Some News coming out of the 9/16/00 NJPW Show in Nagoya Aichi Prefectural Gym in my King of Colosseum Sim.

New Japan's 2nd to last show before the Big Do Judge! 10/9/00 Tokyo Dome Show had the continuation of NJPW Vs AJPW.



The Main Event of the Evening Saw AJPW standing Tall when Masanobu Fuchi & Taiyo Kea defeated Masahiro Chono & AKIRA when Fuchi made AKIRA Submit to his Reverse Viper Hold. Fuchi Afterwards said that this was only the beginning. After losing to Chono in Nippon Budokan, it was fitting to get redemmption in a NJPW ring & looks ahead to the Tokyo Dome for AJPW to Stand tall. Fuchi Also made a challenge to Jushin Thunder Liger for the Tokyo Dome to see who was the best Jr Heavyweight In Japan as both were Champions in their own Promotions throughout the 90s.

Speaking of Liger, he lost his first match in his "Heavyweight Level Up Series" to Manabu Nakanishi. Liger put up a good fight but the Massive Nakanishi got the expected victory. Despite this loss to Nakanishi, by Liger's performance in the previous 6 matches winning all of them. He will be graduating to the Heavyweight Division regardless of the result of his final match in The "Heavyweight Level Up Series" against Hiroyoshi Tenzan in Sagamihara City Gymnasium. Liger just recently Accepted Fuchi's Challenge & said it would be a fitting Farewell to being a Jr Heavyweight by taking on the Multi Time AJPW World Jr Heavyweight Champion & proving Liger's Style of Junior is the better style compared to the "Fujinami inspired" style Fuchi represented in AJPW.

Manabu Nakanishi after beating Liger, will face Michiyoshi Ohara at the Tokyo Dome. Ohara made his return during this Tour & after beating Tadao Yasuda issued a Challenge to Nakanishi.

There will be a total of 4 NJPW Vs AJPW Matches for the Tokyo Dome including the aforementioned Fuchi Vs Liger match. The Semi Main Event which was set up after the 9/2/00 AJPW Nippon Budokan Show will be for the IWGP Tag Team Titles with Team 2000's Masahiro Chono & Hiroyoshi Tenzan defending against the World Tag Team Champions Abdullah The Butcher & Giant Kimala.

Before that IWGP Tag Team Title Match there will be 2 other NJPW/Team 2000 Vs AJPW Matches. First a Super Dream Tag Match with NJPW's Team 7 from Team 2000 Giant Silva & Giant Singh taking on the Legendary AJPW Team of Giant Baba & Jumbo Tsuruta in a 1 fall 45 Min Time Limit match. Followed by a Gaijin battle between another Team 2000 representative Scott Norton taking on AJPW's "Dr Death" Steve Williams in a 1 fall 60 Min time limit match. All 4 of these NJPW Vs AJPW matches will be on a special Chukkei on Sat January 23rd exclusively on the Fire Pro Club FB Group.

Team 2000 is not alone with just those matches against AJPW. Team 2000 will be represented with IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion Team 2000's Koji Kanemoto defending against Dr. Wagner Jr.

Lastly the main event, over the past couple months there has been controversy & confusion over who should challenge IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kensuke Sasaki. Junji Hirata the winner of the 2000 G1 Climax is guaranteed an IWGP Heavyweight Title Match. However Hiro Saito, the man Hirata beat for the G1, was responsible for beating Kensuke Sasaki on 8/9/00 in Hiroshima & feels even though he lost the G1, that he should challenge Kensuke as the main event of 10/9/00 in the Tokyo Dome & that while Hirata by winning the G1 is guaranteed a title match, he was in a different block & never faced Kensuke whereas Saito was in Kensuke's block. There was a poll ran asking who should be granted the title shot & the results are in;

Team 2000 has yet another one of their representatives in a Title match in the Tokyo Dome as it will be Kensuke Sasaki defending the IWGP Heavyweight title against Hiro Saito. The winner will face 2000 G1 Climax champion Junji Hirata on 1/4/01 at Wrestling World 2001.



The remaining matches of Nakanishi/Ohara, Kanemoto/Wagner, Sasaki/Saito & the opening match with Tatsumi Fujinami Vs Osamu Kido will be on the Chukkei the following week on Sat January 30th exclusively on the Fire Pro Club FB Group.

The Next Tour for New Japan is surrounding a 20 match series between G-EGGS (Yuji Nagata Manabu Nakanishi & Yutaka Yoshie) Vs BLACK of Team 2000 Representatives Masahiro Chono, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Scott Norton, Michiyoshi Ohara & Tatsutoshi Goto. They will span the entire tour with the final matches happening on 10/29 with the 20th match being a tag match where if Nagata & Nakanishi are Victorious will earn them a spot in the AJPW Real World Tag League as another team to try to get a shot at The Tag Team Champions of Both AJPW & NJPW Abdullah The Butcher & Giant Kimala along with Chono & Tenzan who are already entered.
