Welcome to the world of OG-FPD: "Orochi Geese FireProWrestling Dream." I created OG-FPD in 2003 using Fire Pro D and the term is now the umbrella world for my e-feds. My current and long time promotion: The Universal Battle League can be found here: My occasional and longer time promotion OG-Joshi can be found here:
"Collider" Tour There's a lot of backstory for the UBL so it's hard to say where to start for those watching for the first time. I would suggest reading the links below to give you some background on the events planned for 2020-2023. "Catalyst" is the first show of 2020. It announced the "Collider" Tour which will run through 2023. This is a thorough explanation of the Collider Tour - specifically the two different parts of it. For a quicker read - there are two different "streams" that make up the Collider Tour: - The Dimensional stream will feature more traditionally booked and presented wrestling events. - The Continuum stream will be a 10-event league with 4 matches per event. The last event of the entire tour, planned for 12/13/2025, will have wrestlers from both streams competing.
RECENT UPDATES This area is for the most recent UBL happenings and will be updated frequently:
Event schedule: "Collider" Tour for 2020-2025. Most recent Event: 10/5/24 - "Continuum VI"Most recent RP: 10/25/24 - "UBL Press Release"

You're welcome, Geese.
I will cherish this almost as much as I cherish the idea that I somehow have more posts than you.

Is it truly difficult to have more posts than Geese? Or is the true hard mode having posted more *words* than Geese?

Universal Access matches have returned! Palido Fantasma vs. Jack MonroeWatch as one-half of El Exilio faces one-half of Destiny leading up to their Universal Battalion Title match in October! That's right, not every match in 2018 will be in a tournament, some will be tournament-adjacent! I spent a few weeks on singles and tag versions of Palido's edit and this is the first public match with his singles version. I think it went really well, but it will set high expectations that I'm pretty sure he won't be able to keep up with!! LOL. This is also Jack's first public match in FPW and other than hitting his rare finisher early, I was really happy with his performance here. Simming for the tag title match has gone well too.

Oh wow this match was really good! I enjoyed the back-and forth in the late match especially, though I felt like it suffered from one too many stretch mufflers. Love that finish!

Oh wow this match was really good! I enjoyed the back-and forth in the late match especially, though I felt like it suffered from one too many stretch mufflers. Love that finish! 100% agreed about the stretch mufflers. I have reduced that taunt -> stretch priority since that match. I created Jack Monroe specifically for tag matches with his "brother" Jeff and just have that one edit so there are some things with his edit a little rough around the edges for singles matches. I have singles and tag versions of Palida though. Very glad you liked the match overall!! I was really surprised that both guys were able to make the comebacks they did. And I thought the match ended in a very decisive way despite Jack looking strong too. So right after I posted that match, I saw in the priority thread that we had more options than I realized. Since then I've been overhauling Palida to give him a few more options. I don't think I've ever overhauled an edit within 24 hours of getting a match the quality that I posted but LOL I just had to give him more priority options! And, like I said, this was a stand out match that wasn't entirely representative of the sims I was getting in general so I'm hoping the new changes make him better overall. I'm definitely getting him to a point I'm happier with. He's tricky cause he started as a prototypical luchadore with a lot of Rey Mysterio Jr influence but then the character/story took him to a very dark place and now he's almost an anti-luchadore but still has some of his "muscle memory" tendencies to do lucha moves that help him out despite not wanting to pop the crowd with him. He's super conflicted about that as well as very hateful in general toward Destiny and UBL. Interesting to watch but not the most fun character to chat with.

I was sitting on this match for two months now and thought I should finally post it to wake UBL up a little! Kurt Sanders vs. Jean DuBreilIt's the third match in the first round of the Universal Circuit Title Tournament. We're not quite at "2008-2010 Battalion" levels yet but I can't say I'm pleased that this tournament has taken like 3 months now when it should have taken about 6 weeks. It's fitting though. The last match of the first round is stillin flux because I never updated Tsaoring Chou for FPW. I'm still using his converted FPR version. Wang is ready ("phrasing") but Chou isn't. I got a few decent sims with them anyway but I feel like I can't quite lean on Chou any more than one match so I either update him (which has been a bigger mountain for me to climb than Chou facing Wang) or job him out so Wang can advance. As for the big UBL picture: In June, I came up with big plans for the next year but I'm not really sure what I'm going to do now. I'm about 2 months behind so I can either condense things or stretch them out further.

Arthur Wingate, Drake Yoshida, Thunder Strike, and Matt Rivers react to Geese's "Threshold" promo. "Banking on Chaos"This is long but I felt it kinda had to be given that UBL has been silent for two months 😬

That Kurt Sanders vs. Jean DuBreil was a fun match... I found myself rooting for Sanders the whole time, primarily because I've enjoyed simming him myself. The flow was really nice though- lots of back and forth, and DuBreil making a run that looked like it might end in a finish before Sanders cut him off and put him away. Still familiarizing myself with a roster that obviously has a ton of history, but another cool match. As for the promo... A lot of fun having everyone try and read the situation, to see if Geese is breaking bad or not. Very curious to see where that goes. Also, am I wrong or is Thunder Strike kinda a dick?

Thanks for the great response!! 😁 That Kurt Sanders vs. The reason I loved this match is for the reasons you stated: the momentum shifts here are beautiful. The match ran a bit longer than I wanted (given that it was a first round in the tournament) but the story it told really entertained me and worked with the RP's leading up to it. Jean was absolutely the dark horse here given his recent return to the ring and lack of singles success. But he made quite a run toward the end and it really looked like he could pull off the upset, only for Kurt to stop him in his tracks with that reliable special.
I'm really glad that you've enjoyed simming Kurt, too! I honestly think he's one of my top 5 edits in FPW. He just clicked really well from the start with his edit reflecting his personality and also achieving an overall competitive balance. Plus I love that "eye rake -> shoulder shrug taunt" 😁
We just have one first round match left (Tsaoring Chou vs. Wang Gom Bu) and then on to the semi-finals where I have one of those matches (Tetsu vs. THRASH) already capped. The Final match is done too. I just have to do a little more work on Chou so I could get a better match than the one I already have. As for the promo... A lot of fun having everyone try and read the situation, to see if Geese is breaking bad or not. Very curious to see where that goes. I'm really glad you enjoyed reading that. This was one of those RP's I finally decided to actually write after having the finer points of the dialogue in my head for two months. It was really long and I appreciate that you took the time to check it out and finish it. I really didn't know how attractive this would be to people, especially given how UBL storylines came back with this huge read after being dormant for two months.
Each character represented one of my own interpretations of what Geese is doing here. I think Matt Rivers was kind of "my" avatar here, actually. However, even I am not 100% sure what Geese's subconscious intentions are right now because I find that I'm discovering them as we get further into the story line.
On that note, Geese's "threshold" promo is one of my favorite things I've ever written for him because that concept has been a big part of my life over the past few years (particularly in regards to the amount of time I spend on Fire Pro!) and I feel like it relayed the sense of balance that the returning Geese is looking for. He's not trying to be a heel anymore but wants to be a pushover even less. He wants to compete for the sake of the value of competition (and to right his legacy) but he also wants to win. He doesn't want to return to old habits but he won't allow anyone to take advantage of that concern and use it against him.
These are all legitimate thoughts but scary when they are coming from him given what he's done over the years, even if he does mean well here. But many in the locker room are concerned he doesn't mean well or is reverting (consciously or unconsciously) to his old and violent Orochi mindset. As for the promo... Also, am I wrong or is Thunder Strike kinda a dick?
You are not wrong. Thunder Strike is very much a dick. At least in the way he comes across. Overall, he's done far more good then bad in his career. But the way he has done it hasn't always been popular. Also, one of the main reasons that he's such a dick (even to faces) is because of the way Orochi Geese practically broke him (using months of chemically induced mind control) and humiliated him in front of the world. He was always kind of a "straight arrow" with a low tolerance for humor shenanigans but he became more of a militant "ends justify the means" kind of guy over the years. That will mean bullying people who are technically on his side but who don't defer to him or agree on logistics.
Thunder literally abducted Matt Rivers (to send him to Geese for training) the night Matt lost the NEXUS Title to Joachim because Thunder was so worried that Destiny (Joachim's stable) was too dangerous to allow to hold the title for long. He's also almost devoid of humor. However, he has a lot of loyalty to his friends and also to UBL. He just has zero people skills with anyone who disagrees on methods.
I first created him as a face foil to Geese but over the years I've come to regard Thunder as a tweener. Fans don't cheer for him and he doesn't play to the fans. He may hold noble intentions as to the overall end result and he's able to appropriately point out real threats. But his "ends justify the means" approach and personality very often causes him to be a bully and the least tolerable person in the room. However, he's an equal to Geese in fighting ability and does have the respect (if not friendship) of a lot of the locker room.
