Increase the game speed if you want a more difficult experience, random input cancellation for greater challenge is a bad idea; especially since it can become a situation where your inputs are being ignored multiple times in a row. If that's still too easy then congratulations, you've mastered the game. Only solution to that is finding a way to play MP with other players who are as skilled as you are; it's how mastery works in every video game. In fact, that's the basis of competitive multiplayer in general; maybe start an online competitive MP league using streaming services like Parsec?

In fact, that's the basis of competitive multiplayer in general; maybe start an online competitive MP league using streaming services like Parsec? It simply just gives the option. That's all. Just because it's there, it doesn't mean anyone has to use it. Anytime i feel myself mastering level 10, i usually stop playing for a while, or switch the speed as you say which drops me back down to level 8. I try not to let myself get to the point of "mastering" lol. In returns, i mastered level 10 and it was still fun to play but after a while i fell off of the game in general. I'm trying to keep myself in that 8-9 range. If my inputs are ignored multiple times in a row, then it simply adds to the difficulty. I wouldn't get frustrated, it simply makes me want to play more knowing that it's a big challenge.

It's possible, but it's not worth it long run. There's a difference between difficulty and unresponsiveness. This would just feel like the later.

Would it be possible to add "Sliding to the ropes" to lower difficulties? This would allow a combination of the both "longer submissions" at lower levels and "sliding to the ropes" at high levels being discussed in the Denizen/Carlzilla Edit Guide Thread.

Or maybe there could be a mod for longer submission duration at high level, so you get all the good bits of high difficulty levels and the one good part of low difficulty levels? ๐

That wouldn't work.
The game breaks submissions holds using presses on the d-pad/left stick, the game processes movement when crawling to the ropes by holding breathe and pressing ONE direction on the d-pad/left stick.
The d-pad press that inches a wrestler towards the ropes, also counts towards breaking the hold. The lower levels don't disable the mechanic, they just make button presses infrequent enough that the movement is not (or barely) noticeable. Once you speed up button presses the movement becomes more visible, but the submission hold will be broken faster because they share the same button press and buttons are being pressed more frequently.

[ Thanks for the clarification, Carl - though I thought submissions were broken by mashing the d-pad/rotating the analog stick?

just by d-pad button presses, the game gives not one shit which direction you press. Rotating/Mashing is just the fastest way to press lots of them.

So there's a higher chance of escaping using both the d pad and the analog stick at the same time? Or a better chance of getting the required amount of button presses?

I guess. I've never tried that.
It can only register one button press per frame, so rotating is probably all you need to do since as long as the stick isn't in the neutral position, or the same position as last time it polled for a press, it registers as a new button press.

Is there or can you make a mod to copy and paste logic from one wrestler to another. I made a template I want all my feds wrestlers to use while I adjust from there. Is there a mod where i can copy and paste logic over to them, i spent a lot of time on appearance and dont want to recreate them or the logic. its a lot to move over.
