Leona Sterling "I told you before we stepped in there: inside that cage, I am a completely different beast than when I'm standin' in a wrestling ring. I'm more at home in that environment than I am anywhere else in the WORLD. All there is inside those walls is me, and the unfortunate shite standin' in front of me. But see, I also know that I can't fight every single match inside those walls. I gotta keep workin' at bringing those results into the ring as well... and you better believe my time's coming. Way I hear it, I get the first crack at the new champ comin' up... and I gotta say, it's impressive, seein' that belt finally change hands. But make no mistake, I intend to bring that gold home myself. You'll have to put me down to stop me.
Y'know, thinkin' back, though: heh... there's probably some joke somewhere about finishin' a Frenchwoman with a Guillotine choke. Might be more an English joke than a Scottish one, though. Ahh, well." Candace Monroe "I'm sure there's plenty of people out there that figure I'm worried about next week. About how I'm gonna be defending this title against Ewan Jacobs, about how I'm at such a wild disadvantage against someone that's probably got more than a few screws loose. But don't go acting like I don't face those sort of odds nearly every time I step out into that ring. Whether it's here in UCSS, whether it's back home in Phoenix Rising, I'm constantly up against odds that definitely aren't in my favor.
So let me remind you of where I'm at. Proving Ground Tag Team Champions... dethroning one of the best teams Proving Ground ever witnessed. Fought against the best the roster had to offer. Somewhere I never could've gotten without RNA by my side. And now, SWA Prestige Champion, the first person not signed to the company to ever hold it. The first piece of singles gold I've ever held in my career.
Now tell me, Jacobs: do you think I'm going to just roll over for you? Do you think I'm just gonna give up and let you take this from me so soon? Hell no. If you want this title so badly... then just come and try me. I won't hesitate to pull your leg off."

Fast Eddie's Fastcast with Anthony Kalb and Monica Tesfaye"Fast" Eddie Edison: You've tuned into the Fastcast with Fast Eddie here, and I'm here with Anthony Kalb, Senatorial Office Head of Operations, and the lovely Monica Tesfaye, his...well, if you read the rumors, his fiancée and legal advisor. Monica Tesfaye: Correct on the second point. The first one is an evolving situation. Anthony Kalb: Hah. Hah hah, Fast Eddie, you just had to step on that landmine to open things up... Eddie: Well, I'm not going to push you on that point, because the Fastcast is all about doing things quickly. And I have a boatload of somewhat less personal rumors to address here, since you're the man with the inside info and you're willing to pass it along, let's see if we can clear up some things concerning your boss, Midas Matthews. First off, I hear he was trying to outright purchase the Spike Wrestling Association. Monica: I'll take this one. Yes. Mr. Matthews was interested in making a deal for the SWA. I can confirm that he offered a proposal... which is better than I can say concerning Tony over here...Kalb: Hey, seriously! Monica: But although the dollar value was impressive, the SWA's ownership group had no interest in selling at this point in time. Eddie: What I'm hearing is that he wanted to buy the SWA to serve as the home fed for a possible second Club Minos location, this time, on the Vegas strip. Kalb: Yeah, I think Midas's lost the plot lately. He got lucky to get the first Club going in Atlantic City, and it's not even been open for a year, and he's trying to play with the big boys in Vegas. He's rich as hell, but he's reaching past his limits with these attempts and really, I'm a bit concerned about how this affects the long term situation here in the Office, seeing that his funds play a central role in keeping things going. Eddie: Speaking of the SWA, doesn't your contract with them run out in August? Kalb: It does, we're going to be on temporary agreements through the end of the year if we don't hammer something out there, and we are in progress with that, no thanks to Midas, but worst comes to worst, we'll still have a working agreement with them like we do with Phoenix Rising, the Rose Garden and Warrior Pro. Eddie: Next thing I'm hearing is that he's legit serious about rolling Wacker Drive and UCSS into L-Pro and wants to make them into a superfed, making the Office into a three brand deal. I know there's pushback, but how much? Kalb: The Board doesn't want it. Shima Ito might be slightly interested in the idea of L-Pro USA that this would create, but he also knows this would force major changes in how he goes about things. Bob Montgomery isn't going to give up his vision and his fed without a fight. Alger, he's probably the most open as long as he can run a UCSS division in another fed, but the terms have to be right. I know Midas is deadset on this, but for now, it's not happening. Eddie: Word has it that Midas thinks GPC has lost too many times in Sakura Pro and Turner's no longer champ, so he wants to remove the Number One from Christopher and take away the status of their upcoming match as a Number One Ranking bout. Kalb: If this was several months ago, he probably would have pulled that off. But the Board has veto power on him now, so nope, not happening. GPC has to lose his rank in the ring unless he outright cannot compete going forward, and I am not holding any outside losses against him. The man runs himself thin with all his matches, but he's still the Victorious Medal champ and one of our most recognizable talents. Turner is still a legit Number Two, he was a fighting champ for months, and didn't lose easy. The match is still on, and it is still going to be for the top ranking. Eddie: And one more before we run down the card for Friday, Steve Phillips, what's going on with the former Senator? Kalb: For him right now, he's just enjoying his return to the ring. The promotions are competing for a long term contract for him, we'll just have to see how that goes, but I do know that at some point, he's going to have to figure out a promotion to land in, or just stick around as a special attraction on Golden Touch, that is, if Midas lets that happen. Eddie: Alright, now let's hear about this upcoming show. Golden Touch #14: Prelude to MayhamFollowing the broadcast of All Time Fighting #5 on Friday, June 25th at Club Minos in Atlantic City, NJ Main Event Colossus Rhodes vs. ???Kalb: Main event's going to be...something. Midas's pushing Colossus to be the Number One again, and he told me to give him the main event, and he'll provide the opponent later on. Said "this'll prove my point," before he hung up on me. SWA Prestige Title Bout Candace Monroe(Phoenix Rising)(C) vs. "The Infamous" Ewan JacobsEddie: Now this one was clearly set up on this last Friday, with Jacobs sucker punching Dangerous Nicholas Alger. Ewan Jacobs made a name in MMA for being an unpredictable maniac, and that's suiting him well in pro wrestling. Kalb: It is, but I think Candace Monroe has what it takes to make this competitive. Yes, Jacobs has the speed and the one punch power. But Monroe has a well-rounded set of skills and if she can take it to the mat, I think she might score the upset here to keep the Prestige title. The Capitalists(Anthony Kalb and Kevin Fitsharris) with Monica Tesfaye and Mina Fitsharris vs. The Reformation(Shogun and Harada)(Rose Garden)Kalb: Now, all the fans get to see Monica at ringside for the first time. Monica: And I have high expectations for my first time on the camera. Yes, I understand that your opponents are clearly favorites in this contest. But if you and Kevin do not perform to your very highest potential, I will be extremely disappointed. Kalb: Well, Kev and I will have our work cut out for ourselves, because the Reformation are going to be gunning for the Destructive Duo in a month at Lariats July '21, and being fully honest, we're the warmup act for these two. They're focused in on Honda and Wrecker, but hey, Kev and I are used to that, we'll give them a good fight if anything, and maybe even get the win, if we're... Monica: Do not say lucky! Luck is for people who do not put in the time and the effort! Kalb: Was going to say, "if we're at our best," but you can assume what I was going to say... Stanford Bradley Jr. with Stanford Bradley vs. The Notorious EFMEddie: Now this one is going to be something. El Froggy Original, the Notorious EFM... Kalb: Fitsy's kid's love the guy, had to get him on the card. Eddie: And he's up against Stanford Bradley Junior, what's that guy's other name, Ricky Scott, he's like both the Steiner Bros, but mashed together, and he wants all your titles. Kalb: All of them. Eddie: But there's no gold up for grabs here. Kalb: None. Eddie: In any case, Bradley Jr. might have the worst name in wrestling right now, but he's got some talent, and I want to see what he can do here. Road to Warriorversary III: One on Two Handicap Match John Logan(Warrior Pro) vs. Robbie Roberts and La BellezaMonica: Honestly, this one makes very little sense to me. Kalb: That's because Midas booked this one straight up. Thought Logan could use a workout before his big monumental Warriorversary title match with Machine Gun Mayhem, so then he gets to take on the ace of the jobbers and the selfie queen. My call is that Logan wins this in fourteen minutes flat. Probably catches Robbie with the Run. Monica: You are wrong, there is no way he wins in under eighteen minutes. Eddie: Now me being the master prognosticator out of all of us, I think that the right call is splitting both of your predictions, and stating that Logan in sixteen is what is going to happen. Remember, I'm not saying this for betting purposes, so don't complain if it's not right...but it's going to be right. Preliminary Main Event Strong Style Royalty(G.P. Christopher and Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi) with ??? vs. Sweet Science Society(Andronicus Turner, Jumbo Joseph Butt and Ricky "Violence" Valdez)Kalb: We all love a Preliminary Main Event, don't we? I know I do, at least, and with Turner wanting in, we have a three on three here. GPC has a million friends out there. Eddie: I've seen his quote, here let me play it: Kalb: Damn, he's thirsty for the tall French noblelady...but yeah, lots of picks for GPC. Whichever way he rolls, this one'll be a battle, Andronicus Turner's got a lot to prove now, and his team can throw fast and hard, GPC is the best around and Ali is no joke, let's just see how this little preview of our upcoming Lariats Preliminary Main Event goes. Eddie: Well, I'd like to thank you both for dropping in on the Fastcast, and we're running late now, so this is "Fast" Eddie Edison, signing off!

Shogun's thoughts leading into Golden Touch:
Shogun: Well, things have taken a turn since the last time I stood before you all! I know there are plenty of questions on the minds of the viewing public and have no fear! I do not need to go on any stupid podcasts to get my points across. You see, I spent the majority of my career as a lone wolf, but now I've learned that I have something of a knack for leadership! You may not know it, but many of your favorite young "blossoms" were trained by yours truly after all! So I would only hope that it's not a surprise that I was, in fact, not bluffing when I said I was not alone here in the Office. I guess I should start from the beginning. Masa Tokugawa and I aren't strangers to each other you see. Any man with a reputation like mine is on his radar after all, so of course now that I have arrived here in Lightning Pro, it's only natural that the herald of the Apocalypse would follow the man bringing it to the Office at large. The Apocalypse is not always said to be the end of all things, I am here in the Office to destroy the status quo and rebuild it from the ground up in MY image! That is why we will now be called The Reformation and it is why our first targets are the Destructive Duo. They have a well documented history of domination spanning many, many years! They've held onto those tag medals with an iron grip that even my new allies the Apocalyptic Warriors could not break! Highly impressive, but all good things must come to an end I'm afraid. Enough about the future though! It appears myself and Young Harada have a match coming up on Friday's Golden Touch show! I can't help but feel like Midas is expecting something of me when he decided to place The Reformation in a match against The Capitalists. I'd like to let the record know that I have absolutely nothing against Anthony Kalb or Kevin Fitsharris, the two of you just happen to have pissed off the man in charge of this event. Kalb, I happen to have a lot of respect for you! You were on my list of men that needed to be made an example of before Reformation can truly be realized in the Office! That should be an honor for someone with so little work ethic in the ring. You gave one of the most dangerous men in wrestling one of the toughest matches he's had in years and defeated the Warrior Pro champion after all! It almost makes me sick to see you wasting your time in an office chair trying to manage things! Regardless of my admiration of your skills you must be taken care of and the Reformation will be the men to do that. Once The Reformation is finished taking care of the Capitalists for Midas, we'll truly set our sights on claiming the Victorious Tag Medals and vanquishing the Destructive Duo at long last. Oh, and before I take my leave, I must let G.P Christopher know something! You're in my sights, I've seen your less than stellar performance in my old stomping grounds and I must say that I'm disappointed. Hold onto that medal and your number one spot while you can, because I want to take both of them from you before the Reformation is finished.

Kevin Fitsharris: Hey, this is your Deputy Head of Operations, Kevin Fitsharris, and I'm here with the Number One Ranked man of the hour, G.P. Christopher, and we're here to remind you all that... G.P. Christopher: We're here to tell you that you have to find your way over to the Senatorial Streaming Service tonight, right at eight. Now me, I like all the combat arts, always think there's something I can learn from them, so I know I'll be checking out All Time Fighting as it opens things up. Heavy hitting action is promised. But that's just the start of the Friday Night Fights. Fitsharris: We have Golden Touch served up on a silver...er...golden platter for you, and we got some big surprises lined up for tonight. First off, a Preliminary Main Event, with the Sweet Science Society and Strong Style Royalty giving us a preview for next month's big Number One Ranking match...but GP, you're a man short, aren't you? So let's hear it, who'd you get? Did Aline tell you to get lost? Because that's exactly what Mina told me the first time I asked her out...so I went way out of my way to impress her, and we all know how that story went. So yeah. What was I saying, anyway? GPC: Look, I'm not going to spoil things here, one way or another, come on, aren't you supposed to be the guy here who's here to keep me from spilling the beans? Fitsharris: Nah, not me, Kalb might get ticked, but I kinda just let things slide. But anyway, we got more, we got a certified family favorite, seriously, Art and Peggy love the Notorious EFM, and El Froggy Original is here in action against Stanford Bradley Jr. We have the friggin' Warrior Pro champ, John Logan taking on a two on one challenge against Robbie Roberts and La Belleza, and trust me, that's one where you bet on the one against the two, especially if the ref doesn't take Bellaza's phone from her. We have a certified title match with the SWA Prestige title on the line, Candace Monroe up against the Infamous Ewan Jacobs! GPC: KILL RIP MAME TEAR. Fitsharris: Hey, I was going to say that. But yeah, we're cheering for Candace. GPC: Yeah, we are. Fitsharris: And then our main event, I've heard there's a big impressive challenge in store for Colossus Rhodes, but that's all I've heard, since Midas's playing his cards close to his chest here. GPC: Skipping over your own match? Fitsharris: Kinda...Mina told me that if Kalb and I lose before twenty here, that she'll personally kick my ass. But against someone like Shogun and Harada...hey, look, I'm not saying I'm not going to fight my best out there, but those are two certified badasses, they probably even have that framed on their wallL "Certified by the Commission of Badasses that this individual is indeed a badass." I know Kalb wants these sorts of matches, but hey, I'm just fine, a-ok going up against the ENHANCE people of the world. But I can't let my buddy go up against them by himself, and Mina thinks I can hold my own, so here we go. GPC: And after I get done with Andronicus and his crew, I'm jumping on over to Sakura Pro, because I've got a match with a kid who I'd say is going to be the future, but like SNK, with Kaito Arai, the future is now! Look, I grew up on a steady diet of Misawa when I was a poor kid in Philly, did anything I could to see all that stuff. So when I say that the Emerald Emperor is the real deal legit reincarnation of Misawa, then I think I know what I'm talking about. I'm not saying I entered into this Grand Prix to face him...but I'm not going to say that wasn't my reason, either. Fitsharris: That's a match I know I'll be looking forward to, if I'm in the shape to see it. GPC: You know, I've gotten my ass kicked pretty badly over there. No excuses, I lost to some really good opponents, they were better than me, that's that. Midas can say I looked like a chump, but I chumped his main man, so I don't think he has any room to talk about that. But what this has told me, is that I needed to take a little look at how I'm doing things, and reevaluate a bit. So if I show up tonight with a few new tricks, well, even the best have to keep getting better, unless they're alright getting passed up. I still think I'm the best in the world, I still think I'm the Ronin of Destiny, the King of the Openers, that Philly Strong Style is the best style. I'm not changing who I am, and I'm not throwing away what works, just finding a few more things to change it up. Fitsharris: And I'm sure we'll see some of that tonight, one way or another! So yeah, all of you out there, the Friday Night Fights begin at 8:00 PM, Central Time, All Time Fighting and Golden Touch on the Senatorial Streaming Service, and we'll jump you on over right afterwards to the Rose Garden for Sakura Pro after that! You can't miss it! www.twitch.tv/senatorphillips

This was closer to an absolute unmitigated disaster of an event than it was anything else, with infuriating results, disappointing showings and inexplicable happenings abound. Not the Office's finest hour. RESULTS Golden Touch #14: Prelude to Mayham Following the broadcast of All Time Fighting #5 on Friday, June 25th at Club Minos in Atlantic City, NJ Bonus Match Felix Santana Jr. vs. David Houston Undoubtedly, the Office needed something to close out on to wash away the vile aftertaste of Rhodes-Simpson, and there were few better competitors to do so than the great Felix Santana Jr. and the rising Jr. Heavy prospect of the SWA, David Houston. Santana and Houston would put on a wrestling clinic with both men showing athleticsm and skill many times over. Houston would nearly get Santana DQed off a chair illusion, and would kick out of a Prueba de Grandeza, but going for a high risk avalanche move would lead to his downfall as Felix would instead land a top rope Dominican Destroyer to get the three count. Main Event Colossus Rhodes vs. Shrimp Simpson Colossus Rhodes was supposed to demonstrate his dominance against a mystery opponent. Many speculated his foe to be the New Humanity or another recent rival. Instead, the diminutive Shrimp Simpson would make his ENHANCE debut against the Immovable Object, and even worse, it seemed that Rhodes had no interest in beating his tiny foe, wasting time and letting Simpson run circles around the ring for much of the excruciating twenty two minutes of this match before finally, finally putting him down with a Conquering Crush ganso bomb. An entirely putrid display from one of the most supposedly dominant forces in wrestling. SWA Prestige Title Bout Candace Monroe(Phoenix Rising)(C) with Dangerous Nicholas Alger and Ruthless Nicole Alger vs. "The Infamous" Ewan Jacobs Candace Monroe came into this match with a clear gameplan in mind, attacking the legs to slow down her obnoxious foe, and it seemed for the first round that she was clearly in control and her plan was being carried out ot perfection. And yet, the Infamous Ewan Jacobs earned his reputation in mixed martial arts for having absolute dynamite in his hands and a short fuse in his head, and with a series of big flurries and a cruel stomping combo in the second round, would turn the tables almost instantly, putting Monroe down for the ten count to take the Prestige title, much to the disappointment of Senatorial Office, Phoenix Rising and SWA fans. The Capitalists(Anthony Kalb and Kevin Fitsharris) with Monica Tesfaye and Mina Fitsharris vs. The Reformation(Shogun and Harada)(Rose Garden) This one ended up resulting in outright total warfare, with the Capitalists rejecting their role as a "tune up" team, and instead fighting with one of the gutsiest efforts the duo have ever recorded in the Office, giving the Reformation a fight in and out of the ring, with their significant others watching close by. And while Shogun and Harada most certainly brought the violence in their own right, the impossible would occur as Kevin Fitsharris would catch Shogun in a Black Tuesday, seemingly injuring the Rose Garden icon and forcing Sheena to call for a stoppage, even though Anthony Kalb was the legal competitor for the team at the time. This was far from any expected result from this matchup and one only wonders what the Destructive Duo were thinking as they watched. Stanford Bradley Jr. with Stanford Bradley vs. The Notorious EFM A surprisingly competitive match with Ricky Scott taking the fight to El Froggy Original, giving the legendary amphibian everything he could handle. The gulf in experience and accomplishment would show late, as EFM missed on an El Froggy Splash, but as Bradley Jr. tried to capitlaize, picking him up from the mat, the Notorious EFM would then catch him in a counter rollup for the win. Road to Warriorversary III: One on Two Handicap Match John Logan(Warrior Pro) vs. Robbie Roberts and La Belleza John Logan took his good time here, allowing La Belleza some chances to take her customary selfies(and land some surprisingly impressive offence) and Robbie Roberts some hope spots, but despite the leisurely pace, the Warrior Pro champ would close out comfortably well, putting Roberts down with a big Sky High. Preliminary Main Event Strong Style Royalty(G.P. Christopher and Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi) and Hobo Harry with Digital Dave Doolittle vs. Sweet Science Society(Andronicus Turner, Jumbo Joseph Butt and Ricky "Violence" Valdez) Hobo Harry returned to action to join GPC and Ali, but the real story here was none other than the match ratings maestro, the Ring Beholder podcast veteran and the World Wrestling Daily Digest fixture, Digital Dave Doolittle joined the trio at ringside to personally observe the match. And while Hobo and Ali were competent, Christopher would find himself laid out on the mat, the victim of a knockout at the hands of Violence Valdez. For the record, Dave would assign a 70% to this match... --- Match of the Night: Santana vs. Houston -A snappy, fast moving, satisfying bonus match that didn't leave anyone dissatisfied in the end. Performers of the Night: Anthony Kalb and Kevin Fitsharris -The Capitalists cannot be overlooked any longer in the Office, with Kalb and Fitsharris looking as if they could legitmately compete against any team in the world. The front office desk sitters may well be looking to return to full time competition with results like their upset win over the Reformation. --- Injury Report Shogun's medicals are not available through the Office, but word has it that he will not miss any time after having his neck and shoulders torqued by Kevin Fitsharris's full nelson seated cattle mutilation, the Black Tuesday. G.P. Christopher: Mild Concussion (No Medical Suspension) -GPC was knocked out by a huge straight right from Ricky Valdez, but word has it that Morgan Matthews, L-Pro Chairman Shima Ito and GPC himself all immediately petitioned to clear him from any medical suspension. Christopher keeps up one of the most rigorous schedules in pro wrestling and as he did not show adverse reactions in his examination, was released immediately to travel to Sakura Pro later in the night(to lose another match.) --- Steve Phillips: While I arrive here with the express purpose of issuing a due round of congratulations, the atmosphere of this enclosure would indicate that something has occurred to mitigate the sense of celebration. Anthony Kalb: Yeah, about that, I just had a long talk with Midas. And if you couldn't already tell, he's pissed. Phillips: It has come to my attention that he has been exceptionally irate as of late. Kevin Fitsharris: He's been off his damn rocker! Phillips: A fair assessment, I concur. Kalb: So, long story short, he's ticked off that we beat the big outsider team there, he's ticked that Fitsy and I aren't jobbing out, he's ticked that you're around here, and what he decided to do was to throw the three of us into an elimination tag against three of his choices. Phillips: I trust there is some angle that he attached to this. Kalb: You know it, he says that if we win, we can go about wrestling as we please in any promotion we like, but if we lose, he'll cast us into the fed of his choice, and that's that. Said we've all been wrecking his matches and that he wants to minimize the damage we do, by doing damage to us. Phillips: That seems rather...underwhelming, considering Midas's usual machinations. He wishes to restrict us to a single promotion, so be it. I am certain that he will indeed bring forth a formidable array of foes for us to face. Undoubtedly, he is aiming to inflict injury upon each and every one of us in this match. Very well then, we shall meet his representatives on the field of battle, and once again, we shall thwart his intentions with aplomb. Fitsharris: We'll kick their asses, whoever they are! Kalb: Fitsy, you were about to crap your pants before you went out to the ring tonight. Fitsharris: Yeah, so? Kalb: Never mind, just never mind... --- Morgan "Midas" Matthews: I have decided that enough is enough. This is why I am delivering this message on this morning, to let everyone know that I have had enough, and there will be consequences. Last night, the top representative of the Office, G.P. Christopher got knocked out, and immediately traveled over to Sakura Pro to lose a match against some rookie I have never heard of. This is intolerable. While the Board of Directors has informed me that we do not change the Number One Ranking without a specific match, I have taken personal action here with the top five to rectify the situation. Therefore, going into this month's extravaganza, Lariats and Legislators: July '21, Mid-Year Mayham, we will not have anyone in the top ranking. Christopher does not deserve the spot. He may be the hardest worker on the roster, but he is too stupid to realize that when he keeps up this schedule for his own selfish ambition, he hurts the brand that he is supposed to represent. Andronicus Turner does not deserve the spot. He lost his title to an opponent who made his professional wrestling debut against him! Colossus Rhodes is the obvious pick, but the Board will not accept him. Therefore, we will enter into this month's ranking with only four ranked individuals. Only four! And to fix this, at Lariats, we will have a four person tournament to determine who will then become our Number One. Turner and Christopher will fight for one half of the bracket, and the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight title winner between Rhodes and Jean-Pierre Mutombo will determine who else meets in the main event to figure out the next Number One. We need to hold our talent to a higher standard around here! And this is exactly what this tournament will do! --- On Saturday morning's Ring Beholder podcast, Dave Doolittle addressed his appearance at ringside for Golden Touch, talking with special guest, Grapevine Wrestling Journal founder and esteemed combat sports historian, Bill Wade. Digital Dave Doolittle: So I know that a lot of you are tuning in here to hear just why I showed up at Golden Touch last night. And I know that I usually go over my ratings later on in their own segment, but I think for this one, I'll make an exception. But before all of that, I have one of the most esteemed founders of the IWC here, the man who started the Grapevine Wrestling Journal, Bill Wade. Bill Wade: Thank you for having me here on the Ring Beholder, Dave. Digital Dave: My pleasure, Bill. Wade: Now, we all know that you hate having people at ringside for a match. I think I'm speaking for a lot of people when I ask you what made you want to accompany G.P. Christopher at ringside last night. Digital Dave: As it is, GPC and I have been well acquainted for some time. There was a time I proclaimed him to be the best worker in the world, that he could wrestle the proverbial broomstick to a ninety percenter, but that time is not now. But Christopher has thought that I've been purposefully rating him low lately, and has said he could rate matches better than me. Wade: Oh no, I think I know where this is going, and I don't like it. Digital Dave: Look, if GPC thinks he can do my job, maybe I can see if I can do his. So I've been working the last few months with Daniel Ness in the Dwight Gym. And I figured that was the perfect time to see what I'm up against, up close and personal. Wade: Dave, you're fifty some years old, I don't care how good of shape you're in, how much you lift, the fact of the matter is that you never wrestled in your life, what are you thinking? Digital Dave: You know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking I might as well make this official. I'm challenging GPC to the Preliminary Main Event of Night One for Lariats July '21. And I'm challenging him to give me a match that I'll be willing to rate at least eighty five percent or higher. Wade: Speaking of match ratings, you gave the match that you yourself took part in at a measly seventy percent. Digital Dave: I did. Wade: At least nobody can say you were biased in that regard. Digital Dave: As you know, I take this very seriously. My rating percentages are the benchmark for how a large portion of the fanbase evaluates their perception of the industry. That wouldn't be the case if I lacked integrity in how I went about the process. And that match just wasn't very good, even with the names involved. For one, there was little chemistry between the boxers and the wrestlers. They didn't work the same match with each other. Andronicus Turner tried for a bit, but he looked out of place working headlocks more than throwing jabs. Hobo Harry was a non-entity for the most part. The knockout came far too quickly and prevented us from seeing multiple matchups in the match itself. And I had to knock it down some more for having a superfluous second at ringside. Wade: Harsh, but fair. I don't agree with your view on managers and seconds. I think that they add more than they subtract, more often than not. There's an art to what a good manager brings to the table that I believe is almost lost to today's product. But your criteria is consistent, I will give you that. Digital Dave: Anyway, I think we've wasted enough time on this subject. As I understand, you have a new book coming out in a month or so, talking about the intersection between shoot style pro wrestling and early Japanese mixed martial arts...

The last PEWA event before the monumental Lariats July '21 takes place at the end of the month promises more of the promotion's usual bloody battles, including Anwar Omar's first defense of the Ruler of the Road, a massive Crew Carnage showdown and the return of the Insanitarium cage. PEWA: The Rage Before the Storm8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, July 2nd at the Halcyon Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA Main Event: PEWA Extreme Title #1 Contender Bout Texas Rose vs. P-DoggTexas Rose's strong performance in last month's battle royale put her in good standing for a future title shot, but with the Running Diamond Cutter Man defending against Juliette Erving at Lariats, Rose found herself looking for one more match to solidify her status as the top contender. With the original PEWA Extreme champion, P-Dogg having turned back the clock in a match of the year contender against Steve Phillips later in the night, Rose found her foe. Rose may be the clear favorite here with her crisp striking and technical skill setting her apart, but P-Dogg's grit, determination and willingness to resort to classic hardcore tactics may make him a live Dogg in this one. Crew Carnage The Warbringers(Demarcus Browning(Rose Garden) and Moustapha Ndour) and Powers and Fury(Luke Powers and Jack Fury) vs. PEWA's Most Hated("Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde and Jeffrey Janson) and the Sheridan Brothers(Vincent Sheridan and Zach Sheridan)(Phoenix Rising)Originally slated to team with Mina Fitsharris and Jose Marin before their rematch with the PEWA Extreme Tag titles on the line, Powers and Fury will instead team with their future challengers in a Crew Carnage match against a combustible team of the PEWA's Most Hated and the Sheridans. Crew Carnage matches, a longtime PEWA staple, feature a four on four tornado elimination ruleset, and both teams of uneasy allies will have to find common ground to navigate the chaos. Ruler of the Road Bout Anwar Omar(C) vs. FENYANGTwo Pan African alumni will fight for the Ruler of the Road on this Friday, with the champion, the Somalian Survivor, Anwar Omar looking at a challenge from the Botswanan Heavy Metal Cowboy, FENYANG. Omar has looked to lock down the belt with his trademark side headlock hold and incredible willpower, but FENYANG brings a unique blend of attacks with the daring Aces High diving headbutt, and should present a difficult night for Omar. Running Diamond Cutter Man and Hobo Harry vs. Senator Emeritus Steve Phillips and Annie ChangOn the verge of a big time title defense against Juliette Erving, Jose Marin will team up with the man he knocked out to earn the PEWA Extreme title in Hobo Harry, going up against Erving's Wild Women protege, Annie Chang, and in a most unusual team, the former Senator Steve Phillips, as well. While this is on paper a basic tuneup match for the RDCM, Annie Chang has shown the ability to score a massive upset here and there, and Phillips has been in strong form in his return. Insanitarium Match Mina Fitsharris vs. The Hindu Sheik(CAWF)The legendary Hindu Sheik again rolls into town, this time, following up on the confrontation from last month's big eight person tag as he meets the veteran brawler, Mina Fitsharris within the confines of the Insanitarium cage. Both the Sheik and Fitsharris have dropped questionable losses in the current year, and both will undoubtedly be looking to score a big rebound and earn a notable win in this match. The violence of the Insanitarium should suit both well, with the one main prediction standing true: blood and wreckage will be the order of the night. Light Tube Deathmatch Big Clay Hurst(Wrestle Parade) vs. Tomas the Tiny GiantTwo of the most beloved big men in the PEWA's orbit will face off here in Tomas's signature match. Big Clay Hurst flies the Wrestle Parade banner, but has been a well-liked and frequently booked member of the Highway Outlaw Wrestling roster into its absorption into the PEWA, and remains one of the best big men performers in the game. Being able to beat Tomas should catapult Hurst back into contention for the Ruler of the Road at the very least, while Tomas also seeks to carry on momentum from his win over Zanca in his last showing. The Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) vs. Mr. and Mrs. Brown(Bodybreaker Brown and Downtown Lucy Brown)The Mutants haven't lost a step since their return following Skullface's lengthy injury layoff, and will go up against a respected team in fellow PEWA Original, Bodybreaker Brown and former Extreme champion Downtown Lucy Brown in the husband and wife team of Mr. and Mrs. Brown. Bodybreaker Brown has shown Nightmare Clown(Lucha POWER) vs. Sir Vladimir Henry vs. Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint vs. Dr. Trace Gibson vs. The Equalizer vs. ZancaA big cluster mess of an opener awaits the PEWA fans as six vastly varying foes will match up in an over the top royale. Between the submission skills of the Equalizer and Trace Gibson, the wild antics of Zanca and Nightmare Clown or the veteran confidence of Mint and Henry, whoever emerges from this should be in good standing going forward.

Biff Taylor: Look out, dudes and dudettes, your friendly neighborhood Biffmeister's here again at Pat's King of Steaks to promote tonight's big bad event, PEWA, the Rage Before the Storm! An' with me here, I got the ol' Senator himself... Senator Emeritus Steve Phillips: Former. Former Senator. Biff: Er, the ol' Former Senator himself, Steve Phillips and our very own Cowpunk Rebel, the gal who's gonna see him in the ring tonight, Annie Chang! Annie Chang: Hey there, everybody! You heard what he said! I'm gonna get real up close and personal with a Senator tonight! Don't get jealous, Aoife Daley! I'm just "borrowing" him for tonight, you can have him back afterwards...maybe... Phillips: Ahem. We are merely having a professional wrestling match, in the ring, at the Halcyon Ballroom. And you should know better than to draw the ire of Aoife. Such actions are contradictory with the survival instincts inherent to the human psyche. Annie: Eh what? You know you want this! Or are you saying I'm not good enough for a blueblooded politician like you. Phillips: Former. Former politician. And I believe this has gone on long enough. Do tell Ms. Erving that your amusing little display has served its purpose, and that I wish her the best of luck when she faces your teammate for tonight at Lariats. Annie: Aw, how'd you know she put me up to this? Phillips: I have known your mentor for some time, and you have obviously been operating out of her playbook. While I appreciate the jest, I warn you that both you and Mr. Marin will receive no easy treatment upon our match tonight. Biff: Anyway, yeah, I know, I know, you had to do that, Annie, but let's move this along! We got a big time contender match in our main event tonight! Texas Rose and P-Dogg both got their eyes on the Extreme, an' they'll face off to see who's the one to challenge after Lariats! We have Crew Carnage, a PEWA specialty, the Warbringers and the champs, Powers and Fury up against those irritating Sheridans and those infuriating idiots, Janson and Wylde! We got the Ruler of the Road on the line every single month, and this ain't no exception! It's the Somalian Surivor Anwar Omar! It's the Botswanan Heavy Metal Cowboy, FENYANG! And it's tonight! Not only that, but Mina Fitsharris and the motherfriggin' Hindu Sheik got some unfinished business, an' because that's something we don't want to spread too far, we're throwin' them both in the Insanitarium cage! And you know what? That's just the tip of the iceberg! So strap yourselves in, get psyched and tune into the Senatorial Streamin' Service right at eight o' clock, Central Time, 'cause that's when things get going! www.twitch.tv/senatorphillipsBiff: And just because we start the party don't mean the party stops when we stop! Keep the engine runnin', cause Sakura Pro's pickin' up where we're droppin' off! That big bad Grand Prix is still kickin' with GPC tryin', strivin', cryin' for a win, but he's gonna have to overcome some hurts to do that, because he's got Tim Hurts! We got big time matches in the International Block! Ryujin an' his everlovin' lotations against Besos an' her everlovin...lovin'! Dragon Rosa's got speed an' skill, but Blake Storm's got rawboned western power! Choppu Arai has been awesome for a dude around my age range, but can he beat the kicks, subs and CAPS of SATOMI? I dunno about that! Pink Justice is gettin' served...or is it, because Ryo Harada'll have to beat Tiger Lily to do that, an' on her best day, she beats folks like Young Blood...and I gotta thank her again for that! And then we got a certified legend, Darkness HAGE an' he's up against one of the most dangerous lil' goth ladies who ever lived, Strawberry Sookie! Alright that's all for the Internationals, but the Golden Blossoms pick up again here, with the Emerald Emperor, the reincarnation of ol' Misawa himself, Kaito Arai up against the Rose Garden's surefire first ballot hall o' famer dragon, Drakaina! Desire's a lady who takes after our own way, an' she's got the leader of the Knife himself, Satsujin! Then you got my man, one half of our former champs, the Warbringer, Moustapha Ndour an' he's got another ZIP icon, the Go-Go Gaijin, the Ace, Justin Starr! You'd think that was the main event, but nah, Sakura keeps thrown' more at ya, because we got the supercharged superfriend, Bryson King an' we got the giantslayer, Jessie Andrews to close out what's gotta be one hellova night of wrestlin'! An' if you didn't get bumped on over from the Office, just shoot onto Sakura right here: www.twitch.tv/EWGF_JestaBiff: Alright then! Whew! Think I'll go on over to Pat's and chug a root beer, gotta get my voice back! Annie: Hey, buy me one, too, I'm thirsty! Phillips: And I do believe that leaves me here...one should never leave an old former politician by himself at an open podium...but I shall be merciful and merely implore one and all to enjoy tonight's grandiose display of the combat arts. If you are a true connoisseur of professional wrestling, you know what you have to look forward to. I believe it will be well worth your time, and that, my friends is nothing...but the truth.

A solid event from the PEWA with all the usual staples of the organization on full display and a number of standout matches on the card. RESULTS PEWA: The Rage Before the Storm 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday, July 2nd at the Halcyon Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA Bonus Match Florida Man vs. Shrimp Simpson(ENHANCE) Want to see twenty minutes of sheer nonsense? Check this one out. Florida Man did Florida Man things, Shrimp Simpson kept it lively on his behalf, and things seemed to drag on for eternity before the PEWA's resident Floridian received a gift wrapped pinfall when Shrimp attempted a scoop slam only for his legs to give out mid way through the attempt, resulting in Florida Man landing on top for the three. Main Event: PEWA Extreme Title #1 Contender Bout Texas Rose vs. P-Dogg Full credit to P-Dogg for managing to avoid a blowout loss, but Texas Rose was not to be deterred and roundly outclassed the first Extreme champ, even stealing the Red Dogg Ultra elevated double underhook DDT onto a chair, batting away a chair toss from the Dogg later on and mixing up sharp kicks, a brutal brainbuster and various flash pins before settling on a ground crucifix pin to finish the match and confirm her contendership status. P-Dogg may not have threatened a victory at any point, but he did open a cut and demonstrated that he still belongs in the promotion's upper echelon. Crew Carnage The Warbringers(Demarcus Browning(Rose Garden) and Moustapha Ndour) and Powers and Fury(Luke Powers and Jack Fury) vs. PEWA's Most Hated("Party Animal" Jeremy Wylde and Jeffrey Janson) and the Sheridan Brothers(Vincent Sheridan and Zach Sheridan)(Phoenix Rising) This was...not the finest hour for the Most Hated and the Sheridans. Before long, both of the Most Hated were finished. Janson met his fate at the hands of Moustapha Ndour's feared reverse chokeslam, knocked out from the impact. Directly afterwards and Wylde would also be dispatched by Ndour, this time, by the Obliteration Machine pumphandle side slam, although that would only be a pinfall. Only ten minutes in, and the Sheridas found themselves in a two on four situation. Demarcus Browning's assisted Browning Buster would defeat Vincent Sheridan, and Zach was the last man standing for his team, almost escaping a big corner whip attack from the whole opposition, but got knocked down by one last charge from Ndour and Browning would bring things to a halt with a Croyt's Wrath style electric chair German. Ruler of the Road Bout Anwar Omar(C) vs. FENYANG Former Pan African Wrestling head referee, Mali's Kemo Diouf made a guest appearance as the third man in the ring for this title bout. While Anwar Omar put up a competent defense for his belt, FENYANG entered into this match with a chip on his shoulder and a determination to make his name in the PEWA, and that is exactly what the result was here, as the Heavy Metal Cowboy from Botswana fought through Omar's relentless side headlocks, firing back with double arm facebusters and eventually hit his trademark swan dive headbutt off the top, Aces High to earn the three count victory and the Ruler of the Road title. Running Diamond Cutter Man and Hobo Harry vs. Senator Emeritus Steve Phillips and Annie Chang It was clear in this one that Jose Marin was primarily concerned about avoiding injury and preserving himself for his title defense at the end of the month. On the other hand, Annie Chang was more than up for the moment, and gave a great fight to Hobo and Phillips, even coming close at one point with her lifting complete shot "And She Got the Upset!," but in the end, the experience and savvy of Hobo Harry was too much, landing a Hobosault at the right place and the right time to get the pinfall victory over Chang. Insanitarium Match Mina Fitsharris vs. The Hindu Sheik(CAWF) An absolutely ferocious fight from the opening bell with Fitsharris hitting an early Midnight Special leaping complete shot and Sheik answering with his own power moves. There was no respite from the fury for over twenty minutes within the cage as Sheik and Fitsharris battered each other with weapons, Sheik landing a memorable sledgehammer shot on Mina as she leapt in for another Special and just when it seemed as if this one may have been going into another classic Mina Marathon battle, Fitsharris would land a brass knuckles punch to finish the bout. A great match for two beloved competitors who had not quite been at their best leading into this one, with a huge win for Fitsharris and a great showing for the Hindu Sheik. Light Tube Deathmatch Big Clay Hurst(Wrestle Parade) vs. Tomas the Tiny Giant PEWA fans know at this point to expect quality matches out of Clay Hurst, and this was no exception. Tomas and Hurst went toe to toe on a rambunctious hoss fight of a brawl with this one, as the Tiny Giant shattered many light tubes and Big Clay featured his trademark power attack. With multiple powerbombs, boots and elbow drops, it seemed that Clay may have achieved a lead down the stretch, but two events would change the trajectory of the conclusion, with Tomas throwing Hurst into the landmines later on, and Clay's stamina running out. A chokeslam and a pendulum slam later, and a gassed out Hurst would take the three count as Tomas barely escaped with a difficult victory in his own favorite match. The New Mutants(PM Carnage and The EMP) with The Bingo Hall Mutants(Rampage Rage and Skullface Killah) vs. Mr. and Mrs. Brown(Bodybreaker Brown and Downtown Lucy Brown) Just as the Bingo Hall Mutants made their entrance, Rampage rage took a microphone and addressed the Halcyon Ballroom: Rampage Rage: Just a minute! We told Biff to save a spot for the Mutants tonight! We ain't tellin' him then, but we ain't the Mutants who're gonna wrestle tonight! These two guys, they've trained with us, with Bodybreaker, with Hobo, an' we're ready to show you two of the baddest young guns off the streets of Philly, PM Carnage, The EMP, the New Mutants! The New Mutants made a strong first impression here, more than holding their own against one of the PEWA's steadiest teams. While Bodybreaker Brown would draw blood, it only seemed to fire up both rookies, with PM Carnage delivering a diving Steel Nightmare chair smash off the top and the EMP would catch the PEWA Original with a destructive combo, hitting a running back body drop before running up again and knocking him out cold with his catching scoop powerslam, the EMPowerslam. With the original Mutants at ringside, this could not have been a better debut for Carnage and EMP, who instantly look like a legit threat in the PEWA's already-stacked tag division. Over the Top Royale Nightmare Clown(Lucha POWER) vs. Sir Vladimir Henry vs. Sylvain "Pay Day" Mint vs. Dr. Trace Gibson vs. The Equalizer vs. Zanca vs. Opaque vs. Skurai This one moved at lightspeed even with two added competitors in Opaque and Skurai thrown in. Sylvain Mint was ejected in just over a minute, and the match evened out until Zanca was tossed out by Dr. Gibson. From there, Sir Vlad was shockingly pinned after a brutal neckbreaker variant from Opaque, who would find herself sent out a little while later, directly followed by Nightmare Clown. The last stretch featured Dr. Gibson, the Equalizer and Skurai, with Gibson applying an intricate submission to eliminate the Equalizer, only to find himself knocked out by Skurai's Ninja Ambush cutter directly afterwards. The Hardcore Ninja would then pin the already-defeated Equalizer without even realizing that he had actually already won the match in a standout performance. --- Match of the Night: Fitsharris vs. Sheik -The Hindu Sheik and Mina Fitsharris fought like a pair of trapped animals inside the Insanitarium and produced a fast paced, hard hitting match in the process. Performer of the Night: FENYANG -The Heavy Metal Cowboy didn't just win the Ruler of the Road, but managed to push through the determined will of Anwar Omar in the process, and as such, is the Performer of the Night --- Injury Report Dr. Trace Gibson: Whiplash (One Month Medical Suspension) -Dr. Gibson took a Ninja Ambush cutter from Skurai at the end of the opener, and thankfully, the doctor will be back in action sooner than not, having what seems to be a fairly mild case of whiplash. Bodybreaker Brown: Bruised Rib (One Month Medical Suspension) -A massive powerslam from the debuting EMP finished the Bodybreaker, and it seems that he'll have a month to contemplate his loss as he recuperates from a bruised rib. Jeffrey Janson: Moderate Concussion (Three Month Medical Suspension) -The Runway Icon and former Extreme champ took a reverse chokeslam from Moustapha Ndour, and as can happen from the move, has his brains scrambled from the impact. Janson will miss three months on the Office's standard concussion protocol. --- Annie Chang: You didn't do anything out there! Not one of those big fancy Running Diamond Cutters from the Running Diamond Cutter Man! Come on, you're supposed to be the champ! I carried our team! I did it all! Running Diamond Cutter Man: Hey, lady, you told me you wanted to do that! You told me you wanted to fight both of them by yourself! Annie: Yeah, so? RDCM: So I let you do what you wanted to do! You should be happy! Annie: I'll be happy when Juliette kicks your ass and takes your belt! RDCM: Ain't happening. Annie: You got nothing for her! RDCM: I got a few cutters with her name on them, that's what I got. She's gonna feel the bang. Annie: Eww, look, she doesn't swing that way, alright! RDCM: Eh, what? Annie: Juliette's gonna get you good! RDCM: If you say so...still doesn't make it true. --- Rampage Rage: That's what I'm talkin' about! That's what I'm talkin' about! You two went out there and you kicked ass, took names and made your damn names! That's how you step into the Halcyon and show the world what's up! Skullface Killah: Earned some steaks! Rampage: We got you some good ones grillin' here, and Skullface's dead on! You earned it! The EMP: Yeah, we earned it, we crushed them. Threw Bodybreaker through the mat. Rampage: Now, you two, hot damn, do you suck at promos! Gonna have to work with you on that! PM Carnage: Who cares about talking. We're, um, fighters. Rampage: Sheeeit, you two make Skullface sound like the Rock! All cool, you come in, wrestle like a pair of champs! But you wanna go somewhere in this thing, you gotta be able to talk the talk, Biff ain't gonna give you the rocket push if you don't sell your damn matches! Skullface: Sell 'em good! Rampage: You need that hype, you need that fire! You two come in here, an' nobody knows who the hell you are! They gotta have a reason to give a shit! Carnage: Why? EMP: We won, who cares? Rampage: You gotta give 'em a reason! Or they'll look at you like Janson and Wylde, yeah, they can go in the ring, but they're wack an' they don't fit in, an' the fans know it! Look, we ain't gonna be able to do this forever, an' we wanna see two Philly locals like you guys step into our boots! We want you to be the Mutants we know you can be! You guys worked your asses off for several years in our trainin' camp! You got your balls busted by Bodybreaker an' Hobo an' us, an' we ain't lettin' you off the hook! All that work is gonna pay off, an' we're gonna make sure of it! Skullface: Make damn sure! Rampage: So eat your damn steaks, and you two better start workin' serious on the talkin' thing! Got it? Good!

With both Jean-Pierre Mutombo and Colossus Rhodes fighting for the Lone Star and the Number One and Salvador Sosa and El Experto finishing the Rudo Army-Rudo EX feud for once and for all in a Lucha de Apuestas, this event may be the prelude, but should put forth its own major developments with a Dominican Golden Championship bout headlining a tension filled night for some of Texas's finest. TIPWF: The Showdown Before the Showdown8:00 PM on Friday, July 9th at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX Main Event: Dominican Golden Championship Bout Canadian Grizzly(C) vs. Hailey CometHaving earned her shot by defeating Margarita Morales, Hailey Comet will now take her chances against arguably the current top star of the brand in the Dominican Golden Champion, Canadian Grizzly. Comet may have had a slow return to form since having her child last year, but has looked as good as ever lately, while the Grizzly has seemed nearly unbeatable since winning his belt, as many have speculated that the high standards of the Golden Championship's competition has made it an even more valuable prize than the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight title during the reign. Both are top specialists in their own right, with Comet's high flying and Grizzly's mat game both standing out, but each have multiple layers to their own game, as Comet can brawl surprisingly well, taking after her father, and Grizzly has a variety of match ending methods aside from his feared Dungeon Sharpshooter, as adept with a flash pin or brutal piledrivers as with submissions. The Showdown before the Showdown The New Humanity with Salvador Sosa vs. Itzcoatl Hernandez with El ExpertoA proxy battle with Esteban Vargas standing in for Salvador Sosa and the Aztec Executioner in for El Experto as the two stable leaders prepare for their mask vs. stable Lucha de Apuestas match at Lariats. The supreme athleticism of the New Humanity will be tested against the extreme violence of Hernandez in this one, and while Hernandez may have the experience edge, Vargas has two successive wins over Colossus Rhodes and Steve Phillips and has to be the clear favorite here. Colossus Rhodes, Poison Froggy Mask and Julio Rivera vs. Senator Emeritus Steve Phillips, El Hijo de Macchiato and Professor Mark GizengaA showcase rules six person tag with Steve Phillips forming a coalition with the Caffeinated Luchador and the Congolese Professor to go against a Rudo EX team headed by the Lone Star champ, Colossus Rhodes. With Jean-Pierre Mutombo sitting out from the event to prepare for his title bout against Rhodes in the Number One Ranking tournament, his teammate in the Congolese Connection, Gizenga will stand in his place, while Macchiato loyally represents the Rudo Army. As the tension between Rudo EX and the rest of the TIPWF seems to be at an all time high, this match could either serve as a brutal warmup for Colossus's attempt at regaining the Number One Ranking, or be a harbinger of brighter days for the foes of the stable. TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout Leander Grey(Phoenix Rising)(C) vs. Commissioner Walt CallahanLeander Grey has not only been a fighting champion since defeating Johnny Sixname for the Old Guard Championship, but has been an absolute force, entirely nullifying the generally unrestrained violence of Cruiser Khan and looking to be the third notable champ in the belt's history after the ZIP duo of Wataru Nakajima and Newfie George. He will almost certainly be sorely tested this time around, however, as the TIPWF Commissioner, Walt Callahan has booked himself for a shot at the title following his own knockout win over Duke Cogburn last month. Grey's merciless brainbuster and killer sharpshooter have set him above the rest of the division's veterans to date, but Callahan's heavy hands and willingness to bend the rules could even the odds. Cogburn Ranch(Cowboy Johnston, Generalissimo Kool Q and Hoss Hank Harcourt Hadley Jr.) vs. High Plains Drifters(Marcos Angulo, Johnny Sixname and ???)With Walt Callahan otherwise occupied, the other two Drifters take on a Cogburn Ranch team that is undoubtedly out for vengeance after the Commissioner knocked out Duke Cogburn. Cowboy Johnston leads the team in after a less than inspiring run in the Warrior Pro G2 league, but a massive pinfall victory over Doc Wyatt in tag action should have considerably rebuilt his confidence, enough so to take charge with the rugged hip hop pioneer, Kool Q and the fresh faced rookie, 4-H teaming along. The Drifters are short a man on the card, but reports have it that Callahan has procured a third teammate to step in for this match. Rodeo Royale Martina Martinez vs. The Everyman vs. Gorilla Power vs. Roland Chang III vs. Felix Santana III vs. Margarita MoralesA six person over the top rules royale with representatives from six of the TIPWF's factions, from the EWO to the Blue Collar Brawlers to the Animal Farm to the Roland Chang Trio to the Santana Home Team to Rudo EX, with the winner of this match securing a possible shot at the Dynasty Cyclones and the TIPWF Lone Star Trios titles for their respective team. Felice Santana vs. Tornado Allie(Typhoon Pro)A sheer force of nature will arrive in the TIPWF as Tornado Allie goes up against the ever-popular high flying sensation, Felice Santana. Allie's explosive attacks could well blow Santana away before she gets started here, but if Felice can focus in, this match could well be a lock for match of the night honors. El Froggy Mask vs. Vice VersaTwo of the most exciting regulars in the TIPWF look to get the Stockade hopping away from the beginning with the second Froggy Mask up against the EWO's dynamic luchadora, Vice Versa. Both Froggy and Versa have been looking more towards the trios scene as of late, with Froggy's mishmash grouping with MWWC's Mallard and Rodeo Angel finding some success and Versa's EWO working more as a team, but this match should give both competitors a brief respite to cut loose in singles action, a thrilling prospect for many fans.[/b]

A quality show that may not have delivered any MOTY candidates, but did serve up a rock solid night of action from start to finish for the Amarillo audience. RESULTS TIPWF: The Showdown Before the Showdown 8:00 PM on Friday, July 9th at the Stockade in Amarillo, TX Bonus Match Corrina "Cobra" Schwall vs. Luchador Sorpresa The newest member of the Animal Farm stable happens to be Corinna Schwall, a woman who grew up entranced by classic WWF wrestling and idolizing Jake Roberts in particular. She made a strong impression, but against Luchador Sorpresa, more was needed, as the always-available luchador pushed the pace. Schwall hit her trademark Roberts-style DDT, but failed to pin, seemingly injuring her wrist, and shortly after, Sorpresa would connect on a diving rana into a biceps slicer submission, taking full advantage to hand Schwall a tough loss on her debut showing. Main Event: Dominican Golden Championship Bout Canadian Grizzly(C) vs. Hailey Comet With a mutual show of respect in each competitor donning the famous Hart Family pink and black attack colors, Canadian Grizzly and Hailey Comet engaged in a solid, competitive match, with Comet hitting her high risk attacks and countering the Dungeon Sharpshooter, but Grizzly has quietly stepped into the elite class of the Office in the past year, and a flying cazadora rollup would again demonstrate his technical excellence with a three count. The Showdown before the Showdown The New Humanity with Salvador Sosa vs. Itzcoatl Hernandez with El Experto Rudo EX and the Rudo Army met one last time before the landmark Lucha de Apuestas match at the end of this month, and here, both Hernandez and Vargas were in fine form, but the New Humanity has clearly taken his career to a new level since joining up with Salvador Sosa and showed a more canny set of instincts here than he has in the past, hitting the spectacular dives including a rana to the outside, but making them count, especially one final shooting star press to put things away. Will this be a harbinger of events to come, or can El Experto keep his mask at Lariats? Colossus Rhodes, Poison Froggy Mask and Julio Rivera vs. Senator Emeritus Steve Phillips, El Hijo de Macchiato and Professor Mark Gizenga Morgan Matthews has not gained much enjoyment out of watching his top stars as of late. Whether one considers Young Blood's utter indifference to his role, to John Logan's outspoken statements, to the failings of Colossus Rhodes, Midas has seen a group that, on paper, should be the most dominant in all of wrestling turn into a laughing stock. And here, the diverse coalition of Steve Phillips, Professor Gizenga and Macchiato ripped into the Rudo EX team with a joyful intensity, Gizenga's submissions leaving a mark and Macchiato showing his mighty power by hitting a high crotch lift side arm slam, the Wack Up and Smell the Coffee on the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight champion, earning a clean three count. TIPWF Old Guard Championship Bout Leander Grey(Phoenix Rising)(C) vs. Commissioner Walt Callahan There can be no question now, if there ever was one, that Walt Callahan is a man to be feared. Having knocked out Duke Cogburn last month with his Magnum Force brass knuckles punch, Callahan put on a display of absolute disdain for the rulebook as he repeatedly struck Leander Grey below the belt and stomped away with ruthless fury before the Magnum Force struck again before the ten mintue mark, making the TIPWF Commissioner the new Old Guard champion. Leander Grey was reportedly irate after the match, but instead of speaking with the press, the Sentarl patriarch merely left a sealed note on Callahan's desk before leaving the Stockade. Cogburn Ranch(Cowboy Johnston, Generalissimo Kool Q and Hoss Hank Harcourt Hadley Jr.) vs. High Plains Drifters(Marcos Angulo, Johnny Sixname and ???) With the Commissioner busy with his own title challenge, the High Plains Drifters picked up a guest member, who happened to be none other than their old rival from Warrior Pro, the Jackson Hole Outlaw's very own Showtime Byron Worthy. Worthy proved to be an instrumental teammate for Angulo and Sixname, and the Drifters cruised on to a win with Marcos Angulo pinning Generalissimo Kool Q with a huge german suplex. Rodeo Royale Martina Martinez vs. The Everyman vs. Gorilla Power vs. Roland Chang III vs. Felix Santana III vs. Margarita Morales Gorilla Power - Ringout - 2:33 Martina Martinez - Ringout - 4:02 Roland Chang III - Ringout - 7:59 Margarita Morales - Ringout - 11:39 Felix Santana III - Slingshot Suplex(Pinfall) - 14:37 One of the fastest moving matches of the night, with bodies flying out of the ring every few minutes. Gorilla Power and Martina Martinez barely had any time in the ring, and it seemed every time the crowd got behind another wrestler, it led directly to their elimination. Eventually, it came down to the Everyman and Felix III, with Felix surviving a Union Label standing guillotine and Everyman kicking out of Santana's fireman carry slam before hitting a slingshot suplex out of the corner to earn the win for the Blue Collar Brawlers. Felice Santana vs. Tornado Allie(Typhoon Pro) Felice was in excellent form, keeping pace with the Typhoon Pro special guest for the duration of the match, landing some impressive combos along the way along with the Santana Sky step up moonsault press. But when you're up against a force of nature, sometimes you just have to accept the loss, and Allie fired back with her own aggressive spinning roughhousing style, with a rolling elbow sealing the deal. El Froggy Mask vs. Vice Versa El Froggy took a big leap ahead in his career with this substantial victory, roundly outwrestling the veteran Vice Versa before finishing with a flipping corkscrew neckbreaker. Perhaps the best overall showing of the second Froggy Mask to date. --- Match of the Night: Felice Santana vs. Tornado Allie -A fairly easy call, with both Santana and Allie bringing their best to this matchup, which went back and forth until the final bell. Performer of the Night: Walt Callahan -Winning the Old Guard title with frightening efficiency against one of the best the division has ever seen gives the boss this award. --- Injury Report Corinna Schwall: Sprained Wrist (One Month Medical Suspension) -A rare injury picked up by one's own action, Schwall landed awkwardly with her own DDT and then had her wrist torqued afterwards by Luchador Sorpresa. While she'll not miss much time, even the one month on the shelf should be disappointing for Corinna following a close loss in her debut. --- Kevin Anderson: This is World Wrestling Daily Digest Editor in Chief, Kevin "The Internet" Anderson here with the new Old Guard champion, the TIPWF Commissioner, Walt Callahan. Walt, how does it feel? Walt Callahan: It feels like I won a damn match, how the hell do you think it feels? Anderson: I'm going to be honest here... Callahan: You press types usually lie, so that's nice for a chance. Anderson: But since you've been dealing with your issues with Midas Matthews, it seems that you've done nothing but make enemies on all sides, from Cogburn Ranch, to Golden Touch, to Leander Grey. Callahan: He doesn't like how I do things around here, then tough shit. Anderson: I heard he left you a note on your desk after your match. Callahan: And it's none of your damn business what it said. Anderson: I know you had your issues with the Jackson Hole Outlaws, but you brought Byron Worthy in, how did that happen? Callahan: Simple. I needed someone to do a job. He was available. So he worked with my crew. And it's a two match deal. So he'll be giving 4-H his first singles match at Night One of Lariats. I can work with people if they're willing, even if they pissed me off before. That's business. Anderson: Speaking of business, if Experto wins at Lariats, the Rudo Army disbands. I've heard that the members will be dispersed across multiple promotions. Are you ready to lose them? Callahan: What kind of a shit for brains idiot question is that? If you're asking that sort of thing, I'm done here. Now leave me be so I can finish up my work for the night! --- Salvador Sosa: It's been a good night for the Rudo Army. We won some big time skirmishes. Macchiato, you pinned the Colossus. El Hijo de Macchiato: HE WOKE UP AAAAAAAAAAAND SMELLLED THE COOOOOFFEEEEEE! Sosa: Vargas, you're showing them all that you're not just an athlete, you're a force to be reckoned with, a legit star in pro wrestling. They said you didn't live up to the hype, but they gave up too fast. We know better. We know you're not just living up to it, you're surpassing it. The New Humanity: Just doing what I came here to do. Sosa: And Grizz, my maple leaf man, you still got my belt. That's alright, you earned that damn thing, and far as I'm concerned, far as anyone who matters sees it, that belt means more than the Lone Star. Canadian Grizzly: I am Canadian through to my bones, but I have much love for the Dominican! And for the Golden Championship! Killer King Jones: Just one to go now! Go bust 'im up, Sosa! Megan Chabot: As a Canadian, I want you to take his mask! Sosa: See, it's past due time. For too long, we let El Experto get away with stabbing us in the back, putting us down, getting in our way. We played it nice. And to be fair, we don't do a great job the rudo thing anymore. We got our shot at the top, and we have our friends and we stopped pushing against the flow. That's just the cycle of life. You fight the man, you beat the man, you become the man. But there's one thing with us. We don't forget that we were all misfits, rejects, outcasts. We still carry some of that with us every time we step in the ring. We know where we came from. And just because the Santanas did right by us, and just because the fans got our back, doesn't mean we don't still got that chip on our shoulders. Sosa: That's what Experto gets wrong. He thinks being rudo means you have to be an asshole, you have to turn your back on good people, you have to always keep the churn going. Nah. That's not me. That's not the Rudo Army. We do things our way, no matter who's got a problem with it, or doesn't have a problem with it. And I'm sick and tired of dealing with Experto always trying to kill our chill. You keep poking and prodding, some day you get paid in full for that. And that's at Lariats. Experto, we're finishing this, once and for all. I'm coming to take your mask home with me, and let everyone see your busted old face before you limp back into retirement. You want to play games...just be ready for what comes next. --- El Experto: (Translated from Spanish) <One. One match counts. Only one. July thirty. Everything that has happened before now counts for absolutely nothing. All the fights, the struggles were for nothing. All the energy expended on meaningless trifles will be for nothing. Because once the events of July thirty are over, Colossus Rhodes will still be the TIPWF Lone Star Heavyweight champion. He will be the Senatorial Office Number One again. And the Rudo Army will be disbanded forever. Salvador Sosa thinks he is in the driver's seat. But he has no brakes. His wheel does not move. He is right where I have always wanted him.> Experto: <This mask has been the sigil of the Worldwide Luchador for over thirty years now. It is the singular most important prize in all of Lucha Libre! Does this upstart believe he can simply rip it from my face like some trophy! He has not studied the situation! He does not understand what he is in for! I will stop at nothing within the confines of the Steel Corral to keep what is mine and to destroy the false pretenders! You will see then that I know exactly what I am speaking about!> --- Senator Emeritus Steve Phillips: That, I must say, was an exhilarating experience to say the least. Witnessing the incredible might of caffeinated Lucha Libre and the remarkable intricacies of Professor Gizenga's knowledge, first hand, that is why I returned to this ring. My teammates deserve all the plaudits that they receive, and many more. Phillips: But while I had a need to speak on that topic, there is one other that requires my attention before I withdraw for the evening. It has come to my attention that I have not yet officially thrown my name in the hat for the potential Warriorversary matchup against my old foe, Lefty McDaniel. It is true that I had informally accepted my participation in the matchup. But alas, one of the myriad drawbacks to having now found myself without a personal staff to handle my professional dealings, is that sometimes the requisite necessities of a deal no longer "take care of themselves," but require my direct involvement. Phillips: And as such, I will unequivocally and officially state that I intend to face Mr. McDaniel at Warriorversary, let there be no further questions on my intent concerning this matter. I wish to face him once again, on one of the grandest stages in wrestling, and I do so, rejuvenated and prepared. That, my friends, is nothing...but the truth.

L-Pro and Wacker Drive take a detour to Sapporo for a night that, more than anything, serves to set up the major confrontations to come. Wacker Drive Revival x Lightning Pro: Lightning Strikes in Hokkaido8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, July 16th at the Hokkaido Prefectural Gymnasium in Sapporo, Japan Main Event: Victorious Medal Contender Tournament Final Winner of Gear vs. Toukgawa vs. Winner of Maeda vs. MehrmohammdiAlthough G.P. Christopher will miss this show as he prepares for his own four person tournament entry at Lariats July '21 with the Office Number One up for grabs, four wrestlers will compete here for the next shot at the Victorious Medal in the future. Final Roadblock Iceberg with Freight Train McMichaelson, Daunte Thomas and Astrid Johannson vs. Yetunde Oya with King Bemba, Mr. Moonsault and Esther MusambiOne match away from challenging King Bemba for The Loop, Iceberg will have one last match with Bemba's Royal Advisor, the mysterious Yetunde Oya. Undefeated in televised action at this point across multiple promotions, Iceberg has stepped into the void left from Mr. Moonsault's defection from the D-Team, and now leads the stable right towards Bemba's Royal Court. Oya, undersized that she may be, is not considered a pushover, with her infamous trickery and myriad submission techniques making her a threat even to much larger, younger opponents. Shogun(Rose Garden) vs. Yuriko MasamuneOnly a few weeks away from the Reformation's shot at the Victorious Tag Medals, and Shogun will face the Destructive Duo's mentor, the legendary Yuriko Masamune in singles action to prepare. Clearly furious over his controversial stoppage loss against Kevin Fitsharris in a tag match on the prior Golden Touch, Shogun will have a chance to reestablish his dreadful aura against Masamune, who is one of L-Pro's all time greats, and still a viable competitor even at this phase in her career, even if her main focus has shifted towards the Dojo. Shogun, in his own right, is seen by many as the Rose Garden's all time greatest, an influence on many careers. Interestingly, the Burning Hammer, rare that it may be for each, is a known weapon for each of the two. Harada(Rose Garden) vs. Takayuki UedaThe L-Pro Dojo's delegate will have a fearsome challenge ahead of himself on this night as he faces none other than the King of Iron Fist himself, Harada. With impressive showings so far in his Office run, the second generation member of the Harada wrestling family is almost a lock for a win in this one on paper, but Ueda's precocious skills and rapidly developing physical abilities are nothing to scoff at. Tarkhan the Mangler vs. DUDE SmithWith NBNF beating Worldwide Conquest last month, DUDE Smith travels to Sapporo to face the mighty Tarkhan in a match that should shake the whole island of Hokkaido. Smith's rock solid toughness has held up under some impressive attacks in the past, but the full focus of the Mangler will be a challenge even for the DUDE. The Syndicate(Mr. Cobra(SWA),Lucretia DeCavalcante, Eddie the Wire and Tony the Rod) vs. Rumika Hashi, Kaede Kinoshita, Ayako Miyamoto and Dean BardoThe Syndicate will go up against a mix of L-Pro fighters in this match, with Rumika Hashi and Dean Bardo leading two of the promotion's top prospects, Kaede Kinoshita and Ayako Miyamoto into action. This will be an uphill battle for the L-Pro side, but with Hashi's striking, Kinoshita's dynamic style, and the suplexes of Miyamoto and Bardo, they may yet stand a chance, so long as they avoid the fork of Mr. Cobra. L-Pro Victorious Medal Contender Tournament Semifinal Gary Gear vs. Masa TokugawaTwo heavy hitters in their own right, with the muscle bound Gear and the swift striking Tokugawa will meet in the other bracket of the mini-tournament. With Masa Tokugawa having heralded the arrival of the Reformation as of late, his profile is once again on the rise, and he is almost certainly the favorite to win the shot at the Victorious Medal. On the other hand, Gary Gear has been somewhat sparse in his recent showings, and could use a win here simply to throw himself back into relevance. Masa may best be known for his deadly Apocalypse Knee, but has also shown some adept skills with his flying armbar lately, and can overwhelm foes with his versatile setups and blinding speed. Gear is as inconsistent as they come, with his entire gameplan centering around a flurry of hefty slams including the powerful Anabolic Bomb, but often has trouble catching the opponent to connect and is not the most resilient of competitors. L-Pro Victorious Medal Contender Tournament Semifinal Keiko Maeda(Phoenix Rising) vs. Ali Ahmed MehrmohammdiWith Keiko Maeda looking stronger than ever in both tag and singles competition in Phoenix Rising, it only makes sense that the young rising star gets a chance against the veteran Nigerian Prince, Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi in this tournament. Mehrmohammdi, a long time tag partner and ally of the current champ, has a distinguished record outside the ring as one of the founders of Pan African Wrestling and has an eclectic style combining high flying, solid striking and Thiago Gracie BJJ lineage grappling. The main battle here will be between Ali's Air Nigeria diving elbow and Maeda's Maeda Family Special leglock.

A message from Shogun of the Reformation.
Shogun: I'll get the burning question out of your minds right here and now, yes I ran into a set back. The referee called for the bell upon seeing me locked into a hold she thought I could not escape from and I as an honorable competitor will not dispute that call! Congratulations to Kevin Fitsharris for the lucky break! You made it out of the ring uninjured and despite what Midas' official thought, so did I. I'll have to see to it that you and your partner are paid back for your fortune, but before that can happen my partner and I have business to take care of this week!
Harada's coming victory is a forgone conclusion, I don't need to tell any of you that. He's a former and future champion. The shining star of his family and my greatest protegee to date! Takayuki Ueda can only hope to learn from a better competitor and hope Harada decides to take the victory without dropping him on his head. I of course was not given such an easy night at the office no pun intended. As a role model and mentor to many wrestlers, I understand how important that role is, so believe me when I say that I very much look forward to my match with the legend that is Yuriko Masamune!
Her story stretches back even farther than my own does, and yet here she is, still able to wrestle at a high level against some of the best wrestlers in the world. Unfortunately for you Yuriko our paths have finally merged and only one of us may continue onward. I don't hold any grudges towards you and I don't plan on trying to do anything silly like end your illustrious career to spite your protege, but I won't hold anything back. I'm sure there are some that have awaited our meeting, and I can't say I am not one amongst their ranks! I am going to relish in the opportunity to defeat you and then the Reformation are going to take the Victorious Tag Medals from the Destructive Duo at Lariats!

Lightning Pro chairman, Shima Ito appeared on Dave Doolittle's Ring Beholder podcast to hype tonight's show and had some interesting statements to add after he finished up: Shima Ito: (Translated from Japanese) <Tonight, Lightning Pro and Wacker Drive Revival will appear in Sapporo for our last night of matches before Lariats and Legislators in two weeks. There will be a tournament for the next person to attempt to remove the Victorious Medal from G.P. Christopher. The Reformation has arrived from the Rose Garden to L-Pro, and both Shogun and Harada will compete tonight. Iceberg has one more match against the Royal Court before he fights King Bemba for The Loop at Lariats. And I am watching the match between Tarkhan and DUDE Smith very closely, because I believe it will be the best one. As you can usually expect, this will be tonight in the Central Time Zone at 8:00 PM, on the Senatorial Streaming Service.> www.twitch.tv/senatorphillipsDigital Dave Doolittle: Shima, I keep hearing rumors about Midas wanting to merge UCSS and Wacker Drive into your promotion. Some of the rumors say that you have been supporting this effort behind the scenes. I'd like to know if there's any truth to those rumors, as would my massive audience. Ito: <I do not like to speak of such business in public.> Digital Dave: So, you're not going to answer the question. Ito: <The answer I will give is that Lightning Pro will be able to handle the acquisition if it happens. We merge their tag belts into our Tag Medals, we allow The Loop and the Openweight title to serve as goals for their own divisions. It is doable. But it is not a question whether it can be done, but if it is what is best for us.> Digital Dave: L-Pro has managed to keep a strong identity, even while working with Wacker Drive, I'm guessing that's something you don't want to mess with. Ito: <We are proud of our Kyoto heritage and our own Dojo lineage. Our style is well-defined and even wrestlers who come from outside learn our style in our ring. If we have to assimilate these two promotions, our style will not be fully ours anymore. And while we do not mind working in America once every other month, we do not wish to move our promotion to the United States full time. Morgan Matthews and the Board will make their decisions, but I hope that what I have said here will fill people with clarity concerning our stance.> Digital Dave: I have a few callers on the line here with some questions for you, Shima, if you don't mind. Ito: <I do not. My translator will enjoy the extra work.> Digital Dave: Alright, first up here, we have Bo from Toledo, Bo, welcome to the Ring Beholder, and as I understand, you have a question for Lightning Pro Chairman, Shima Ito. Bo from Toledo: Hey, hey! Digital Dave! Been following your ratings since the 90s, man! Just want to say this is awesome! Digital Dave: Thank you very much. Bo: But yeah, um, Shima Ito, much respect, man, just got one question for you, and I'll hang up and let you answer. So yeah, I just gotta ask, why don't you just admit you're the Super Grey Machine already? Digital Dave: Oh no... Ito: <I am not the Super Grey Machine!> I AM NOT THE SUPER GREY MACHINE! <I am Shima Ito, I am the Chairman of Lightning Pro! When you see me, you see my face! I am not the masked man! I am not wearing all grey! I am Shima Ito! And I will not be asked these questions any longer!> Digital Dave: I apologize for that, Shima, but...Shima...Shima...well, Shima Ito has hung up on us. So, if you're still waiting on the line, we'll talk about tonight's show if you want, but I am sorry, you will not be able to speak with Shima Ito...

L-Pro and Wacker Drive put on a standard event here heading into Lariats, with a strong match between two legends and some dominating performances highlighting the card. RESULTS Wacker Drive Revival x Lightning Pro: Lightning Strikes in Hokkaido 8:00 PM(CT) on Friday, July 16th at the Hokkaido Prefectural Gymnasium in Sapporo, Japan Bonus Match Super Grey Machine vs. Humberto Ortega As utterly laid back as Humberto Ortega is(and one hopes the puff of smoke he exhaled early on in the match wasn't from his typical stash, being in Japan and all), none can deny his effortless talent or his deceptive stubbornness. The Super Grey Machine found out just how tough Ortega can be, landing his double wristlock backdrop suplex, the Fade to Grey, over and over again, but finding the three count elusive. The Machine, though, is nothing if persistent, and one more Fade to Grey would finish the match. Ortega deserves some credit for his resilience in this one, and the Machine remains a viable competitor even at this stage in his career. Main Event: Victorious Medal Contender Tournament Final Masa Tokugawa with Ai Tanaka vs. Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi with G.P. Christopher Tokugawa's night was complete after this one, entirely outclassing Mehrmohammdi and finishing him with the Apocalypse Knee, scoring a knockout win with his future foe, GPC watching at ringside. Final Roadblock Iceberg with Freight Train McMichaelson, Daunte Thomas and Astrid Johannson vs. Yetunde Oya with King Bemba, Mr. Moonsault and Esther Musambi Yetunde Oya and the Royal Court were as tricky as ever, but Iceberg has proven himself to be a force like none other. Several Icehammer fireman carry jackhammers landed, only for the Royal Court to distract referee Junior Ellis from counting the pin. Iceberg would not be deterred, and hit one more, and this time, the Court had mercy on their Royal Advisor and let Ellis count to three, giving Iceberg an emphatic statement victory ahead of his shot at King Bemba with The Loop on the line. Shogun(Rose Garden) vs. Yuriko Masamune Where Harada won with ease, Shogun encountered exponentially greater opposition from a fellow legend in Yuriko Masamune. The two engaged in a highly competitive bout that was in question until the very end, Masamune focusing on her submission work as the match went along, threatening with her cross STF, but Shogun would resist the urge to tap, and instead fired back with his Will of One pumphandle driver, landing several of them, with the last one giving him an important pinfall victory headed into the Reformation's challenge for the Victorious Tag Medals. Harada(Rose Garden) vs. Takayuki Ueda Pure efficient dominance would be the best way to describe this one. Harada wasted no effort or motion in putting away Takayuki Ueda, outworking him on the fundamentals, landing several sling blades and finishing with a corner avalanche rana to finish it. The King of Iron Fist not only jumpstarted the Reformation again with this, but even followed Shogun's suggestion to avoid his dreaded Axe Guillotine Driver in the process. Tarkhan the Mangler vs. DUDE Smith The Mangler simply can't catch a break. One would think that Tarkhan, for all his ferocity and athleticism, would not end up on the injured list more often than not. And it seemed as if he was cruising to victory for two thirds of this one, that is, until DUDE Smith landed several DUDE-isher fireman carry brainbusters, the second of which resulted in Tarkhan's defeat by means of refreee stoppage. Worldwide Conquest's attempt to conquer NBNF has played out like Napoleon's march into Russia with the measure of futility it has resulted in. The Syndicate(Mr. Cobra(SWA),Lucretia DeCavalcante, Eddie the Wire and Tony the Rod) vs. Rumika Hashi, Kaeda Kinoshita, Ayako Miyamoto and Dean Bardo A solid back and forth showing here with all participants getting a chance to shine, but in the end, the Syndicate simply had too much experience and firepower, with Lucretia DeCavalcante leading the way as she pinned Kaede Kinoshita following a shining front kick. L-Pro Victorious Medal Contender Tournament Semifinal Gary Gear vs. Masa Tokugawa The other half of the opening round in the tournament went much the same as the first, but this time, Masa Tokugawa never let his foot off the pedal, shrugging off some basic offence from Gary Gear and outstriking the bodybuilder, finishing with a flurry of knees to the face for the pin. L-Pro Victorious Medal Contender Tournament Semifinal Keiko Maeda(Phoenix Rising) vs. Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi Keiko Maeda seemed well on the pace to not just win this match, but to demolish the Nigerian Prince in the process. Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi managed to endure the initial onslaught, sticking it out long enough to turn the tides, landing his Air Nigeria diving elbow drop for the three count to secure a big comeback win. --- Match of the Night: Shogun vs. Masamune -There is zero question here, the two storied veterans stole the show and tore the roof off the Hokkaido Prefectural Gymnasium in a match for the ages. Performer of the Night: Masa Tokugawa -Another no-brainer, the Apocalyptic Warrior has never looked more dangerous than he did in his two victories on this night. --- Injury Report Tarkhan the Mangler: Neck Stinger (One Month Medical Suspension) -A DUDE-isher from DUDE Smith finished Tarkhan, and it appears that a pinched nerve in the neck was the resulting injury. The Mangler thankfully will avoid another long tenure on the injured list and should be back after a month. Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi: Moderate Concussion (Three Month Medical Suspension) -The dreaded Apocalypse Knee from Masa Tokugawa would knock Mehrmohammdi clean out in the main event, and the Nigerian Prince is on standard concussion protocol going forward. --- Directly following the main event, Masa Tokugawa received a microphone as he addressed G.P. Christopher on his own hurried way out of the ring. Masa Tokugawa: (Translated from Japanese): <GPC, you have seen a taste of what is to come. I have spoken of the end times. I have brought them about for Gary Gear. I have brought them about for your friend, Ali Ahmed Mehrmohammdi. And now, the apocalypse comes for you as well, GPC. You have fought valiantly to delay it. But all must fall in the end.> G.P. Christopher: <Look. I'm in big hurry here. Got match in Sakura. But you...I will prove you wrong! I will be Number One! Get you back for Ali! And I will show I am far from end times! But I got to hurry, fast.> And at that point, GPC broke out into a full sprint as he exited the gym, practically leaving a cloud of dust in his wake. --- Following his defeat later that night on Sakura Pro, a more calm, collected Christopher would have a few words, along with the other two Office entries in the Sakura Pro Grand Prix: G.P. Christopher: Yeah, another night that part of me would like to forget. Seeing Masa wipe out Ali, didn't enjoy that much. And damn, if Satsujin didn't give me a hell of a match, but once again, I come up short. Man, I still haven't managed to hit the King's Landing in a match yet, you guys probably seen the training footage of it, it's a badass move. But what good is it if I can't hit the damn thing when it counts? And I'm right up on Lariats, just a few weeks from now, and I can't stop losing matches. I already know I have an uphill battle there. Probably got Turner and JPM both in the same night. And I keep losing matches. I almost have to laugh here, because, say, three years ago, someone tells me I'm putting on awesome matches in the Preliminary Main Event, I wouldn't care if I won or lost, I'd just be thrilled to be there. Tells you how far I've come, expectations are a whole different level when you get a taste of being the man. I don't even know what I'm saying up here anyway. Yeah, part of me would like to forget tonight, but the other part says I better remember it. Satsujin, you're a badass guy, and I'd like a rematch some day. L-Pro, Sakura, doesn't matter, I'd like to run that one back, it was a good match. But I think I can do better. So yeah, I think I've had enough for tonight, I need some sleep, sayonara. --- Moustapha Ndour: I feel like I can run through a brick wall after that! Desire about tried to tear my face apart! But we saw how that one ended. Renate always taught me how to stay in there and do what it takes to win. And I think I can win this thing. And the thing is, I'm just getting warmed up now. None of you have seen the best I can bring! You got Demarcus and I looking to take over in the PEWA. We'll get those belts off Powers and Fury, just watch us. And I want the Extreme title, too. Next month, we got a Pan African Tour, and they tell me there's a tournament for the Pan African Championship in there, too. Sign me up. I got unfinished business with Mutombo. And I got in the top five, the top five of the Office Rankings, just by winning here in Sakura. So if I want to focus on the Number One...who's gonna stop me? Some people think I am reaching too far. But would Coach K tell his team not to win the National Championship? Would Coach K tell his stars not to take over in the NBA? Yeah, I thought so. --- Kosuke "Choppu" Arai: <I will be honest. I did not enter into this tournament for anything more than to see what I had left. It turns out, I had more left than I even expected. Blake Storm! You were a worthy foe! We will meet again! Until then, fight everyone like you fought me! You have the fighting spirit that one needs to be great! Use it!> Arai: <And they tell me I still have an outside chance. I can live with that. Regardless, this has been satisfying. Shima Ito tells me I am now considered a possible Victorious Medal challenger. It may be because all the main eventers have failed by now and all that are left are the leftovers, the kids, the old people like me. Yes, that is likely true. But even if it is, does it matter? Sakura Pro has given new life to these old bones. I enjoy fighting here in a way I have not in many years. No matter what, I will be thankful for that.>
