I have no memory of when I made this or why, but I found it in my photobucket and had to share.

I had a customer earlier say "that stuff will kill you" about energy drinks, as he was buying cigarettes.

Just had a cop give me attitude about carding him for a restricted product. I nearly asked him what he would've said if I didn't card him. Talk about no-win.

Just a random thought but it's kind of weird seeing pre-orders for FIFA 2020 and Madden 20
I was a HARDCORE sports sim player for about nearly 20 years, dating from Super Tecmo Bowl in 1994 to MLB 15: The Show and NBA 2K16
I think the first "year numbered" game that I played was NBA Live '95
Now the number is 2020, a full on 25 years later
It's crazy to think how far the actual gameplay has come since then.

Yeah, that hits home. I'm so with you on feeling like stunned by that! ⏳
My first numbered sports game was Madden '93 on SNES and then NHLPA '94 on SNES.
(The SNES '94 was nowhere near as good as the Genesis version as I'd learn years later but I still enjoyed it)
I remember when the "Bulls vs. _Western Conference team__" series got replaced in name and style with NBA Live '95. Personally, I loved NBA Shodown ('94) but the Live series was major. Then when Dreamcast came out, the 2K series got big and took over year naming conventions in my mind.
The fact we're almost at 2K20 is crazy.
Street Fighter 2010 on NES seems almost quaint.
Good to know we're getting closer to Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball though 😁

Yeah, 2020 still sounds like it should be in the distant future and not six months.
Suffice to say, I think Super Baseball 2020 was a little overly optimistic.

Yeah, 2020 still sounds like it should be in the distant future and not six months. Yeah, I wanted to see what all the hype around Neon Genesis Evangelion was all about and started watching a bit of episode 1 season 1. It was set off in the far flung future, 2015 to be exact. Did you know that there’ll be hovering, propellerless gunships by then but that people will revert to payphone use? At least Bill Lambeer, his ugly plastic face mask, and his team of robot ballers will be there to help if shit goes sideways!

Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball Craziest sports game I've ever played. An underrated gem.

Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball Craziest sports game I've ever played. An underrated gem. I have to admit I thought you guys were making shit up. But yes, this seems like the craziest sports game ever. I think its especially weird they went with a soccer style relegation system instead of traditional playoffs.
Also, is there a Robert Parish equivalent in this game that can knockout Laimbeer?
