The fact that I kept seeing WWE 2k year after year after year was saddening so when Fire Pro Wrestling World was announced, I made the right decision by investing in Fire Pro Wrestling World for Steam and never thought that 2k20 would be A LOT WORSE than all wrestling games.

My answer to the Op is simple. Ive always been a gameplay buff over graphics or anything else. I think the gameplay and depth to Fire Pro is second to none. Played A LOT of wrtetling games since the 80s and Fire Pro is unmatched. I haven't even mentioned the create features in it. Just that alone and it blows WWE 2K out the water. This is just my opinion, but the 2K series is much like the actual WWE product. Pretty to look at , with all the sizzle but no taste. No soul.

I was into smack down years ago but once I played fire pro D on Dreamcast and saw the diverse lineup and addictive gameplay I never touched smackdown again....Now that FPWW is out with all this DLC it’s just unstoppable

A large part of the appeal for me is the look and feel of the game.
I grew up playing the old WWF games on the MegaDrive and Fire Pro brings me back to those days. It feels like it's own little universe almost. As opposed to 2K which try too hard to be "realistic" rather than a fun video game.
Then there is the single best creation suite in wrestling game history. It goes without saying but the creative potential in this game is limitless. You have a roster as big as you want with every wrestler who ever existed. And they will all look and wrestle exactly like them! Especially with the new Part Craft and Move Craft DLC which is an absolute game changer and freakishly in depth. The longevity of those add ons will literally make this game fresh and playable for years to come.
Then there's the actual matches. Whether you're playing or watching, the matches are always entertaining. They FEEL like real wrestling matches. And there is psychology and logic to them.
The community also plays a big part. It's just unmatched in the wrestling game world. Every avid Fire Pro user has a connection with this game. And Spike Chunsoft reward us for it, as opposed to 2K/Yukes/THQ who always seemed to remove stuff we like in a bid to rinse us off more money.
All these things combined are the reason why I love this game so much. If I could make a few improvements to it, I'd love the ability to create an arena (not just the ring) and also an easier way to edit downloaded items without copying a new slot. But the fact that these two things are genuine possibilities in the future says it all.

Fire pro with its cartoony graphics and charming sprites is wrestling for ADULTS. Like most of us that are members of this club. WWE games are entertaining but the wrestling, presentation and bugs give it that PG feeling.

Here in Brazil wrestling in general isn't so popular, before the internet finding a Wrestling game wasn't so easy. The first game I got was Smackdown 2 for the ps1, in the ps2 era the games were easier to find, after a while I watched a video on Youtube called " a decade of fire pro" and fell in love with the game! The moves, the atmosphere, the infinite possibilities with the Edit mode and the awesome Community behind the game! Thank you Guys for all the Work you put in this awesome Game!
Sorry for the Bad english!

I used to love the wrestling games on PS1 until I came across Fire Pro G. After that they were a lot less interesting. I kept buying the Smackdown games on PS2 but finally realized that I was wasting money because I spent most of my time on a Fire Pro game. The only wrestling games to come close to Fire Pro is the THQ games on N64.

Something I didn't know until recently is that AKI was founded by former Human employees so the N64 wrestling games have a Fire Pro connection. Could be why they were so good.
