the World Champion. Does Angel even stand a remote chance in this match? There's really only one way to find out... Our main event this week, once again, will be for the Pacific Northwest Championship. New champion Listalva Anne Heyward once again finds herself across the ring from Besos... the two having met somewhat recently. But this will be the first test of Listalva's reign... can she defeat Besos once again? Or will Queen Anne feel the love?

Pretty solid show tonight, up and down the card, as we prep for some really big stuff. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/479407465Youtube: youtu.be/rvNERo4mJ5cQuick Results Natasha Clover wins the 4-way battle royal Eri Sentarl def. Selisha Lance Marshall def. Blake Dynamite Kileas and Winifred def. Markos and Alex Firehawk Sentarl def. Kanjirin Tonorian Fenix Oscuro def. Shiana Sentarl The Black Dragon def. Angel Leblanc Besos def. Listalva Anne Heyward to become the NEW Pacific Northwest Champion Write-ups Natasha Clover might have her sights set on reclaiming the Pacific Northwest Championship... a truly dominant showing from a former champion as she swept this match, scoring the pinfall on all three of her opponents. Eri picks up another win over the Triad, and Selisha in particular, seemingly avenging the submission victory Selisha picked up on her a few weeks ago. Eri, however, might have some other issues to worry about... A truly valiant effort from Blake here in the face of a massive size difference. But Lance finally got the better of him, finishing things off with the familiar Cloverleaf. Still, both men look strong ahead of next month's Grand Ascension. The former tag champs returned to action here, and it doesn't look like Kileas has lost a step after his injury. A very, very strong performance... and it seems that the former champs want a chance to reclaim the titles that they never really lost. They'll get that chance in two weeks against the Rising Storm. With Tasharun unable to make the match this week, Kanjirin took his place and gave quite the fight to the #1 contender. In the end, though, a flurry of soccer kicks to the back and a Phoenix Dive dead-center of the ring gave Firehawk a big win, one that'll keep his momentum rolling into his World Championship match with the Dragon. There can be no doubt that Fenix Oscuro could be one of the biggest threats in Phoenix Rising, no matter who she's in the ring with. Undaunted by Shiana's reputation and seeming rebirth, she withstood everything the veteran could throw at her, and ultimately put her down with the Fenixplex, despite apparently being busted open late in the match. Oscuro had words after the show... While this match seemed a foregone conclusion right from the bell, Angel held in there longer than anyone expected... mostly due to the interference of Elise and Michelle at ringside. Emma Travers was forced to keep a close eye on the pair, which often seemed to hinder Angel as much as it helped her... but in the end, it was that devastating face-lock from the Dragon that left Angel unable to continue. The World Champion is ready for her challenger... Exceptional match from these two as usual... a rematch from a few weeks back, as well, where that match was for Pacific Northwest ranking. Besos, however, came in looking better than ever, and didn't let up on Queen Anne for a second, eventually lining up a big top-rope hurracanrana, then slipping out to the apron... and a springboard rana sealed the deal, giving BESOS the Pacific Northwest Championship! Fenix Oscuro "Eri Sentarl... what I want you to do, when you get home, when you settle in... is for you to watch this back. See the very moment that your mother gave in. The moment I drove her down on her neck and finished her. I want you to etch that image in your mind, because when we meet again, it'll be you in that very same position. I've proven, beyond any doubt, that I can fight anyone, everyone here on equal footing... no matter what their reputation is, no matter how many years of experience they might have. Two weeks ago I did the very same to your sister. A simple, quick powerbomb... and little Kaelara couldn't even muster the strength to stand when it was over. In two weeks, you and I will face each other again. This isn't a challenge... this is a fact. You have no choice. And once I've beaten you, once again, there will be no further doubt that you're no match for me. You never will be again. And once you realize this...
Your life will belong to me." Angel Leblanc "Incompetence, through and through! Our dear referee could not do her job correctly, and did not see the Dragon submitting as I held her tight! I should hold a victory over her, and instead because of the incompetence of Emma Travers, I have nothing to show for it! So I will make sure this does not happen again... as you are trained as a wrestler, Miss Travers, I demand you present yourself in two weeks, for a match. Find someone to take your place for your matches... You will face me in the ring, and apologize once I've defeated you! We will see if this Academy has taught you anything!"

Never have I realized just how badly Evergreen's been hit the last couple of shows until I went to book this week's show and ran into issues. Still... Ash Defiant vs. Zack Sheridan
Sayaka Saito vs. Luci
Rebecca Andrews vs. Elly Blackwood
Concrete Pete vs. Skidmark
Kantar vs. Vincent Sheridan
Veronika Armstrong vs. Kevin Royce
Eternamente Verde vs. Babe Ruthless We start the night with Ash Defiant stepping into the ring with one-half of the most annoying tag team around. Zack, of course, hasn't done anything particularly frustrating as of late... probably why he's gotten this match, rather than the one that his brother's gotten. Surprise, eMo's got a fourth member and she's arrived in Evergreen to give some support to the suddenly quite lonely Strawberry Sookie. With Eddy Introspect and Penelope Lea still out of action, Luci's arrived to fill the void... and she's got her sights locked in on Sayaka Saito, the woman responsible for Penelope's absence. Rebecca Andrews has one very, very tough test this week as she'll be the next one to step into the ring with Elly Blackwood, who's looked utterly unstoppable from the day she arrived in Evergreen. This one's going to be rough. Concrete Pete appears to have found himself someone to go after... with Skidmark's debut last episode, Pete's stepping out to make damn sure Evergreen knows who the real BIG MAN is. Still, we don't know much about Skidmark as of yet... This... is a match that may exist purely out of spite. Mercy Devine booked Vincent against Kantar specifically citing his injuring of El Evergringo last episode as the reason... it's also the reason that he won't be facing Verde in two weeks for the Evergreen Championship, an opportunity that is instead going to Strawberry Sookie. Veronika Armstrong appears to be rekindling her old feud with Kevin Royce... as if she didn't have enough to deal with against Mercy. Still, Veronika's looking to take the old veteran down a notch once again... while Kevin continues a solid run after returning to Evergreen, the fed he made famous. Ahead of Verde's match against Sookie, she'll take on Babe Ruthless in this week's main event... which, if Verde isn't careful, could stack the odds against her. She'll need to win this match to ensure a one-on-one title defense... but Babe is every bit a threat to the Evergreen Champion, and no doubt this'll be a hard-fought match. No tag work this week... there's just no way to work it out! It's a bit strange, but... well, this show's probably gonna go QUICK, as a result.
