Is it Evergreen time again already? Yes, yes it is. This Thursday at the usual time... Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura vs. eMo
Rebecca Andrews vs. Eddy Introspect
Sayaka Saito vs. El Evergringo
The Sheridan Brothers vs. The Bingo Hall Mutants
Mercy Devine vs. Veronika Armstrong
Kantar vs. Tomas (PEWA)
Eternamente Verde vs. Julian Shepard for the Evergreen ChampionshipOscuro and Haruka have taken the tag divisions of two different shows by storm. What once felt like a thrown-together pair has become perhaps one of the most frightening duos in all of Phoenix Rising and Evergreen alike... does the eMo pairing of Strawberry Sookie and Penelope Lea have any hope of being the ones to finally bring down this team from hell? Rebecca Andrews hasn't gotten much of a chance to show her stuff on her own, not since Sayaka Saito's arrival... but she'll step into the ring across from Eddy Introspect this week, intent on reminding the Evergreen crowds that she's very much capable of handling herself without backup (and perhaps may be better on her own...) Sayaka, meanwhile, will take on El Evergringo, who is fresh off of completely blowing an Evergreen Rules tag match against the Muscle Machines... he'd better hope that Verde isn't in a particularly foul mood after this show, or El Verde could be in for a very, very rough future. The Sheridan Brothers have been trying to get back on track for a while, now... this may not be the way to do it. The Bingo Hall Mutants shredded every bit of competition they've faced in Evergreen, with only a single mis-step as Skullface Killah was beaten by Kantar one-on-one. In tag action, however... they could very well be completely unstoppable. We've all been wondering if Mercy Devine would ever use her new position as Evergreen owner and operator to her advantage... and she finally seems to have indulged herself this week. Once again, she'll step into the ring across from her hated enemy, Veronika Armstrong... and this time, she seems beyond determined to strike a blow against the former champion and take the lead in their long-running feud. This is the match Kantar's been after from the start. Perhaps he's never said it, but it was clear after a while that Kantar wanted to go through the best of the best that PEWA had to offer... and it culminates here, against the PEWA Champion, the Tiny Giant, the light-tube swinging maniac... Kantar will finally get his match with Tomas, and this could be the night that he makes the biggest name for himself. Verde was left frustrated after a loss to the Muscle Machines on Proving Ground this past Monday... but none of that will matter on Thursday as she challenges Julian Shepard for the Evergreen Championship. She wiped the champion out last episode, and seems primed to repeat that feat... could we see a new champion once again this week? Or will Julian remember how he became champion in the first place? In addition, there will be an Academy house show posted on Saturday (card to be posted in the Academy thread soon), and Showdown next Monday will shake out like this... #10 Besos vs. #18 Rachel White
Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura vs. Pure Gold
#15 Kaelara Sentarl vs. #11 Mascara Avispa
#7 Kantar vs. #4 Telan Kintelas
#5 Yuki Maeda vs. #3 Blake Dynamite
Tasharun vs. Urani Whitemist vs. Rilantha De Nav for the #1 Contender spot for the Phoenix Rising World Championship
Natasha Clover vs. Michelle Rochefort for the Pacific Northwest Championship
Eri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward vs. Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright for the Phoenix Rising Tag Team ChampionshipsRachel White makes her return to the Showdown ring after some time away, time that she's spent honing her skills, intent on making this comeback and showing the world that she's not the joke that she's been made out to be for months. Against Besos, however, it won't be so easy to rise up... still, a win for Rachel here would mean more than reputation, as it'd rocket her up a full eight spots in the PNW rankings.
Just a few nights after taking on eMo at Evergreen, Oscuro and Haruka will step into the ring against one of the most intimidating teams in all of Phoenix Rising. Pure Gold's tenure on Showdown has been a shaky one, but Mallory and Kanjirin have had time to think about how to adjust to the new environment... and they're certain to make life very difficult for the Dark Phoenix and her ninja ally.
Kaelara Sentarl fell off hard after losing the Pacific Northwest Championship to Natasha Clover... but she's still looking to bounce back, and what better way than by taking on one of the best of the best? Mascara Avispa is no slouch in the ring... this match won't be easy, but Kaelara swears she's up to the challenge.
Also pulling a surprising double-duty this week, Kantar jumps back to Showdown after his match with Tomas to take on Telan Kintelas, fully intent on claiming a higher place in the rankings. But Telan didn't make his way to the top five by being a pushover... Kantar will absolutely need to tap into whatever's been fueling him at Evergreen.
Yuki Maeda has been nothing short of frightening. She's shown that her age and veteran status have only made her more dangerous, as shown by her last match that saw her utterly dominating Shiana Sentarl. Blake Dynamite will have his hands full against this powerhouse... but he's faced plenty of her type, and could easily come out ahead in the end.
The three biggest winners from last Showdown now turn their sights in on each other. All three have their eyes on a shot at the World Championship... the Black Dragon having the night off, she'll be watching this 3-way war intently to see who her next challenger will be, and there is no doubt that any of these three could be a threat to the Dragon's reign...
Michelle Rochefort was an absolute dynamo in the PNW ranking league, and found herself coming in at #2... and after the Phantom Thief's challenge failed, it's Michelle's turn to square off with Natasha. Les Beautes Blondes have yet to capture any gold in their time in Phoenix Rising... but this could be the moment that all changes.
Eri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward scored perhaps the upset of the year when they beat Kileas and Winifred last week in a non-title match. Now the fledgling team has a chance at glory: in just a few short weeks, Listalva's already primed for a shot at tag gold, and Eri has an opportunity to finally capture her first title, and finally step out from the shadow of being the only Sentarl to never hold a championship. But Kileas and Winifred will surely be prepared for this one... could the champions be stunned again, back-to-back?

Evergreen's wrapped, and might've been the best one so far for the hardcore fed. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/422789529Youtube: youtu.be/FnfvyH_eKqAQuick Results Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura def. eMo Eddy Introspect def. Rebecca Andrews Sayaka Saito def. El Evergringo The Bingo Hall Mutants def. The Sheridan Brothers Veronika Armstrong def. Mercy Devine Kantar def. Tomas Eternamente Verde def. Julian Shepard to become the NEW Evergreen Champion Write-ups A hot tag opener that once again showed just how dangerous Oscuro and Haruka really are as a team. Still undefeated across their appearances in Phoenix Rising and Evergreen alike, Oscuro had some words after the show... a threat for Monday. Eddy Introspect continues to surprise... and remind everyone that he's far from a joke around here. Rebecca gave this one her all, hitting the Go 2 Sleep no less than three times... but Eddy kicked out of each one and eventually put this one away, showing an incredible resiliency. Sayaka made the most of a rare singles appearance... and while the crowd certainly didn't seem to appreciate it, she seemed to tune out the frustration as she dispatched Evergringo, finally picking up a win for the first time in a good while. This match is one that everyone seemed to know the outcome from the opening bell... the Mutants were just too strong, too tough, and the Sheridans never got anything going against them. Is it even possible for these two monsters to drop the Evergreen tag titles? Veronika Armstrong has been waiting for this moment. Mercy wanted the match... but Veronika clearly wanted it just as badly, needing to fight through her struggles over the past couple of months since losing the Evergreen Championship. And Veronika came out swinging... while Mercy tried to keep her hated rival down, Veronika just wouldn't stop coming, and eventually folded the Evergreen owner in half with a massive Spear to pick up the win. Can anything stop Kantar? Evergreen has become his true home, it seems... while his success in Phoenix Rising has been limited, in Evergreen, he seems to be an unstoppable force of nature. An absolute war with Tomas, one that left the Psycho Demon bloodied and struggling to keep up for a time, eventually saw him turn the tide... evening the odds once Tomas ran out of steam. His second Triple Powerbomb of the match was the one that finished the job, and Kantar's undefeated streak continues... and his pure dominance over the PEWA, as well. The championship match had a hard act to follow... especially given Verde's pure dominance in their last meeting. But Julian showed up in a big way for this match... giving the challenger everything she could handle. But handle it she did... and as things spilled to the outside, the fork came out, and Julian was left a bloody mess... and still fought on. Neither gave an inch... chairshots rained down consistently for the latter half of the match, but finally, Verde would land an incredible Reincarnation, snapping Julian up, and scoring the biggest win of her young career... Eternamente Verde is the NEW Evergreen Champion! Fenix Oscuro <The time has nearly come... Monday, the entire tag division, of both Evergreen and of Phoenix Rising, will tremble in fear. You've seen what the two of us are capable of...
Now imagine that this is only the beginning... and prepare yourselves for a hell that you'll never escape.> Eternamente Verde <This is the moment I've been waiting for, from the day I arrived here... a championship, MY championship, the weight of it on my shoulder... it's everything I could've dreamed of. It's everything I've worked towards. I've finally made it to the place I belong... at the top.> Verde holds up the Evergreen Championship... even through her mask there's a pure sense of pride in the luchadora. And then... Evergringo comes into the room, and hesitates for a moment.
She gives a small nod to her tag partner... and Evergringo lifts Verde off her feet in a hug, one that she surprisingly returns to the young man. "Off you go! Interview over!" Verde laughs, coming back down on her feet after a few moments. "Celebrating to be done!"

We've got a clear path for next Showdown after tonight... a #1 contender for Black Dragon's World Championship, the future of the Pacific Northwest Championship... plenty to be seen here. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/424615477Youtube: youtu.be/XoCMNu-bt7AQuick Results Besos def. Rachel White Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura def. Pure Gold Mascara Avispa def. Kaelara Sentarl Kantar def. Telan Kintelas Yuki Maeda def. Blake Dynamite Urani Whitemist def. Tasharun and Rilantha De Nav to become the #1 contender for the World Championship Natasha Clover def. Michelle Rochefort to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright def. Eri Sentarl and Listalva Anne Heyward to retain the Phoenix Rising Tag Team Championship Write-ups Rachel White made her return to the ring after some time off, with a bit of a new look... but it didn't quite change the result this time around, as Besos outpaced her, and while Rachel did her best to dish out her trademark kicks, Besos would eventually land a huge 450 to finish things off and keep her spot in the rankings. An absolutely unbelievable tag match... one that showcased just how utterly terrifying Haruka and Oscuro are as a team. And what's worse... they've found a third member to join them in Selisha. Another huge victory against incredible odds... can anything stop these two? Or... now, these three? Kaelara gave Avispa everything she had... the Rainbow Bridge, a couple of Kae Busters, trying to wear him down and get back some of her momentum. But the young woman fell victim to a clear veteran... snapped up in a flash pin before she knew what was going on, and once again leaves the ring with her struggles continuing. It would appear Kantar's momentum has finally begun to transfer over from Evergreen... he was completely dominant here, plowing through Telan without any hesitation, and seems primed to make his way towards the Pacific Northwest Championship. With this match clearly so close to occurring... how long before he gets his shot, and then sets his sights on the Evergreen Championship as well? Yuki Maeda continues to show that she's perhaps one of the most dangerous veterans in Phoenix Rising. She's been a threat to everyone she's faced thus far... and Blake is no exception, as she overpowered him without any hesitation, finishing the job with her signature reverse piledriver, and picking up a major victory that places her next in line after Cassandra Marshall in the rankings... Urani Whitemist continues to make her statement: she is the only person capable of taking down the Dragon, at least, she certainly believes this to be true. She was a destructive force in this match... taking out Tasharun with a Uranage into her Camel Clutch, forcing him to submit... and stared down Rilantha De Nav without any fear, certainly partly due to having a foot and a half on Ril. Still, to Ril's credit, she didn't go without a fight... managing to lock in the Anaconda Vice at one point, but failing to force the submission... the rest of her attempts were blocked, Urani watching for the move every time before she landed an Ushi-goroshi to pick up the win, and a showdown with the Dragon once again. This was as motivated as Natasha's ever been... perhaps fueled by frustration over losing to the Proving Ground Tag Team Champions, she shredded through Michelle Rochefort here, who's likely wishing she -had- brought Angel and Elise to ringside... but then, Natasha would've had Todd at her side in turn. Perhaps there was simply no way to get around this one... Natasha is still the Pacific Northwest Champion, preparing to face Cassandra Marshall in two weeks. Kileas and Winifred have had two weeks to think about this rematch... and they clearly came in with a plan this time, no longer caught off guard by the young up-and-comers. Eri felt like almost a non-factor here, trying to wear down the champions as best she could, but quickly found herself folding against their offense... and Listalva could fare no better, her last gasp of a float-over DDT shrugged off by Winifred as though she didn't feel it, shortly before Lis was thrown across the ring in a massive German suplex that seemed to take the fight out of her completely. A cut-off by Kileas, and the challengers suffer a heartbreaking loss... and Eri still remains the only Sentarl yet to win a championship in her career. Eri and Listalva "I let ya' down..." Lis has an ice pack on her neck, wincing as she seems to be feeling the effects of the tough match. "Couldn't measure up tonight. I should've had more t' give."
"Don't blame yourself... they were ready for us." Eri sighs, sitting down beside Lis. "We got them with surprise last time... but that only carries us so far, I guess. Winifred looked like she had it out for you."
"And Kileas looked like he was seein' yer dad in ya' out there. Guess it just wasn't our night..." Lis takes in another sharp breath as she tries to stand, but Eri puts out a hand to steady her. "Let's just... head home, lick our wounds... this ain't the end of it. Maybe you oughta try and shoot for Natasha... y'know you're pretty high up there..."
"Maybe... but I'm not giving up on this team, or on you." Eri rises to her feet beside Lis, giving a firm nod. "I shouldn't feel so frustrated about titles, but... dammit, it'd feel good to finally win one instead of falling short, you know...? But... I'll get there. We'll get there. That's a promise." Natasha Clover "Listen to me... listen real close. This title's staying with me for as long as I can still stand and fight. I don't care about your technique, your size, your power, or how fucking Texan you are... I am the Pacific Northwest Champion, don't you ever forget that... that means you, Cassandra Marshall. When you and I meet... I'm gonna beat your ass so badly I'll send you home crying into Lance's arms. You don't know what success really feels like... and you never will, if I've got anything to say about it."

No time to relax... Proving Ground coming up on Monday, Evergreen the following Thursday, and the Blackwood Academy live show for May that following Saturday. Next week is packed, once again... as I'm left questioning my own sanity in continuing to push this schedule on myself. :P First off, Proving Ground episode 34: The Limbtakers vs. The Excellent Blades
Hugo Dirksen vs. Rey de la Carne
Titania and SATOMI vs. Winter Fresh
Gary Gear vs. Todd Colton
Allison Avery vs. Felice Santana
The Avian Assassins vs. Victor Kintelas and Kellaron Sentarl
Avery Adonis Alexander vs. Kyle Anderson
Anari Lynn Heyward vs. Layla Al-Amin for the Inspire ChampionshipWe haven't seen Ruthless Nicole Alger on Proving Ground for nearly two months, now, as she sought to bring her more "ruthless" nature back under control... and now, the Limbtakers reunite to take on the team that started this whole mess in the first place. The Limbtakers came out ahead in their last meeting, but since then, Candace has faced both members separately... dispatching Donna Nobel with her signature Knee Lock, but getting wiped out by the powerhouse that is Nicole Blade. A match against SATOMI on last week's Proving Ground saw Candace put up an impressive fight... but a loss ensures that she'll be very pleased to have her partner back, and with any luck, in a less unsavory manner.
Hugo Dirksen has yet to feel the experience of facing Rey de la Carne one-on-one... that changes this week as the Dutchman prepares to take on Proving Ground's most flamboyant (and talented) luchador. The question here is whether Hugo can endure the certain storm that's coming... if his suplexes and armwork can be brought to bear against Rey before things go south.
Titania had fully intended to take on La Relampaga... only for the young luchadora to have something come up this week, and leaving the Blue Bomber without a match. Instead, she'll join forces with fellow newcomer SATOMI to take on the established duo of Winter Fresh... SATOMI has faced both members, losing to Rin but defeating Fresh, while Titania holds victories over both... a fact she'll no doubt hold over her partner's head even as they try to work together.
Todd Colton was left frustrated last week when he and Natasha fell short of the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships... well short, unfortunately. He'll try to pick up the pieces here, but against a seemingly-revitalized Gary Gear, fresh off a Muscle Machines victory last week under Evergreen Rules, Todd will need to tap into that momentum he had before the unfortunate tag team challenge...
Allison Avery is back in the building, and seemingly wants to show up a newcomer. After Titania fell in a shocking upset against Felice Santana last week, Allison quickly came out of the woodwork, and has made the bold claim that she can out-do the powerhouse... and Proving Ground's Lariat Queen could very well back up her words. Felice, though, has quietly become one of the single most talented women in Proving Ground, and this match will be far from easy...
The tag team champions have a tough one this week as they take on the Avian Assassins. Fresh off a victory over Team Proving Ground (this time consisting of Argent and Kyle Anderson), and with Silver Hawk on a hot streak, now could be the perfect time for the Assassins to make their move... but Victor and Kellaron have been very, very dangerous champions, and with Victor Kintelas still being Top Prospect as well, do the odds favor the challengers in any sense here?
Avery Adonis Alexander continues to impress week after week. While the Evergreen Rules tag match last week was his first win in some time, he's still one of the more dangerous members of the Proving Ground roster... but Kyle Anderson is looking to halt his momentum, set on stopping AAA cold. Still, with Kyle's unfortunately spotty record... AAA could be on his way to another big win this week.
Finally, the match we've been anticipating... in the main event slot, as it deserves. Layla Al-Amin has had some time to dwell on how to face off against the powerful Anari Lynn Heyward, and will need to find a way to manage against her power... the Inspire Championship is on the line, and Anari has her sights set on taking that gold home, especially after dominating their first meeting.

RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: I'm back. And I know a lot's gone down since I've been gone. But one thing hasn't changed. I know Blade wants to take a shot at me. I'm ready for that. I've trained my heart out. Gotten stronger, better, smarter. Thiago Gracie worked with me, helped me sand off the rough edges where they weren't helping, helped me sharpen the cutting edge where I did. And now you'll see what I've got now, Blade. Candace, let's go get this, you've kicked ass, I'm ready to go, let's get some!
Felice Felice Santana: Allison Avery, you're one of the hardest hitters around, but you know what? I've shown that I can deal with bigger, stronger opponents! I've proven that I'm getting better every single time I get in that ring! So maybe you win, but if you think that's a given, then you weren't paying attention! When I take to the sky, with the Santana Sky, I can beat anyone they put in front of me!
Muscle Machines Gary Gear: Hah! Todd Colton! What a chump! He thinks he's such a bad boy, wearing his Dixie Cup tights and running his mouth! But you know what I can do to a paper cup! Rip and tear! Crush and smush!
Adonis Avery Alexander: "Crush and smush." Pathetic. You better back those words up, Gear. Because if you come back here throwing forty fives around like frisbees and trying to tear the locker doors off again because Colton made you tap, then I'll have no sympathy.
Gear: Nah, ain't gonna happen. At least you got an opponent your own size!
AAA: Kyle Anderson? Sure, he's big. But he's unrefined. Doesn't live the Builder Life. Just bulk with no refinement, no tone, no proportion or definition. Not a builder. Just a big lunk. You probably would get along with him, Gear.
Gear: Bet he beats your deadlift, Triple Z!
AAA: Whatever.

Probably one of the better shows in recent memory tonight. Went all over the place, that's for sure. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/427721569Youtube: youtu.be/JNj6mTWB2ZAQuick Results The Limbtakers def. The Excellent Blades Hugo Dirksen def. Rey de la Carne Winter Fresh def. Titania and SATOMI Todd Colton def. Gary Gear Allison Avery def. Felice Santana The Avian Assassins def. Victor and Kellaron Kyle Anderson def. Avery Adonis Alexander Layla Al-Amin def. Anari Lynn Heyward to retain the Inspire Championship Write-ups A hot opener that saw so much back-and-forth it was tough to call who'd come out ahead right up until the very end... both teams giving this one their all, but once again the Limbtakers come out ahead, RNA locking in the Ruthless Armripper to force a submission victory on the other Nicole, and showing that she has learned from her past mistakes. Hugo Dirksen was clearly in no mood for any sort of shenanigans tonight. Almost immediately after Rey performed his infamous Especial, Hugo went into overdrive... taking him down in short order and locking in the Cattle Mutilation perhaps a little too tightly... forcing an instant submission and bringing the medics to the ring to ensure Rey will be all right. No word just yet, but it's expected he won't miss much time. Arrogance might've been their greatest enemy here: Titania and SATOMI never really seemed to gel as a team, to the surprise of nobody, and while Titania showed her overwhelming power and SATOMI brought her dangerous strikes and submissions to bear, it was the speed and agility of Winter Fresh (and their impressive teamwork) that won the day... forcing SATOMI to tap out in the middle of the ring, leaving Titania disgusted with another frustrating defeat. For nearly this entire match, Gary Gear was in charge. Powerbombs and lariats aplenty, Todd looked doomed before six minutes had passed. But he never gave in, continued to work Gear's arms and looking for that opening he needed... and started to build momentum leading up to a crushing Canadian Destroyer in the center of the ring, picking up a colossal comeback victory that left the entire audience stunned. Make no mistake: Todd Colton is no joke. Pure, utter dominance. Felice couldn't do a thing here, Allison simply wiping her out with a vicious, focused assault... and that leaves Allison with a win where Titania failed, and in such short order. This could easily lead to further tension... The Avian Assassins were right back in form tonight, keeping up a relentless pace against the tag team champions... and while Victor did what he could to keep his team in the match, Silver Hawk would finish the job on Kellaron with a submission that forced the tapout, and earned the Assassins a title shot in the very near future. A slightly different story from Gary Gear's match... but AAA seemed to have things more or less under control, at least until Kyle found his footing and started throwing. Suplexes aplenty here, the impressive strength of Kyle's deadlift Germans carrying him... the third and final one coming after a quick German almost as if to reposition himself for the big one. Kyle Anderson comes away with a major victory, and could set his sights even higher. Is there anyone on Proving Ground that can stop Layla Al-Amin? While Anari did her best to keep the Cairo Cyclone grounded, it just wasn't enough... Layla was once again on fire, Deja Vu headscissors coming out so often you'd swear the name was entirely too fitting. Her fifth defense of the Inspire Championship... her list of challengers defeated including some of the best of the best: Veronika Armstrong, Fresh Suzuki, Allison Avery... and now, both of the Heyward sisters. Todd Colton "You took your eye off the ball again, Gary... you looked past someone you thought was a pushover. How many times do I have to tell you people? Times have changed... and I know why you blew it, Gary, because you were looking for the armbars, you were looking for the submissions... you weren't looking for the Destroyer that dumped you on your roided-up head. I doubt it'll teach you any sort of humility... but hey, a little cockiness can go a long damn way... least if you're me, that is." Titania and SATOMI "I should've known from the start that it wouldn't work. I don't do teams. I don't work with others. And of course the one time I do, you blow it." Titania seems to be almost looming over SATOMI... though the Japanese woman hardly looks fazed by the sight.
"How much of that match did you work..." SATOMI speaks quietly, but sharply... English heavily accented, but fluent enough. "I don't find it hard to believe you don't take partners... you don't look out for anyone but yourself. We'll meet again. But for now..." She pushes past Titania, silently walking away, Titania's fists clenched... and they clench tighter as another voice speaks up from behind her.
"So, what's that make... two in a row now, huh?" Allison Avery strides up, smirking as Titania turns to face her. "Two losses in a row to those little flippy ladies you keep crappin' on... oh, right, one of 'em was Felice Santana, right? Last show? Y'know... the girl I just wiped the floor with out there, yeah? Took me half the time to beat her that it did for you to lose to her..."
"Keep talking... maybe you want to back up your big talk one-on-one next show." Titania steps forward, the size difference apparent... and Allison shows the same lack of fear as SATOMI did earlier.
"Bring it on. You ain't got what it takes... not against Proving Ground's Lariat Queen." Layla Al-Amin "Another challenge... another defense. I'm not going to back down, not ever. I will defend this title until I can no longer stand... because that is what it's going to take to beat me. Keep that in mind, for anyone else who wants to challenge me... I'll be waiting for the next one to step up, and I expect nothing less than your absolute best."

Two cards to post today: firstly, Evergreen #11, coming up this Thursday at the usual time, and shakes out like this: Mercy Devine vs. Rebecca Andrews
Babe Ruthless vs. Sayaka Saito
Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura vs. The Sheridan Brothers
Julian Shepard vs. Eddy Introspect
Ash Defiant vs. Veronika Armstrong
El Verde vs. eMo
Kantar vs. Young Blood (PEWA)
Mercy Devine has struggled as a wrestler lately, even as Evergreen flourishes under her leadership... leading some to wonder if Kevin Royce was holding the promotion back when he was in charge. Still, Mercy will look to turn her fortunes around as she takes on Rebecca Andrews, pride of Chicago and close friend to Veronika Armstrong... Rebecca's regular tag team partner flies solo as well, as she sets herself to take on Babe Ruthless, last seen getting KOed by Veronika's Mercykiller. Babe was apparently quite lucky and returns to the ring here, but Sayaka has definitely shown signs of being a dangerous singles opponent... and could easily be a threat to take Babe down again. Fenix Oscuro and Haruka Matsura have been nothing short of a force of nature since joining forces, and now they've added another member to their ranks in the form of Selisha. Now a deadly trio, they have their sights set on the Sheridan Brothers... who may need to find some way to even the odds if they want to have any chance of coming out of this match with a win... or even to simply survive it. Julian Shepard, no longer Evergreen Champion, now has the opportunity to try and earn his way back to the top... but he'll have to take on the man that was also involved the night Julian won the title to begin with. Eddy Introspect was the other challenger for Veronika's title that night, and while Julian came out ahead in the end, Eddy's proven to be a dangerous opponent night after night... and seems to be intent on rising to the top himself sooner rather than later. Ash Defiant has continued to make an impact every time she appears for Evergreen, and no doubt this will be no exception as she takes on Veronika Armstrong. This match is sure to turn into a brawl before long, and neither can take it lightly... A stunning victory at Evergreen #10 leaves Eternamente Verde as the new Evergreen Champion... and showed that she's truly come to respect her tag team partner. No doubt El Verde has become the most popular duo in Evergreen, but they'll need to focus as they take on eMo... Strawberry Sookie and Penelope Lea are no joke, and can't be overlooked for a second, championship or no. Kantar's path through the PEWA was thought to be over... he'd beaten the PEWA Champion, Tomas, he'd reached the top of the mountain, he'd crushed the best that Philly had to offer. And then Lariats and Legislators #8 happened, and Tomas dropped the title to the newcomer, Young Blood. Now Kantar gears up for one final clash with the Philadelphia crew, one final test to prove that he's got what it takes to bring down anyone and everyone that they have to offer. But it won't be easy: the new champion has been utterly dominant in the few appearances we've seen him in, and no doubt Young Blood will give Kantar a greater challenge than anyone ever has in an Evergreen ring. Kantar "Imagine my surprise when someone else stepped up and actually beat Tomas. Maybe it was a lingering effect from my beating him in an Evergreen ring, maybe you just outdid him, for all I care, maybe he just stopped giving a shit about the title. There's only one thing that matters here, Young Blood... you're the best of the best up in Philly now, and that means one thing... I'm taking you down next. You're the last obstacle in my way, the last marker on my path through PEWA, and I'm going to make damn sure you know exactly what you're getting into from the moment that bell rings." The Blackwood Academy will have its monthly live show this Saturday... the card for that show has already been posted in the Academy thread, but they will see a three-way match for the Academy Championship between champion Anna Bryant taking on challengers Diosa Syringa and Jessika Boom. Two days later, Showdown episode 34 takes place... The Rising Storm vs. Adrenaline Rush #11 Sophia Moretti vs. #7 Listalva Anne Heyward #5 Eri Sentarl vs. #4 Blake Dynamite Les Beautes Blondes vs. Kileas Kintelas and Winifred Wright #2 Yuki Maeda vs. #3 Kantar Lance Marshall vs. Alexandria Kirison Urani Whitemist and The Black Dragon vs. Firehawk Sentarl and Shiana Sentarl Cassandra Marshall vs. Natasha Clover for the Pacific Northwest ChampionshipAdrenaline Rush has struggled, and continued to struggle, since their debut... and this week might be no exception as they take on the most decorated tag team in Phoenix Rising. The Rising Storm have been quiet as of late, but Anahera and Xiu Mei Li seem primed to return to their old form... at the expense of everyone that stands in their way. Sophia Moretti seeks to raise her position in the rankings for the Pacific Northwest Championship this week, taking on a woman four spots higher than herself: Listalva Anne Heyward is coming off of a heartbreaking defeat last week, with Queen Anne and Eri Sentarl failing to capture the Tag Team Championships... and Sophia seems determined to mop up the scraps. Eri may have been part of that defeat as well, but she's sure to be motivated here: a chance to move up closer to the top, closer to that chance at the gold that's eluded her for so long. She'll take on the man one spot ahead of herself: Blake Dynamite, in what could be an early contender for match of the night... two high-flying daredevils prepared to give everything they've got. Angel Leblanc remains one of the most arrogant women in all of wrestling. Seeing Eri and Listalva fall to the champions, she's declared that there is no way that Les Beautes Blondes will fail like they did... and alongside Michelle Rochefort (and certainly with Elise Pichon looming in the background) they could very well back up her threats. Yuki Maeda will face perhaps the toughest match of her veteran career this week... Kantar has his eyes on the Pacific Northwest Championship, and could earn his way into the match a week early if he manages to defeat Yuki here. But Yuki is no joke... size difference or not, she won't be an easy opponent to bring down, even for the demon just four nights after he takes on Young Blood. Lance Marshall has had it rough as of late... and Alexandria Kirison seems to be preparing to take full advantage of that fact. Alex declared her intent to enter the World Championship division... seeming very sure of herself that she can compete with the best of the best, and this match will need to be where she proves it. The SFG rides again... and in its most terrifying form, no less. Urani Whitemist and the Black Dragon will join forces ahead of Urani's challenge for Dragon's World Championship... and they'll face a team that some thought might not ever happen again. Firehawk and Shiana, husband and wife, have finally teamed up for a match... and against seemingly impossible odds. No pressure, clearly... Capping off the night, the Pacific Northwest Championship will be on the line once again... with Natasha Clover defending against Cassandra Marshall. This will be Natasha's third defense: having fought off the Phantom Thief and Michelle Rochefort thus far since winning the title from Kaelara Sentarl, she'll now face the dangerous Texan, one of the few women able to meet Natasha on even grounds in terms of her striking ability... and outdoing Natasha in raw power. Could this be the night that Natasha falls? Natasha Clover "Cassandra Marshall... let me just remind you what I said after I beat Michelle's ass last week. By the time I'm finished defending this title, you will be doing one of two things: either running home to cry to Lance, or laying at my feet knocked out cold and having to be carted out by the medics. Either way, if you think you have a chance in hell of taking MY title from me... just remember who you're dealing with, you crazy Texan bitch. Because I dare you to prove me wrong... the Thief tried. Tried to 'change my heart', and blew it. Michelle tried, and couldn't get the job done. And that's just like you, isn't it? You finally scratch and crawl your way up to the big-time and then piss it all away the first chance you get. This time, you're not getting that chance. I'm gonna beat you down, send you to the back of the line, and I will STILL be the Pacific Northwest Champion." Alexandria Kirison "The moment that word got out that I'd be facing Lance Marshall this week, I got written off. I've already heard it all: fans, the locker room, so many people, so many voices telling me there's not a chance in hell that I come out of this with a win, what am I thinking trying to challenge for the World Championship... you must be joking. There is no one... no one in this company capable of meeting me blow-for-blow. Not Lance Marshall, not Xiu Mei Li, not Natasha Clover... no one that considers themselves a 'striker' is anything like me. Lance Marshall is the one you should be worried about... because he's in for the fight of his life. And soon enough... the World Champion will find it, as well, whether that's Urani Whitemist or the Black Dragon. I don't care how powerful, how dominant, how intimidating you think you are... you're never going to match me."

A message from Young Blood (A warning from PEWA President Biff Taylor: Dudes and dudettes, Young Blood ain't cool with me, or anyone else in the PEWA. We all think he's a jerk, and on the friggin' record, we're all cheerin' for Kantar to shut him up, as soon as possible!) Young Blood: I am sick and tired of hearing about this Kantar. Every time I show up to compete at the Halcyon, I keep hearing the fans talk about him. Backstage, the roster can't stop mentioning him. And the most pathetic part of this, is that they aren't pissing their pants in fear, they aren't raging at this outsider taking apart their roster piece by piece. No, what I hear is some sad, sorry sort of respect. They act like he's become one of them by spilling their blood on his fists. Like they just want to drink beer with him, eat that putrid parking lot barbecue with him. What the fuck is wrong with these ancient idiots? They respect Kantar like he's a friend, when he's just broken them down, made them look like the ineffectual fools that they are.
Young Blood: But I don't respect you, Kantar. You beat a roster of past it has beens, of never was, never will be types, of the most overrated pansies ever to take a barbed wire scar, and act like it means something. I don't give a damn about those overhyped assholes. Far as I care, you did me a favor kicking their asses. But if you thought that meant anything, if you thought that proved that you're hardcore, you're as stupid as they are!
Young Blood: You don't know what hardcore is! You don't know, Kantar, what you're in for now! Did you see what I did to Tomas? I fucked that shithead twig limbed mental case up! He's not on my level! I showed Philadelphia just what it was missing for the last twenty years! They thought they had hardcore! They were so damn wrong they didn't even know! They didn't know! Kantar, you beat nobody! You proved nothing! Now you have a match with someone who doesn't play at this game! So go ahead, brag about beating down the PEWA, I'm not PEWA, I just hold their title. I'm not Philly, I just show up there to fight. I'm Young Blood, and I'm the hardcore nightmare that's going to break your bones, shed your blood and take your soul. And maybe after I put you in the ground, it's time to add that Evergreen title to my trophy room. I'm providing a fresh infusion into this industry. And that's an effort that will be rewarded. Even when I have to take my prizes by force.

Evergreen went as smoothly as it ever does, and shook things up quite a bit... Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/429022240Youtube: youtu.be/idEeFdm8YqAQuick Results Mercy Devine def. Rebecca Andrews Babe Ruthless def. Sayaka Saito The Sheridan Brothers def. Oscuro and Haruka Julian Shepard def. Eddy Introspect Ash Defiant def. Veronika Armstrong eMo def. El Verde Young Blood def. Kantar Write-ups A wildly hot opener that saw Mercy finally get back to her usual self: before it was over, Rebecca was bloodied and eventually crumpled after Mercy landed a crushing modified tombstone piledriver, giving her a much-needed victory. Intense from the start, Babe reminded the Evergreen crowd just how dangerous she really is, controlling most of this matchup and eventually wiping Sayaka out with her facebuster finish, looking dominant in victory and making life difficult for Veronika's crew... This was a night of firsts, and Oscuro and Haruka finally taste defeat at the hands of the Sheridans... though it would appear they got quite lucky in the process, Zack managing to survive Oscuro's nasty submission long enough for Vincent to score a pinfall on Haruka. This one might not be over yet. Julian needed a match like this to prove he's still one of the best in Evergreen, and rose to the occasion without a doubt. Eddy did his best to keep the former champion down, but a big gutbuster put this one away, and Julian bounces back from his loss to Verde. A sprint of a brawl, with Ash just plowing through Veronika near the end... a Mercykiller on a discarded chair scored a nearfall, and Ash fired right back moments later with a Defiant Bomb that laid Veronika out for the victory. Perhaps one of the most impressive performances of the entire night. eMo needed this win after Eddy's disappointing showing earlier... and they absolutely took command over El Verde, even now that the team includes the Evergreen Champion. The finish was maybe one of the wildest that Evergreen's ever witnessed, and simply has to be seen to be believed. For all of Kantar's confidence going into this one, this match was Young Blood's from the start. Fighting his way out of everything Kantar threw at him, he'd ultimately bloody the demon and land a crushing frog splash, and picked up another dominant victory. No doubt this will send a ripple through the other hardcore feds out there... Evergreen's disappointed and frustrated, and no doubt PEWA feels the same way. Yet, most seem to believe that another hardcore fed watched this outcome with smug satisfaction... Mercy Devine "Lemme make something perfectly clear. Yeah, you're the PEWA Champion. Yeah, you just came into our turf and beat the guy that'd been undefeated for months, yeah, you think you're hot shit now, Young Blood. But let me knock you back down to earth: I don't give a shit what you did in Philly, because the moment you step into my ring, the only thing that matters is what you've accomplished here. Yeah, it's an impressive win. Yeah, you ended a streak, you proved a point, but you won one match, big guy... and one fucking match isn't enough to earn the right to challenge for the title that belongs to us. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let all of my titles be held by outsiders. The Mutants... good guys, but they're also Philly guys and it still fucking burns me up that one of our own didn't win that tag team tournament. So I'm telling you up front: you've got two choices. Either keep showing up here in Evergreen and prove yourself the right fucking way... or fuck off back to Philly and stay there. Just be aware that if you show up here again... I'm not gonna make life easy for you. I'm not gonna let you stride in like you fuckin' own the place... that's MY job, in case you weren't aware.
I have plans for if you ever feel like you want another Evergreen match, big guy. I have options... and you're not gonna like 'em."

Well, despite a near-catastrophic freeze in the middle of the card, we got through tonight's show mostly without a hitch. Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/430964580Youtube: youtu.be/gDlS7zPs4yoQuick Results The Rising Storm def. Adrenaline Rush Sophia Moretti def. Listalva Anne Heyward Blake Dynamite def. Eri Sentarl Les Beautes Blondes def. Kileas and Winifred Kantar def. Yuki Maeda Lance Marshall def. Alexandria Kirison The SFG (Urani and Dragon) def. Shiana and Firehawk Natasha Clover def. Cassandra Marshall to retain the Pacific Northwest Championship Write-ups A hot tag opener as usual: and Adrenaline Rush turned in maybe their best performance to date against one of the tougher teams they've faced. Still, a solid showing against most teams typically isn't enough against the Rising Storm... and a sharp combination of elbows from Anahera put this one to rest in a hurry. Sophia Moretti is a woman reborn, it seems (no, not the skill). No longer languishing at the bottom of the totem pole, she's put together quite the run: and here, putting Listalva through her paces, she pulled off a major victory and moved herself up four spots, inching ever closer to the Pacific Northwest Championship. Eri gave this match her all... but it seemed like Blake simply had her scouted all around. Still, it took a lot of work to keep her down: she continued to kick out in impressive fashion, or managed to get a foot on the ropes, and ultimately, it took a Super Dynamite Cutter to finally take Eri down. She doesn't move up, but she's still very much in line to challenge for the Pacific Northwest Championship sooner rather than later. No doubt the deciding factor in this match was the numbers game. With Elise Pichon on the outside running distractions, the Blondes couldn't be stopped... every time Angel or Michelle were in peril, Elise was up on the apron yelling at the referee, allowing the Blondes to turn the tide... and Angel would ultimately get the win thanks to it, snapping through a Tiger Neck Chancery that landed in her own corner, and polishing off a huge win over the tag team champions... and setting the stage for a championship rematch that could be destiny. For as dominant as Yuki Maeda has appeared against most opponents, Kantar was a wall... one even she couldn't overcome. The size difference was a struggle early on, but even once she began to push past that, she couldn't endure the vicious onslaught that Kantar was bringing to the table, and a crushing discus lariat spelled the end and ensured that Kantar will have the next shot at the Pacific Northwest Championship... Alex fought with everything she had tonight, but Lance Marshall was not about to let himself be outdone by his fellow Texan. Seeing Cowboy Johnston so thoroughly dominant this past Friday clearly motivated Lance to do the same, and it was the familiar Stampede that finished this one off... that said, Alex never seemed to bring her biggest moves to bear against Lance. Could it have gone another way if she had? It felt like this match was on a razor's edge for the entire length. Both teams were fully capable of finishing the other at any moment... and indeed, Dragon certainly tried to finish Shiana on multiple occasions, landing that crushing reverse chokeslam on the Queen on more than one occasion, and blasting her with fire more than once as well. But Shiana was a veteran star here... somehow landing a piledriver on Urani, and nearly taking the win right then and there. An Ushi-goroshi, however, and the familiar elbow dropping, put this one to rest. This is as dominant as Natasha's ever looked. She absolutely took Cassandra to task here, with only a few moments where she didn't appear to be in control... and defended her title in impressive fashion, pounding Cassandra until the fight was taken out of her entirely. There was absolutely no doubt tonight: Natasha Clover is a champion. But she may not be in two weeks... when she steps into the ring with the monster that is Kantar. Natasha Clover "So, I was gonna try and say this to your face out in the ring, but I think I knocked your lights out, Cassie... so lemme just go ahead and remind you after the fact instead. I did exactly what I said I was gonna do to you. So what you're gonna do is slink home, with your tail between your legs, and you cry to your brother because you got dominated, humiliated, blew yet another one of your chances because that's all you'll ever do. I'm better than you. I'm better than this whole fucking division. And I don't care how big, or intimidating, or dangerous you think you are, Kantar... I don't care that you were undefeated in Evergreen until big bad Young Blood came along, and I know how much of a sore spot that is for you... I nearly broke Kaelara Sentarl's ribs to win this title. I made the Phantom Thief tap out, and we haven't seen him since. I nearly broke Michelle Rochefort in half two weeks ago to defend this title. And I pounded Cassandra Marshall into a semi-conscious pile of Texan failure. So if you think you're gonna swagger into MY ring and take MY title without a fight, just look back at the past couple of months, and remember who I really am." The Black Dragon "I'm going to let that stand as a reminder to the Sentarl family. I don't care about your accolades, your careers, how long you've been around, because I've been around just as long, and in case you forgot, Shiana... I made my career on destroying you. Don't think I can't do it again... you should've learned your lesson after the first time I drove your face into the mat and stayed down. But you've always been too damn stubborn for your own good. So after I'm done defending my title against Urani in two weeks... I'll give you a reminder by myself. You and me... you'd better find a way to tap into your old White Dragon, because if you don't, I'll make sure you don't walk out of that ring under your own strength."

A message from Biff Taylor to Mercy Devine and Evergreen Wrestling Biff Taylor: It's your friendly ol' Biffmeister here again, just wanted to shoot the line over and let you know that I got zero problem at all if you book the PEWA Extreme champ into the hospital! Do what you want, do what you will, it's all good in my book! Young Blood's got talent, but he's an ass, and he needs to be taught a lesson, and if you can do that, then count me as appreciative. But if his ink-stained skull's too thick for a lesson, I'm good with ya messing him up, too! Just don't send him back to me the same, got that?

Couple of major things to talk about this week: first of all, it's on fairly short notice but there's never been a better time for it... with contenders set for every championship, Sky's The Limit will be returning in two weeks, Phoenix Rising's first proper major event of 2019 (not counting the anniversary show.) A full card will be established after Proving Ground next Monday... but every championship save the Proving Ground Tag Team Championship will be on the line, as those titles will be defended in the main event of Proving Ground this week. This is to prevent double-booking Victor Kintelas, of course. So, speaking of Proving Ground... Winter Fresh vs. The Excellent Blades
SATOMI vs. Felice Santana
Jennifer Phoenix vs. Ruthless Nicole Alger
Todd Colton and the Sheridan Brothers vs. Kyle Anderson and the Muscle Machines
Candace Monroe vs. La Relampaga
Argent vs. Rey de la Carne
Titania vs. Allison Avery
The Avian Assassins vs. Victor and Kellaron for the Proving Ground Tag Team ChampionshipsDue to the upcoming PPV event, there's a lot on the line this week: firstly, Winter Fresh and the Excellent Blades step into the ring once again, seeking to remind everyone what they're capable of. The winner of this match will go on to Sky's The Limit in a #1 contender's match... their opponents yet to be determined, but a later match on the card could have implications to that effect. The first of four women's singles matches this week, SATOMI sets out to do what Titania failed to: she will face Felice Santana, fully intent on scoring the win that Titania couldn't. This will also lead into Sky's The Limit: Layla Al-Amin will defend the Inspire Championship against four other women at that event, the winners of each match on this card. So this match, and the other three, all hold a great deal of importance. Jennifer Phoenix has often found herself lost in the Proving Ground shuffle since coming to the show... but she's got a big chance to break out here and earn a shot at the Inspire Championship. She'll have to face the new and improved Ruthless Nicole Alger, though, in a rare singles showing... and RNA seems determined to rise to the top. The Muscle Machines have a problem, and its name is Todd Colton. Todd's made a fool out of both of the Muscle Machines, most recently pinning Gary Gear last Proving Ground, but now they'll seek their revenge... and without Todd's usual partner in Natasha, he's had to look elsewhere for backup. Luckily, he's found it in the Sheridan Brothers... but the Machines will have Kyle Anderson on their side in this 6-man tag war. Candace Monroe has the opportunity of a lifetime. A win over La Relampaga would enter her into the 5-way battle for the Inspire Championship... but the Lightning Luchadora has been, well... electric, since her debut. This one has the chance to be one of the best matches of the night. Argent hasn't been terribly active as of late, but he'll step into the ring against everyone's favorite Beef King. Rey de la Carne has seen his ups and downs, but that big grin never leaves his face... can Argent even hope to change that? Titania is in a foul mood. There's no doubting that. And even worse... Allison Avery set out to rub it in her face. Not only did Titania lose in tag action last week (a match she barely wanted any part of to begin with), Allison defeated Felice Santana, in dominant fashion. Now Titania will be out for blood... and there's little doubt she'll make sure Allison has a night to remember... or perhaps more likely, forget. The Avian Assassins were beyond impressive last week in taking down the Proving Ground Tag Team Champions, and now have their shot at glory as they square off again for the titles. Silver Hawk and Pajaro de Fuego are on a hell of a hot streak... but Victor and Kellaron have more than proven that they're capable when their backs are to the wall. Finally, Evergreen will also be taking place next Thursday... and while Mercy didn't yet release the card, she had some words to say about the Young Blood situation still currently brewing. "Look... I'm gonna be real blunt about this, I like Young Blood about as much as Biff Taylor does, and if you listened to the guy earlier, you'd know that they don't get along. This guy swaggers in like he owns the place, thinks he's hot shit 'cause he won a single match under MY roof. But you listen to me... Young Blood, and everyone else out there. I have plans, I have backup plans... I got three in particular that I've got ordered by how desperate I need to feel to let them loose. And mark my words, I'm letting the first one loose on your ass next week, Young Blood. Survive that... and I have so, so much worse in store. But I can damn well guarantee one thing: you have no idea what you're in for. You have no idea what I'm gonna throw in your face. But you will. You'll learn what it means to step into an Evergreen ring. And when I'm done with you... you'll never, ever forget it."

Felice Felice Santana: I feel super honored to be facing SATOMI, because I know that this is a big deal for Proving Round and because Phoenix Rising wants to make her a big star...but they also know around here that I'm not a pushover or a jobber! They know that I'm dangerous! And I know that I want to show everyone why I deserve to be a rising star around here, too! SATOMI is too good to lose her spot when I beat her, and that's good because I really wouldn't want to do that, but I do want to win this match, and I will show everyone that no matter how good or hyped or loved she is by management, that the Santana style is the best, and that I have what it takes to take the next step! And if anyone's gonna show that the Sky's the Limit, it's me!
RNA Ruthless Nicole Alger: So me and Candace got our own matches. She got the Lightning girl. I got the Phoenix. But everyone knows now that we're in this for real. I fixed my problems. Now it's time to start moving up and making things happen. Singles matches. Tag matches. Either way, I'm good. Jennifer, come get some.
Muscle Machines Gary Gear: Kyle Anderson's real, man! He's big and bulky!
Adonis Avery Alexander: I'll admit, he's not the worst choice they could make to team with us. But he needs to learn how to stick to the Builder Life, and define his muscles if he wants to go anywhere in this industry.
Gear: Nah, he's badass and got power. Plus, they call him Five Star Kyle, so he's gonna give us the in with Digital Dave for our match!
AAA: Whatever. You just make sure you don't get embarrassed by Colton again.
Gear: Hah, not like you did better! At least I put the pain on him and bashed him into the mat before he got me!
AAA: And the Sheridans, you better not fall for their tricks, either. Our team should easily win this match. We have the size, the power, every advantage in the book. Other than your ring awareness being that of a fruit fly, we should have this signed, sealed and delivered within the first ten minutes of this match.
Gear: Yeah, Five Star Kyle, and the Muscle Machines are locked and loaded! Let's get them! Make them Fear Gary Gear!

Despite some technical issues (thank you OBS crash), Proving Ground still managed to be a hell of a show ahead of Sky's The Limit. (And boy editing this post is proving to be a bit of a mess goddammit) Twitch: www.twitch.tv/videos/434218344 - Part One pre-crash www.twitch.tv/videos/434218691 - Part Two post-crash Youtube: youtu.be/CoRfwvJrlxw - Part One youtu.be/A7K530qz-FM - Part Two Quick Results The Excellent Blades def. Winter Fresh SATOMI def. Felice Santana Ruthless Nicole Alger def. Jennifer Phoenix Todd Colton and the Sheridan Brothers def. Kyle Anderson and the Muscle Machines Candace Monroe def. La Relampaga Argent def. Rey de la Carne Titania def. Allison Avery Victor and Kellaron def. The Avian Assassins to retain the Proving Ground Tag Team Championships Write-ups The usual hot tag opener, back and forth right up to the end. But Donna Nobel would not be denied tonight... planting Rin Ryusaki down and putting this match away, and surely putting the Blades in line for next week's #1 contender's tag match. SATOMI came here with something to prove, and by god, she wouldn't let it happen any other way. Felice, for her part, was a dynamo here... improving every week, but SATOMI was relentless, eventually bringing the Dominican down and becoming the first challenger for next week's Inspire Championship 5-way. This was as intense a match as any tonight... everything on the line, a spot in the title match... and RNA was dominant. While Phoenix did her best to stay in this one, there was no doubt about it... Ruthless Nicole Alger was in rare form tonight, and polished things off with the Ruthless Armripper... living up to the name of the team once more. Who can possibly stop Todd Colton now? Another big win over the Muscle Machines and Kyle Anderson... even more bragging rights over the arrogant builders, and even more reason that he's earned his Top Prospect match with Victor Kintelas one week from tonight. The Sheridans were a part of this match too, but make no mistake: Todd was the star of this match, and he might be the fastest-rising star in all of Phoenix Rising now. Candace was not going to let that Inspire Championship match only have one of the Limbtakers involved. She tore La Relampaga apart here, looked as strong as perhaps we've ever seen her, and while Relampaga had a couple of hope spots, Candace snuffed those out in a hurry and forced the luchadora to tap out to her signature knee lock... the Limbtakers were two-for-two on doing what they do, tonight, and everyone involved in the Inspire Championship match next week may want to watch out. Argent once again shows just how dangerous he can be... despite Rey getting into his usual bag of tricks, Argent didn't seem fazed in the end, laying the Beef King out with a series of elbows and picking up a big win. The final spot in the Inspire Championship match would be decided here... and Allison Avery's words clearly came back to haunt her tonight. Taunting Titania over her back-to-back losses, mocking her over Allison's easy victory over Felice Santana (something SATOMI also accomplished tonight, if not in such dominant fashion)... Titania came at the Arkansas native like a wrecking ball, and not even taking out referee Hana Brightly slowed down the pace... no less than THREE Titanic Bombs laid Allison out cold, and now Little Rock's finest might have even more problems on the horizon... like an angry referee looking for her head. Once again, the tag team champions would not back down. Victor Kintelas and Kellaron Sentarl have been nothing short of the most dominant team since Pure Gold left for Showdown... and here they stand, still the champs, after Victor delivered that crushing Cutter that won them the titles in the first place. Not even Silver Hawk stealing the Shotgun would stop Victor... the cutter came moments later, and knocked Silver Hawk out cold, possibly taking him out of action for a while... though we're unsure of how long that might be. Titania "Let that match stand as a lesson to you, Allison... From the moment we first clashed in that ring, I saw the shock in your eyes as you realized just how fucked you really were. I had you beat in size, in strength, in everything that mattered... and you resorted to a dirty trick to try and turn the tables, by taking out the referee. But it didn't help you, did it? You walked straight into a Titanic Bomb... and kept running into them because you are a one-trick girl, Allison. As for me... I'm going to Sky's The Limit to fight for the Inspire Championship, and I WILL come away with it... you, meanwhile, will apparently have other problems to worry about... but at least you'll be on the show.
SATOMI! Monroe! Alger! And of course, the champion, Layla Al-Amin... noneof you are going to walk out of that ring as the champion. Not as long as I still stand. Your reign comes to an end next week, Layla... so enjoy holding that belt while you can, because I will leave four broken bodies in my wake before all is said and done." Todd Colton "So, what, am I supposed to be intimidated? You knocked out Silver Hawk, defended your tag titles, and I'm supposed to be scared, I'm guessing... well, Victor, you're gonna find out real damn quick that I don't do intimidated... you can't make me back down, you're not walking out with that title still around your waist, and you better damn well believe that you're gonna feel it for the next two weeks when I'm done, 'cause I'm gonna wrench your arms out of their sockets... and then dump you on your damn head to finish the job. I will be the Top Prospect, Victor... or I'll walk away from Proving Ground." SATOMI "No matter how much bluster you have about this championship match... it doesn't matter until we're in that ring, staring down the others. Yes, you beat the woman that taunted you so relentlessly, Titania... but both Allison and myself have now done what you failed to do, beat Felice Santana. And you may talk all you want about how you'll overpower everyone in your path... but you walk into that match with a target on your back larger than even Layla Al-Amin's... and mark my words, I will be the one still standing when the dust settles... I will be the Inspire Champion. Candace Monroe "Well, here we are... the biggest match yet, and it's the first time I'm up against Nicole in a good while. I'm looking forward to it... testing myself in such a chaotic match, squaring off with my partner, aiming high for the biggest prize we can grab... Titania's saying she'll win it with her size and strength, SATOMI's saying she'll win it with her strikes, with her technical ability, with all that... I'm gonna win this match because I'm gonna pull as many legs off as I can, you hear? I've got everything it takes to come out of that match as the Inspire Champion... I've been waiting for this chance, I've been looking for this opportunity and I'm NOT gonna come away empty-handed, even if I've gotta go through the four toughest women I know... even if one of them is RNA, even if I've gotta make my own tag partner TAP OUT, I will NOT blow this opportunity... and when it's all said and done, I'll set my sights on winning those tag titles again, because I know... I KNOW that the Limbtakers can become Proving Ground Tag Team Champions... it's just a matter of time."

"Self-Appointed Unofficial Head Official of Proving Ground" Hana Brightly With her uniform ripped, and her forehead bandaged, Hana Brightly peels off her aerodynamic wristbands before aggressively throwing them on the ground. A small trickle of blood is pouring from her forehead, while top half of her shirt is still stained from her collision with Allison Avery earlier. She's breathing heavily, palms are sweaty, blood is on her sweater already, mom's spaghetti. Pacing back and forth, she finally spots the camera before reaching the lens and shaking it.
Hana Brightly (screams): ALLISON AVERY!
She shushes herself, rubbing her own face while she tries to recollect her thoughts. She's angry, but it was so unlike her to scream! No, no, she struggles to calm down and pushes herself away allowing both the camera and the person operating it to regain their barrings.
Hana: Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to scream. It's not your fault Mr. Cameraman, no, no. You see, tonight was the night. The big main event. Kellaron and Victor were scheduled to face everyone's favorite bird team, the Avian Assassins. Ass-ass, have you ever found that funny how that word is spelle--sorry, sorry. My mind is everywhere at the moment and you'll have to excuse me! But Allison. Look at me. LOOK AT ME!
She holds her breath, realizing she was shouting again. Again, it wasn't like her to scream! Hana Brightly was usually calm, collected, and day-dreamed about the X-Men finally being part of the MCU, but this? This was so unlike her. She fights to calm back down before wiping away the accumulated saliva off the corner of her mouth.
Hana: Let me ask you something Ally, if you'll allow me to call you that, did you know who was scheduled to officiate that match?! DO YOU?! Silver Hawk, Silver Failure, Silver Whatever, people love that guy! And everyone knows the other guy is just Firehawk in a mask. SEE, you can't fool this brain, no, but VICTOR AND KELLARON?! They're the best Proving Ground has to offer and guess what? We're in the MIDST of PRIDE MONTH, ALLY! ~*THE MIDST!*~
She tries to catch her breath, and ultimately draws her hands close to her heart and looks skyward.
Hana: The fabled story of star-crossed lovers from rivaling families. Their love was never supposed to happen but it did, Ally! IT DID! Not that someone from Arkansas would understand.
She purposely said the state incorrectly.
Hana: Clearly you don't. CLEARLY! Because in what was supposed to me my duty to pull a triple-header and officiate three matches?! ENDED WITH YOU! YOU, ALLISON! YOU BUMPING. INTO. ME.
Pointing aggressively at herself, she suddenly regrets it and holds her head. Hana's passion was threatening to make her bandages turn more red. Whoops.
Hana: You...you....you prevented me from my job, Allison. You prevented me from being able to celebrate with Phoenix Rising's love that simply knows no bounds! AND FOR THAT?!
She closes her eyes while she slowly points at the camera.
Hana: You. Must. Pay. Owowowowowowowow.
Holding her head, medical staff hastily come to Hana's aid while she sits down and gets her bandages addressed.
