With close to 100 custom moves installed, I really hope the mods and the official move creator can co-exist... #selfishshithead Also already imagining what first move I will create myself. Corner to Center Fameasser, here I come!

My theory is they really want FPWW to stay active amongst its players for many years to come, even years after all the DLC packs have been released.
It's something a lot of video games have been doing in this current era. Back in the olden day, a game would come out and that's it, you play it, finish it, thank u, next. Now a lot of game companies have a long term goal of keeping a game playable for many years after, with the addition of DLC and updates/patches, and keeping the game's online servers up for as long as possible. Grand Theft Auto 5 is a good example, also fighting games like SFV, DOA5 and DOA6. Games like Anthem have the explicit goal of being sustainable for years.
I think that's the goal of Spike Chunsoft rn. Keep Fire Pro gamers playing FPWW for as long as humanly possible. Shouldn't be too hard, since Fire Pro fans kept Fire Pro R active for over a decade, no problem. :P So as long as the edit download servers stay up for both games, that should be no problem. I'm sure Spike has the hope of keeping them up forever, or at least until the sun burns out, or for the Playstation 4 port, until Sony stops all online servers for PS4 games, whenever that may be. It is possible for long term server support; Fight Night Round 4 just now announced the end of online play, and that game came out in 2009.
So that's what I think: They want to make FPWW as perfectly fine-tuned as possible, so that it has a lifespan length similar to FPR. Then the next Fire Pro game will be released for PS5/X-Box whatever/Nintendo console?/PC Steam in 2028 or something.

I'm happy to hear the move and part creator confirmed. However two main things come to mind
-there better be a way to share parts and moves through the workshop.
- based on their track record with past dlc I'm curious how to lower my expectations because they seem to do bare minimum each time
They are still getting my money.

I’m really curious how a part creator would work. Would they just give us a bunch of random shapes and patterns? Say I want to make suspenders. I have no idea what they would do to make that possible, outside of just giving them to us. In my mind I’m picturing a remote pen or something we would need to actually design the shapes ourselves. I’m worried this will just let us import and add logos to items.

How is a move creator supposed to work? The simplest concept would just be a tool that allows us to splice existing move frames together. If it's more intensive than that than I hope they figured out how to accommodate PS4 users.

If it's more intensive than that than I hope they figured out how to accommodate PS4 users. I would hope that they provide the most detailed tool possible, and PS4 players are just forced to deal with any work-around solutions. It may seem selfish, but it's better than reducing what everyone is able to do because of the limitations of a specific platform. Based on what people have been using behind the scenes, it seems like navigating the UI with a controller is going to be an issue unto itself. As long as the devs allow some form of sharing across platforms (even if that's just downloading files and transferring them via USB), I think PS4 players will be alright.

I wonder when Spike will truly step away from FPW.
Hopefully they continue to bug fix for a few months after the last DLC.
I also REALLY would like them to take one more look at adding/fixing some things in the game that aren't technically bugs but are rather large oversights that I feel could be changed.
The biggest example being the inability to priority into standing attacks. The second biggest example being unwieldy it is to load edits one by one rather than being able to load one, edit it, save it, and then go back to the "choose edit" screen rather than the previous screen. It was so easy working with a lot of edits at once in FPR. You just pop into an edit, save it, then pop back out to the list of wrestlers again. It takes so long to save and then have to go back to the edit screen once the save takes you to the main edit menu.
But given how much they are working on right now, I'm going to stay out of their hair 😁

I really like the sound of the moves and part creator even if I am wondering how steep the learning curve might be for me. It breathes more life into the game too, really glad they have supported the game like they have done. Even if I can't wrap my head around these then I am sure I'll still benefit because the community is really strong. I'm completely sure the community or the team itself will release templates for part creation and such. I just hope those changes will hit PS4 seamlessly. I'm so happy we're getting these amazing news and I see the end of an era of Fire Pro with a more positive view: I'm sure they'll work on something greater if they get their hands and honest support from Spike. With the rise of new wrestling television, who could say this is their last wrestling game. Maybe a spiritual successor of King of Colosseum? Who knows! Oh and yeah, this is definitedly the best hardcore wrestling game ever in terms of customization. It's just unbeatable.

That is something I'd love to be able to do, as I'd love to be able to put Rainmaker Through > Leaping Cutter for my Cal Crossfire edit.

It really would be incredible if we could finally do that through priority logic.
We can do it but not through direct priorities. And, in doing it, other parts of the edit have to be limited.
What you basically have to do is set Leaping Cutter to 100% at "standing dazed" logic and just set your edit up in a way where they don't pick the opponent up. That, of course, leads to a little bit of frustration LOL.
I have two edits who use this strategy. One does the Rainmaker Through into the strong kick to the leg (followed by a submission) and the other does the Rainmaker Through into the standing leg capture submission. Neither of them can pick the opponent up at "near death" damage because the 100% attack would trigger. That means that once they knock an opponent down late in the match, they are limited to doing ground attacks, running to ground attacks, and top rope attacks.
It's really frustrating to have to limit edits like this just to pull off the rainmaker through (or other move that leaves the opponent dazed) -> taunt -> standing attack. I've gotten accustomed to it (ever since I did a strategy like this for a running lariat back in FPR) but some matches can just get so repetitive if those edits are dominating. I'll see like 100 stomps to the leg 😔😁

It would be nice if they gave us the ability to have entrance gear for all four costumes before they call it quits. The way they have it now feels like a cop out. I know the mod pack lets us do this but not everyone has that.

I’m fine with it being part of the dlc (since it’s already been added that way), but I agree, the #4 slot being entrance attire kinda stinks. Especially since with different attires, it won’t match with every other attire a wrestler 95% of the time. If they could modify that dlc to include separate entrance attire slots, that would be great.
