2020 kinda 2020'd all over a lot of peoples' E-Fedding plans, I think. I hope you're well and taking care of yourself out there in this crazy year, Geese. Yeah, this year did not go as planned! In e-feds or in RL. I'm fortunate to be doing well overall though and really hope that you are too 😎 It's very good to see you around!👋😄

Xander: "Corey! He's back! And he's got sideburns!" Corey: "No, that's a different guy. He probably doesn't have any issues with us."
Xander: "Sorry, I've been feeling weird since Lumpy Martinez gave me thank you brownies."
Corey: "...Just don't drive after eating one, okay?"

For some reason this: Xander: "Corey! He's back! And he's got sideburns!" Makes me think of this: Also, it's very fitting that Corey chimed in on this because there's a part later in the conversation where he's mentioned, specifically in regard to the Agent 1 situation.

Oh also, I made a small update last night to an upcoming card.
Second Dimension

This will either be the next event or will occur after Continuum II.

Just when I finally wrote that "Agency Oversight" story in August to get UBL back in business, another hiatus was forced onto my plate this past month. I'm just going to assume Agent 0 was behind it 😄 The Continuum stream is giving the Universal Battalion league a run for its money in delays! I'm 3/4ths of the way done with Continuum II but I haven't found the time/energy to write the main event. Once I do that, I can move back to the Dimensional stream. I'll start using smaller write-ups after Continuum II just so I can make some progress. My desire to continue UBL is high but it's getting weighed down by my traditional show style. I can't let the means kill the ends. I can't even blame the youtube situation since the truth is that the infinite possibilities of move craft has basically completely frozen my edit making and routine updates over the past two months. I can't even tweak an edit without thinking of a million ways to do it. (*Geese: "Indecisive Battle" 😁 ) So aside from running random leagues in the background, UBL exists entirely in my head right now removed from FPW. That isn't so great for long term motivation (since FPW sims often fuel my e-fed drive) but it does give me some freedom to just focus on storylines and rivalries in the short term to allow me to kickstart it again. One of my feds has gotten a worse deal this year then UBL though. That grand OG-Joshi return just didn't happen at all. I'm going to think about how to make that work for 2021. I had two shows planned for them this year and I'll have to push them both back. The odds of giving them a full OG-FPD Anniversary show in December are incredibly low too. Maybe I'll do a non-canon 12/13 show this year. I've done that before and, well, I think most people would like to forget this year even happened anyway 🤷♂️🤷♀️ * Like no joke - this was basically me last month trying to decide which Oosotogari variant to give Geese:

Looks like there's a fair bit to catch up on!
But yeah, 2020 has been VERY 2020. You'd think going into lockdown would give you MORE time somehow...

Looks like there's a fair bit to catch up on! And I feel like my characters have been doing stuff without me so I have to catch up as well! 😁 But yeah, 2020 has been VERY 2020. You'd think going into lockdown would give you MORE time somehow... You totally hit the nail on the head. If someone would have told me last year that I'd be in lockdown for the majority of the year, I'd be like "Wow, sounds like I'll have time to e-fed again!" But in reality, ever since March, I've been left with much less time and creative energy to work on shows, RP's, and edits. I want so much to keep moving forward with UBL stories though so I'll just have to find a way to focus on what I really want to do even if it means cutting the bulk of shows. As for OG-Joshi, let's hope 2021 is kinder to it 😥 P.S. I have it on good authority that MJC has sent monthly gift baskets to all currently signed OG-J talent 😄

Queen: "Ugh, I hate Cheesecake Factory. Wait... is this lube?" King: "No, I think it's hand sanitizer." Queen: "...Could we use it as lube?" King: "It's mostly alcohol, so it'd burn..." Queen: "So only used on girls we pick up on threesome night." King: "Pretty much, yeah."

I get that for sure, just when you think you have all your plans set up, the dreaded motivational crash hits and it all collapses like a house of cards. In your case, I'd say, just go with the moves you currently have, putting moveset upgrades on pause and make some stuff happen. The nice thing is that you can actually build stories around adding the new moves in the future, even if you change them again. It reminds me of the old days when I'd check up on Puroresu Spirit for my Japanese wrestling news, and I'd read about someone adding a new move, and it always seemed like a big deal character wise.

Queen: "So only used on girls we pick up on threesome night." King: "Pretty much, yeah." MJC: "Luke, I got a thank you note from Kathy Queen but I'm not sure I should...touch it." Luke: "Why not?" MJC: "It says "luv'd your lube" on the front." Luke: "Didn't you send everyone little containers of fruit juice to boost their immune systems?" MJC: " 😳 " Luke: "Haven't you always said there's no wrong way to take your vitamins?" MJC: "That's it - I'm going to sleep until 2021." I get that for sure, just when you think you have all your plans set up, the dreaded motivational crash hits and it all collapses like a house of cards. In your case, I'd say, just go with the moves you currently have, putting moveset upgrades on pause and make some stuff happen. It reminds me of the old days when I'd check up on Puroresu Spirit for my Japanese wrestling news, and I'd read about someone adding a new move, and it always seemed like a big deal character wise. That really is an excellent idea and it's my favorite kind - the practical one that helps me move forward 👍 I like the occasional move updates in the future too since that actually works perfectly with the King's Road style UBL has and the way I have built edits in the past. Adding a new move or giving them a significant upgrade from one move to a bigger version can have more meaning as a result. It's better that I keep enjoying the game than staying frozen in the face of all the possibilities of improvement to the extent that I'm not even opening edit mode. I'd rather keep slowly tweaking my edits than attempt to modernize them all and lose all motivation and enjoyment in the process. If I have specific ideas, that's one thing. But I can't rehaul everyone and think of every possible combination of new moves and priorities! I just don't have the time or energy to be able to fit that type of planning and move making in. I can't be all or nothing with this, especially when I was enjoying my edits before Move Maker came out. Thanks for the great advice - I'm going to take it to heart and go back to regular tweaks and edit building 😎

The second event of the Universal Champions League and first show back from hiatus is now finally posted!! Continuum IIBlock B: Wonderland vs. Thomas Mills Block A: Kurt Sanders vs. Wang Gom-Bu Block C: Tetsu Gushiken vs. THRASH Ogawa Block D: Matthew Rivers vs. Kazuo Saji After this one I'll be going with shorter events with summary matches rather than play by play. I just wanted to go big on this as it was the first show in five months! The next event will be from the Dimensional stream and hopefully be done way before Thanksgiving! (otherwise Pot Belly may have to be involved 🍗)
