WORLD WRESTLING ALL-STARS
In late 2001, Andrew McManus, a prominent concert promoter within the Australian music landscape, observed a void in the Professional Wrestling industry. A void left by the closures of both World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). Using his considerable connections and resources, Andrew McManus hoped that his vision for a new promotion would fill that void, and become credible competition to Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
With Andrew McManus operating as the World Manager/Director, alongside Jeremy Borash serving as director of talent, and rumoured involvement from Vince Russo also, this is an alternative history take on World Wrestling All-Stars. Serving as a "What If?", as in this alternative timeline, the WWA will last far beyond 2003, and NWA:TNA will never come into being!
Much as was the case in reality, the WWA will have it's first shows in it's home base of Austrailia, but the promotion will quickly venture into Worldwide touring and PPV events!!
The inaugural show, WWA: THE INCEPTION, will broadcast live on PPV within Austrailia, and on tape delay in the United States, Canada, and Europe. This event will take place on October 26th 2001, with the Sydney Superdome playing host to what will go down as a historic night of Professional Wrestling action. More details will be coming regarding this event shortly, but it's rumoured that it'll play host to a one night, eight man tournament, to crown the very 1st WWA World Heavyweight Champion!!
So NOW....
It's time to rewrite history, and CHANGE THE WORLD!!!

WWA: THE INCEPTIONWORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT BRACKET REVEAL PART 1
With the very first WWA PPV event fast approaching, we got word fresh off the desk of Andrew McManus, confirming that the rumours swirling around were indeed true regarding a one night/eight man tournament being held at the event, which will decide the very first holder of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship.
The first two matches for the 1st round of the tournament, confirming four of the eight men scheduled to participate, can now be revealed....
"The Perfect One" Curt Hennig will take on "The Road Dogg" Jesse James
In video clips uploaded today on the official WWA website, we got the following comments from both competitors...
"The Perfect One" Curt Hennig
"Thankfully, given how rare even a half functioning brain seems to be throughout the wrestling fanbase nowadays, you're all lucky! You're lucky that my Championship accolades throughout many years and many promotions spell out the basic facts to even the most foolish of you. The credentials DON'T LIE, the record of Perfection, it DOESN'T LIE!!!"
"So come The Inception, live on PPV, there is no more of a perfect fit than the man you're looking at right here, to be the first to carry the WWA World Heavyweight Championship.....and if you honestly believe for one second that some down and dirty, flea ridden ROAD DOGG, is going to stop Perfection in its tracks....well, you're all more foolish than I even thought!!!"
"The Road Dogg" Jesse James
"OH IT'S ME...IT'S ME...it's THAT D..O..double G!!! Here to kick it with the same old approach, on a brand new turf, the WWA!"
"Well, not quite the same approach, because this time around, the Dogg is off the leash and flying solo. You best believe, I see the WWA as a fresh land of opportunity, and I'm looking for the BIG ONE!....Now, you fans out there, you all know of my recent history, well all I can say about that, is what my old man Bullet Bob once told me as I sat upon his knee as a small pup. He told me, the biggest of setbacks can set you up for the greatest of comebacks my boy!"
"So, Curt Hennig, this may be our first ever rodeo, but I've got your number cowboy! Not you, or anyone else in the tournament, will stop me from achieving what I came here to achieve, and that's achieving the greatest comeback of all....becoming the very first man to hold the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. I'm going to do it for myself, for all of you great wrestling fans, and for my father. That's a promise, real life, hand on heart, and it's not coming from the Road Dogg...but from BRIAN ARMSTRONG!!!"
........................
And the second match to be revealed for the 1st round of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament is as follows...
It'll be a battle of DARKNESS as....."THE VAMPIRE WARRIOR" Gangrel faces off with VAMPIRO
The following comments from both competitors were uploaded onto the WWA website earlier today...
"THE VAMPIRE WARRIOR" Gangrel
"Vampiro....oh how I've LONG waited for our night of demonic destiny to arrive! We've been partaking in our brands of black craft in different realms for so long, but now, we find ourselves in the very same place and time"
"I'm not just here in the WWA to usher in a new era of darkness, by becoming the first holder of the World Heavyweight Championship, I'm here for sacrifices too!!!"
"Perhaps Vampiro, in another time and place, we could have been brothers united in the same bloodlust...but in THIS time and place, there's only room for ONE force of darkness...and that's me. So... your destiny, is to serve as my first of many sacrifices. I promise you Vampiro, your blood will not be wasted on me!!!"
VAMPIRO
"Gangrel, you think you're a force of darkness? By all means, bring that mentality to our match at The Inception PPV, because I'll bring you right back down to Earth, and straight into a DARKNESS that not even you can handle, the DARKNESS of my twisted reality, the reality that forged me into who I am today. My struggles, my grind, just to survive a day on the streets of Mexico City when I was trying to make my name and put food on the table."
"So save your smoke and mirrors, and the blood baths, because they won't scare me. You want to scare me so badly? Well maybe you should bring your wife along, because she's far scarier than you'll ever be!"
"I'll bring you down with a violent sample of real darkness, and then I'll go through two others to become the first WWA World Heavyweight Champion....and in MY age of darkness, all that will shine, is the light from my newly won Championship, along with the glow...of the DARK CARNIVAL!!!"
........................
Interestingly, Andrew McManus has stated that he wants no credit for the matches and talent announced thus far. Mr. McManus went on to say that he's assigned the choices for matchmaking for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament to a General Manager, who's identity will be revealed live on PPV at WWA: THE INCEPTION!!
The reveal of the last two matches of the first round of tournament action+more PPV announcements will be coming to you soon!!!

WWA: THE INCEPTIONWORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT BRACKET REVEAL PART 2
As the inaugural WWA show draws ever closer, live on PPV, October 26th, at the Sydney Superdome, we can now reveal the next two bouts in the opening round of the eight man tournament to be held on that evening, a tournament that will decide the first ever holder of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship!
Firstly,
Buff Bagwell will square off against Konnan
The following comments from both competitors were uploaded to the official WWA website earlier on today....
Buff Bagwell
"I'm BUFF, I'm the STUFF, and just like everywhere else in the World, the women of Sydney, Austrailia aren't going to be able to get ENOUGH!!"
"For as great as Buff Daddy has been in the past, it's now time for Buff to come to the WWA and be BETTER than ever before. You best believe I'm coming for all of the glory, and if you women thought this body of mine couldn't look any finer...well, just you wait until the end of The Inception Pay Per View, because that's when you'll be seeing this fine body, with the addition of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship resting over one of my fine shoulders!!!"
Konnan
"Orale!!...Arriba La Raza!!!"
"The K.O double N, A, N is here in the World Wrestling All-Stars to kick it as real with y'all as a life sentence, and you cannot have life without death, and a few things are assured for all of us in our time on this planet, death, taxes, and never understanding why Buff Bagwell ever made it to the big time!!
"Buff, how many years have you been going around calling yourself the stuff for now? BIG talk from a SMALL man, because going by the word on the street from the real women who keep it bowdy bowdy and rowdy rowdy with the K-Dawg, your supposed STUFF isn't all that!
"Credit to you on one thing though Buff, you're good at finding ways to keep worming your way to the top, so I won't be overlooking you at WWA:The Inception. I remember earlier on this year, WCW Thunder, you got a win over me....so I'm getting one back on you, and so much more, because you're just the opening act, the first victory of the night, with two more to follow...because that WWA World Heavyweight Championship will be leaving with me!!!"
........................
And finally, the last match to be announced for the first round of the tournament is as follows...
"The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett will face one of Australia's own, "The Colossus" Nathan Jones
The official WWA website has played host to the following comments from both wrestlers..
"The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett
"We all know that his whole gosh darn tournament is a mere formality, because you're looking at the Chosen One, the ONLY MAN fit to carry World Championship gold and put this entire start up promotion upon his back. I've walked the walk as World Champion before, multiple times, and you all best believe that I'm fixing to do it all over again on a brand new stage!"
"Now, whoever the mystery General Manager of the World Wrestling All-Stars is, I can understand the hard task they face in finding adequate competition for the Chosen One, but seriously...NATHAN JONES? Is this the best you can serve up to me? I hadn't even heard of this guy until last month!"
"But ever since I signed on to compete in the WWA, all I've been hearing is NATHAN JONES this, NATHAN JONES that...he's the supposed best wrestler to come out of Austrailia in a generation, some are even calling him the future of the sport!"
"Well Nathan Jones, I hope you don't believe your own hype, because if you do, I'm going to burst your bubble SLAPNUTS. I see the size you have, the great physique, but pal, I've seen punks like you come and go throughout my time in this profession. I've also seen all of the press you're getting about being a reformed convict turned wrestler....well ROOKIE, when Double J is done giving you the wrestling lesson of a lifetime, you'll be wishing you were back in the joint!"
"The standard of excellence in the WWA and throughout the Pro Wrestling world, it's the Chosen One, Jeff Jarrett...and I'm not only promising to WIN the whole darn tournament to become the World Champion on October 26th, I'm also promising that I'll be keeping that Championship for a very long time after. The peak of Nathan Jones career will be as my first stepping stone to the top of the mountain here in the WWA, and when that overhyped rookie see's his five minutes of fame long forgotten, I'll STILL be reigning supreme. This is MY WORLD...and if any of you out there don't like it, you can choke on it!"
"The Colossus" Nathan Jones
"For ten long years, I had time to ruminate on all of my failings, all of my mistakes. All of the things I wish I'd had the opportunity to do differently. My mind, it tortured me, to begin with, but then, I taught myself how to control my thought processes, and make them WORK FOR ME... to REBUILD, and RECLAIM, not only my mind, but my body too! To BE READY!! So should I have had the fortune that so many men didn't have, of surviving a sentence in Boggo Road and taste freedom again, I'd embrace that day and all of the opportunities that awaited me!!"
"My past is something I'll never try to escape or hide from, I own it, but I'm more than my past. Today, I'm a free man, a self made COLOSSUS! I hope to be inspiration to others out there, to let you know, your past doesn't have to define your present and future!"
"Now, I find myself with a potentially once in a lifetime opportunity, to be the sole representative for Austrailia in the WWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament. It's an opportunity that I take very seriously, and I don't plan to squander it!"
"Jeff Jarrett, believe me mate, I know all about you, I've studied all of the footage out there...but what do you really know about me? And the same question goes to the other six men in the tournament, what do you really know about me? I know that I'm the dark horse in this tournament, and I LIKE IT THAT WAY!"
"Enough words...I'm ready for my ACTIONS to do the talking!!!"
........................
We now know all of the eight competitors and matches set for round one of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament. To recap, they are
"The Perfect One" Curt Hennig vs. "The Road Dogg" Jesse James
"THE VAMPIRE WARRIOR" Gangrel vs. VAMPIRO
Buff Bagwell vs. Konnan
"The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett vs. "The Colossus" Nathan Jones
Which of these eight men will go all the way, and make history to become the very first WWA World Heavyweight Champion? You only have one way to find out, and that's to order WWA:THE INCEPTION on PPV, or be there live, October 26th, at the Sydney Superdome. Limited tickets are still available!!

WWA: THE INCEPTION...CONTROL CENTER...
With WWA:THE INCEPTION now less than 24 hours away, all attention thus far concerning WWA's inaugural event has rightly been placed on the One Night/Eight Man Tournament to decide the very first WWA World Heavyweight Champion, but with that said, so much more will be on offer for your viewing pleasure come October 26th at the Sydney Superdome. Here at the PPV Control Center, it's now time to draw focus on some of the breaking news circulating around the WWA in recent days.
Starting off hot, with the biggest news of all...
BRET "THE HITMAN" HART TO BE IN ATTENDANCE!!!
Rumours have been running rampant about whether the legendary "Excellence of Execution" would be involved in the WWA, especially on many well known Professional Wrestling message boards in recent days. We can now officially and proudly confirm, that the one and only Bret "The Hitman" Hart HAS arrived in Sydney, Austrailia, and he WILL be appearing at WWA:THE INCEPTION!!
WWA founder Andrew McManus has stated that Bret's role on the PPV broadcast will be to present the WWA World Heavyweight Championship to whomever of the eight men competing in the Championship Tournament ends up taking the main prize. Mr. McManus then went on to state, that a popular online rumour, which suggests Bret Hart is the Mystery General Manager of the WWA, is NOT true!
So, if it's not Bret filling the role as rumoured, then just who is the mystery General Manager? We've been promised by Mr. McManus that the identity of the General Manager won't be a mystery much longer, because like Bret, they'll also be present on October 26th in the Sydney Superdome!!!
INTERNATIONAL CRUISERWEIGHT ACTION!!!
While the Heavyweight grapplers will have the main spotlight at WWA:THE INCEPTION, Mr. Andrew McManus wants the WWA to be a platform for wrestlers of all sizes and stylings, and there's nothing quite like the excitement of fast paced, high-flying cruiserweight action!
With this in mind, the PPV will kick off with a bout between two of the greatest Cruiserweight talents in the sport today, two men who are no strangers to one another...as "The Juice" Juventud Guerrera battles with Psicosis
This bout will serve as a launch pad for what Mr. McManus hopes to be a thriving Cruiserweight division in the WWA, as the winner of the bout will be declared the very first WWA International Cruiserweight Champion!!!
If past bouts between Juvi and Psicosis serve as an indication, this'll be a jaw on the floor display of aerial wrestling stylings that you won't want to blink during!!!
TAG TEAM ACTION ON TAP!!!
WWA's first ever tag team attraction has been signed to take place at WWA:THE INCEPTION, in a bout that'll pit the colourful, and often controversial pairing of Lenny and Lodi, collectively known as The Rainbow Express, against a duo that may be too much crazy in one tandem for anyone to handle, the master of the Big Wiggle, "Dancing" Norman Smiley, and the risk taking unhinged madman that is "Crowbar" Devon Storm.
This is a bout that's hard to predict just what may, or may not, happen within it, but one thing is for sure given the characters involved, it's certain to be interesting!!
DISCO'S DILEMMA!!
Yesterday, the official WWA Website posted the following video clip, with comments from DISCO INFERNO
DISCO INFERNO
"Look, I don't know who I need to go to. I don't know who needs to take the responsibility to right this wrong, be it the mystery General Manager, or Mr. McManus himself...but I'm the victim of a great wrong that needs to be righted! The Worldwide legion of Disco Diehards demand justice!!"
"Let me back track, just to fill the slow dweebs out there watching this on the web in to just what my problem is. You see, I was one of the very first talents to sign my name on the dotted line to compete in the WWA. My signing is the greatest gift to any upstart promotion, I'm the pioneer of the most electrifying move in all of sports entertainment, the Village Peoples Elbow! With a guy like me in your promotion, that means your promotion is shooting straight to the top of the charts, because DISCO is always in fashion!"
"So, where was my name amongst the eight wrestlers competing in the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament?"
"and why....WHY...is MY face, my BEAUTIFUL FACE, not even on the promotional posters??? WHY?...WHY???"
"October 26th, I WILL BE at The Inception PPV, whether I'm booked or not....and even if I have to hijack the show, I'll be DEMANDING...MY...SPOTLIGHT!!!"
A DILEMMA...RESOLVED???
Within an hour of Disco Inferno's video clip going onto the official WWA website, a match was added to the PPV card, presumably by the Mystery General Manager. Disco Inferno will be placed up against a man who has quite the reputation, coming from the World of American Football, before training for wrestling at the famed WCW Power Plant. He's a man who is known as "The Beast" Bob Sapp! The potential of a talent like Bob Sapp is high and noted, which is why he's recently had offers on the table to compete in Japan, both in Pro Wrestling and Kick Boxing....but for now at least, Bob Sapp has turned down those offers in preference of the WWA being his introduction to a Worldwide wrestling stage.
A video clip was posted onto the official WWA website, with the following comments from "The Beast" Bob Sapp himself.
"THE BEAST" BOB SAPP
"Ohhhh Disco.....I hear that you crave a spotlight upon you this weekend in Sydney? Ohhhhh BOO HOO, poor Disco!"
"You have no idea, how often I watched in the wings, in the final months of WCW before the buy out, ready to go out and show what I could do. I was just ACHING for MY opportunity at a spotlight. The very same spotlight that people like yourself hogged for too damn long."
"Maybe it's because of people like you, that WCW went downhill like it did!"
"Well Mr. Spotlight seeker, it's a new time and place...the WWA!!! and when I get my hands on you at WWA: THE INCEPTION, it'll be YOUR TURN to go downhill. Because October 26th 2001 will go down in the history books, as the day that DISCO DIED at the HANDS OF THE BEAST!!!
........................
And that concludes our time here at the PPV Control Center for WWA:THE INCEPTION. Whether you'll be with us live and in person at the Sydney Superdome, or watching on PPV from the comfort of your own home, we hope that you enjoy what has the makings to be a significant night in the history of Professional Wrestling!!!

WWA: THE INCEPTION
Sydney Superdome Sydney, Austrailia October 26th 2001 Commentary Team: Jeremy Borash & Jerry "The King" Lawler
...PPV RESULTS (PART 1)...
WWA INTERNATIONAL CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE BOUT JUVENTUD GUERRERA VS. PSICOSIS
This high speed opener served as an exciting way to commence action in the WWA, with Juvi and Psicosis going back and forth with fast paced strikes and grappling exchanges from the get go. With the chance to become the first ever holder of the WWA International Cruiserweight Championship on the line, neither man was prepared to hold anything back!
As expected, both men lived up to their reputations as the action proceeded, taking to the skies with some high risked aerial attacks that wowed the enthusiastic Sydney crowd.
While this back and forth encounter could've gone either way, with both competitors coming oh so close to the edge of Championship glory, fortune was on the side of Juventud Guerrera, as "The Juice" managed to keep Psicosis down for the count of three, following an impactful Juvi Driver!!
Juventud Guerrera's name will go down in the history books, as the very first holder of the WWA International Cruiserweight Championship!!!
WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT:1ST ROUND "THE ROAD DOGG" JESSE JAMES VS."THE PERFECT ONE" CURT HENNIG
This near 25 minute encounter was a bout that had the crowd within the Sydney Superdome on the edge of there seats. It was a gripping clash which saw both competitors play up to the strengths of their skillsets, with impressive results, resulting in near falls for both wrestlers.
Despite a determined and aggressive pull no punches approach from a fired up Road Dogg, he ultimately found himself victim to Curt Hennig's greater technical proficiency and counter wrestling.
In the concluding moments of the bout, Hennig managed to escape from an attempted Pump-Handle Slam with a well timed counter attack. Wasting no time to capitalize on this opportunity, "The Perfect One" hit the 2nd Hennig Plex of the bout, and unlike the first, this one managed to keep the Road Dogg down for the match winning three count. Curt Hennig advances to the semi finals of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament!
WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT:1ST ROUND THE VAMPIRE WARRIOR (w/ Luna Vachon) VS. VAMPIRO
In this wild war waged between two forces of darkness, The Vampire Warrior used every underhanded measure he could think of to overwhelm Vampiro. The Vampire Warrior didn't come alone, having his wife Luna Vachon with him at ringside. Luna interjected herself into the action on behalf of her husband on more than one occasion. At one point in the bout, the referee was distracted by Luna, allowing The Vampire Warrior to use a steel chair to attack Vampiro with.
Despite all of this, plus The Vampire Warrior's signature Impaler DDT, the determination of Vampiro saw him refuse to stay down! Impressively, Vampiro managed to find a 2nd wind, and use some speed based offensive manoeuvres to bring the flow of momentum back in his favour. Once Vampiro had his opponent on the ropes, he refused to let up. A flying elbow off the top rope to the back of a dazed Vampire Warrior, was quickly followed by Vampiro's signature Coffin Drop. This proved to be enough to keep the Vampire Warrior down for the three count, giving Vampiro the victory that'll see him advance to the semi finals!
WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT:1ST ROUND BUFF BAGWELL VS. KONNAN
Both men were looking for a quick victory in this one, and choosing to go at this pace from the outset was perhaps ill advised for Buff Bagwell, as Konnan was ready to return flames with infernos of aggression.
To his credit, Buff Bagwell did manage to get back into the encounter, almost scoring the victory at one point following a swinging neckbreaker. Buff also managed to escape the Tequila Sunrise submission hold, a usual victory decider for Konnan.
The spirited attempt to rally a comeback from Buff Bagwell was successfully cut off in it's tracks though. Much like the crowd within the Sydney Superdome, the flow of the action was firmly on the side of K-Dawg. The fans in attendance cheered in appreciation when Konnan managed to put Buff Bagwell down for the three count following a Crucifix Jumping Bomb that shook the ring with the impact it was delivered. Following a highly impressive showing, Konnan places himself into the Semi Finals of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament!
WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT:1ST ROUND "THE COLOSSUS" NATHAN JONES VS. "THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT
In preview articles found for this event online, and amongst chatter from fans on wrestling message boards, Jeff Jarrett was the favourite to go all the way to the WWA World Heavyweight Championship, or at the very least, make it to the final. Jeff Jarrett himself certainly believed that the tournament was a mere formality, and he was destined to become the 1st man to hold the Championship gold.
Much to the surprise of Jeff Jarrett, and many wrestling fans too, "The Colossus" Nathan Jones was set on making a statement that would echo throughout the wrestling world, and put his name on the map as a force to be reckoned with.
Nathan Jones proved to be a force of intensity that Jeff Jarrett clearly wasn't ready for, and the hunger of the reformed ex-con from Boggo Road couldn't be denied.
Having the veteran knowledge to know he was in trouble, Jeff Jarrett made every effort to find a weakness in his opponent's game plan, attempting to outwrestle Jones, and at times, resorting to cheap tactics like eye pokes and low blows.
Unfortunately for Jarrett, the more he seemed to hurt Nathan Jones, the more intense and determined the giant Australian seemed to become. Tapping into a determined rage, Nathan Jones rocked Jarrett's senses with some huge mafia kicks, and then a Colossus Chokeslam, before finally putting him away for a massive three count victory following a big side suplex.
In what many out there would consider a major upset, Nathan Jones put himself into the Semi Finals of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament in a decisive fashion!
THE GENERAL MANAGER ARRIVES!!!
As promised by WWA Founder Andrew McManus prior to the PPV, the identity of the WWA General Manager was finally revealed....with the entrance of
RENA!!!
Formally known as "Sable" in the World Wrestling Federation, the WWA General Manager picked up a microphone and shared some thoughts with the WWA fans. Rena said that it's been long overdue for a woman to take the power in what has often been a man's world, and she thanked WWA Founder Andrew McManus for giving her the opportunity. Rena promised the WWA fans that she's committed to bringing the fans the best wrestlers, both established names, and hungry young talents looking for a stage to shine, and making World Wrestling All-Stars the most exciting place to see Professional Wrestling. "If you like what you've seen so far from the WWA, well..I promise, you've seen nothing yet!!" promised Rena.
TAG TEAM ACTION DEVON STORM & NORMAN SMILEY VS. THE RAINBOW EXPRESS (LENNY & LODI)
With the bout delivering 30+ minutes of action, this tag match could've very easily outstayed its welcome on an already stacked card. It's a credit to both teams then, that they managed to keep the fans within the Sydney Superdome engaged throughout the duration, blending in some great comedy spots to give the fans a breather from the more serious action that they'd seen earlier in the night, and would see following with the Semi Finals+Final of the WWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament ahead.
As the match progressed, the comedy lessened, giving way to some frantic back and forth action, loaded with near falls scored by both teams. Impressively, the duo of Devon Storm and Norman Smiley managed to pick up the win, when Norman Smiley pinned Lodi with a Back Hook-Leg Pinfall.
Given the impressive teamwork both men displayed, along with the favourable fan reaction, it's probably safe to assume that this won't be the last time we see Devon Storm and Norman Smiley working as a duo here in the WWA!
COMING UP IN PART 2 - We conclude our recap of WWA's historic first PPV, with the Semi Finals+Final of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament!
Who will walk out of Sydney as the first ever champion?
Will it be...
"THE PERFECT ONE" CURT HENNIG
VAMPIRO
KONNAN
or.... "THE COLOSSUS" NATHAN JONES???
All will soon be revealed!!!!
+ "THE BEAST" BOB SAPP vs. DISCO INFERNO
and, an appearance from the legendary BRET "THE HITMAN" HART!!!
PART 2....COMING SOON!!!!!

WWA: THE INCEPTION
Sydney Superdome Sydney, Austrailia October 26th 2001 Commentary Team: Jeremy Borash & Jerry "The King" Lawler
...PPV RESULTS (PART 2)...
WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT: SEMI FINAL "THE PERFECT ONE" CURT HENNIG VS. VAMPIRO
Both Curt Hennig and Vampiro had been in gruelling 20+ minute bouts during the first round of the tournament, so fatigue was a factor for both men here. Hennig tried to outwrestle Vampiro with some ground based technical offense. Smartly avoiding playing Hennig at his own game, Vampiro counter attacked with some unorthodox speed based manoeuvres, and aggressive impactful attacks.
Adjusting his game plan in an attempt to counteract Vampiro's strategy, Curt Hennig notched up the aggression, with slams and a side suplex. An attempt to hit the Hennig Plex was successfully countered by Vampiro. Knowing that time was of the essence and Hennig was getting smart to his tactics, Vampiro found a 2nd wind, turning up his tempo and aggression. Before long, Vampiro succeeded in landing his trademark Coffin Drop on Curt Hennig, securing the three count, and his place in the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final!
WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT: SEMI FINAL KONNAN VS."THE COLOSSUS" NATHAN JONES
In this Semi Final clash between two fan favourites, it was Australia's own Nathan Jones who had a little bit more of the crowd rooting him on. "The Colossus" found himself on the receiving end of some lucha based offense from Konnan that he clearly wasn't prepared for, and this led to the big man being grounded. While on the ground, he found himself caught in Konnan's trademark submission hold, The Tequila Sunrise!
In an impressive display, Nathan Jones managed to power out of the submission hold and regain his footing. Jones and Konnan then exchanged strike based attacks, with both competitors getting some great shots in. At one point, Konnan looked to have Nathan Jones on spagetti legs. Sadly for Konnan, his attempt to hit a Flapjack on his much larger opponent proved a feat too taxing, as Nathan Jones countered before Konnan could follow through with the move. Capitalizing on having K-Dawg caught off guard, Nathan Jones dropped him with a canvas shaking Colossus Chokeslam, which succeeded in keeping him down for the count of three.
In respectful scenes following the bout, Nathan Jones helped Konnan up to his feet, and offered him a handshake, which was accepted. In impressive fashion, Nathan Jones secured his spot in the Final of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, where he'll meet fellow finalist, Vampiro!
"THE BEAST" BOB SAPP VS. DISCO INFERNO
Disco Inferno craved his spotlight on WWA's inaugural event, and perhaps he should've been more careful in what he wished for, because up against "The Beast" Bob Sapp, he was met with a force of intensity who was hungry to make a statement in his very first wrestling match on such a big stage. What Bob Sapp gave up in experience, he made up for in sheer aggression and brute force, with a charisma that quickly made believers out of the fans within the Sydney Superdome.
Fortunately for Disco, he had the experience factor, plus a few cheap tricks up his sleeves, which gave him the edge over Bob Sapp at times. Bob Sapp was also a victim of his own intensity, when Disco Inferno dodged a corner charge, which resulted in Sapp hitting the turnbuckles hard, splitting his head open and creating quite the crimson mask in the process. It was clear that this injury momentarily threw Bob Sapp off of his game.
After some time to regroup however, the blood loss seemed to fuel Bob Sapp on, taking his intensity to a whole new level, one that Disco Inferno couldn't find an answer for. After Bob Sapp hoisted Disco Inferno up and dropped him with his trademark Beast Bomb, the match winning three count was secured.
A statement victory gained by "The Beast" Bob Sapp, on the biggest stage of his career thus far! If the newcomer is this good now, just what could his future within the WWA hold?
ENTER THE HITMAN!!
Ahead of the WWA World Heavyweight Title Tournament Final, the legendary Bret "The Hitman" Hart made his way out to ringside. Bret said that he's proud to be associated with the WWA, a wrestling promotion that actually has some integrity, and is a much needed breath of fresh air in a sport that's polluted by the garbage coming from Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation.
Bret went on to say that he heard the rumours linking his name to the WWA General Management role, but he respects the decision made by WWA Founder Andrew McManus to appoint Rena as the GM. "I've just got done speaking with Rena backstage" said Bret "and I've told her, if anyone decides to get out of line around here, and she needs someone to enforce her authority....well, I'm not against throwing someone down and locking them in the Sharpshooter, should that ever be needed!!!"
Bret then congratulated both "The Colossus" Nathan Jones and Vampiro, for making it to the final of the tournament to crown the first WWA World Heavyweight Champion. After Bret wished both participants luck, he got the cheers of the crowd within the Sydney Superdome, when he revealed the WWA World Heavyweight Championship to the World, giving everyone the first look at what the biggest prize in the WWA looks like!
WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT: FINAL "THE COLOSSUS" NATHAN JONES VS. VAMPIRO
The crowd within the Sydney Superdome were highly receptive to both wrestlers who'd made it to the final, but despite Vampiro having his vocal supporters, they were slightly drowned out by the support for Australia's own Nathan Jones, who had seemingly only grown in popularity with the advancement of the show.
Vampiro didn't allow the higher popularity of Jones to throw him off from his game. Showing no intimidation, Vampiro took quite the fight to "The Colossus", with speed based strikes and high kicks. A lesser man would've been greatly troubled by such a sequence of attacks from a competitor like Vampiro, but Nathan Jones was seemingly able to shrug off the attacks and battle on.
The ending looked set, when Nathan Jones landed a ring rocking Colossus Chokeslam, forcibly planting Vampiro onto the canvas for an attempted pinfall!!!!
Amazingly, Vampiro was able to kick out at the very last moment, causing audible gasps of shock within the Sydney Superdome!
Going onward into the bout, Vampiro managed to regroup and trouble Jones, with some targeted strikes to the legs. Vampiro managed to get the legs of Nathan Jones to buckle, bringing the big man down to the canvas. Looking to make the most of this new found opportunity, Vampiro applied an ankle lock submission with the force of a vice, putting every bit of energy he could muster into scoring a submission victory, a victory that would make him the very first World Heavyweight Champion in WWA history, if only he could apply just a little more pressure, victory felt like mere seconds away!!
In another time and place, perhaps, but for Vampiro, this was not that time and place, as Nathan Jones managed to power up out of the submission attempt. Upon regrouping after finding his footing, Nathan Jones had a look of sheer menace within his eyes, the look of a man that wouldn't stop for anything. Still showing no intimidation, Vampiro made himself and his fanbase proud, with his continued will to fight.
Eventually though, despite Vampiro's best efforts, Nathan Jones landed a second Colossus Chokeslam...and this was ENOUGH to score the match winning pinfall!
The fans within the Sydney Superdome erupted, as one of their own had just made history!! The supposed "Dark Horse" of the tournament had succeeded in going all the way, becoming the very first holder of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship!!
The COLOSSUS now resides atop of the mountain within the WWA, and as the WWA World Heavyweight Champion, who, if anyone, will have what it takes to bring him down?
COMING UP NEXT FOR THE WWA
WE TAKE THE WRESTLING REVOLUTION OUT ON THE ROAD, AS WE EMBARK ON "THE REVOLUTION TOUR", WHICH WILL LEAD TO OUR NEXT PPV EVENT....WWA:THE REVOLUTION!!!

I don't know if you're taking suggestions, but here's a few: Konnan vs Curt Hennig "Road Dogg" Jesse James & Gangrel The Vampire Warrior vs Buff Bagwell & Jeff Jarrett (The winning team faces off against each other, with the winner of that match taking on the winner of K-Dawg vs Hennig to determine the #1 Contender to Nathan Jones title)

WWA: THE REVOLUTION TOUR SHOW 1
Belfast, Ireland November 27th, 2001
A rowdy Belfast crowd were welcoming hosts to the World Wrestling All-Stars on the very first stop of THE REVOLUTION TOUR. The wrestling fans of Ireland were treated to a great night of wrestling action, with the only downside being an unfortunate injury to one of the wrestlers on the card, which we shall cover further in our full show highlights below...
Match 1 WWA INTERNATIONAL CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE BOUT JUVENTUD GUERRERA (C) vs. PSICOSIS
This Championship bout+Rematch from WWA:THE INCEPTION made for a scintillating opening contest, with a nice blend of technical and high flying lucha, along with back and forth near falls in the closing moments, which kept the Belfast crowd fully engaged throughout.
Even though Psicosis pushed the Champion to his limit, in a bout that many in attendance said surpassed the quality of their recent PPV bout, the challenger was met with the same fate he encountered on that night in Sydney, being hit with a Juvi Driver, keeping him down for the count of three.
"The Juice" Juventud Guerrera made a successful 1st defence of the WWA International Cruiserweight Championship, but with other title matches scheduled throughout the tour, will he be able to keep his grasp on it?
Match 2 BLACK WEDDING MATCH THE VAMPIRE WARRIOR vs. LUNA VACHON
The apparent back story behind this very unique match is that no one was a bigger critic of The Vampire Warrior's loss to Vampiro at WWA:THE INCEPTION than his own wife!
Any love between this demonic couple was NOT on display in this hard hitting battle.
Luna unleashed a great deal of aggression upon her unholy Husband, almost putting him away for the victory on a number of occasions. Thankfully for The Vampire Warrior, he succeeded in not only scoring the victory, but in winning some respect back from his wife too, as he managed to keep her down for the count of three after hitting his signature Impaler DDT!
Following the bout, The Vampire Warrior helped his wife to her feet, before presenting her with a bouquet of black flowers. Luna Vachon took the gift presented to her from her husband, only to then throw the flowers back in his face, before storming out of the ring. Clearly, this marital disagreement isn't fully resolved!!
Match 3 STEVIE RAY vs. VAMPIRO
Vampiro, the man who made it to the final of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament at WWA: The Inception, only to come up short against Nathan Jones, was set to get back on the winning track in this bout in Belfast. His opponent wouldn't make for easy opposition though, as this was the WWA debut of Stevie Ray, and the former 10x WCW World Tag Team Champion from Harlem was set on starting his tenure in this new promotion with a victory.
In a sizzling back and forth contest that over delivered to the surprise of many fans in attendance, Vampiro came as close to victory as possible, landing a Coffin Drop on Stevie. Amazingly, Stevie managed to kick out from this devastating move, and mount a highly aggressive comeback.
Once Stevie Ray was on a role, Vampiro struggled to find the answers needed to deny the offensive momentum of his opponent. Stevie Ray landed the Slapjack, which was enough to score him the three count victory, in a highly impressive WWA debut!
Match 4 "THE BEAST" BOB SAPP vs. DISCO INFERNO
This rematch from WWA:THE INCEPTION saw Disco Inferno once again being unsuccessful in finding an answer to hold back the tidal wave of intense aggression that is the one of a kind force of nature that makes up "The Beast" Bob Sapp! As impressive as Sapp was in his PPV showing against Disco back in Sydney, on this night in Belfast, he looked even better! Managing to defeat Disco in even less time than it took previously!!
Match 5 TAG TEAM ACTION DEVON STORM & NORMAN SMILEY vs. THE RAINBOW EXPRESS
In this tag team rematch from WWA: THE INCEPTION, The Rainbow Express duo of Lenny Lane and Lodi managed to avenge the loss they received on PPV in Sydney, by scoring the victory in front of the Belfast crowd, when Lodi pinned Devon Storm.
Unfortunately, the wrestling action in the ring was overshadowed by a bigger story, when Norman Smiley collapsed in the later stages of the bout, after failing to protect himself from a dropkick hit by Lenny Lane that hit him awkwardly in the side of the head. Norman Smiley was unable to continue competing for the rest of the bout, leaving Devon Storm to attempt to fight the Rainbow Express off alone in what became an unofficial handicap match.
Despite a valiant effort to fight off both Lenny and Lodi on his own, Devon Storm was pinned by Lodi just after the 26 minute mark.
While results of a full medical evaluation are pending, word is that Norman Smiley is expected to miss at least 2 months of ring time, after suffering what is speculated to be a concussion.
We wish Norman Smiley a speedy recovery, and hope to see him back in WWA competition in 2002!
Match 6 BUFF BAGWELL vs. KONNAN
In this rematch from the first round of the WWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament at WWA: THE INCEPTION, Buff Bagwell was out to avenge his loss to K-Dawg on that historic night in Sydney.
Sadly for Buff, his Stuff was, once again, NOT enough, to put out the fire of an amped up Konnan, who used the clear fan support of the Belfast crowd to help him along, getting under the skin of Buff Bagwell, and being one step ahead of him in most instances of this contest.
While a few attempts at submitting Buff with the Tequila Sunrise were unsuccessful, they succeeded in softening Buff up, leaving him vulnerable to a Lifting DDT, which kept him down for the match winning three count!
Match 7 TAG TEAM MAIN EVENT "THE COLOSSUS" NATHAN JONES & "THE ROAD DOGG" JESSE JAMES vs. "THE PERFECT ONE" CURT HENNIG & "THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT
In a very exciting match, that had the Belfast crowd on its feet, living up to the main event billing it was given, the fan favourite duo of "The Road Dogg" Jesse James and the WWA World Heavyweight Champion "The Colossus" Nathan Jones, managed to defeat the formidable duo of "The Perfect One" Curt Hennig and "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett.
Throughout the match, both Curt Hennig and Jeff Jarrett wanted to make an example out of Nathan Jones, individually aiming to pin the World Champion, and perhaps put themselves atop the list for a future title shot. In an impressive feat, Curt Hennig managed to hoist Nathan Jones up and land a Hennig Plex, almost keeping the giant Australian down for a three count that would've undoubtedly made "The Perfect One" the guaranteed #1 Contender to the WWA World Heavyweight Championship.
The bout concluded with The Road Dogg and Curt Hennig as the legal participants, while Nathan Jones and Jeff Jarrett brawled around ringside. Successfully getting some revenge for his 1st Round defeat to him back at WWA:THE INCEPTION, The Road Dogg managed to put Curt Hennig down for the count of three, following a Pump Handle Slam.
After the bout was over, "The Road Dogg" Jesse James took the arena microphone, and called his partner Nathan Jones back into the ring to join him.
"Belfast, The D.O double Gizzy is going to kick it 100% real with y'all, as well as this big man from Boggo Road whose right here standing beside me!"
The Road Dogg then walked right over to Nathan Jones, looking at him intently as he directed his words towards him.
"Nathan Jones...I've seen some impressive feats in my years in this sport, but I've gotta give you your props... what you accomplished in Sydney, making yourself a talking point throughout the Wrestling World, winning the tournament and becoming Champion.....it's up there as being one of the most impressive displays of dominance I've ever seen. Nathan, in just ONE NIGHT, You proved yourself to me, and you proved yourself to the wrestling fanbase worldwide!"
"I'm not going to BS you or these fans here in Belfast Nathan. That Championship resting over your shoulder right now, I wanted it that night in Sydney, and I still want it now, because I came here to the WWA for nothing less than winning the big one!"
"Believe me Nathan Jones, every Dogg has it's day, and the day for this Dogg to hold that Championship you're currently carrying, it's going to come! That said, it's your day right now....and you deserve it!"
The fans cheered on in approval of the words of "The Road Dogg" Jesse James, as he then offered his hand to the WWA World Heavyweight Champion Nathan Jones. After a brief but quite intense moment where Nathan Jones stared Jesse James down, the Champion then smiled, before agreeing to shake the hand of the man he'd just successfully teamed with to overcome Hennig and Jarrett.

WWA: THE REVOLUTION TOUR SHOW 2
Dublin, Ireland November 28th, 2001
Not to be outdone by the previous nights crowd in Belfast, the wrestling fans of Dublin gave a warm reception to the action presented to them on the 2nd night of THE REVOLUTION TOUR. Full show highlights are presented below!
Match 1 WWA INTERNATIONAL CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE BOUT JUVENTUD GUERRERA (C) vs. PSICOSIS
While the fans in Dublin were kept entertained by the action on hand in this International Cruiserweight Championship bout, it was certainly a drop in quality when compared to the prior nights match between the two competitors in Belfast. Perhaps both Juventud and Psicosis were still paying the price for the efforts they exerted the previous night.
Juventud once again found the approach needed to retain his Championship, putting Psicosis down for the match winning three count just beyond the nine minute mark. That's now two successful defences for The Juice!
Match 2 DEVON STORM vs. LENNY LANE (w/ LODI)
Due to the unfortunate injury suffered by Norman Smiley on the prior nights show in Belfast, the previously scheduled tag match was altered to this singles bout, with Devon Storm looking to get a measure of vengeance against Lenny Lane, the man whose Dropkick caused the injury that side-lined his team mate with a suspected concussion.
Despite Lenny Lane pulling out every shortcut he could think of, with many stalling tactics and illegal antics coming into play with the help of Lodi from the outside, it still wasn't enough to contain a motivated Devon Storm. Much to the approval of the Dublin crowd, Devon Storm managed to put Lenny Lane down for the count of three, following a Sleeper Drop!
Match 3 BUFF BAGWELL vs. "THE ROAD DOGG" JESSE JAMES
This was a captivating back and forth contest, packed with near falls that had the fans in Dublin on the edges of their seats.
Clearly eager to land his first victory in a WWA ring, Buff Bagwell gave his most impressive performance in the promotion thus far, coming agonizingly close to victory multiple times, only to be denied due to the resilience of the Road Dogg, who fed off the fan support firmly being on his side.
After some great action, The Road Dogg managed to answer the best efforts of Buff with an even better game plan. After Buff countered a Pump Handle Slam attempt, the Road Dogg quickly improvised, planting Buff face first into the canvas with a Jumping DDT. The cheers of the fans in Dublin grew into a roar of approval, as the Road Dogg scored the match winning count of three!
Match 4 TAG TEAM ACTION "THE BEAST" BOB SAPP & VAMPIRO vs. DISCO INFERNO & STEVIE RAY
In a highly entertaining tag team bout, the fan favourite duo of "The Beast" Bob Sapp and Vampiro succeeded in overcoming Disco Inferno and Stevie Ray.
While Vampiro focused on getting some payback on Stevie Ray following his loss to him the prior night in Belfast, Bob Sapp was targeted by Disco Inferno, who, while perhaps not smart in his efforts to do so, was desperate to somehow get the better of the powerhouse who has had his number at every turn.
In what could be considered a surprise to some, Bob Sapp and Vampiro seemed to click quite nicely as a team, working together to subject Disco Inferno and Stevie Ray to some finely coordinated and well executed double team attacks.
It was one of those very double team attacks that scored the victory, with "The Beast" Bob Sapp pinning Disco Inferno following a Powerbomb combo!
Match 5 BLACK WEDDING MATCH THE VAMPIRE WARRIOR vs. LUNA VACHON
Delivering on it's higher placement on the card, this was a much longer+even more intense match than the one waged between this unholy couple the prior night in Belfast. Neither man or wife held anything back with the aggression, in action that spilt out to ringside at times.
With Luna out to raise hell at her Husband's expense, The Vampire Warrior had some very close calls throughout this bout where it looked like a loss was on the cards. Fortunately for the Vampire Warrior, he managed to catch his wife off guard in the late stages of the bout, countering an incoming attack from Luna with a scoop, followed by an impactful powerslam. This was enough to secure the match winning count of three for The Vampire Warrior!
Following the bout, as he'd done the previous night of the tour, The Vampire Warrior helped his wife to her feet, and presented her with a Bouquet of Black Flowers. Luna accepted the Bouquet with a smile on her face. This smile was only in place long enough for Luna to catch her husband off guard with a low blow! As The Vampire Warrior fell to the canvas in pain, Luna's smile turned to a look of devilish hatred. Luna then threw the Black Flowers down onto her fallen husband, before leaving the ringside area. This relationship is far from wedded bliss!
Match 6 TAG TEAM MAIN EVENT "THE COLOSSUS" NATHAN JONES & KONNAN vs. "THE PERFECT ONE" CURT HENNIG & "THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT
In a sizzling main event that had the Dublin crowd buzzing from bell to bell, Curt Hennig and Jeff Jarrett had clearly further fine tuned the tactics they'd used against Nathan Jones the prior evening.
The WWA World Heavyweight Champion fought back against both Hennig and Jarrett admirably, but when his team mate Konnan was neutralized, the double team and often rulebreaking tactics of the two veterans who opposed him was notably troubling him.
Nathan Jones made a spirited comeback, unleashing a barrage of aggression on both Hennig and Jarrett. After the Referee was floored via Curt Hennig throwing Konnan into him, the tide of the match turned again in favour of the rulebreakers.
With the Referee down, Jeff Jarrett got a guitar from under the ring, and he used his trademark weapon of choice to devastating effect, smashing it into pieces over the skull of Nathan Jones.
With the Referee revived, Jeff Jarrett went for a hopeful match winning pinfall, only for Nathan Jones to kick out!
In incredible scenes, Nathan Jones powered back to his feet, and he managed to floor Curt Hennig with a clubbing forearm smash. The choice to focus on Hennig proved to be costly for Jones, as this allowed Jeff Jarrett to set him in place to deliver THE STROKE!!
Konnan attempted to roll back into the ring to make the save, but it was too late, Jeff Jarrett PINNED Nathan Jones, not only scoring the victory, but becoming the first man in the WWA to score a pinfall victory over the WWA World Heavyweight Champion.
Following the bout, Curt Hennig and Jeff Jarrett dodged garbage being pelted towards them from the Dublin crowd, clearly unhappy with the result. Jarrett laughed this off, before calling for a ringside microphone.
"I warned all of you slap asses" gloated Jarrett "Nathan Jones is nothing more than an overhyped flash in the pan. Sure, he may have a formula that caught me off guard once, when his game plan was a great unknown...but one time isn't forever! I've taken my time, I've studied the tapes, and I've picked his game plan apart, and all of you Dublin dumbasses can believe one thing... Nathan Jones will NEVER get the better of the Chosen One again!"
"It's only a matter of time until I hold the prize that should've been mine from day one" continued Jarrett "and that's the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. As far as I'm concerned, I'm now the #1 contender to the Championship...so before long, I'll be wearing that Championship, and I don't care if none of you like it, you'll all have to accept that the WWA is MY WORLD....and..."
Before Jeff Jarrett could finish, he quickly dropped the microphone and fled from the ring, after Nathan Jones had made a recovery, back on his feet and looking enraged. Seeing the microphone on the canvas, Nathan Jones picked it up..
"Jeff Jarrett, don't run off on my account" growled Nathan Jones "by all means, you feel free to go ahead doing your thing Cowboy...you can keep on running that mouth of yours. I love to hear it, because it fuels the inferno of rage within me that's growing, and one day, I look forward to unleashing it and burning you up where you stand! I'm a fighting Champion...so you name the desired time and place for your career funeral, and I'll deliver a service of suffering that'll make every display of dominance I've delivered so far, seem like child's play in comparison! I hurt you real bad once before Jarrett, but back then, it was just business....so imagine what I'm capable of doing to you now you've gone and made it personal!!! Look deep into my eyes...deep into the eyes of the man who'll END YOU!!!"

Having beaten Psicosis in three matches, I'd say it's time for Juventud to face other challengers for his Cruiserweight Championship. I don't know what the weight limit is for the title, but assuming that it's 230 lbs, here are some suggestions for who can face Juvi next: Devon Storm (230 lbs) Lodi (220 lbs) Luna Vachon (140-156 lbs) (I found two different weights from two different sites, but the point is, she probably qualifies as a cruiserweight)
Also, this is just me being nitpicky, but Vampiro's finisher is called Nail in the Coffin, not the Coffin Drop.

Noted regarding Vampiro's finisher name also. I'll be sure to use the correct name going forward!

WWA: THE REVOLUTION TOUR SHOW 3
Birmingham, England December 1st, 2001
THE HITMAN OPENS THE SHOW!!
The night of action in Birmingham, England got underway in a fashion that got the fans in attendance buzzing from the off, as the legendary Bret "The Hitman" Hart made an unadvertised appearance.
Bret told the fans of Birmingham that is was a great feeling to be back in a city that holds so many memories for him. He reminded the fans that it was in this city he once waged war with the Undertaker, and going further back, other greats like Mick Foley, Bam Bam Bigelow. Bret added that while those are fantastic memories, the dearest memory of all within this city, is when he teamed with his brother-in-law The British Bulldog, to face off with another brother-in-law, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, and the late great Owen Hart, a brother, and a friend, that he misses every single day, just as he knows all of the wrestling fans around the globe do!
"But I'm not here to reminisce about the past" continued Bret "I'm here for the best thing going in the PRESENT and the FUTURE of Professional Wrestling, and that's the World Wrestling All-Stars!"
"Tonight, I'm here on the request of the WWA General Manager, Rena, to enforce a little business on her behalf. After the last show of this tour, where Jeff Jarrett pinned the WWA World Heavyweight Champion Nathan Jones, Rena has made a decision concerning the World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contendership, it's a decision that will not only play into the next PPV event, WWA Revolution, but one that'll also have a massive impact on tonight's show, right here in Birmingham!"
Before Bret could continue, he was interrupted by the music of "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett, who walked out to ringside with a microphone in hand. Jarrett then entered the ring to get face to face with the Hitman.
"Bret Hart, you talk about the PRESENT and the FUTURE, well there's no time like the present to address what is best for the future of this promotion, and the Wrestling World at large, and that's ME, Jeff Jarrett, with the WWA World Heavyweight Championship around my waist!"
The fans booed Jarrett upon hearing his words, which clearly angered him.
"Whether you bunch of Brummie slapnuts like it or not" yelled Jarrett "I'M the ONLY man in the WWA who has pinned Nathan Jones! and that's why Bret Hart is here to announce me as the official #1 contender to face Jones for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming WWA Revolution PPV! Isn't that right Bret?"
"Well Jeff" responded Bret "You're right on one thing. After pinning Nathan Jones, you ARE the #1 Contender to the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. Congratulations!"
Ignoring the heightened booing from the crowd, a smiling Jeff Jarrett's eyes lit up with excitement upon hearing Bret's words.
"Thank you for making the obvious verdict official for these disrespectful dumbasses in the crowd Bret!" boasted Jarrett "I'll look forward to facing and DEFEATING Nathan Jones to become the World Heavyweight Champion in the main event of the Revolution PPV!"
"Don't get too ahead of yourself Double J!" warned Bret "You see, while you're the #1 Contender right here and now, the WWA is a touring promotion, and there are many stops on the road before we get to the Revolution PPV. The General Manager Rena wants every show on this tour to be the highest possible standard, with the fans knowing that here in the WWA, anything can happen, any time, any place!! Tomorrow isn't promised for anyone! So Jeff, while you hold a golden ticket for a Championship opportunity come the big PPV in Melbourne, Austrailia on December 15th...it's now your task, between now and then, to show if you can KEEP that ticket!"
Bret Hart then retrieved from the pocket of his jacket, a golden ticket with the WWA logo printed upon it. Bret handed the golden ticket to Jeff Jarrett.
"Is this some kind of a joke Hitman?" a now visibly frustrated Jeff Jarrett complained "You, these good for nothing fans, that dumb blonde of a GM, and Andrew McManus himself....you should all be thankful that you've got the Chosen One as the #1 contender!!! NO ONE is a better candidate to face Nathan Jones for that Championship on PPV than me...and I should be rested and protected until the big PPV. I've got nothing to prove from now until then. So how about you take this golden ticket back, and stick it where the sun doesn't shine, you Canadian slap ass!!!"
"General Manager Rena has made her decision and it's FINAL!!" proclaimed Bret in response "So Jeff, I suggest you save that anger for later on in the main event, because tonight, right here in Birmingham, you'll be defending the WWA #1 Contendership Golden Ticket against..."
Before Bret could announce the identity of Jeff Jarrett's opponent, the music of "The Perfect One" Curt Hennig kicked in. Curt Hennig then walked down the rampway with a microphone in hand.
"Allow me to cut you off right there Bret" said Hennig "and I'll make your obvious announcement of Jeff Jarrett's Golden Ticket Challenger as PERFECT as it can possibly be, because that very challenger is here, right now, to announce it for himself!"
"What's this all about Hennig?" asked a confused looking Jeff Jarrett "You and I were team mates on the last show, and now you're out here looking to push me out of my rightful #1 Contendership?"
"Yes, we WERE team mates on the last show" Hennig answered "and who was it that came up with the PERFECT strategies that allowed for you to get one over on Nathan Jones? You couldn't get the job done against Nathan Jones when you had him one on one at the Inception PPV, but with me at your side, suddenly your fortunes changed! You may have scored the pinfall over Jones in the tag match, but it was a TEAM effort. As far as I'm concerned, I'm just as entitled to that Golden Ticket as you are. I'm sure Bret Hart feels the same way, which is why I'm the perfect choice to face you in the main event tonight!! Only ONE of us will walk out of here with that Golden Ticket Jarrett, and it's going to be the only man who is the perfect fit to carry it all the way to the Revolution PPV, and that's ME....Curt Hennig!!"
Bret Hart interjected "Curt, you make a strong case for yourself. Curt Hennig vs. Jeff Jarrett with the Golden Ticket on the line would be quite a main event, I'm confident the fans here in Birmingham agree...however, it's already been..."
Before Bret Hart could finish his words, he was interrupted by the music of "The Road Dogg" Jesse James, who appeared on the rampway, as the Birmingham Fans greeted him with a warm ovation. The Road Dogg then took a microphone and began to speak..
"Curt Hennig, whether you were a crucial element to the win or not, the record books say that it was Jeff Jarrett who scored the pinfall over Nathan Jones in Dublin" said Road Dogg "and speaking of pinfalls listed in record books, the last time I was in a wrestling ring with you, well...you weren't so perfect, because in Belfast, I PINNED YOU Curt Hennig! So if you think you're going to let that big ole fact get overlooked so you can contend for the Golden Ticket, think again, because this Dogg is hungry for a piece of that action too!"
"You want to bring up the record books Road Dogg?" said Curt Hennig "WWA Inception, I beat you when it counted in the first round of the Championship Tournament. You don't belong in the same conversation as Curt Hennig, so hit the road...dogg!"
"Curt Hennig, you untrustworthy snake in the grass, SHUT YOUR MOUTH SLAP NUTS!" interrupted Jeff Jarrett "and as for you Jesse James, my former roadie, you're out here trying to steal my glory too? Well let me remind you of something punk, before you were an outlaw, and a degenerate, you were clinging onto me and sharing in MY spotlight, desperate to get a sniff at the big time. Back in 1994, I MADE YOU Armstrong...and right here in 2001, I can just as easily BREAK YOU!"
"Alright" Bret Hart said as he interrupted "Enough of this back and forth. These fans are here to see WRESTLING, and it's time we get on with that. Now, Road Dogg, I was going to announce you vs. Jeff Jarrett as tonight's main event for the golden ticket, as that was the match that General Manager Rena had decided on.. but you know what? Rena told me in a phone conversation earlier on today that she trusted me to do what's best for business, and she gave me her blessing to do whatever I feel is needed to give the WWA fans the best show possible on her behalf. So, Birmingham, how do you feel about Jeff Jarrett vs. The Road Dogg vs. Curt Hennig in a 3-WAY ELIMINATION MATCH!!!"
The Birmingham fans cheered in approval of this proposed match.
"Alright, it's now official" said Bret "Jeff Jarrett vs. The Road Dogg vs. Curt Hennig, battling in a 3-Way Elimination Match in tonight's main event, with the WWA World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contendership Golden Ticket on the line! May the best man win!!!!"
MATCH 1 TAG TEAM ACTION JUVENTUD GUERRERA & JODY FLEISCH VS. PSICOSIS & JONNY STORM
This bout served as the WWA debut for two men who are no strangers to one another, nor anyone following the UK's recently revived independent scene, "The Phoenix" Jody Fleisch and "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm.
To the fans within the Birmingham crowd not familiar with Jody and Jonny, the two youngsters quickly made believers out of them, blending great technical wrestling with some fantastic high flying techniques. The two young Brits seemed well aware of the opportunity they had via the stage of the WWA to advance there already fast growing reputations, and they both maximised the opportunity by delivering great performances.
Jody Fleisch shone brighter than anyone else in the bout with his showing, and he seemed to be out to send a message to his partner, the WWA International Cruiserweight Champion Juventud Guerrera, making sure to glance in his direction every time he hit one of his impressive high flying attacks on Jonny Storm or Psicosis.
A Phoenix Splash followed by a rollup pin on Psicosis was enough for Jody Fleisch to cap off an amazing debut performance in the most impressive of fashions. Jody had clearly made a believer out of Juventud Guerrera, who was quick to approach and embrace his teammate for the evening with his congratulations. Jody seemed happy with Juvi's approval, but the eyes don't lie, and Jody's main interest appeared to be on the WWA International Cruiserweight Championship that Juvi was holding during the post match celebrations!
MATCH 2 DREW MCDONALD VS. JOHN TENTA
This bout served as a double WWA debut. Firstly, a feared and hard hitting veteran of the UK scene "The Highlander from Hell" Drew McDonald, and his opposition was a man whose no stranger to wrestling fans worldwide, John Tenta aka Earthquake!
As two men of similar build, this made for a hard hitting battle of the big men, with little wasted motion from either competitor.
Despite some brute force attacks from Drew McDonald putting John Tenta on the ropes, as well as some back and face rakes and brawling when the action spilt out of the ring, it was John Tenta who managed to regain and maintain control, eventually putting "The Highlander from Hell" down for the match winning three count, following a big splash.
The fans within the Birmingham crowd were very receptive to John Tenta, giving him a warm reception, which he seemed highly appreciative of. After such a strong debut showing, this likely won't be the last time that John Tenta shakes things up within a WWA ring!
MATCH 3 TAG TEAM ACTION THE RAINBOW EXPRESS VS. DEVON STORM & SHARK BOY
If you're Devon Storm, how do you go about replacing your recently injured tag team partner "Screaming" Norman Smiley? Apparently, you search twenty thousand leagues under the sea, and you find a Shark Boy!
In his WWA debut, Shark Boy showed why he's fast gaining a cult following on the American independent scene, and he quickly made himself many new fans in the United Kingdom with his performance in this bout.
Despite some polished team work from Lenny Lane and Lodi, the Rainbow Express couldn't find the bait needed to get Shark Boy under there control. The impressive teamwork out of Devon Storm and Shark Boy was something to behold, given that this was the first time they've worked together.
Shark Boy capped off an eye opening debut performance by scoring the pinfall victory over Lodi. A cult sensation has now reached a bigger stage with Shark Boy's WWA arrival, and it looks like Devon Storm may have found himself a replacement tag team partner that may be worth keeping around!
MATCH 4 BUFF BAGWELL VS. KONNAN
Another night of action in the ranks of the WWA, and once again, despite some promising moments of dominance, Buff Bagwell came unstuck, failing to break his streak of losses. This loss also marks the third time that Buff has lost to Konnan in WWA competition.
After being kept down for the three count following a Lifting DDT from Konnan, it was clear that nobody is more frustrated with the recent performances of Buff Bagwell than Buff Bagwell himself.
After recovering from the loss, Buff aggressively ripped off his wrist tape, before slapping his own face and storming out of the ring to the backstage area. If Buff Bagwell wants to turn things around here in the World Wrestling All-Stars, he needs to find a way to change things up fast!
MATCH 5 SIX MAN TAG TEAM ACTION BOB SAPP, NATHAN JONES & VAMPIRO vs. DISCO INFERNO, STEVIE RAY & THE VAMPIRE WARRIOR
This was the first six man tag team contest in WWA history, and it set the bar to the highest possible standard for future six man battles to come, because it was an absolute sizzler, having the fans within the Birmingham crowd on the edge of their seats!
In a bout that truthfully had a bit of everything, action within and out of the ring, chair usage from The Vampire Warrior on Vampiro while the referee was down, as these two demonic figures picked up where they left off at WWA Inception. We saw continued hostilities between Disco Inferno and "The Beast" Bob Sapp, with Disco once again getting the worst of the exchanges shared between the two. Stevie Ray also impressed, showing the kind of form that saw him score a victory over Vampiro on the first night of the tour.
No one in this match came out looking more impressive than "The Colossus" Nathan Jones however. The WWA World Heavyweight Champion was on his absolute A game, unleashing a fury of aggression. This was a gift for the fans in attendance to behold, but a curse for one particular opponent. That opponent being The Vampire Warrior, who was injured after landing in very awkward fashion following a Chokeslam from Nathan Jones. The Vampire Warrior tried to regain his footing, but in troubling scenes, he seemed unable to move. The referee threw up the emergency "X" hand gesture, and paramedics were quick to enter the ring to attend to The Vampire Warrior, bringing what had been a great match to an unfortunate end.
"The Beast" Bob Sapp, Vampiro, and WWA World Heavyweight Champion "The Colossus" Nathan Jones were declared the victors, by way of Referee stoppage.
In a medical update uploaded to the official WWA website post show, The Vampire Warrior is said to have fortunately regained feeling, and he is thankfully expected to make a full recovery from a lower spinal injury. It's expected that he'll miss considerable ring time however.
MATCH 6 3-WAY ELIMINATION MATCH FOR THE WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERSHIP GOLDEN TICKET CURT HENNIG VS. THE ROAD DOGG VS. JEFF JARRETT
In a thrilling main event, that was a showcase of old school wrestling storytelling, "The Perfect One" Curt Hennig and "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett started out by forming an alliance of convenience, subjecting "The Road Dogg" Jesse James to 2-on-1 attacks.
This alliance was an uneasy one however, as Hennig and Jarrett were clearly still at odds with one another following the heated words they'd exchanged at the outset of the show. With neither man trusting the other, it wasn't long before they both came to blows, and the bout heated up as it became a true every man for themselves clash, with all three men clearly willing to do whatever it took to walk out of Birmingham holding the #1 Contendership Golden Ticket.
The first elimination came just after the 32 minute mark, when Curt Hennig kept Jeff Jarrett down for the count of three following a perfectly executed Hennig Plex. Not taking his elimination well, Jeff Jarrett argued with the referee, and refused to leave the ring. The referee had to call for extra security to head out to ringside and escort a groggy and highly frustrated Jeff Jarrett to the backstage area.
"This is horse #8&%" Jarrett was heard yelling as he was escorted backstage "That Golden Ticket belongs with me, and ONLY me, I'm the Chosen One!!!"
Despite Jarrett's protests, the Golden Ticket was no longer his, and Birmingham was guaranteed to see a new holder of it, as the match continued on.
Despite visible exhaustion from both Curt Hennig and The Road Dogg kicking in during the late stages of a gruelling contest, both competitors continued going full throttle, holding nothing back, with both men determined to walk out as the holder of the Golden Ticket.
With sweat flying, it came down to a fist fight, which The Road Dogg got the better of. A side suplex almost kept Curt Hennig down for the match winning three count, but at 2.9, he kicked out!
Hennig managed to regain some offensive control, but it was a quick counter into a scoop Powerslam from the Road Dogg as he swiftly responded to an incoming attack off the ropes from Hennig that sealed the deal, securing the three count, and the Golden Ticket!
As the show came to its conclusion, "The Road Dogg" Jesse James left the ring and went into the crowd to celebrate amongst the fans. With the Birmingham fans cheering him on in full support, The Road Dogg held up his newly acquired #1 Contendership Golden Ticket for all to see.
If he can keep hold of the Golden Ticket, The Road Dogg will face Nathan Jones for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship at the WWA Revolution PPV, but it's a big "IF", not just for the Road Dogg, but any other man who'd be in his position right now, as there's five more shows between now and the big PPV in Melbourne, and challengers for the Golden Ticket are sure to be coming thick and fast between now and then!
Do not miss one night of WWA action on the WWA: THE REVOLUTION TOUR, because as the action in Birmingham has proven, anything CAN and WILL happen!!

WWA: THE REVOLUTION TOUR SHOW 4
London, England December 3rd, 2001
CHAMPIONSHIP CLASH IN THE CAPITAL!!!
To kick off the show, Bret "The Hitman" Hart appeared, and he seemed as thrilled to be reunited with the wrestling fans of London as they were to see the legend that they appreciated so much, welcoming him with enthusiastic chants and overall support.
After reminiscing about his many legendary bouts in London, most notably, his clash with The British Bulldog at Wembley Stadium in the Summer of 1992, Bret told the fans of London that he was in attendance not only to be amongst some of the most passionate wrestling fans in the World once more, but also.. to enforce the authority of WWA General Manager Rena, and ensure that the show ran smoothly!
Bret was then interrupted by the music of the WWA World Heavyweight Champion, "The Colossus" Nathan Jones. After entering the ring and shaking hands with The Hitman, Nathan said that he loved hearing Bret talk about some of the historic moments of Wrestling History that occurred right there in London.
"And with that in mind, and as the WWA World Heavyweight Champion" continued Nathan "I want to show my respect to the rich history of Wrestling here in London, by playing my role in creating some more! But to do what I have in mind for tonight, I need to be joined by someone else, and I know he's backstage, so Road Dogg Jesse James, if you can hear my words right now, please come out to this ring to join me!"
With little to no delay, "The Road Dogg" Jesse James came out to the ring, and he shook hands with both Bret Hart and the WWA World Heavyweight Champion Nathan Jones, before listening to what Nathan had to propose.
"Road Dogg" said Nathan "While you've always been up front with me about your desire to wear the WWA World Heavyweight Championship that you see around my waist right now, you've also always been a class act about it, and you've always shown me your support and treated me with respect. I appreciate that about you!"
"Nathan Jones, you deserve all of the props I've given to you big man" said the Road Dogg in response "but you also know full well, that two nights ago, in Birmingham, I won myself a Golden Ticket, and if I hold onto that until the WWA Revolution PPV on December 15th in Melbourne, Austrailia, and you KNOW that I WILL!...then that means that you and I will be fighting for that Championship you currently hold onto! So Nathan, after I BEAT YOU to become the WWA World Heavyweight Champion, I hope you'll give me the same respect and props I gave you, because it'll be MY TURN to stand up and represent this promotion as the Top Dogg in the game!"
"Here's the thing Road Dogg" Nathan said in response "Unlike Jeff Jarrett and other entitled people around here, you've never whined and complained, you've just come on out to this ring, time in and time out, and got the job done where it counts, and due to that, you've worked your way to the front of the line with no shortcuts taken. I admire that!"
The fans cheered in agreement with Nathan Jones sentiments
"So Road Dogg, when I won this WWA World Heavyweight Championship back at WWA Inception, I said that I wanted to be a FIGHTING CHAMPION!! I owe it to myself, and to the fans of the WWA, to back up my words. So this is my proposal Road Dogg, you can either decide to keep hold of your Golden Ticket, and hope that you still have it in your possession come the WWA Revolution PPV on December 15th.....OR, you can join me in making some history tonight in London, by challenging me for my Championship TONIGHT! What do you say London? Do you all want to see a WWA World Heavyweight Championship match TONIGHT?"
The fans let out a mighty roar of approval for the proposed Championship match.
"That's what I thought!" responded Nathan Jones "This CHAMPION standing here before you wants to FIGHT, and he wants to FIGHT...TONIGHT!!! London wants it, I want it....so how about you Road Dogg? Do you want it too?"
"That's mighty ballsy of you Nathan, you're a credit to that Championship!" responded Road Dogg "So I guess I'm going to have some big shoes to fill after I defeat you for it later tonight, because I ACCEPT your offer! Let's give London a clash for the Championship that they'll remember for years to come!!!"
"With the authority given to me by WWA General Manager Rena, I can make that match official." said Bret Hart "Firstly though, I'll need you to hand me the Golden Ticket Road Dogg"
The Road Dogg pulled the Golden Ticket out from his trouser pocket, before handing it to Bret Hart.
"Alright then, I'm making it official right now!" said Bret Hart "The Road Dogg Jesse James vs. Nathan Jones, for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship... IS ON FOR TONIGHT!!"
Nathan Jones and The Road Dogg then shook hands once again.
"As for the matter of the Golden Ticket, it needs a new holder" said Bret "On tonight's card, we've got Curt Hennig vs. Jeff Jarrett booked for a match, as they've got some tensions between them to resolve. Well..they've now both got a massive extra incentive to give you London wrestling fans a great match, because Hennig vs. Jarrett will now be for the Golden Ticket!!!"
Match 1 TAG TEAM ACTION THE RAINBOW EXPRESS VS. JUVENTUD GUERRERA & JODY FLEISCH
For the second time on this tour, the WWA International Cruiserweight Champion, "The Juice" Juventud Guerrera teamed with the UK's own high flying sensation "The Phoenix" Jody Fleisch. The opposition was different for the duo, with a first time ever bout against Lenny Lane and Lodi of The Rainbow Express.
As was the case when they teamed up prior, it seemed that Jody Fleisch was trying just as much to send a message to his partner Juventud as he was in trying to defeat The Rainbow Express, who were both in top form for this match, leading to a very exciting back and forth thriller to kick off the evenings wrestling action.
Deciding to play Jody at his own game, Juventud Guerrera also looked to be sending a message to his partner on this night, forcibly tagging himself in when Jody had his back turned to him.
The WWA International Cruiserweight Champion then scored the victory for his team, putting Lodi down for the match ending three count following a rotating variation of his trademark Juvi Driver.
As Juventud Guerrera and Jody Fleisch celebrated in the aftermath of victory, both men locked eyes on the WWA International Cruiserweight Championship, with Jody motioning his hands to his own waist, signalling to Juvi that he's got eyes on a future Championship opportunity. Will we get to see The Juice vs. The Phoenix in a WWA ring in the near future? Time will tell!
Match 2 DREW MCDONALD VS. JOHN TENTA
Other than the cutback in time, and unfortunately, match quality also (63% match rating), this was very much a re-run of the battle these two big men waged in Birmingham two nights prior. An argument could be made that "The Highlander from Hell" Drew McDonald was guilty of sticking too close to his game plan from the prior bout with the man formally known as Earthquake, and rather than being able to tweak that game plan to find the recipe for victory, he instead made his strategies easier to predict, making the win much easier for John Tenta to attain this second go around. John Tenta finished Drew off with a big splash, in 9 minutes and 50 seconds.
Match 3 TAG TEAM ACTION DEVON STORM & SHARK BOY VS. JONNY STORM & PSICOSIS
Despite the previous match bringing the tempo of the London crowd down somewhat, this tag team bout was the perfect remedy to get the crowd back at full volume, with some fast paced back and forth and innovative high flying excitement being delivered!
In there second outing as teammates, Devon Storm and the cult sensation Shark Boy were on the lookout to get a 2nd victory as a duo, after defeating the Rainbow Express two nights prior in Birmingham.
Psicosis and "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm were also out for there second time as a tandem, but unlike the opponents, this team was looking to attain a first victory, after coming up short against "The Juice" Juventud Guerrera and "The Phoenix" Jody Fleisch in Birmingham.
Many of the highlights of this bouts innovative action came thanks to Jonny Storm, as the young Brit was out to use the platform of the WWA to build his name and reputation. One of the highlights which Jonny Storm provided was an impressive Wonder-Whirl from the top rope, which Devon Storm was unfortunate to find himself on the receiving end of.
Despite nail biting back and forth that kept the fans guessing for most of the matches' near 25 minute duration, it was a flawlessly executed and precisely landed diving leg drop from Psicosis to a grounded Shark Boy that led to victory, scoring the one, two, three on the boy from the sea.
While Psicosis and "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm weren't the fan favourite team, few within attendance amongst the London crowd would deny that they deserved the victory after a hard fought effort. This was also an important victory for Psicosis concerning his solo reputation, because after a string of losses since coming to the WWA, he finally scored a victory.
Whether it's continued teamwork with Jonny Storm, or once again pursuing a WWA International Cruiserweight Championship opportunity, it'll be interesting to see how Psicosis plans to build on from a victory in the UK's Capital city!
Match 4 SIX MAN TAG TEAM ACTION BOB SAPP, KONNAN & VAMPIRO VS. BUFF BAGWELL, DISCO INFERNO, & STEVIE RAY
The high energy atmosphere within the London crowd was given no chance to lessen thanks to this excellent six man tag team sizzler being the next bout to be served up on the card!
In the early stages of the bout, Buff Bagwell was out to target Konnan, looking to get a measure of vengeance on K-Dawg following his recent losses to him. Failure has been the story for Buff since arriving in the WWA, and the failures are now taking a toll on his psyche. The inner frustrations of Buff were apparent for all to see with his short tempered mood and amplified aggression. At times, Buff had to be calmed down by his teammates Disco Inferno and Stevie Ray. Right now, it seems that nobody on the planet hates Buff Bagwell more than himself.
Meanwhile, "The Beast" Bob Sapp had his now established rival+often time victim Disco Inferno locked in his sights, much to the approval of the London fans, who were in full support of Sapp's rampage at Disco's expense.
With the help of his teammates, Buff Bagwell and Stevie Ray, a rare moment where Disco got the better of Bob Sapp made for one of the match highlights. With support from Stevie Ray, who helped hoist him into position from the apron, Bob Sapp was placed onto the shoulders of Buff Bagwell, into a Doomsday device position. Disco Inferno then climbed the top rope and came down onto Bob Sapp with a flying axe handle!
In the latter stages of the bout, the action spilt out of the ring, with Buff Bagwell and Vampiro brawling through the crowd.
With the referee temporarily distracted by the outside activity, it allowed for legal participant Stevie Ray to be handed a wooden table piece from under the ring from Disco Inferno. Stevie Ray smashed this table piece over the skull of his legal opposition, Konnan. None of this illegal conduct was seen by the referee.
When the referee returned to the ring, a groggy Konnan tried desperately to fight back, but the damage was already done. A Harlem sidekick, quickly followed by a Slapjack, was enough for Stevie Ray to put K-Dawg down for the three count. The fans within the London crowd, booed, unhappy with the result.
"I've beaten Vampiro, and now I just pinned Konnan!! You all best see that the 'High Level Heat' and the toughest brother to walk the street, Stevie Ray is on FIRE here in the WWA, and you suckas better learn to love it, or risk being burnt up in my flames of glory!!" shouted out an amped up Stevie Ray to the crowd, after aggressively taking a ringside microphone "Because the Stevie Ray Pain Train is only just getting rolling, and many more bodies are going to get hit and knocked off the tracks! Elsewhere in this wrestling World, my brother has been a World Heavyweight Champion, and he's recently been apart of an INVASION...well, with love and respect to my brother, I'm a ONE MAN INVASION...and here in the WWA, it's going to be MY TURN to achieve World Championship level success!! I won't stop until I become WWA World Heavyweight Champion. Nathan Jones, Road Dogg, or whoever else holds that Championship when my time comes...I'm putting whoever holds that Championship gold on notice as a marked man!"
Match 5 #1 CONTENDERSHIP GOLDEN TICKET MATCH "THE PERFECT ONE" CURT HENNIG VS. "THE CHOSEN ONE" JEFF JARRETT
Going into the event, both Curt Hennig and Jeff Jarrett were under the presumption that this match served purely as an opportunity to settle the score after the recent issues that have sprung up between both competitors, after both men fell out over the opportunity to get to the Golden Ticket.
Neither man could've predicted when arriving to the show in London, that, once again, they'd be competing in this contest for the very same Golden Ticket that caused some of the tensions between them in the first place! This time though, there'd be no "Road Dogg" Jesse James in the mix. For the first time in a WWA ring, it was Hennig vs. Jarrett, one on one.
While the bout was shorter than many would've anticipated and hoped for, Hennig and Jarrett held nothing back from the opening bell, going tooth and nail for the opportunity to claim the Golden Ticket.
While heated, the action between both competitors remained evenly matched and clean. That is until Jeff Jarrett took the opportunity to back the referee into the corner, making it seem like an accidental happening. It was anything but however, as Jarrett set this up deliberately.
As Jarrett moved the referee aside, causing him to face away from the action, "The Chosen One" used this as an opportunity to deliver a wicked low blow to Curt Hennig. As Hennig crumpled to the canvas, Jarrett quickly pulled him back up to his feet, and positioned him to deliver the planned finishing touch...The Stroke!
Many of the London fans booed in disapproval, as the referees hand came down for the three count, giving "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett a controversial victory, and once again, the Golden Ticket within his grasp!
"Now I have this golden ticket back, NOBODY is taking it from me between now and the big show in Melbourne!" yelled an overjoyed Jeff Jarrett as he clutched the Golden Ticket close to his chest "Come WWA Revolution on December 15th, I don't care if it's the overhyped and overpromoted giant, who I've ALREADY PINNED, Nathan Jones. I also don't care if it's my former Roadie, or anyone else....because whoever holds that Championship come the 15th, they'll be losing it to the Chosen One! Open your eyes and see that I'M THE MAN who should've had that Gold from day 1. It's MY destiny, and all of these slapnut doubters are fixing to learn the same lesson I just taught Curt Hennig. The WWA is MY WORLD!!"
Match 6 WWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH "THE COLOSSUS" NATHAN JONES (C) VS. "THE ROAD DOGG" JESSE JAMES
Ask any fan who was lucky enough to be in attendance amongst the crowd in London, and they'll tell you that it's no exaggeration when this bout is referred to as a classic!
Any respect between Nathan Jones and the Road Dogg was immediately discarded from the moment the opening bell sounded, as neither man held anything back. The London fans were somewhat split in who they supported more out of the two fan favourites, but it would be safe to say that the challenger had a clear edge. To the credit of Nathan Jones, if the Champion was aware of this fact, he didn't let it distract him.
"The Colossus" Nathan Jones subjected the Road Dogg to a barrage of aggression, including a vile looking chokeslam into a drop to the canvas, when he either lost his grip, or just chose to let the Road Dogg go. The look of the Road Dogg's body landing to the canvas was unsettling, especially with the injury that the Vampire Warrior recently suffered at the hands of Nathan Jones, from a similar move, fresh in everyone's mind.
This horrific looking choke-drop combo from the Champion looked to be the match ender, but at 2.9, the Road Dogg kicked out!
In a tremendous display of fortitude, the Road Dogg managed to battle back into the fight, and at times, notably rattle the often times seemingly domineering World Champion with his quick and aggressive combinations of hard hitting punch and kick based attacks. If the Road Dogg couldn't outpower the Colossus of Boggo Road, he was determined to outwit and out strike him. The Road Dogg also seemed to wisely play on his more advanced in-ring experience, after all, he's forgotten more tricks of the trade than Nathan Jones has yet been able to learn! The son of a bullet from Marietta, Georgia was more than willing to bait Nathan Jones in, waiting his time, and taking some punishment, before taking his given openings to serve out his return shots!
Unfortunately for the Road Dogg, Nathan Jones only took so much, before firing into a higher gear of all out rage. Much as he probably did in many a prison yard brawl back in his days serving within Boggo Road, Nathan Jones seemed to tap into a "Kill or be killed" mentality. The uncomfortable levels of violence unleashed upon the Road Dogg by the World Heavyweight Champion resulted in multiple visible head wounds to the challenger. Before long, the Road Dogg was losing a great deal of blood.
Momentarily, Nathan Jones seemed to snap back into a calmer state, and for a split second, he registered concern for the Road Dogg, and perhaps a little shock over the brutality of his own actions. After this split second, the ice cold stare returned to the eyes of the Champion. This was no time for any compassion, the Australian Colossus had a World Heavyweight Championship to retain, and he was willing to do it by any means required.
Revived by the feeling of his own blood flowing down his face, "The Road Dogg" Jesse James unleashed an almost primal scream, and fired back at Nathan Jones with a higher tempo frenzy of aggression. The crowd erupted in Road Dogg's favour upon seeing this, and Nathan Jones was visibly taken aback and thrown off of his game somewhat.
The floor of the arena shook from the volume of the crowd when, after considerable pain and effort in doing so, the Road Dogg successfully hoisted up and dropped Nathan Jones with a Pump-Handle Slam!
A bloodied Road Dogg fell atop Nathan Jones, and the referee dove in to make the count...

................and 3
Was NOT to be, as Nathan Jones kicked out at the very last possible moment, 2.9!!!
Not deterred, The Road Dogg could sense he had the Champion on the ropes. As the Road Dogg reached down for Nathan Jones, he was grabbed by the Champion, who placed two hands around his throat. As Nathan Jones powered back up to his feet, he kept his two handed grip on the Road Dogg, and tried to hoist him up. As Nathan lifted Road Dogg up off of his feet, he was met with two knees to the stomach.
Flinching in pain from the double knee shot to his stomach, Nathan Jones released his grip of the Road Dogg's throat.
Wasting no time, upon regaining his footing, The Road Dogg landed a jumping knee to the gut of the Champion, before once again hoisting him up, with a second Pump-Handle Slam in mind. Despite a great struggle from Nathan Jones to break free, the Road Dogg hit the second Pump-Handle Slam.
In a quick display of possible prayer, The Road Dogg placed his palms together, before falling on top of Nathan Jones. The referee then slid into position to make the count...

.............3!!!!!!!!!!!
In shocking scenes within the capital city of the United Kingdom, Nathan Jones suffered his first singles defeat, losing the WWA World Heavyweight Championship, that many pundits figured he may have a long reign with, in his very first title defence!
The crowd erupted in celebration, for the 2nd and brand new WWA World Heavyweight Champion, "The Road Dogg" Jesse James!
Regrouping from the loss, Nathan Jones looked to be in disbelief as he got up from the canvas. In a classy display from the now former Champion, he approached The Road Dogg and offered his hand in a gesture of respect. This offer was accepted by the new Champion, as both men shook hands.
"Congratulations to you, enjoy being the Champ" Nathan Jones was heard saying to the Road Dogg "but don't get too comfortable with the gold. As you once said yourself...In life, setbacks are in place to set us up for great comebacks, and you better know I'll be coming back! My time with that Championship isn't over!!"
"Nathan, you lived up to your word on being a fighting Champion" said the Road Dogg as he wiped blood from his face "and I'll maintain the standard you set for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship by being a fighting Champion too. So you name the time and the place, and you'll get the rematch you deserve!"
As Nathan Jones left the ring, The Road Dogg was handed a ringside microphone, so he could address the London crowd.
"Oh, you DIDN'T KNOW?" shouted out The Road Dogg "You're all looking at the brand new WWA World Heavyweight Champion!...and Nathan Jones, you sure made me work for it. THANK YOU for giving me the fight of my life!"
After pausing to take in the cheers of the crowd, The Road Dogg continued on.
"I'll keep this quick, because I need to go backstage to the medical room before I drown in my own crimson out here. But, this is one of the greatest nights of my professional life. You fans have only a small idea of what this means to me. This is my redemption! The WWA was a land of new beginnings and opportunity for me, and I came here for one thing, the BIG ONE, and now the D..O.. double G has THE BIG ONE!"
The fans erupted into a chant of "Road Dogg"
"The Road Dogg! This night serves as the conclusion to that chapter of my life. Thank you for all of the joys and the setbacks that the life of being the Road Dogg provided me. I wouldn't be here today without the Road Dogg....BUT, As the WWA World Heavyweight Champion, as I always claimed I would, I did it not only for you great fans, for my father, Bullet Bob...but also for myself...and by myself, I mean MYSELF....and that's BRIAN ARMSTRONG! And that's as real as I can be with you all. That's a shoot!"
The chant of the crowd changed to one of "Brian Armstrong"
"Thank you, that sounds so good to me! Ladies, and Gentleman, boys and girls, children of all ages, Brian Armstrong is going to proudly give to you, a WWA World Heavyweight Champion who stands tall from the top, but with a real GRASS ROOTS mentality. I'm here to be YOUR CHAMPION, and I'll never forget where I came from, and I'll never stop representing, for EVERYBODY who needs representing, not just the chosen few... because whether your high in the sky in triumph, or rock bottom in defeat, I'm proof that change for the better is possible. With drive, direction, and determination, I went from FIRED, and I went from battling addictions, to being CLEAN..and being CHAMPION!!"
"If I can turn it around, so can anybody! So if you're out there hearing my words right now, and life is playing you a bad hand, please look to this Championship as a symbol of hope, because it's YOUR Championship just as much as mine. London, I really need to go before I bleed out. THANK YOU for being here for me in one of the greatest nights of my life. I love you all, and I promise to do my absolute best to make you all proud, and to make this WWA World Heavyweight Championship, OUR Championship...the undisputed symbol of excellence, throughout the entire wrestling landscape!!!!!"
