Summer 2021 Edit Draft has ended.

knocked still has until 7:00 AM today to make his pick.

After 7 AM, Johnny Jett's window opens up to pick 2 edits and bring us into Round 8.



Out of curiosity, how many picks do you guys think you have left?

I was considering just doing 1 more and stopping but now I may pick up 2-3 more and stop.





I had a feeling that DP may have intended as a tag team or faction because they both had "Jefe" in their name. But I had no idea that they were meant to be father and son so that was a really nice surprise!

And I totally agree about how much creativity can result from these drafts. I'm amazed at the backstories, personalities, and wrestling styles that people have created just by looking at these appearances without any further background story. I've certainly had a lot of fun doing that 😄

And LOL you are right, we did say this was an edit draft and not an edit naming exercise!

There are more edits that I want here than I'll probably take just because it takes me a while to complete edits and I have non-draft edits to complete too.  My eyes tend to be bigger than my free time with these drafts and I don't want to grab any edits that I know I won't have time to finish - especially when other people may really want them. I figure we'll be doing another draft later in the year.  I'd probably have be able to make my first pick in that draft before I get to even start working on the 15th edit I'd draft in this one 😁


Also, any edits that aren't drafted this time around can get added to the next one.

The Power Pro Universe is excited to welcome two new draftees to the Dixieland Dynamite roster: DP06 and Big Slice are coming to New Orleans!

Scott Kaos, known to some as Scott Walters, is a hot prospect known for his work in various indy companies across the country. Considered by many to be a prodigy, Kaos is thought to be destined for the main event spotlight sooner rather than later, despite his young age. In spite of this, Scott's contract is understood to be arranged in such a way that he can continue to compete for companies outside of Dixieland, gaining the young man some experience and seasoning ahead of his future stardom.



His fellow draftee, of course, is expected to need no such seasoning. Big Slice is a veteran of the Underground Wrestling scene in New York where he gained some internet notoriety for attacking a rival's car with a steel guard rail following an after-show altercation as well as a number of other violent confrontations with both wrestlers and fans alike. Slice even managed to brute force his way to a successful MMA outing prior to his discovery by mainstream wrestling. Seen by some as a man whose out-of-the-ring antics outweigh his in-ring potential, the young man risked slipping into obscurity until being scouted by notorious wrestling lawyer Creed Cornell. Now with the slimiest lawyer in the sport in his corner and a change of scenery, only time will tell if Big Slice will fall into old patterns or establish himself as someone new in Dixieland.

I am not sure if Knocked still wants to be in the draft since he missed his last two picks. But since he never officially withdrew from it, I will still keep him in the draft order and give him this window. When he comes back, he is welcome to choose edits for his 2 previous picks but they will be non-exclusive. If he makes his choice for Round 9 within the current time window stated, it can be exclusive though.

For my ninth pick of the draft, I turn the floor over to Sergeant Drake Yoshida of the UBL.

[Drake:] "The Universal Battle League selects Bull Barrabas next. Bull comes to us from the red hot Caribbean region where he spent most of his time in Puerto Rico. Despite his youth, he has already amassed a chilling reputation for being dominant inside the ring and dangerous outside of it.  His undefeated record and string of victims attest to both. I am confident that the Basic Training program will smooth out some of his more violent tendencies so that his UBL career can be a successful one."


TL:DR - Geese picks Bull Barrabas for the 8th round!

After what DP said about the Jefes, I wanted to get Bull too! I already got a story planned! 💡
