Good shit. It's not exactly the funniest bit ever but I'm quickly growing into an Impact fan. Slammiversary was pretty good. There was a little more hardcore stuff than I care for between the HOH, 5150, and Hair vs Mask matches but otherwise I didn't regret spending 3 hours watching it. I can't tell you the last time I've been able to say that about a WWE event. My biggest nitpick was Aries winning clean over Moose, but I have that problem all the time with WWE as well. It doesn't do much to foster continuing heat for him as a heel champ. I get that he's a hell of a talker and can sustain heel status that way but if that is the case, then what's the point of doing the wrestling? Yeah, the hardcore stuff was a bit overkill, but the 5150 Street Fight & Hair vs. Mask matches were my favorites of the night. It really annoyed me that Sami completely forgot about the broken arm after the match, though. (Edit: Another thing about the hardcore matches that made me not mind them as much is that all 3 matches had a reason to be that violent. It's refreshing to see when compared to the WWE style of "Hell in a Cell is coming up, better shoehorn a Hell in a Cell match into this feud.") I completely agree on Aries. It sounded like the crowd was really behind Moose and it felt anticlimactic to have a clean finish like that. Speaking of anticlimactic finishes, the House of Hardcore match bothered me as well with the table + lighter fluid tease that didn't lead to anything. It was still better than I expected though, with a nice "passing the torch" moment at the end. |

Thanks Jam man. I love me some Konnan and Homicide, but hate Eddie Kingston.
I'm gonna have to go deep in Iran and start at the top of that list. I'm looking more for the backstage segments to tell the story plus I've heard they're absolutely nuts at times.

I still kinda feel Impact has a way to go to shake off the viewpoint that comes to mind when people think of them, but the last couple of shows I've seen of them have been pretty good and I think they'll eventually shake off their past - assuming this team sticks around, and it doesn't do another 180. I know Don's got a bit of history with running successful territories though, so I reckon it'll go fine.

I'm loving this LAX stuff. I might have to give impact a go. I'm done with the Fed so this might be my go to. Love the non-woke aspect of this. Selling drugs, fucking bitches, it's gritty.
And Kingston, I don't like him, but I can't argue he's a great character in most things outside the wrestling ring.

It's been my favorite story on the show and last night's match did a great job showcasing Ortiz and Santana, while also showing that Homicide and Hernandez can still go. One of my current dream matches is the Usos vs. Ortiz & Santana. |

Am I the only one who didn't realize the 5150 Street Fight was a regular tag and not a 6-man? I don't know why but I really thought King and Konnan were in the match too.

Maybe down the line. Konnan just had hip surgery within the last few months (unless you believe he didn't like Disco says lol) so idk about a return now.
But I think he just was in the Battle riot that MLW just had last week. So maybe it's happening soon.
I know he's said he wants to have a return tour.
