I mentioned this in another thread but wanted to put it here too: There seems to be an issue right now that a number of people are having with Fire Pro not downloading subscriptions. I'm not sure if it's Fire Pro, the Workshop, or Steam that is specifically the culprit. But last night and just now, my game refused to download any subscriptions. I've had issues like this in the past but today it is completely different. Last night Fire Pro was working fine for me in terms of subscriptions. I had turned it on around 5 pm yesterday. After many hours of the game being on, it always starts to speed up kind of weird. This has happened for years now so it's not a new thing. I just quit and relaunch it. However, when I tried to relaunch it, none of my subscriptions would load at all! The game momentarily froze twice during the start-up screen in a way it's never frozen before in 5 years. And none of my subscriptions downloaded. I still had all of them saved in my game but they weren't actively downloading as they usually do. I tried again just now and the same thing happened. I'm not alone either. I saw this thread on the Steam forums.

I hope we don't have to deal with this for longer than a day or two.

So I've managed to crack the code on the problem - apparently, it's to do with having over 1000 active subscriptions in FPWW.
The only manageable solution, it seems, is to unsubscribe from enough items (best to unsubscribe from wrestlers/moves/referees that probably aren't getting updates anytime soon) to bring the number below a thousand, as that's the only way I know that fixes the problem.
Still, I hope a more permanent solution is eventually implemented to have this no longer be a problem.

Great detective work from lordryu 🕵️♂️
As I said on the Steam forums, there's no real practical way I'm going to be able to drop below 1000 subscriptions right now. I have 7900+ subscriptions and it would take a long time to manually reduce that. And I don't want to remove all subscriptions and then start to build back up the ones I really want as that would take a while too: especially all of the moves I created that I subscribed to. So I will wait this out and hope it gets fixed.
But if Steam or Spike (lol) doesn't fix this within the next month, then I'll re-assess. I 'd rather lose all my current subscriptions (but have the items available locally in my game) then lose the ability to download anything new. Given that moves we create need to be subscribed to, it would mean I'd never be able to use any of my new moves again. So in that case I'd much rather start from scratch with subscriptions and gradually build up.
It's rather frustrating. My game was perpetually crashing for the past few months so I've logged in much less Fire Pro time since August. I just started gradually getting back into the game over the past few weeks and now this happens 🤦♂️

If you're using the Mod Pack, Carlzilla created a fix.
Can be found on the Discord under "release-version-download-links".

I have some very strong doubts it has to do with 1000 subscriptions as I'm well over the 7000 mark at this point and have never experienced a bulk of the issues that other users have experienced. I have no idea what they're doing that I'm not, but I digress. 10,000 subscriptions seems to be the virtual limit as opposed to the originally stated "practically unlimited" amount of items that can be installed. Given that the Workshop has done this before, I'm willing to bet that it needs to be refreshed on the server side to get things fixed again. Until then, Carl has a workaround fix for it. Personally, I'm probably just gonna wait it out because I have little desire to fuck around with it at the moment.

Gonna blame Jesta for this, and maybe Firehawk.
Nah, Jesta.

It's more or less not FPWW fault. Steam Client update has done that.

I created one for non-ModPack users as well. It makes no changes outside of deciding how & which subscribed items need to be installed. Just came here to mention this since I figured it might be causing issues for users here as well. drive.google.com/file/d/1NgAvjPiQEDLRMShtd5GRAF5sKgAb_-td/view?usp=share_linkDownload that to your FireProWrestlingW_Data\Managed\ folder and replace the file that already lives there. A single user reported edit duplication on a couple of edits the very first time he started the game with this, but it wasn't wide spread and we couldn't figure out why it happened, but I wanted to mention it just in case. This may also increase your start-up time. Some people have, in what I believe to be HIGHLY exaggerated claims, said it increased their start-up time from a minute or two to "over 45 minutes"...but MOST of the people who have used this has said this has actually decreased the start-up time, so again, I wanted to mention it, but it doesn't seem to be a widespread issue.

A user named Eternic on Steam got a hold of a Valve representative and they're looking into a fix as of 13 hours ago.
"I've received a reply from someone at Valve that wasn't aware of the issue and they've passed on the details to developers involved in Workshop stuff so they should definitely be working on a fix now if they weren't before."
