Some News coming out of the 9/2/00 AJPW Show in Nippon Budokan in my King of Colosseum Sim. It was a big night for NJPW Talents.

1. In the 2nd Match of the Night Tumeric Storm Tomoaki Honma & Kazushi Miyamoto put up a good fight after the massive Giant Singh in a handicap match open challenge. But it was the 1/2 of Team 7 from Team 2000 getting the win.
   
2. Takashi Iizuka, whom requested to Riki Choshu about coming to AJPW following his disappointing G1 Climax showing, got a big win over BATT's Taiyo Kea. Iizuka is taking it match by match to build up again & he will be entered into the 8 man Triple Crown Contendership tournament taking place during the October Giant Series where the winner will be challenging The Great Muta for the Triple Crown in Late January 2001 at the Tokyo Dome. He hopes to build momentum there.
   
3. Masahiro Chono got to go 1 on 1 against Masanobu Fuchi & got the win. However the feud between NJPW/Team 2000 & AJPW is far from over as Masanobu Fuchi will be coming to NJPW for the 9/17/00 show at Nagoya Aichi Prefectural Gym. His match TBD however he has also confirmed that Taiyo Kea also will be joining him. We'll find out where they will fit in just after the upcoming Chukkei in Hamamatsu real soon.
   
4. Chono mentioned he was keeping an eye on the main event of the 9/2/00 Budokan Hall show where the 43rd World Tag Team Champions Abdullah The Butcher & Giant Kimala successfully defended their titles against Toshiaki Kawada & Mitsuya Nagai. It has now been made official as Chono & his partner Hiroyoshi Tenzan will defend the IWGP Tag Team Titles against Abdullah & Kimala at the Tokyo Dome 10/9/00.
   

There was uncertainty between the newly created tag team of Satoshi Kojima & Johnny Smith. After being seen as the dark horses of the World Tag Team Title League in July. There was even talk of them disbanding if they didn't win the All Asia Tag team titles. Fortunately they did win to become the 69th Champions & they look to build their chemistry as a team from there.


The next show for AJPW will be the Fall Fan Appreciation Day on 10/8/00 where there will be an 8 team Random Draw Tag Team Tournament featuring;

This Tuesday afternoon will kick off the NJPW Amazing Tour with the "MASAKAZU FUKUDA MEMORIAL SHOW" from Kurobane Town Gymnasium going live & then Next Saturday will be the first Chukkei show of the tour from Hamamatsu City Gymnasium exclusive to the Fire Pro Club FB Group.
