You made a great observation! 💡 Because it opened up a fascinating nexus of alternate realities in my head. Imagine if Holly had gone after promotions like Dragon Isle and SWA. and I talked a lot about potential OG-Joshi/Dragon Isle storylines too. In some ways, Dragon Isle had a proxy competition against OG-Joshi with L.A.W.L. being a nexus (no ubble pun intended 😄) between the two promotions. There was a plan in place to bring Kat Black's top rival, and DI-J's top heel, into OG-Joshi later on. It's really easy for me to imagine a world where Kat's debut attracted Holly (and not Crimson Mask) to her, which led to a war against DI-J rather than L.A.W.L. In fact, if Dhalsimrocks hadn't debuted Juli Krieger, I would never have created Alicia Gordon as the wrestler to get destroyed by her. (That was literally the reason for her creation. It was only later that I decided I wanted to make something of that story to give that "role" an arc and a real personality). I created L.A.W.L. literally as backstory for Alicia Gordon once I wanted to flesh her character out. So no Juli, then no Alicia, and probably no L.A.W.L. No L.A.W.L. then no Ruby Moreno. No Ruby, then certainly no Destiny. In that world, DI-J had a higher likelihood of being on Holly's list and she may have wanted to punish Kat and DI-J for the same reasons she punished Alicia and L.A.W.L. It's fitting you say this too cause I've been writing Continuum IV tonight. In the build up to Jason Hyde vs. Kurt Sanders, I go into a history lesson about how Jason was brought to the UBL and how OG-Joshi, LAWL, and Dragon Isle was involved. Holly deciding to go after Dragon Isle could have really happened. DI-J could have joined forces with L.A.W.L. too. Much like Geese, Holly's eyes for feuds and wars were growing larger than her capacity to wield them. Had Furis not put her in a coma when he did, it's possible she would have declared war against DI-J too. That's... actually probably a really good way to spread oneself too thin and get wrecked by vicious yakuz- I mean lawyers. Definitely lawyers.  And the reason she wouldn't have declared war against SWA is that Geese Walker knew enough about the "underwriters" of each promotion to not mess with them 😎  "] 😄 |

SWA management would like me to remind anyone who might be reading this that SWA is not associated with any organized crime syndicates, and has been Officially Certified Yakuza-Free since 2016. Also that I am just a fan who is not legally associated with the company and they could shut me down for reposting video anytime they feel like it.

UBL has a similar statement but in regards to Gooses.
Drake Yoshida even printed out and prominently displays this customizable sign in his office:
"It has been _4000_ days since our last Goose incident."
For April Fools last year, Luke printed out a sign that said "O" and Drake went CATATONIC! for an hour 😬
Jean then sat everyone down for a seminar on appropriate workplace humor.

I usually divide long RP's into easier digestible bite sized posts, but this time I'm providing it all at once. MJC: "Chew on it slowly, take sensible bites!" "CAWS & Effect" represents a step forward in the background narrative of the deals that UBL and OG-Joshi made to defend against Gauntlet. There's also a lot of interpersonal rivalries and stories involved. This represents me eliminating a storyline excuse for delayed shows. Shedding it is likely presumptuous for me since all the reasons for delays in the past still very much exist. But I feel like this step had to be taken to move the storyline forward beyond the "Gauntlet" era which is done. |

I'd like to think that we have all achieved at least 50% of the plans that we brainstormed in depth about over the years. But then I think of the hours of planning we did, and mb's of messages, we all wrote and I'm not sure that we could have gotten to 50% of the plans 😂 Cross-promotional stories, character stories, dream matches, etc. They all occupy what has become very interesting alternate reality universes by now. Hopefully the main universe has been more interesting! 😎
Last night I was reading some RP's from 2018-19 and was struck by the loose ends I didn't exactly pick up. But once 2020 came along, it was kind of a brute force effort to keep things moving at all and that meant glossing over some of the nuances I had planned. I would really like to revisit some things. The problem is that I don't have the time to RP as much as I want to. Ideally, I'd have enough time for every active wrestler to promo before/after each show and also do the long form RPs for character progression purposes. I am RP'ing in my head all day some fun exchanges between characters and those never get formalized in writing. But the word "ideally" seems to have been forged in a different universe and doesn't belong to the current one. So I do what I can and what my energy/interest at any given time allows for.
I will note that I am one match away from finishing Continuum IV. I also did a lot of booking last week and have a general outline of the show structure for this year (for both promotions) leading to the anniversary show.

Jean Carter and Luke Kisiera enjoy "a bite to beat". Back when I was trying to recruit and come up with enhancement talent for OG-Joshi in the Fall, I had this idea for a wrestler based on a 1950's style diner waitress with a red beehive hairdo. I'm still far from completing her edit but I had so much fun thinking of the exchanges she would have with others in both promotions and the in-house slang she would use for the food names 😄
I still think "Muddy Mae Suggins" is the single greatest fake name that ever came from the Simpsons too 😁 |

Continuum IV has been posted! The card is as follows: Block B: Cosmic K*I*D vs. Wonderland Block C: Corey O'Brian vs. Charles Langford Block A: Kurt Sanders vs. Jason Hyde Block D: Matthew Rivers vs. Bak Fu Rivers vs. Bak Fu is a video match and a real banger 👏 My thoughts: This show had a ton of shenanigans but it was fun to write. I have more video matches planned for future shows and I'm trying to balance storytelling with legit competition. As the league continues (at a hopefully quicker pace) the latter will be focused on more often. I simmed Rivers vs. Bak like 20 times just to get the ending I wanted and every single sim was money. One sim ended like this  😲

He wore a neck brace for an entire year after the Tetsu incident. Even found a way to hide cards in there 😄 Great fun show overall. I'm happy to see the league in motion again. Thanks!! It feels good to resume things and it was fun writing it out. I am going to start paring down the size of the commentary for these shows though just so I can pick up the pace. My goal is to have at least 1 more Continuum show, 1 Dimensional show, and 1 Basic Training show this year before the 12/13 show. I also want to have 3 OG-Joshi shows before 12/13 as well. I think I can do all that if I don't get totally lost in commentary. But while I can cut down some of John Randolph's tendency to analyze and give backstory on UBL shows, it's much harder to limit writing as Jean for the OG-J shows 😄 |

I'm having weird issues viewing the OG-J and UBL site. The formatting is all messed up and the threads are locked. I don't know if it's a Proboards issue or specific to my sites. Or maybe it's just my computer or internet connection.
I'm also having trouble viewing avatars on this site and when I type in the "Preview" pane, it's black text on grey background rather than the white text. Maybe this is just a Proboards issue? Anyone else having these issues?

C!C avatars all seem broken on my phone. But on my computer, only some are broken.
On my phone, UBL and OG-J sites are broken as well.
I don't know if its a proboards issue or an issue with my specific sites or on issue with my connection.
Everything was normal early this morning.
