Hi everyone! I'm still tweaking my latest Final Burning patch for Final Fire Pro Wrestling, a few typo fixes for 0.71. I've been doing a lot of play testing with Management of the Ring so I'll be making some improvements to that very soon!
For those that are new to FFPW, it's the 2nd GBA game released in 2002. I've been obsessed with it since then because of the Management of the Ring mode, a full booking and promotion management mode with the added bonus that it's Fire Pro Wrestling. I started the translation in about 2005 with the help of lots of people but namely cactusj00, Davey, JasonBlackhart and Phil Parent. The patch evolved from a translation to a complete overhaul of costumes, move sets, stats, rosters, graphics and the likes. Final Burning is my most recent and (probably) final main patch for the game, fixing and updating all of the stuff I've meant to over the years.
As ever, I'm keen to hear back from people that are still playing. I've got a couple of options on the poll but I'm happy to take feedback and requests for future updates. Just a couple of my ideas for the future, what do you guys think?
Themed save - The "Official" save for Final Burning is a combination of missing wrestlers from Fire Pro Wrestling A, 2 and WonderSwan plus a few wrestlers from other Fire Pro games and a few wrestlers I met last time I was in Japan. I'm keen to take requests to expand on this to make a library of saves for the patch.
Management of the Ring Scenarios - Editing Scenario mode is fairly easy. I loved the scenarios I could get for EWR and would be keen to build a theme like this. Possibly with saves or replacing default wrestlers too.
New Rosters - I can replace all of the default wrestlers and rosters. Cactusj00 made a brilliant 2010 patch a while back and it's something I've been keen to return to. I feel an "Old school" patch would be easier due to the range of edits and the moves in the game, but I'm willing to give anything a go. If anyone has ideas, I could do with a lot of help to create something like this. No editing skills required, just planning the rosters and who to replace with who.
Better Translations - These are fairly small. If you think there are translations that are just a bit dodgy or could be improved upon, grab a screenshot and Tweet me.
Real world logos - I played with this a few years ago but it still needs some work.
Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone for the support over the last 10+ years.
