You can tell the NHL didn't have a live crowd because nobody booed Bettman.

So 16 Tennessee Titans players have now tested positive for the virus in the last week, which prompted the NFL to move their game for this week to later in the season.
Now it turns out that New England Patriots QB Cam Newton has tested positive for the virus.......one day before their big matchup with the Chiefs (the Titans game was shut down a day after the first positive test and rescheduled in full 3 days later). Even if my team wasn't involved, I'd still want the NFL to postpone that matchup (which would have been the game of the week, had Newton played). It's just not worth it. The season never was. But $$$$$$$$$$$ beat sense.
Edit: The aforementioned game is being postponed until Monday or Tuesday, tentatively. Meanwhile, the Chiefs' practice squad QB has also tested positive for the virus.
smh

Yeah and then look at college football where the players don't even make money and there are multiple teams a week testing positive. It's just crazy how nothing in this country takes this shit seriously.

Today's Premier League games have been ridiculous. And after Liverpools result, 2020 can go take a jump, oh how I were sniggering after Manchester United's result....karma gets you in the end.

Just saw the golden unicorn of boxing matchups: a unification bout for all 4 major belts
Lightweight (135 lb) fight for Vasyl Lomachenko's 3 belts and Teofimo Lopez Jr's lone belt
I suck at the spoiler tags here so I won't bother but it was a wholly entertaining affair......that was "free" on ESPN (quotes since it's still a cable service)
Surely there will be a replay in the next couple of days. Definitely worth tracking down if you like high level boxing, all for the highest stakes in the sport.

Thanks for the heads up, I will definitely hunt that down! If you enjoyed that match, you’d probably enjoy the recent Joe Rogan podcast featuring Roy Jones Jr. He’s always been my favourite boxer and this podcast is a pretty cool look into the man himself. There is a bit of promotion of his fight with Tyson, but the rest is great stuff, a look into his mindset, how he came up, insight into his fights, his role as a trainer, and his thoughts about where boxing is now. Really good stuff if you’re a boxing fan or even if you’ve seen an RJ fight and marvelled at his skill and speed, you’ll find this to be a great couple of hours (it goes by fast!).

I for one did not enjoy it, but that was because of the outcome...

Meanwhile, the Washington football team will officially be known as the Washington Football Team for the next season. Yeah. OK, actually hearing them be called that is kinda weird. It's like they're a created team in Madden or something. "The Dallas Cowboys VS ...Washington."

Anyone catch Tyson vs RJJ? I checked it out, it was exhibition rules ( 2 min rounds) but wow, Tyson looked damn good in that fight. After such a long hiatus, his footwork and hand speed still look great. You can see it’s instinct for him, he can still impose his will and control the ring. Not taking anything away from RJJ, but he retired only three years ago, I guess I really didn’t think Tyson would look so damn good still.
As good as these two looked in this bout, I never want to see them fight again, they have nothing to prove, their fight window closed long ago. This was a fun one to watch, too bad Tyson slowed RJJ down with body shots early, it would have been fun to see Roy dance a bit more! Overall pretty fun bout (Mauro ranello seemed a bit out of place, but it was cool to hear him in commentary).
Edit: not sure how I left this out, but Snoop’s commentary was amazing, that guy should do colour for EVERYTHING! 😁

It looks like the Cleveland Indians are on the verge of changing their name as well. It hasn't been formally announced by the team yet but they didn't dispute reports when asked.

The Super Bowl LV logo could've been arranged a little better. I keep trying to read it as LIV, which was last season. Made me think we somehow ended up with a bunch of Pepsi from last year when I first saw it.

Yeah, that's a bit of a marketing fail but honestly, I don't think most people even pay attention to the SB Number anymore
It's just "the Super Bowl" and we know it's the first Sunday in February

I watched the Stevenson vs Clary event on ESPN+
I've been away from following boxing for a while...but man those were good fights on that installment on Top Rank Boxing.
