The Professor's Guide to the 2024 Pan African Tour By Professor Mark Gizenga Professor Gizenga: Hello, I am your teacher for this session, I am Professor Mark Gizenga, expert in agricultural science and also in catch wrestling! I am here on behalf of World Wrestling Daily Digest to make the Pan African Tour easy for you to understand! I promise I will not take long, so there is no need to copy off each other's answers or hold any study groups. So we first have this very handy schedule to let you know where we will go and when we will go there, pay attention so you do not have to ask any questions later! Gizenga: We start in Cairo with the PEWA, and the beginning of Block A in the Pan African Cup. From there, we have our first non-televised house show in Tunis, Tunisa, home of the greatest flash pinner in the world, Ibrahim Rahman. Gizenga: It is then that we travel to Dakar, Senegal for the TIPWF and the start of Block B in the Cup. This is followed up by a house show in Doala, Cameroon in Lanna Ndi's homeland, where she learned how to become unstoppable in Kyokushin Karate! Gizenga: The third major stop is in Gaborone, Botswana, with Lightning Pro and quarterfinals for both Block A and B as things get more exciting. After that, we travel to the island to go to Antananarivo, Madagascar with the Moraingy Maniac, Wesley Rakoto for the next house show. Gizenga: Our last regular event of the tour is in a place near and dear to my heart, the home of me, and my university, in Kinshasa! Here, we have the semi-finals for the Pan African Cup and we join with UCSS! Our leader, the Pan African Ambassador made sure our last house show is back to his own turf in Lagos, Nigeria. Gizenga: Finally, at the end of September, we make it to Kampala, Uganda for the Pan African Finale! We will see King Bemba travel to his native soil to defend his Victorious Medal while he challenges Ajax for the Senatorial Office Number One Ranking, both championships on the line in one match! We have the Pan African Cup finale here! We have the Pan African Tag Cup play out in one single night here! We will have much more, but I do not yet know what else will be in store, so I remind you all to stay focused and take your notes! Tour Schedule Stop #1: PEWA - Cairo, Egypt - 8-30-2024 Stop #2: House Show 1: Tunis, Tunisia - TBA Stop #3: TIPWF - Dakar, Senegal - 9-6-2024 Stop #4: House Show 2: Douala, Cameroon - TBA Stop #5: L-Pro: Gaborone, Botswana - 9-13-2024 Stop #6: House Show 3: Antananarivo, Madagascar - TBA Stop #7: UCSS: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo - 9-20-2024 Stop #8: House Show 4: Lagos, Nigeria - TBA Stop #9: Pan African Finale: Kampala, Uganda - 9-27-2024 Gizenga: Here, I have the seeds and the home nations for all our wonderful competitors! I know that I am personally cheering for my fellow Congolese diaspora competitor, The Beat, Lilou Ibara, but you can choose who you want to support! The brackets are below, so if you want a step up on the bookings, just look down there and you will know well ahead of time what's going to happen! Pan African Cup 2024 #1 Seed: Ibrahim Rahman (Tunisia) #2 Seed: Moustahpa Ndour (Senegal) #3 Seed: Lanna Ndi (Cameroon) #4 Seed: Lilou Ibara (France/Democratic Republic of Congo) #5 Seed: Djibril Ba (Senegal) #6 Seed: Onika Santos (Brazil/Angola) #7 Seed: Esther Musambi (Kenya) #8 Seed: Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi (Nigeria) #9 Seed: Warsan Caaliah Ali (Somalia) #10 Seed: Yetunde Oya (Benin) #11 Seed: Mohammad Ramses (Egypt) #12 Seed: Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun (Namibia) #13 Seed: Innocent Mugisha (Rwanda) #14 Seed: Wesley Rakoto (Madagascar) #15 Seed: Anwar Omar (Somalia) #16 Seed: Killer King Jones ("Eritrea"(Philadelphia)) Bracket Block A -#1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #16: Killer King Jones -#8 Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi vs. #9 Warsan Caaliah Ali -#4 Lilou Ibara vs. #13 Innocent Mugisha -#5 Djibril Ba vs. #12 Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun Block B -#2 Moustapha Ndour vs. #15 Anwar Omar -#7 Esther Musambi vs. #10 Yetunde Oya -#3 Lanna Ndi vs. #14 Wesley Rakoto -#6 Onika Santos vs. #11 Mohammad Ramses Gizenga: And here is the Pan African Tag Cup lineup! Four amazing teams, fan favorites, Shaka Zulu from South Africa reunite for the Tag Cup! Layla Al-Amin has maybe thirty teams she could enter, but she chose the classic here with the Black Star Cyclones and Esi Dogboe! The Botswanan Bombers have won before, and they are here to scare everyone else again, I know I am very afraid of them! Finally, we have the upstarts, our chippy underdogs with Ayanda and Djeneba Koumane headed over, a team formed in the Blackwood Academy of Phoenix Rising, and two ladies who I think will be strong in UCSS in the future. Pan African Tag Cup 2024 Shaka Zulu (Shaka Corbin(South Africa)(Rose Garden) and Zulu Lionheart(South Africa)) Black Star Cyclones (Layla Al-Amin(Egypt)(Phoenix Rising) and Esi Dogboe(Ghana) Botswanan Bombers (Thunder Fist(Botswana)(ZIP Japan) and FENYANG(Botswana)) Ayanda/Djeneba (Ayanda(South Africa) and Djeneba Koumane(Ivory Coast))(Phoenix Rising) Gizenga: Thank you everyone for your attention, I hope that I have covered everything that you wanted to know about this year's Pan African Tour, and I hope that you'll pay attention to us all the way through! Senatorial Office Roster Updates for August '24 By Kevin "The Internet" Anderson Kevin Anderson: The Senatorial Office has decided to undertake a big mid-year roster shuffle between the end of Mid-Year Lariats and the start of the Pan African Tour. There have been a number of notable transactions here, and I'll break them down briefly in this World Wrestling Daily Digest first to press early exclusive. Anderson: To begin with, the PEWA has decided to do right by the veteran Railjumpers, sending them to the TIPWF, a promotion historically friendly to older wrestlers, and a place to reunite Jumpin' Jim Malone with his protege, Local Larry. They also dispatched Marcus Xavier there, with Mr. Moonsault once again unable to set roots in any fed. Inward, the PEWA welcomes the entire NBNF stable, a group with a deep history with PEWA President Bodybreaker Brown. I think the PEWA came out far ahead with these moves, letting a low end team and one of the most mercurial people in the business go and bringing in a group that is almost custom made for the Philly hardcore scene. The X-Treme Kid may not be getting any younger, but he can still reliably work with anyone and has a few top end years left and the rest of NBNF are a net positive. Anderson: The TIPWF has been bolstered not just by the PEWA exports, but also by gaining UCSS's Agile Warriors, a team that could be absolutely devastating in a promotion better suited to their fast pace. They send out a large amount of talent, though, with the P.A.C. mostly departing for free agency as Steve Phillips looks to de-anchor himself from any single promotion, Byron Worthy takes his talents to UCSS and ARENA return to L-Pro. Also, of note, Generalissimo Kool Q leaves the Cogburn Ranch for UCSS in a move that I certainly didn't see coming. All in all, a massive loss for the TIPWF, even if Phillips, Kalb or DeWalt still occasionally show up again, the P.A.C's departure far outweighs the gains of Mr. Moonsault for the upper card and the Railjumpers for the tag and Old Guard scenes. Moonsault has a lot to prove and hopefully can do so against the heavy hitters in the Lone Star contender list. Anderson: L-Pro regains ARENA and makes the return of the Muscle Machines official, even if they didn't really ever leave. Outgoing are NBNF as a whole and the D-Train founding duo of the D-Team. ARENA are wildly popular and should be routed instantly into challenging Pure Gold for the Victorious Tag Medals, and re-signing the Machines was a strong enough move. These are fairly neutral set of transactions for the most loaded promotion in the Office, cutting underutilized talent and declining veterans to shore things up, the D-Team might actually be better now with a leaner, meaner core and NBNF were spinning their wheels for a long while. Anderson: Unsurprisingly, UCSS was fairly static, adding in a workhorse in Showtime Byron Worthy and what looks like a surprise teaming between the inbound Kool Q and Hakim Fields, a move that hopefully salvages the decorated career of the 52 Blocks legend. The Agile Warriors leave on a high note as Onika Santos scored a knockout win for the team in their last UCSS match, but the UCSS tag division was already close to overloaded and the duo will almost certainly be better off in the TIPWF. Anderson: In closing, the PEWA had the best showing of the window, bringing in a much-needed talent infusion to a depleted roster and sending out older and underperforming talent, while the TIPWF had an abysmal last place ranking here, losing top end talent while they took on the PEWA's scraps. Transactions PEWA In: NBNF(X-Treme Kid, Emerald Santiago, Taylor Nguyen, DUDE Smith, Gray Thomas) PEWA Out: Mr. Moonsault, Railjumpers(Jayne Payne, Jumpin' Jim Malone TIPWF In: Mr. Moonsault, Railjumpers(Jayne Payne, Jumpin' Jim Malone), Agile Warriors(Onika Santos, Anatoly Shkuro) TIPWF Out: The P.A.C.(Steve Phillips, Anthony Kalb, Kevin Fitsharris, ARENA(Rena LeBlanc, Arisa Hashimoto), Showtime Byron Worthy(Warrior Pro), Christine DeWalt, Monica Tesfaye), Generalissimo Kool Q L-Pro In: ARENA(Rena LeBlanc, Arisa Hashimoto), Muscle Machines(Gary Gear, Adonis Avery Alexander) L-Pro Out: NBNF(X-Treme Kid, Emerald Santiago, Taylor Nguyen, DUDE Smith, Gray Thomas)NBNF(X-Treme Kid, Emerald Santiago, Taylor Nguyen, DUDE Smith, Gray Thomas), D-Train(D-Man Daunte Thomas, Freight Train McMichaelson) UCSS In: Showtime Byron Worthy(Warrior Pro), Generalissimo Kool Q UCSS Out: Agile Warriors(Onika Santos, Anatoly Shkuro)

The Pan African Tour starts off with the PEWA joining up in Cairo, Egypt with Ibrahim Rahman returning to action in the main event to go up against PEWA legend Killer King Jones for one of four Pan African Cup opening bouts. In addition, NBNF officially joins the PEWA roster in a massive four on four match against their former teammates in Mr. and Mrs. Brown along with the Warbringer, Demarcus Browning and Tomas. The PEWA Ruler of the Road is also defended as always with a rematch between Masked Maniac IV and the EMP as the latter looks to regain the belt he lost in a monumental upset. Fast Eddie's Quick Brackets: Pan African Cup '24 -By "Fast" Eddie Edison Up for some September Madness? That doesn't have quite the same ring to it, but I'm hard up against my deadline as usual and I have sixteen wrestlers to parse through here, so that's what you're going to get, and you're going to like it. This year's Pan African Cup is going all out with an expanded field, and that means I have to put in a shift before Kevin Anderson comes calling, and with the hangover I'm nursing, you're not getting any verbose prose out of me here... Opening Round Block A #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #16: Killer King Jones This COULD be a major upset by the retiree, I wouldn't count Jones out, he was on one of the legitimate best runs of his post-prime career this year, but Rahman was Numero Uno and will win this however he wants. #8 Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi vs. #9 Warsan Caaliah Ali This might be a close call, but I think the Pan African Ambassador's experience wins out and Air Nigeria drops on the Somali Pirate to move Mehrmohammdi along. #4 Lilou Ibara vs. #13 Innocent Mugisha Ibara's lost one singles match so far in the Office, and as much of a leap as Mugisha's taken since graduating from the L-Pro Dojo, he's getting his can kicked here all over the place. #5 Djibril Ba vs. #12 Lucia Shikongo-CalhounUpset time! Djibril Ba is going to be a major player in the future, but unlike SNK, the future's not now, and Lucia's submission game is going to be the decider if this goes past twelve minutes. Block B #2 Moustapha Ndour vs. #15 Anwar Omar The Warbringer wins this easy, no questions. #7 Esther Musambi vs. #10 Yetunde OyaI think they'll play rock paper scissors to decide who goes on to represent the Royal Court, and Oya is more likely to win that game. #3 Lanna Ndi vs. #14 Wesley Rakoto Lanna's knocking his ass out, period. #6 Onika Santos vs. #11 Mohammad RamsesRamses might not have done much lately, but he's too big and good for Santos. He'll keep her grounded and that'll keep him in the driver's seat. Quarterfinals Block A #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #8 Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi Absolute nightmare matchup for Mehrmohammdi, Rahman eats him for lunch and waits for seconds. #4 Lilou Ibara vs. #12 Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun Nice upset to begin for Lucia, but the Green River owner's not going to get past Ibara's sheer force of will and dynamic energy. Block B #2 Moustapha Ndour vs. #10 Yetunde OyaOk, I originally went with Ndour here, too big, too good. But that's boring. And Moustapha Ndour always seems to find a way to lay an egg in big tournaments, so why not give Oya this one? She's trickier than Loki and grittier than Lava soap and has walked away from moves that would have put a prime Ibushi on the shelf for months. She's not the smart pick, but she's my pick anyway. #3 Lanna Ndi vs. #11 Mohammad Ramses Ndi is going to be on a mission in this one, and while Ramses should be able to shut down Onika Santos by outgrappling her, he's cruisin' for some rib bruisin' by trying that against Ndi, who loves to walk right into her opponent and rattle off strikes to the body. He'll be a sitting target for that and she'll go onto the next round. Semifinals Block A #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #4 Lilou IbaraAnd here's where it gets real hot! Rahman coasts through the first few rounds, but Lilou Ibara'll be picking up momentum and will avoid getting flash pinned before she lands some big kicks to rattle Rahman and counters him for a finish. She couldn't get the best of Lance Marshall, but that man isn't just one of the best of the decade, but he's also built like a giant slab of Texan beef. Rahman's less immovable and she'll be able to work here, and Ibara's already proven that if you give her a chance, she can ramp up and outwork anyone. Block B #10 Yetunde Oya vs. #3 Lanna NdiMuch as I wanted to pick Oya again, it wasn't happening again. Ndi brutalizes her with Kyokushin carnage and rampages onto the finals. Finals #4 Lilou Ibara vs. #3 Lanna NdiWe have a repeat winner for the second year in a row! Lanna Ndi takes it personal remembering how badly Larry Washington crushed her with that punch to the back of the skull and takes it out on Ibara, giving her no chance to get away from her constant attacks, and hits the knockout kick to win in an exciting but deceptively one sided match. And there you have it, the whole kit and kaboodle, the start to the finish, sixteen people down to one Pan African Cup champion for 2024. Now if only some investors could finally bring AAW back again and this headache could go away...well, anyway, that's it for now, you got the picks you want at the speed you need and this is "Fast" Eddie signing off.

[Two Thumbs Up] A great start to the Pan African Tour, and even more, to the Pan African Cup. The Cup kicked off with four good to excellent matches, getting the absolute best out of perennial main eventers, promising prospects and retiree guests alike. The rest of the card entertained well with a very good match between the duo of Asylum and the legendary Storm of the Century, NBNF's PEWA debut was as chaotic as you'd expect and the surprise first showing for Chinese powerhouse Li Zhu was effective. All in all, I was entertained and both Pan Africa and PEWA fans should be pleased after sitting through this one. In fact, the only person in the audience who comes away from this one unhappy would likely be our very own Fast Eddie Edison. Hey Eddie, how's it feel to have your entire bracket busted on the first night of the Cup? -Tom S. Hunter RESULTS Pan African Tour 2024 #1: PEWA in Cairo, Egypt - 8-30-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, August 30th in Cairo, Egypt Bonus Match Brickhouse Thelonious with Killer King Jones vs. Professor Mark Gizenga with Lilou Ibara What exactly is wrong with Brickhouse Thelonious? With an exhausted Killer King Jones supporting his successor at ringside and Lilou Ibara in Professor Gizenga's, Thelonious found himself unable to trouble the scholar, even finding himself at one point on the receiving end of his own short arm spinebuster. And while Thelonious would answer with a Brickhouse Buster of his own, it was too little, too late, and Professor Gizenga would win with an arm trapping rolling clutch for the pin. Brickhouse Thelonious showed immense promise when he arrived in the PEWA, but it seems that the prospect may have to retool before he finds himself in a hole too deep to dig out of. Main Event: Pan African Cup Block A #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #16: Killer King Jones Only a little over eleven minutes, but this match felt like a full on epic with the recently retired Killer King Jones pulling out all the stops, looking like a million bucks against the erstwhile Senatorial Office Number One Ranked Ibrahim Rahman, hitting several Eritrean Head Cannons and coming scarily close to blasting out the former face of the organization before Rahman came through in his usual clutch fashion, locking in a stump puller stretch to submit the PEWA legend and move forward in the Pan African Cup. A match that wasted none of its time and left a lasting impression, a true delight for the Cairo audience as well as the PEWA fans watching from overseas. Unsanctioned Match: Asymmetric Crew Carnage Masked Maniac IV, Jasper Rhys(Neutral Ground) and the Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) vs. The New Mutants(The EMP, PM Carnage and Bingo Hall Betty) Originally scheduled as the regular PEWA Ruler of the Road defense, a rematch between the new champion, Masked Maniac IV and the EMP turned into a one sided beatdown as Bingo Hall Betty and the PEWA Extreme Champion, PM Carnage jumped into the ring to attack the Maniac. Jasper Rhys waved to the back and then the Bingo Hall Mutants made their way down to the ring while referee Kemo Diouf bailed, leading to an unsanctioned four on five Crew Carnage elimination tornado brawl. The New Mutants were able to keep this even for a time, EMP hitting his rib breaking running powerslam on the Maniac. The numbers game would eventually catch up with the New Mutants as the Maniac hit a flying double team leapfrog DDT on the EMP to pin him once again, Rhys would submit Betty with a manjigatame and PM Carnage would tap out suspiciously quickly to a cobra crossface from Rhys to finish the match. The New Mutants may hold the PEWA Extreme title and the PEWA Extreme Tag belts, but they found themselves outmatched here again due to their unsportsmanlike impulses. Pan African Cup Block A #8 Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi vs. #9 Warsan Caaliah Ali A match that started very badly for the Pan African Ambassador, busted open almost immediately and having to fight off a Captain's Hook in the opening minutes, but Mehrmohammdi was able to survive long enough to mount something of a comeback before Warsan Caaliah Ali smashed him in the face with an actual sledgehammer to score the pinfall. One thing is for sure after this one; Warsan Caaliah Ali is unafraid to use any tactics necessary to advance in the Pan African Cup. NBNF PEWA Debut NBNF(The X-Treme Kid, DUDE Smith, Emerald Santiago and "Total MDK" Taylor Nguyen) vs. Bodybreaker Brown, Downtown Lucy Brown, Tomas the Tiny Giant and Demarcus Browning(Rose Garden) NBNF's debut in the PEWA after the last transaction window was always going to be a chaotic mess with their contentious history with PEWA President Bodybreaker Brown. Brown and his wife, Downtown Lucy both were founding members of the group once named No Blood, No Fun, and were booted from the stable, and from Wacker Drive Revival as a whole with the X-Treme Kid asserting his own image for what would be shortened to NBNF with a focus on the XTK's D-X nostalgia as well as bringing in more talent from the XTK Backyard Battle promotion. Now, looking to rebuild his own roster and seeing a large stable full of compatible wrestlers, the Bodybreaker made the choice to take NBNF into the PEWA, with the knowledge that the old feud would first have to be settled. As it was, this was exactly as messy as one would have expected, both sides making the most of the tag rules and long extended phases out of the ring, and notably, Bodybreaker Brown would toss Taylor Nguyen off the top turnbuckle to the floor, New Jack style at one point. The finish took away from the rest of the match with Tomas bizarrely hitting Nguyen with a bionic elbow and then inexplicably pinning the X-Treme Kid for the three. A terrible finish only mitigated by the usual weirdness that is Tomas, and the over the top damage dealt at the hands of the PEWA President leading into the end. Pan African Cup Block A #4 Lilou Ibara vs. #13 Innocent Mugisha One of the biggest upsets of the year took place here with Innocent Mugisha raising his level up immensely to keep Lilou Ibara off balance for much of this competitive match, surviving some of her best moves to land a monumental german suplex hold to get the three count. Mugisha has been making a strong case for his status as the undisputed fourth pillar of L-Pro's future and this might be his best argument to date. Dynasty Cyclones(Layla Al-Amin(Phoenix Rising) and Nefertiri with Mohammad Ramses) vs. Neon Knights(Supernaut and Hija de Holy Diver with Holy Diver) A decent well-paced encounter that saw some good exchanges between Layla Al-Amin and Supernaut but ended early after Hija de Holy Diver knocked Nefertiri out with her diving headbutt, Fall From Grace. For most other tag competitors, this would have spelled disaster but for Al-Amin, this just makes her next choice of partner somewhat easier. Pan African Cup Block A #5 Djibril Ba vs. #12 Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun The first Pan African Cup match of the Tour set an exceptionally high standard to meet going forward with Djibril Ba and Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun giving everything they had to this one. The Senegalese Batista opened an early lead here with his power, but Shikongo-Calhoun was able to hold on, playing the long game to set up her submission based style later on. Both showed incredible determination in the last phase of the match, both able to thwart the other's best moves but Djibril Ba managed to pull off the win after one last pickup powerbomb into the pinfall. A great match, one of the best of the year and a career starting showing for Djibril Ba. Asylum(The Form and Dr. Trace Gibson) vs. Storm of the Century(Wataru Nakajima and Thunder Fist)(ZIP Japan) A wild, violent match that made the absolute best out of all four participants, Nakajima's classical strong style approach, Dr. Gibson's cerebral targeted attacks, The Form's bloody ultraviolence and most of all, Thunder Fist's unrelenting concussive force. This lead to a quality tag encounter that would see Storm of the Century emerge victorious after Thunder Fist put The Form down for a three count after his crushing KTFO Punch. Storm of the Century have been a persistent presence on the Tour every time out, and once again left their mark here in Cairo. Bonus Match: Li Zhu Debut Match "Emperor and Ruler of the World" Li Zhu vs. Neil Guangzhou's towering powerhouse, Li Zhu was seen as a can't-miss prospect, dominating in promotions in his home city, Beijing, Singapore and in a brief stint, India's Amaron Ka Ahkaada. Zhu proclaims himself to be the Emperor and Ruler of the World and now looks to prove his words on a tour of the PEWA, TIPWF and L-Pro to show off his imposing power. Zhu made short work of ENHANCE's Neil, finishing his hapless opponent short of six minutes in with a cobra clutch slam into the pin. --- Match of the Night: Rahman vs. Jones, Ba vs. Shikongo-Calhoun -The Pan African Cup would shine on this night, and the main event status of Ibrahim Rahman and Killer King Jones proved wise as the former Number One Ranked star and the Philly hardcore legend went above and beyond, Jones's retirement perhaps giving him the rest and motivation to give Rahman everything he could handle. Likewise, Djibril Ba and Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun each exhibited an extraordinary degree of stubbornness in their struggle, a match that bolstered the reputation of both in the process. Performance of the Night: Innocent Mugisha -A gigantic win for the Endo Shogunate's youngest member, with the Rwandan upstart scoring a massive upset over former TIPWF Lone Star contender Lilou Ibara. --- Injury Report Neferiri: Mild Concussion (Two Month Medical Suspension) -A diving headbutt from Hija de Holy Diver ended the night for Nefertiri, and tragically, also ended her Tour as a whole, with a two month break from action imposed by the medical staff. --- Pan African Cup Update Block A Semifinals #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #9 Warsan Caaliah Ali -Rahman's expected but surprisingly dramatic win over Killer King Jones punched his ticket to face Warsan Caaliah Ali, who won a definitive victory over Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi in a slight upset for a match between the middle seeds of #8 and #9. Rahman will again be the heavy favorite, but Ali's unpredictable approach could keep him off balance. #5 Djibril Ba vs. #13 Innocent Mugisha Djibril Ba and Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun stole the show with their impressive encounter, but Ba was able to move along to face a surprising foe in Innocent Mugisha, who defeated the #4 seeded Lilou Ibara to clinch his spot in the next round. Ba's straight forward power could be tested even more here against Mugisha's misdirection and endurance.

Digital Dave Doolittle: Just as I covered UCSS's tour of Japan, I'm now on board to give you my first hand recaps of the Pan African Tour's house show stops. If you want my signature reviews for the main events of the Tour, you'll have to sign up for the unbeatable deal of $4.99 a month to become a World Wrestling Daily Digest Insider. However, we here at WWDD still believe that this coverage is important enough to share with the general public and are generous enough to give you these house show recaps on the house. Pan African Tour 2024 #2: Tunis, Tunisia (House Show) 9-2-2024 September 2nd in Tunis, Tunisa Ibrahim Rahman and Black Star Cyclones(Layla Al-Amin(Phoenix Rising) and Esi Dogboe) vs. Mr. Moonsault and the New Congolese Connection(Lilou "The Beat" Ibara and Professor Mark Gizenga) [Dave's Match Notes] -Rahman asked for his home to receive a special matchup in the main event, and got one here, getting to team with the Black Star Cyclones against Marcus Xavier and the New Congolese Connection -Fast, fast, fast out of the gates, too much going on to recap, Layla hitting a team boosted cutter being especially spectacular. -Moonsault wanted to slug it out with Rahman, and didn't do half bad at it. -Ibara stole Dogboe's inverted pedigree around twelve minutes in. -Ibara almost pinned Rahman after a Needle Drop inverted facelock leg drop into her Swing the Beat elbow drop. -Lilou Ibara pinned Ibrahim Rahman after a Swing the Beat elbow drop at 17:55 [Summary] A match that didn't let anybody take a breath, a sprint from beginning to end which also meant that nobody had a chance to shine in the exchanges. Not my favorite of the night, and while it wasn't terrible, I expect more from a main event with these names involved. [77%] "Emperor and Ruler of the World" Li Zhu vs. String Bean [Dave's Match Notes] -I don't know what possessed Mehrmohammdi to book String Bean on the Tour, especially against Li Zhu, but there we were. -Usual String Bean antics early on, getting countered at everything. -Zhu using grounded bearhugs and got a near fall off a military press front powerslam around six minutes, I recall that was the original World's Strongest Slam. -Groin kick from String Bean was the first offense he landed, but Zhu answered with a chokeslam leading to the pinfall at 9:55. [Summary] String Bean against another big guy was destined to be abysmal and it was. [65%] Tough Guys(Anwar Omar and The Equalizer) vs. Bemba's Royal Court(FENYANG and Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi) [Dave's Match Notes] -Ali wanting again to get some action on the Tour now that his Pan African Cup hopes were dashed, giving FENYANG his first stop as he waits for his Pan African Tag Cup time at the Pan African Finale along with Thunder Fist -Equalizer brought a chair into the ring but otherwise a pedestrian opening from both sides. -Ali pulled off some nice moves around the fifteen minute mark, including a cobra clutch and a crossface hold while Anwar Omar started locking in grounded side headlocks in this phase. -Air Nigeria whiffed around twenty two minutes in, but FENYANG was able to hit a pedigree on the Equalizer in the aftermath to score the pinfall at 22:39. [Summary] A slow starter that picked up nicely when both sides started getting serious. FENYANG again takes it to another level when the Tour starts. [92%] Local Larry vs. Renate Barlowe [Dave's Match Notes] -Local Larry flew a Tunisan flag behind him as he entered the ring, and to reasons I don't get, the fans seemed to buy into him being one of theirs here. -Larry outworked Barlowe fairly roundly in the early minutes, conservatively controlling the pace. -Larry hit several diving elbows, dropkicks sending Barlowe out of the ring and a wheelbarrow pancake as the match approached the ten minute mark. -Barlowe hit several kicks to the groin and started working the leg far too late. -Larry hit Barlowe with the Go Home Driver backdrop lift to piledriver to score the pinfall at 11:26 [Summary] Fairly one-sided, but Local Larry's charisma had the fans eating out of his hand and to be fair, I started buying in near the end, with some fairly impressive offense landing in the finishing stretch. [86%]

The second major stop on the Pan African Tour arrives in Dakar, Senegal with the TIWPF along for the ride. Djibril Ba returns to his homeland in a potentially explosive non-title bout against the Dominican Golden Champion, Salvador Sosa, while Moustapha Ndour receives his own homecoming in the B Block of the Pan African Cup. Along with Ndour, Bemba's Royal Court face an internal contest to decide who moves on with Esther Musambi and Yetunde Oya facing off, the hard hitting Lanna Ndi returns to the ring and Onika Santos makes her TIPWF roster debut in the Cup against Mohammad Ramses. Also, the first direct conflict between TIPWF Lone Star champ, Lance Marshall and future contender Beau Ramirez will be found in trios action, Mr. Moonsault arrives in the TIWPF and Team 12 take on the ever-difficult challenge of the Exotico World Order. [One Thumb Up] This was a borderline show for me between an up or a down rating, much of what went down ranged from forgettable to competent, with few highs and an inordinate number of knockouts and injuries. Most of you out there know how much I hate those, as that just means that you lose talent for the near future and narratives get upended in an abrupt fashion. It doesn't lead to satisfying conclusions for the most part, and it's the biggest reason I rip on UCSS every month. It also didn't help that the Block B side of the Pan African Cup was the polar opposite of Block A's consistent fireworks. So, in any case, I was readying myself to dumpster this show with a down thumb, until Djibril Ba and Salvador Sosa utterly saved it with a rip-roaring thrill ride of a match. If this is what we have to look forward to from Ba, he'll be the next big star in the Office. If this is what Sosa will be bringing on a regular basis, this could be one of the greatest comebacks since HBK's 2000s era revival. Check out the main event for certain, and if you have the time, the rest is fine, but far from essential. -Tom S. Hunter RESULTS Pan African Tour 2024 #3: TIPWF in Dakar, Senegal 9-6-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, September 6th in Dakar, Senegal Li Zhu Test Match "Emperor and Ruler of the World" Li Zhu vs. Colision A big step up for the Guangzhou Titan, but unfortunately for Li Zhu, Colision was able to wear her larger opponent down, surviving a painful beatdown on the outside to re-emerge and land a running crossbody to score the upset win over the vaunted prospect. Zhu certainly has the potential to be a major star, but this match also proved that he has a lot of work to do before he can live up to his hype from the independent scene. Main Event: Senegalese Homecoming "Senegalese Batista" Djibril Ba vs. Salvador Sosa Sensational, electric showing from both men in a match that stood out not just for the night, but was perhaps the best Office bout since Mid-Year Lariats. Djibril Ba threw himself into this match with a quiet intensity and made his home audience proud as he took Salvador Sosa's best shot and kept coming forward and came close to his own win after a thunderous Batista Bomb. Sosa, though, relied upon his superior experience, remaining focused and was able to hit an unprettier style double chickenwing twisted facebuster for the pin. This was clearly Djibril's rocket boost into the TIPWF's upper echelon and a wonderful showing that confirmed that Salvador Sosa may not just be back to his previous form, but may be even better than in his physical peak. Pan African Cup Block B #2 Moustapha Ndour vs. #15 Anwar Omar Credible attempt from Anwar Omar, but the Somalian Survivor was never able to take advantage of wearing Moustapha Ndour's gas tank down and instead fell to the Obliteration Machine for the three count, pushing the former PEWA Extreme champion ahead in the Pan African Cup in front of his hometown audience. Egyptian Confrontation Layla Al-Amin(Phoenix Rising) vs. Dhani Faizan(Wrestle Parade) A fun, energetic match with Dhani Faizan keeping Layla Al-Amin off balance for much of the bout. Even so, the Cairo Cyclone was able to land a headscissors into a standing shooting star press to claim the three count and the win. Pan African Cup Block B #7 Esther Musambi vs. #10 Yetunde Oya Both members of Bemba's Royal Court made an agreement before the match to hold back on inflicting any potential injuries, and as such, this match was a bit more of a sparring bout than a legit full on fight. Even so, nobody can deny the competitive spirt at hand with Musambi overwhelming her foe for long stretches of the match, and Oya mounting a late comeback, but too late of one, as Esther Musambi was able to score the submission victory with her camel clutch, moving on to represent the Court in the Pan African Cup. Green River Wrestling(Beau Ramirez, Obadiah Calhoun and Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun with Abednego Calhoun) vs. The Marshall Family(Lance Marshall, Cassandra Marshall and Terra Marshall)(Phoenix Rising) Late arriving change for this match saw Abednego Calhoun switch out to allow his wife, Lucia to enter this match and gain another showing on the Pan African Tour. This could have been a tactical masterstroke as Shikongo-Calhoun was able to submit the TIWPF Lone Star Heavyweight champion, Lance Marshall with a seated Muta Lock. While many quickly dismissed this result as a typical instance of "Gentleman Lance" showing less of a fight against smaller women, this was still a strong win for Beau Ramirez's side as he prepares to challenge Marshall for his championship. Pan African Cup Block B #3 Lanna Ndi vs. #14 Wesley Rakoto Lanna Ndi was fearless and fearsome in her first match back after her brutal knockout defeat against Larry Washington in her failed UCSS Openweight title challenge. She showed no sign of trouble as she overwhelmed Wesley Rakoto and pinned the Madagascar native after a grounded head kick. Mr. Moonsault TIPWF Debut Mr. Moonsault Marcus Xavier vs. Local Larry Marcus Xavier's first official TIPWF match after the transfer window was going well until Local Larry landed his signature Back Home Driver backdrop lift piledriver to earn the TKO finish against the seven footer. With Moonsault's troubles since leaving Lightning Pro, this could hardly have been a worse introduction to the TIPWF roster. Pan African Cup Block B #6 Onika Santos vs. #11 Mohammad Ramses The first Block B match of the night barely got off the ground before Santos clocked Ramses with a handstand kick to score the knockout victory. An unfortunate end to the Pan African Tour for both Ramses and Nefertiri, as husband and wife each received KO losses in back to back weeks. Team 12(El Hijo del Dodecahedron Jr, Dodecahedron, Notorious EFM and Abominog II) vs. Exotico World Order(Valentina Verda, Vice Versa, Martina Martinez and Angelita Serefines) An entertaining showcase rules match that saw Angelita Serefines carry the EWO for long stretches, Hijo del Dodecahedron Jr. landing an apron german suplex on Vice Versa and Abominog II carry out the win after countering Martina Martinez on the mat with a rolling pinfall out of bottom back mount. Bonus Bout Anatoly Shkuro TIPWF Debut The Mallard(MWWC) vs. Anatoly Shkuro Donning his "Final Migration" attire for the Senegalese audience, the Mallard won some new fans as he kept pace with the Splendid Cossack. Anatoly Shkuro's TIPWF debut was a late arrival to the card and while Shkuro put on an entertaining, strong showing, the Mallard came away with the win after pinning his foe with a victory roll cradle. --- Match of the Night: Djibril Ba vs. Salvador Sosa -A no brainer and then some with Sosa and Ba engaging in an evenly competitive thrill fest of a match that rose above everything else on the show. Performance of the Night: Local Larry -Larry's upset win over Mr. Moonsault not only put him on the map in the TIPWF but could have prematurely destroyed Marcus Xavier's hopes to rise back to the main event in his new promotion. --- Injury Report Mohammad Ramses: Mild Concussion (Two Month Medical Suspension) -A handstand kick from Onika Santos knocked Ramses flat out, and the Egyptian will miss the rest of the Tour and an additional month to recover. Mr. Moonsault: Sprained Neck (One Month Medical Suspension) -Local Larry's Back Home Driver slammed Marcus Xavier straight on the top of his head to end their match. Xavier will be on medical suspension for a month to recover, but considering his career trajectory, some serious re-evaluations might take longer as he re-evaluates his proper start to a TIPWF run. Pan African Cup Update Block B Semifinals #2 Moustapha Ndour vs. #7 Esther Musambi -A more even match than the seedings might suggest but still one that favors the Warbringer with his size and athleticism giving him a slight edge. However, Musambi has been on the best run of her career as of late, and if she can get the leverage to hit her backbreakers, this could be up for grabs. #3 Lanna Ndi vs. #6 Onika Santos -A UCSS reunion between the Cameroonian Kyokushin fighter and the Angolan-Brazilian Capoeira artist and one that can likely lead to a spectacular knockout finish for either side. Ndi's relentless pressure and efficient striking contrast with Santos's blistering speed and creativity for a match that could end up as a standout encounter.

World Wrestling Daily Digest: Ring Beholder Public Exclusive: Pan African Tour '24 Stop #4 -By Digital Dave Doolittle Pan African Tour 2024 #4: Doala, Cameroon (House Show) 9-11-2024 September 11th in Doala, Cameroon Main Event Lanna Ndi vs. Anthony Kalb [Match Notes] -Lanna Ndi's homecoming match pitted her against the Senatorial Office Head of Operations. With Ndi feared for her instant knockout power, Kalb's usual penchant for taking on dangerous work in the ring may also have been mixed with a pragmatic choice to keep other Pan African talent off the injury list for the rest of the Tour. -Kalb pushed forward early on but Ndi landed fast, accurate strikes with ease. -A Capture Bomb from Kalb landed at six minutes followed by an inverted brainbuster. -Lanna Ndi cut Kalb with a roundhouse to the head at nine minutes, leading to Kalb running out of breath shortly after. -Lanna Ndi scored several near fall at twelve with a pair of measured punches. -Lanna Ndi pinned Anthony Kalb with a measured punch at 15:15 [Summary] Potentially an entertaining matchup, but that went out the window when Kalb was opened up. [72%] Esi Dogboe vs. Miss Bauhaus [Match Notes] -Surprise showing on the tour from the star musician, who reportedly was visiting in neighboring Nigeria for a collaboration with local artists. -Bauhaus controlled the early pace and landed a big headscissors smash into the corner as well as a five minute rana bomb. -Charging seated corner hip strike and another headscissors smash at ten followed by a belly to back piledriver and a Black Star Cannonball from Dogboe. -Dogboe landed multiple combination sentons off the top at twelve while Bauhaus went for a variety of flash pins. -Miss Bauhaus pinned Esi Dogboe with the Cutting Edge neckbreaker at 14:25. [Summary] Fast, easy to watch, back and forth action, a worthwhile match all around. Pretty Pirates GALeon Second Chapter(La Corsaria(Phoenix Rising) and Warsan Caaliah Ali) vs. Tough Guys(Anwar Omar and the Equalizer) [Match Notes] -A bit of a PEWA callback for the current UCSS contracted Tough Guys and Corsaria joined Caaliah Ali for her first team match on the Tour. -Nothing much happened in the first eight minutes other than the standard tag exchanges. -Corsaria pushed the action forward from nine minutes on with both Tough Guys looking to take the match to the mat. -Equalizer gave Caaliah Ali a big shove out of the ring around seventeen minutes in. -Twenty minutes saw Anwar Omar begin to fully crank on his side headlocks and Equalizer pulling out some dangerous chokeholds. -The Equalizer submitted Warsan Caaliah Ali with the Cooldown fish hook style sleeper hold at 23:50. [Summary] A routine tag excursion that didn't manage to get off the ground. [78%] FENYANG vs. Local Larry [Match Notes] -A straight forward brawl to begin with FENYANG getting the better of the exchanges. -FENYANG hit a diving rana around the seven minute mark answered by a sunset flip from Larry as things picked up. -Nearfall at ten with a diving crossbody from Larry and a jumping knee drop also netted a close call. -Both were fighting to land a clean finishing technique as the match hit the twenty minute mark. -Local Larry pinned FENYANG with a diving frog splash at 23:42 [Summary] Again, Local Larry connected with the fans in another new venue to the Green River export and the match took a measured build to a strong conclusion for a quality showing. [99%]

[One Thumb Down] Sometimes you get the sinking sensation that the universe, if it's not entirely indifferent, has taken a strangely specific disliking to you. That is the experience I felt as I watched this abysmal program. Knockouts and injuries ruining matches across the board. No standout contest to outright save the night. Plenty of sub-par showings. And on top of that, a flat, unenthusiastic crowd. I wanted to give this the dreaded Two Thumbs Down, but in reality, as miserable as I was watching it, this wasn't a complete disaster. There were some decent matches here and there and nothing was so egregiously awful as to stand out in my memory. Akira Mifune's debut was a welcome surprise. As it is, watch this if you need to stay caught up, otherwise, skip on along. -Tom S. Hunter RESULTS Pan African Tour 2024 #5: Lightning Pro x Wacker Drive Revival in Gaborone, Botswana - 9-13-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, September 13th in Gaborone, Botswana Main Event: Pan African Cup Block A Semi Finals #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #9 Warsan Caaliah Ali A decent effort from Warsan Caaliah Ali, who drew blood immediately, but Ibrahim Rahman rose to the occasion, returning the favor, stunning Ali in the ropes and then scoring the win with his Tunsian Twist cradle to move along in the tournament. Short, but intense match that did credit to Ali even with her quick defeat. Endo Shogunate vs. Worldwide Conquest The Endo Shogunate(Nishimura Endo, Stakhonovite Warrior, Rumika Hashi and Akira Mifune) vs. Worldwide Conquest(The Outlaw Sam Hall, Maximillian Francisco De La Cruz, Rimi Kondo and Francesco Hirose) While the Endo Shogunate stated that they were keeping a spot open for Takayuki Ueda to finally join, the Orange Surge did not accept the offer, again proclaiming to stand on his own. In his place, the Modern Day Samurai, Akira Mifune made his debut and officially joined the Shogunate. Mifune made a big difference and the Endo Shogunate were able to prevail with the Stakhonovite Warrior hitting Francesco Hirose with his Ironhammer military press powerslam for the pinfall. The Endo Shogunate has bolstered its ranks, gained a big win over their rivals and Akira Mifune has made one of the better debuts in recent memory. A complete success for the Shogunate, and L-Pro as a whole. Pan African Cup Block A Semi Finals #13 Innocent Mugisha vs. #5 Djibril Ba A much anticipated meeting between two of the top rising prospects on the Tour and one that saw Innocent Mugisha survive the explosive power of Djibril Ba to land his signature german suplex hold to score the pinfall win. Ayanda(Phoenix Rising) and Djeneba Kouame(Phoenix Rising) vs. ARENA(Rena LeBlanc and Arisa Hashimoto) Enormous upset for the Blackwood Academy duo as they overcame the height and ability of ARENA, with Ayanda submitting Rena LeBlanc with a dragon sleeper variation. The Winds of Change have captured their biggest win to date and have built some much-needed momentum headed into the Pan African Tag Cup tournament. Pan African Cup Block B Semi Finals #2 Moustapha Ndour vs. #7 Esther Musambi A motivated Musambi worked her backbreakers up against the kicks of Ndour, and would prevail with her startlingly brutal camel clutch submission. Storm of the Century(Wataru Nakajima and Thunder Fist) and FENYANG vs. D-Team(Iceberg and Titas Butkus and Leilani Auerbach) A decent match most notable for FENYANG receiving a knockout from a jackhammer brainbuster at the hands of Iceberg, and later, Wataru Nakajima receive a charging lariat attack from Titas Butkus for the pinfall defeat. The D-Team seems revitalized with its slimmer numbers and could well be on its way to challenge in a number of divisions going forward. Pan African Cup Block B Semi Finals #3 Lanna Ndi vs. #6 Onika Santos A foregone conclusion with Ndi's pressure shutting down Santos's space to activate her Capoeira rhythm, landing a punt kick out of a sprawl to score the knockout win. "Guangzhou Titan" Li Zhu vs. Aishwarya Dhawan Sporting a new haircut, Li Zhu proclaimed before the show that he was temporarily shelving his "Emperor and Ruler of the World" nickname until he earns it in the Office. Unfortunately for the Guangzhou Titan, this was not going to happen anytime soon as Aishwarya Dhawan spiked him on his head with a driver variation for a knockout loss. Bonus Match Chiranji(NEBULA) vs. Bebop Tiger A surprise entry right off the start with the NEBULA kahjilt up against L-Pro's resident tiger in a feline kerfuffle. While Chiranji was unable to escape with a win, submitted by a deathlock variation from Eiji Sato, he more than proved himself a worthy arrival to the Technical Ecstasy stable with his mentor, Ibrahim Rahman, putting up a strong fight all the way through. --- Match of the Night: Endo Shogunate vs. Worldwide Conquest -Not a great night overall but this one, the main event and the opening bonus bout between Chiranji and Bebop Tiger were all decent, with the Shogunate-Conquest match getting the nod. Performance of the Night: Ayanda and Djeneba -The Blackwood Academy duo pulled off an impressive upset over ARENA to net their award for the evening. --- Injury Report Li Zhu: Sprained Neck - Two Month Medical Suspension Onika Santos: Moderate Concussion - Three Month Medical Suspension FENYANG: Sprained Shoulder - One Month Medical Suspension

World Wrestling Daily Digest: Ring Beholder Public Exclusive: Pan African Tour '24 Stop #6 -By Digital Dave Doolittle Pan African Tour 2024 Stop #6: Antananarivo, Madagascar (House Show) September 18th in Antananarivo, Madagascar Main Event The Endo Shogunate(Innocent Mugisha and "Modern Day Samurai" Akira Mifune) vs. Wesley Rakoto and Local Larry [Match Notes] -The homecoming for the Moraingy Maniac, Wesley Rakoto saw him teaming up with a fellow hometown hero in Local Larry as they went up against the formidable Endo Shogunate duo of the Modern Day Samurai, Akira Mifune, following up his debut on last Friday and Innocent Mugisha, who surprisingly volunteered in spite of his continued success in the Pan African Cup. -Mifune opened up early with a big shove to the outside on Rakoto. -Local Larry got the best out of both foes in grappling exchanges and dropkicked Mifune out of the ring. -Prolonged battle outside at ten minutes in with Larry hitting a Back Home Driver on Mifune. -Excellent combo work from the Shogunate at fifteen but Larry was able to get a near fall on Mugisha with a Jumpin Knee Drop. -Chaos at eighteen minutes with Larry and Mifune fighting outside again. -Mugisha got a near fall on Larry with a press slam at twenty with Rakoto making the needed save. -Akira Mifune submitted Wesley Rakoto with a Katahajime at 24:29 [Summary] Not the result that Antananarivo wanted, but easily the best match of the night with intensity, passion and lots of drama. [98%] MBALI(Typhoon Pro) with Mistfire Coven(TIKI, CETRA and HOODOO)(Typhoon Pro) vs. La Belleza with Jennie Medici [Match Notes] -The Mistfire Coven have always been guests on the Tour, although it is unknown whether they were ever invited or not, and this time MBALI took on ENHANCE's self-absorbed luchadora, La Belleza who was supported by Jennie Medici. -Belleza took her first selfie after the two minute mark and promptly went for more shortly after. -Big jumping bomb from MBALI at five and a strike that sent Belleza tumbling out of the ring after the kickout. -Belleza avoided the mist at all costs when MBALI brought it out. -Diving leg drop from MBALI at nine. -MBALI pinned La Belleza following a superkick at 10:09. [Summary] Too many seconds, too many selfies and a foregone conclusion. [65%] Black Star Lightning(La Relampaga(Phoenix Rising) and Esi Dogboe) vs. Tough Guys(Anwar Omar and The Equalizer) [Match Notes] -With Layla Al-Amin, Mohammad Ramses and Nefertiri all injured, Black Star Lightning became the new entry for the Pan African Tag Cup, and the two received a warm up match here against the Tough Guys. -Speed advantage gave the early match to the Lightning, landing fast strikes and counters. -Frequent tags kept Black Star Lightning ahead going into the ten minute mark. -Esi Dogboe crushed Anwar Omar with a rolling elbow to land the first big move of the match around fifteen minutes. -Lightning Elbow landed for Relampaga on Omar at eighteen with Equalizer making the save. -Relampaga outworked both Tough Guys at twenty three minutes in in a great one on two sequence. -Esi Dogboe pinned the Equalizer with a counter rollup for the win at 27:28. [Summary] Superb showing from the newly formed team of Al-Amin allies, and a quality tag match in general. [93%] Chiranji(NEBULA) vs. Robbie Roberts [Match Notes] -Making up for a tough debut match against the Bebop Tiger, Chranji instead took on ENHANCE's energetic throwback in Roberts. -It should be zero surprise that Chrianji outworked Roberts early on, but Roberts was able to counter some side headlocks with basic backdrop suplexes. -Big stomp got a near fall at seven and from there Chiranji opened Roberts up with a foreign object toss. -Chiranji pinned Roberts with a handshake inside cradle at 8:10. [Summary] A routine day at the office for Chiranji with Roberts offering almost no resistance. [69%]

With a somewhat depleted roster, the Pan African Tour still manages to put on a premium quality card in Kinshasa with Larry Washington continuing his dominant reign in the ultimate test of a timed interval royale against seven potent challengers in the main event. The Pan African Cup heads down the stretch with Block A featuring Ibrahim Rahman and Innocent Mugisha and Block B pitting Lanna Ndi and Esther Musambi against each other for a chance at the Cup in the co-main event of the Pan African Finale next Friday. Also, Lilou Ibara and Professor Gizenga join forces to celebrate their shared Congolese heritage, new teams are joined and the enigmatic Chiranji makes another showing on the Tour. [One Thumb Up] Don't tell me I'm not fair. There was a lot I didn't like here. The fans were irate after the main event even with the incredible accomplishment witnessed. We get another knockout, and you know my thoughts on those even, although I do admit it was less egregious than the usual. It's UCSS, and by default, I have a tougher time enjoying their product. But overall, this one moved fast, the matches were mostly good on average. In fact, a handful were especially memorable like Ndi-Musambi and the NCC-WFSD trios match, with the former bringing a degree of venom that I can't recall from anything in the Office in recent memory and the latter having an infectious energy. Additionally, this was a show that saw a basic chinlock score an actual submission victory. How can I hate on that? -Tom S. Hunter RESULTS Pan African Tour 2024 Stop #7 UCSS in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo - 9-20-2024 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, September 20th in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo Bonus Match: UCSS Rules "The Fearsome Icon" Chiyoko Tano(Triple Plus Joshi) vs. Gemma Jo Butt Good match between the Fearsome Icon as she prepares for her entrance into Phoenix Rising's Grand Ascension and Gemma Jo Butt, looking to again capitalize on her burgeoning popularity. Tano took on Gemma Jo in her own preferred ruleset, and dominated, landing an avalanche brainbuster and the dreaded Super Drop diving hip drop off the top rope to score the ten count win. Main Event: UCSS Openweight Championship Gauntlet Royale "Fistic Deity" Larry Washington(Realm of Wrestling)(C) vs. Thiago Gracie vs. Jagannath Malik vs. Sanem Becker vs. Masa Tokugawa vs. Leona Sterling(Phoenix Rising) vs. Onosa'i Tagaloa vs. Eliza Faulkner(MWWC) All in all, this was a good match for what it was, with Larry Washington entering first and overcoming seven other opponents. Jagannath Malik was the first to fall after an Apocalypse Knee from Masa Tokugawa led into a pin. From there, Leona Sterling was pinned following a Washington punch, Sanem Becker from an uppercut by the Fistic Deity and Thiago Gracie was submitted by Onosa'i Tagaloa using a D'arce choke. Heading down the stretch, Tagaloa submitted to a flying cross legbreaker from Eliza Faulkner, Tokugawa was punched out by Washington for the TKO and finally, Faulkner fell following a straight right hand from Washington, leading to the retention of the Openweight title. Pan African Cup Block A Finals #1 Ibrahim Rahman vs. #13 Innocent Mugisha Innocent Mugisha's miracle run finally came to an end against the top seed in the tournament. While Mugisha gave a good account of himself, Rahman's blinding speed kept him off balance and a series of pinning combinations led to a rolling arm trap crucifix pin for the three count for the Desert Mirage. Ibrahim Rahman and Lanna Ndi will now face off in the co-main event of the Pan African Finale. New Congolese Connection(Lilou "The Beat" Ibara and Professor Mark Gizenga) vs. World Famous Savage-Do(Rikki Renegade(Neutral Ground) and Oleg Makos with Count Savage) A gloriously enjoyable match that left the bulk of the Kinshasa crowd pleased afterwards as their local fixture, Professor Mark Gizenga and the dynamic Lilou Ibara were able to thwart a capable challenge from a motivated Rikki Renegade and Oleg Makos. In the end, Gizenga was able to pin Makos with a rolling arm trapping cradle for the three count, and the crowd wildly danced along with Ibara in the aftermath. Pan African Cup Block B Finals #3 Lanna Ndi vs. #7 Esther Musambi Exceptional contest that was less a sporting display of wrestling and more of a flat out exercise in brutality with Esther Musambi landing a constant string of repeating head kicks and Lanna Ndi responding with rib bruising strikes of her own in a match that spilled in and out of the ring. Ndi's execution style chop, the Icebreaker ended up being the deciding factor here, landing twice with the second one leading to the pinfall. No doubt this match will be revisited in the near future. South African Alliance(Shaka Zulu(Rose Garden), Renate Barlowe and Zulu Lionheart) vs. Shaolin Superstars(Chun Zheng(Neutral Ground) and Gang Wong) and Frank Van Sloan Fast moving battle with Chun Zheng and Shaka Corbin anchoring their respective teams for the bulk of the action, but it would be a pinpoint precision Uberkick leaping spin crescent kick from Frank Van Sloan that would end the match by knocking out Renate Barlowe. The Blocks Debut Match The Blocks(Hakim Fields and Generalissimo Kool Q) vs. Bemba's Royal Court(Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi and Yetunde Oya) A good match to debut the team of Generalissimo Kool Q and Hakim Fields as the duo now known as the Blocks went up against Bemba's Royal Court. This was a competitive match that saw a surprising amount of work out of Kool Q, but this may have been to the detriment of the Blocks as Yetunde Oya was able to submit him with her fish hook sleeper, the Gates of No Return. Chiranji(NEBULA) vs. Lula Bufona A fun match with Lula repeatedly rolling out to avoid Chiranji's dives, but the finish was certainly one for the ages with Chiranji claiming a submission victory by means of a basic chinlock. Once again proof that Ibrahim Rahman's training can make any move a potential finish. Chloe Acevedo Leon(Phoenix Rising) and Khatia Lomadze vs. Battle Blossoms(Sakura Ishigami and Manami Ishigami) The tentatively-named Blue Bombers impressed greatly in their first team up as they outworked the Battle Blossoms, Khatia Lomidze pinning Manami Ishigami with a leg split pin out of a scramble on the mat. The Bombers showed good cohesion and an impressive mix of skills here, which could bode well for their future in UCSS's tag division. Bonus Match TIKI(Typhoon Pro) with Mistfire Coven(MBALI, HOODOO and CETRA) vs. Elle Barrett with Lexie Barrett(Butterfloor) and Abbie Jones(SWA) No doubt about it, TIKI has zero ring rust, fighting through a laceration to engage in her usual antics, landing multiple dives to the outside before an overhead chop led to a hip drop pin and the three count over Elle Barrett. --- Match of the Night: Ndi vs. Musambi, New Congolese Connection vs. World Famous Savage-Do -Both of these matches stood above the rest with the Block B Finals bout demonstrating a naked ferocity from both participants that went above and beyond and the latter being a feel-good example of what a tag match should do. Performance of the Night: Larry Washington -First in, last out, defeating seven other competitors and making it look easy. Another landmark night for the legendary champion. --- Injury Report Renate Barlowe: Moderate Concussion (Three Month Medical Suspension) -A swift Uberkick jump spin crescent kick from Frank Van Sloan knocked Barlowe flat out and will keep her out of action for much of 2024's remaining time.

World Wrestling Daily Digest: Ring Beholder Public Exclusive: Pan African Tour '24 Stop #8 -By Digital Dave Doolittle Pan African Tour 2024 #8: Lagos, Nigeria (House Show) 9-22-2024 September 22nd in Lagos, Nigeria Main Event The Endo Shogunate(Rumika Hashi, Stakhonovite Warrior, Akira Mifune and Innocent Mugisha) vs. Green River Wrestling(Beau Ramirez, Abednego Calhoun, Obadiah Calhoun and Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun) [Match Notes] -Big blowout team contest between L-Pro's Endo Shogunate and the TIPWF's Green River Wrestling contingent. -First ten were fairly uneventful aside from the Calhoun Bros. and their double teams and some exchanges between the Stakhonovite and Beau Ramirez. -Lucia attempted to submit the Stakhonovite deep in the Green River corner with a butterfly hold at twenty. -Rumika Hashi lit up most of the Green River team with kicks at twenty three, almost pinning Lucia afterwards with a Japanese leg roll. -Mancatcher inside cradle from Beau on Stakhonovite at twenty five with a big brawl on the outside afterwards that the Green River crew dominated. -Lucia Shikongo-Calhoun pinned Akira Mifune with a leaping outside crescent kick at 34:27 [Summary] A match that took some time to get going, but after twenty minutes in, this was a blistering battle that saw all entrants do well for themselves. [98%] Thunder Fist(ZIP Japan) vs. Djibril Ba [Match Notes] -A surprising matchup for the Senegalse Batista, going up against a true legend of the business in Thunder Fist in what was essentially a throwaway house show entry. -Despite being the smaller competitor, Ba was clearly winning the power game early on, throwing Fist around with ease. -A corner smash backbreaker into a powerslam brought Thunder Fist back into the match for a near fall at nine. -Ba continued landing heavy powerslams into the fiftten minute mark while Fist answered with strike flurries and won multiple exchanges. -Djibril Ba pinned Thunder Fist with the Batista Bomb at 18:30 [Summary] Hard hitting bout that could be a landmark moment for Djibril Ba's career. [87%] Pretty Pirates GALeon Second Chapter(La Corsaria(Phoenix Rising) and Warsan Caaliah Ali) vs. Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi and Local Larry [Match Notes] -The Hometown Hero joined forces with the actual hometown competitor here with Larry and Mehrmohammdi representing Lagos against the Second Chapter. -Strong opening for the Pirates, dominating most of the exchanges and showing better teamwork at the start. -Mehrmohammdi stole the rock bottom from Warsan at ten minutes in, landing it into the ropes for a break on the pin. -Match broke down at thirteen with an extended struggle outside between Mehrmohammdi and Warsan, and Corsaria blasted Larry with a chair she brought back into the ring. -Corsaria busted Mehrmohammdi open with a loaded boot strike at twenty. -Back Home Driver from Larry got a near fall on Corsaria at twenty three but Warsan made the save. -Pretty Pirates did well for much of the twenty minute-thirty minute span with the ring positioning game, constantly dragging foes to their corner. -Tons of near falls after thirty minutes from both sides and a double corner charging attack from the Pirates at thirty five. -Local Larry pinned Warsan Caaliah Ali at 39:00 with the Back Home Driver backdrop piledriver. [Summary] Great showing from both sides and a well-deserved full hundo of a match that excited the local Nigerian crowd and makes me hope for a return of the Larry-Mehrmohammdi duo. [100%] Chiranji(NEBULA) vs. Wesley Rakoto [Match Notes] -Both Rakoto and Chiranji offer high level speed with unorthodox technique, making this a natural crowd pleasing matchup on paper. -Opening minutes almost entirely even, Rakoto hitting a few more moves, Chiranji sending Rakoto out of the ring multiple times. -Pocket sand gets the first two count for Chiranji around ten minutes, but Rakoto answered with several fast pins of his own. -Near fall for Rakoto at twelve with a standing shooting star and Chiranji returned fire with multiple flurries. -Chiranji pinned Wesley Rakoto for the three count with a counter rollup at 16:10 [Summary] A solid, fast paced battle that was as evenly matched as one could have hoped. [86%]

World Wrestling Daily Digest: Pan African Finale Main Event Roundtable By Kevin "The Internet" Anderson and WWDD Staff Welcome back to the top wrestling news site on the internet, we have the fastest, most in-depth coverage of the business here and with the Senatorial Office presenting one of its biggest events of the year tonight, we made sure to give you, the discerning fans the best coverage that you can find. While we have some of our indispensable articles available only to our Insiders and we certainly advise you to make the affordable investment to treat yourself to the expert analysis that the most important people in the industry utilize, we also understand that we have the responsibility to serve the general public. As such, I present to you a condensed set of excerpts from our recent Roundtable discussion surrounding the co-main event matches for the Pan African Finale: Kevin Anderson: For the Rahman-Ndi match, I just feel that we see a situation where one star is rising and the other is faltering. Lanna Ndi is on the warpath after losing to Larry Washington, and she has a lot more to prove than Rahman, who's at the point where he may be the face of Pan African Wrestling, the biggest star post-Mutombo, but he's won it all, he's just not as motivated. Anderson: As for Ajax-Bemba, I can't pick against the mighty Ajax. He's got the pedigree, the power, the legacy of a true premium star in the industry and Bemba, good as he may be, just doesn't match up. Ajax's spear still is one of the most feared weapons around and if he hits Bemba with it, that's it. --- "Textbook" Tim Dwight: It might be the easy way out to say that Ibrahim Rahman and Lanna Ndi are both, in a phrase, "one hitter quitters." Both of them can absolutely end a match with a single move, albeit, Rahman with his vaunted flash pin arsenal and Ndi with her bone crushing strikes. But when you take a deeper look into this matchup, I think the real difference is that if Ibrahim Rahman cannot win with his series of instant cradles, he has so much more. He can submit people with the most basic of techniques, with his execution, a simple toehold can lead to the end. He is an efficient striker, better at it than Ndi is at anything outside her primary skill. And the true decider is that Rahman is an endurance machine who can find a way to win late into a match and I think that combined with his versatility will win him the Pan African Cup. Dwight: Many people told me they think that Ajax's injuries might hold him back against King Bemba, but I've spoken with Daniel Ness and he's told me that Ajax was back operating at full intensity only a week after he took that backbreaker from Esther Musambi. You can't judge someone like Ajax like you would the average athlete, he's truly a one of a kind specimen. And yet, I still have my reservations. King Bemba might be close to unstoppable when he builds some momentum. He is a flat out juggernaut when he's motivated and is fairly economical for a big power brawler in his focus and move choices. There is not generally a lot of wasted motion or time for Bemba once he's in the zone. Ajax can explode into victory, but he's going to have to keep Bemba off balance for the second half of the match if he's going to do that, and I just think that's an easier said than done thing to accomplish, so I'm picking Bemba to walk away from this with both the Medal and the Ranking. --- "Fast" Eddie Edison: Hey, you guys ripped on me enough for my Quick Picks all month long, so you know what? This is what you get: Ajax wins, Lanna wins. If I'm right, I told you so, if I'm wrong, well, just throw it in the pile with the rest of my picks this month! --- Professor Mark Gizenga: I always make sure to account for my biases in my scholarship and it is true, I am biased! I believe that grappling is superior to striking! I really like Lanna Ndi, she's an aspirational figure and someone we need to celebrate in our sport! But Ibrahim Rahman is someone whom I admire as a fellow grappler, and I believe his style beats her style if everything else is equal, and as good as Ibrahim is, I don't think anyone is truly equal to him! Gizenga: Oh no, you made me comment on this one! You see, I have many colleagues who are from Uganda, many friends, and I don't want to say this, because they will all laugh at me for saying it, but I think that I have to pick their man, I have to pick the King to win! Ajax just does not do great in these matches against other big powerful monsters! And in Kampala, at home, how could I possibly pick against King Bemba? His style inflicts nightmares in Ajax and I think the only way he likely loses is if Ajax fights like his life itself is on the line! So I pick Bemba, and I want all my friends who are from Uganda to know that I do not want him to win, but I am a very honest man by my nature and if that means that I say things like this, then that is what it means! ------ The Pan African Tour of 2024 concludes tonight in Kampala, Uganda with a monumental double main event featuring the Pan African Cup finals between Ibrahim Rahman and Lanna Ndi as well as the double title bout between Ajax and local icon, King Bemba. Along with the capstone bouts, the Pan African Tag Cup presents a four team one night tournament, the Pan African Royal features eight exciting Office stars from across the Continent, both the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight Title and Wacker Drive Revival's team trophy, The Loop are defended along with much more!
