How long will I keep doing this? Dunno. As long as I gain satisfaction and entertainment from it. 100 videos seems like a good benchmark, but if I hit 100 videos and I'm still enjoying making these, I'll keep going.
lol I'm bad at Strive part 89: Kick Reason to the Curb
No matter how well balanced a fighting game is, there will always be lopsided matches. Axl vs. Goldlewis is one of those in Guilty Gear Strive. Axl is at such an advantage with his zoning tools vs. Goldlewis' limited mobility and lack of fast long-ranged options that Goldlewis can't really do much. I spent a while this evening with a friend just playing the matchup and trying to figure out what Goldlewis can do to stay in the match. This is the result.

I often have a bad habit of holding onto meter when I could've spent it to save myself or prolong my offense. Not so today.

Holy cow this dude gets really mad in round two. Dunno if it was the perfect round or the taunt I threw in at the end that did it but he got mad and motivated and it made the match fun.

lol I'm bad at Strive part 94: Extra THICC Celestial Challenge Edition
This is the biggest Guilty Gear video I've done to date. Clocking in at nearly 12 minutes in length, this sucker is all six matches of my Celestial Challenge from earlier tonight. Watching it over, you can definitely see my play get sloppy as it goes on and I get simultaneously excited and anxious counting the matches away.

My first actual day of matches on Celestial was a ton of fun. I lost more than I won, but that's to be expected as I adjust to the higher level of competition. And the wins I did get felt all the better for it.

Hot dang this is a good thumbnail. I wish I could get 'em like that more often but I refuse to jump through the hoops they make you go through to be allowed to customize your thumbnails, so I just have to roll the dice and hope the ones YouTube offers are good.

This is basically the lol I'm bad at Strive thread at this point, so an update: there's a big balance patch for Guilty Gear Strive coming on Friday so I'm taking a bit of a break for a few days until the patch drops. I'll have more matches up over the weekend.

Oh boy this balance patch really did rework basically the whole game. So much is different now and most of my games today were spent flopping around like a fish out of water

I'm slowly adjusting to the level of competition on Celestial Floor, but that mostly means forcing myself to be patient and get used to losing 10 of 11 matches or so.

My win rate on Celestial Floor is improving. I went from winning about 5% of my matches yesterday to about 15% of my matches today.
lol I'm bad at Strive part 97: I am not a food
Nagoriyuki is one of those characters where everyone thought he was bottom tier when the game came out, but as things have developed over time and people have figured out the strategies, he is generally now acknowledged as top-tier, to the point that some consider him broken. I wouldn't necessarily go that far, but it is kind of baffling to see them keep buffing him in every patch when he's already one of the best characters in the game.

It's been quite a journey sharing my Guilty Gear videos with everybody the past few months and I don't think I ever quite imagined reaching this point, but here we are.

I'm not really playing all that well here, admittedly. It's nice to imagine that I'm getting good, though, after 320 hours of play.
