My head is full of so much useless crap. Like, whenever I stock a bottle of Spicy Hot V8 at work, it sometimes reminds me of the Icy Hot Stuntaz.

Got a video game thing that used to bug me and that I've been thinking about again, but I couldn't find a better thread for it.
I thought about starting a spinoff catch-all thread in the gaming area over it but it doesn't feel like it's worth being the thread starter either. Still...
Why does ECW Hardcore Revolution only offer like ten themes to created wrestlers, three of which are the FBI theme?
I mean, its precursor WWF Attitude has a plethora of choices, as does its successor Anarchy Rulz. It can't be blamed on hardware limitations either, since the N64 and the PSX version both have the same theme list.
It just seems odd. Mostly because of the "three of them are literally the same song" part than anything.

^ECW budget/laziness? lol I don't think I actually played that one until after ECW went under. It's been at least 18-19 years for me. In any event, I say go for the new thread!
If not, you'll be cursed......cursed!

I'd say the problem is more with Acclaim than ECW but they're both defunct at this point.
On the subject of ECW, though, I used to have the official strategy guide for Anarchy Rulz. I'd bought it as a commemorative item since I found it not long after the promotion folded, relatively speaking.
It had interviews with all of the featured wrestlers. I've never forgotten what Big Sal E Graziano said when asked where he saw himself in five years. Basically, he said he hoped he'd still be working for ECW.
Bear in mind that Anarchy Rulz came out in late 2000.

Man, those Acclaim games were so clunky, they looked so bad ass until you finally tried them. I was so stoked for ECW to have a game, but it was busted, too. I still picked it up and played the shit out of it though! đ
The Acclaim games did one thing right though, voice samples! The taunts and stuff were great, HHHâs âletâs get ready to SUCK IT!â at the start if the matches, Val Venisâs Stuff, all kinds of taunts were a lot of fun in that game. My favourite of all of them, and one I still hear in my head when someone really pisses me off was Stone Coldâs âIâm aâ drop you on that stack of DIMES you call a neck!â. Epic taunt!
Itâs amazing the shit we put up with as wrestling game fans until fire pro came and restored order to the universe!

The main thing I remember from the Acclaim experience was us constantly pausing the game to look up our movesets.

Ah, the Acclaim wrestling games.
Great ideas requiring homework assignment levels of execution by the player.
I don't miss that control scheme at all.

It really wasn't until the AKI control scheme came along that I ever felt like I was actually having a wrestling match in games. Still one of the greatest tragedies in gaming that a control system everyone loved was shelved.

Yeah, has there ever been a more blatant âgo f yourselfâ than fans demands being ignored for more AKI games than the development of the WCW and the early Yukes titles instead? Talk about breaking what didnât need fixing!

Merry Christmas yâall, I hope you are all in good health, are happy, and if possible, surrounded by good people and/or family or are on your way to a gathering somewhere.
Eat lots, be happy, and safe journeys if youâre traveling.
Time to go watch âThe Bishopâs Wifeâ, the 1951 version of âa Christmas Carolâ with Alistair Sim, and perhaps Bad Santa.
Take time to enjoy whatever it is youâre up to and have fun!

Customer quote of the day:
"It doesn't make any sense. You can serve your country when you're 18 but you can't smoke a beer."

He wasn't yet drunk enough to say:
