Eris and Lina only getting the one Inside Wrasslin' honorable mention is a crime. Their match at Renaissance in 2009 absolutely should've gotten the nod too. I think I need to write a letter to the editor about that one.

Super hot promo! Loved the energy and the nostalgic blast!!
Loved this part:

OG-Joshi's "After School Fun Special" March event has been posted! The card is as follows: - EMERGE: Marcelline Louvel vs. River Reade - EMERGE: Gan Saelim vs. Hanako - OG-Joshi Tag Team Championship: Alice Knellwolf/Lucille Aguayo vs. Hellions (c) (c) Here are my non-spoilery thoughts on the show:
I kept this more focused on the matches and wrestlers themselves this time around and didn't include so many zany skits. I still had some fun within the dialogue but felt this was a tighter show than the previous ASFS show. I like how that turned out, especially since it was the first true OG-Joshi show for years so some extra fun felt warranted. But I knew I had to commit to a sleeker show going forward or else this tour would stall. And I didn't want so much focus away from the EMERGE roster members.
It took a little while starting the production of the show. The process of getting the animated GIFS ready and uploaded is kind of boring but once I finished that, things moved along much quicker. I actually wrote the show in just in three nights.
I have a possible different format in mind for handling pics/write-ups in future "studio" shows but I may just keep this current one for the next show in July since it will be last ASFS show. Spring Fling and the 12/13 show will have different formats since they will primarily have video matches so no "cutting from the studio to the ring for the soulless unnamed narrator.
I have an RP to write next but then I'll be working on finishing up Continuum V and then Spring Fling!

It's nice to get more familiar with all these new wrestlers, while also having Jean around for more some comfortably familiar banter and commentary.

Thanks!! I had a lot more fun doing the match write-ups for this show than the last ASFS. I thought leaning more into how their personalities shaped the action helped a lot this time as opposed to worrying so much about "move by move" type of description that required me to list moves that weren't as important to include. I figure that's usually a good strategy anyway - but especially with these new wrestlers. Months/years from now, we won't necessarily remember most of the individual moves of their earlier matches as much as the early aspects of their characters on display. (It's also kind of a challenge since I don't have most of their movesets done! 🤦♂️ )
Jean remains an absolute delight to write for comedically, especially when paired with someone serious like Haley but who also respects Jean for all she's done. Having Robin egg Jean on about Monique was honestly my favorite part of the show to write cause it just built off a decade-long joke 😄 I try to pepper in just the right amount of seriousness for Jean too though as befitting her station as owner. I thought the digression about Alicia was interesting to bring in as I didn't intend the conversation to lead there when I first started writing it. It just kind of went there organically. For Spring Fling, I'll have Jean due "in arena" commentary as opposed to "studio" presentation.
P.S. Also, I fixed the bad tag on that one animated GIF for Gan/Hanako. Somehow that slipped through the cracks on the first pass.
Jean: "I wouldn't say they were bad. They just needed a good talking to."

Gan came to me in really good shape. Knocked had a very strong plan for her edit and character and gave me some guidance as to what type of moves makes the most sense for her. I'm still filling out her moveset but I really like the signatures she has so far. That vertical Chun Li kick looks really cool for her!
Marcelline is going to be one of those long personality evolutions that I started to lay the groundwork for. But I also want to make her edit shine. I wish there was some kind of way to have her edit actually get thrown off by applause but I can't think of an obvious way.
The write-up for the Hellions match took shape last night when I got the GIFS. I had just been using Lucille to soften up Hae-won for some of the bigger moves and noticed Hae-won's arm got tweaked pretty badly. I went with it, thinking it's a cool way to give the new team a moral victory even though they wouldn't win the match. They look super competitive and dangerous now while the Hellions survived one of their toughest challenges of their entire reign. I've never really put them in the position where they were sooo on the defensive there. It's kind of crazy cause they now have a reign that is longer than any of Sun & Moon's individual or aggregate title reigns. But Hae-won may need some time off for injury and, in writing that all, I came up with all sorts of ideas!
