There was one thing as a kid that always annoyed me and induced a cringe.
Anytime someone referred to it as “The” WCW.
Completely superfluous and grammatically incorrect.
Ex WWF guys that came in were the biggest culprits, but even originals like Sting, Harlem Heat and Tony Schiavone of all people would do it.
Say it aloud, The World Championship Wrestling. Yuck.

That always bothered me. Same old guys still do it today with "The WWE".
I hate when old wrestlers talk about "the WWE" and feel the need to point out "it was the WWF at the time". We know.

Every time a wrestler dives from the top rope to the outside onto a group of wrestlers who don't even make an effort in disguising the fact they are waiting around to catch them before everybody falls down. It's too common place in wrestling these days and I hate it with a passion. (Every dive in lucha libre)

WWF interviewing Pillman's wife right after he died was one of the most disgusting, cringey moments in wrestling history.
Old WWF shows where the announcers crack on closeted gay wrestlers about graduating from the "Pat Patterson/Terry Garvin school of self defense."
AJ Styles, who is easily one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, laughing like a moron at everything Kid Rock said during the HoF.

This is the worst. Obviously you have to be safe, but the point is to do things safely while still making them look good. Same thing with piledrivers where both workers clearly land sideways (though camerawork can be to blame here too), and suicide dives that are actually light pushes.

2.9 kickout while the wrestlers eyes are fixed on the ref.
Jack Swaggers entire career.
Selling of missed strikes.
When guys take a knee on a DDT.

WCW trying to start a feud between Bret Hart and Will Sasso on an episode of MAD TV.
The Ready to Rumble movie for portraying all wrestling fans as pretty much sub-humans.
Any celebrity getting involved in anything wrestling related and any wrestler involved in any non wrestling form on entertainment.
Jonathan Torrens asking Bret Hart in an interview if his family knew what he did for a living.

The old school guys who would kick out at 3 to look strong in a loss (Hogan, Slaughter) piss me off so bad. Fuckin take the loss and look strong during the match not at the last possible moment. Give your opponent that much respect to just lose when it's time.

Spellings of Brett Hart and Rick Flair. Agreed fully on that one. On the other hand, I'll never, ever fail to be amused by the emergence of the mythical Triple HHH.

Give your opponent that much respect to just lose when it's time. This is for sure my least favorite thing. Im sorry but if you're kicking out immediately after a three count theres no reason for me to believe you couldn't have kicked out right before the 3 count.

Nope, you're just being a mark for yourself at that point.
