Out of everyone that I saw play, I consider Michael Jordan the greatest.
But I never watched Kareem, Bill Walton, or Dr. J play. I also only saw a little of Magic and Bird.
I also missed the middle of Kobe's career (which was likely his best) and the first few years of Lebron's.
Regardless of who was best, MJ's comment about his team beating Lebron's by a few points was hilarious 😄

I was a fan of the Bulls, and still am, but I was more a fan of Pippen. I think it was because he was overshadowed by Jordan and I like to cheer for the underdog. I watched a video a while back about Larry Bird. According to the video he is underrated. They didn't say he was as good as Jordan but they did kind of hint at it.

And just like that, the Lakers are building a super team.
Bulls look ready to contend too.

Yeah, they are Frankensteining a team right now. I think part of the reason the Lakers are building this team is to give them a deep enough bench so they don't fall short due to injuries. And I totally get that.
I don't know how the Lakers team dynamics will be though. Lebron and Westbrook are both very idiosyncratic players. If things aren't their way, their balance is thrown way off. Westbrook's shooting isn't reliable enough for him to be an off the ball player and Lebron doesn't like playing without the ball. So I don't know what will happen.
Davis could play with either one of them but playing with both of them at the same time may be weird.
I think Dwight Howard is super happy right now though 😄
It's too bad that the Bucks are losing PJ Tucker. And the fact he's going to a big Eastern rival is interesting.
I do like the Heat a lot so I'm pretty excited to see Tucker and Lowry joining Jimmy Butler. I think Markieff Morris is joining them too which is good cause they need more size. Bam is awesome but he's just one guy.
Chicago looks to be a big contender too which should be interesting. Meanwhile, Boston seems a little lost.
NBA teams keep having these seismic shifts every few years. It's like the NBA became a rogue-like 😁

I knew Tucker was a rental when the Bucks got him in a trade with the Rockets. He proved to be a great fill in when Donte Divincenzo went down. Donte should be back to full strength next season.
I was very happy to see the Bucks bring back Bobby Portis as he was instrumental in helping Milwaukee win it all. He filled in nicely when Giannis went down during the Hawks series. Portis played with a lot of passion for the game and local Bucks fans loved him.
He even made an appearance at a WWE live event in Milwaukee and got a huge pop. 😁

The Bulls might actually look like a real team this year, I am pleased.

The Bulls will certainly be more fun to watch. I just hope it all gels together. Best case, top 4 seed. Worst case, back where we started. Still, I did NOT expect them to open up the pocket book. Not sure what the new gm has on the old bastard of an owner but yeah, it's definitely an on paper improvement over previous years.
The Lakers are going to be a complete and utter clusterfuck. There are too many guys who NEED the ball in their hands to be effective and they really don't have any reliable shooters (though Carmelo on a hot streak is still pretty good from range, he just has to warm up to that over a couple of games). I don't wish them I'll or well but it just looks.... wrong...on paper. But, that's why they play the game on the court and not on the lineup card. Kind of want to see Westbrook get a ring but.....MAH BULLS ARE COMING, BOI!!!

Lakers going full nWo with the Carmelo Anthony signing. Will D-Wade come back from retirement? Maybe they can put Robert Horry, Derek Fischer, and Ray Allen in a de-aging machine to give them clutch 3's? 😂 I get their motivations here (especially Carmelo and Westbrook) but wow that parity just went right out the window in the west. On paper, their bench could outplay other team's starters. But I just have no idea if they will all gel. Lebron has pretty good off court relationships with many of them though (unlike some of the guys the Lakers sent away recently) so there's already some personal chemistry there. But the fact remains - there's only one ball on the court. Who is going to handle it? And as good as Westbrook is on offense, what can he do off the ball if Lebron is going to be the primary ball handler? Carmelo can make that work and can also evolve to meet the team's needs when he's not the best player, as we saw in the past few years with his excellent contributions to the Blazers. But this is probably the first time since Durant left that Westbrook isn't the best/key player on the team. Plus, even when he played with Durant, Westbrook still handled the ball most of the time. But now he may not be the primary ball handler. And he's never been the #3 option but he is here behind Lebron and Davis. This will take an adjustment for him. 😁 1000% agreed about Portis. He became my favorite individual player to watch in the last two rounds this year. He is like The People's Champion of the Bucks with his deserved fan support. He was all passion and was a true joy to watch. I'm really glad that he is returning this season.

Kind of crazy how the two most famous association football players in the world (which probably makes them the most famous athletes, globally) both moved in the same window. Sure they're both getting on in years but it's still pretty intriguing, particularly since Messi (I e. #1(0)) almost literally grew up in the Barcelona system and will be playing club ball elsewhere for the first time.... ever. Ronaldo going back to Man U after a decade is only surprising because just a day before he was all but confirmed to Man City. Kind of wonder wth happened there lol.

I don’t consider this a “sport” in the traditional sense of the word, but I figured I’d put this here anyway. I’ve been an F1 fan for a long time, my loyalty wanes when someone dominates for a long time (ahem, Hamilton…), but lots of great new drivers and upstart teams have pulled me back. I really like Max Verstappen and his total lack of respect for Hamilton’s legacy, so things have been interesting again, only problem is shit like this keeps happening. m.youtube.com/watch?v=AOFvDyauhe4&feature=emb_err_woyt

Any bets that the Jacksonville Jaguars will fire Urban Meyer before the end of the month?
Man, it's getting terrible down there.

Agreed that it was always a dubious hire given the long history of disciplinary concerns with his programs, his history of walking away for "health reasons," and just generally being a sociopath so I'm not particularly surprised at "lapdancegate."
I feel like this isn't big enough to warrant an immediate-ish dismissal but given how he'd already been rebuked a few weeks back for basically talking against the company line, he has to be on incredibly thin ice. The Jaguars being winless isn't unexpected so that's not a factor on its own but the continuation of abysmal football AND repeated distractions by/from the head coach (who I "think" might have some roster control too as a president/GM) is unacceptable, even for the league's worst team. I don't expect that he'll be back next season unless their on-field fortune immediately reverses course AND he can avoid being a media distraction. So yeah, he's as good as gone lol..
