Aron Stevens now as "Shooter" Stevens, trained by The Question Mark in Mongrovian Karate. "Shooter" Stevens has lerned a new finisher - The Mongrovian clutch (a Cobra clutch or Million Dollar Dream Sleeper hold).

I really liked this last episode. It's actually the first one that I've watched in full and while I have no idea who the hell Tim Storm is, I really like how he's selling this story. It's definitely something of a throwback in terms of presentation and feud building but that's awesome. What was the norm is now very distinctive and everybody's into it: the wrestlers, the interviewers, and most importantly.....the audience. A bit surprised to see so many familiar faces (I knew about Murdoch who's been in NWA territories forever now but definitely didn't expect some of the others there). Is it like an old territory style deal where you have a stable of regulars and a revolving door of "names" rolling in and out? Do we even know at this point?
Anyhow, I was entertained and will definitely look at it again in the near future.

This past week's episode is the first time I've ever watched Powerrr, but I was really digging the 6:05 minute match timer for the TV Title Tournament (I think that's what it is anyways). I was totally invested, even knowing who 99% of who wrestled on the show. It boggles my mind that I found this 60 minutes more enjoyable than most other American wrestling in the last few years. If this past week's episode is any indication, I might be entirely on board come this week's episode. The Steiner appearance popped me more than it should have.

It really is one of the better shows and the hour long show I think is a big help. It's the only show I've actually kept up with mostly because its the easiest to keep up with.
I think I'm just mark for big poppa pump and he'll always get a pop out of me

I'm pretty sure the common thing between NWA Powerrr, AAA, STARDOM, and what I've seen of SEAdLINNNG and ActWres Girlz' is the overall match pacing. It's slow enough where I'm not bored, and fast enough that I'm not sitting around waiting for the finish to happen. Also explains why I can't stand WWE/NXT match pacing. Two finishers and you're done ~ I don't need 60 minute matches with 18 finisher attempts.

I'm up to episode 11 so far after some binge watching. The NWA and Billy Corgan deserve a lot of credit really reviving this company from the dregs. It's nothing incredibly innovative or cutting edge, but they went back to basics (no spotfests, short time limits, and doing enough to get the point across) and did just enough to upgrade to the modern age to ensure their product gets recognition.
It was long overdue considering how their titles were essentially treated as secondary titles on other brands.
It's also my first time seeing the like of wrestlers like Nick Aldis, Tim Storm, and Eli Drake who have all really sold me considerably on getting their characters across. Aldis is such a great choice for champion because of the way he carries himself.
I think my favorite thing though has to be these wacky commercials they come up with. They are hilarious.

"This is stupid. This is so incredibly stupid. I like it!" - I thought.
I still have to finish the last half of the show.
