Brian Zane (Wrestling With Wregret) got into a bit of tussle this weekend and it's related to Cornette. Basically the opinions he shares of Cornette in the video are how I feel about him.
The context of the video doesn't really apply to the company and I don't really pay much attention to it. But yeah, what little respect I had for him "as a person" is gone (probably could have been gone a lot longer ago).

This is a disappointing development. There’s no excusing his comment in any way (and since these are pre recorded, how did it make it to the final cut in the first place?), so this is the drizzling shits especially knowing how proud of the product and the group of wrestlers they have at NWA he is (he talks about it from time to time on his podcasts). It’s inexcusable to make comments like that (and in my opinion it’s sad that it was ever okay to be a bigot in the media), and maybe he did agree to step away so that the focus could be firmly where he preaches ad nauseam in his podcasts, on good story telling, good wrestling matches, and good wrestlers. I hope NWA can keep its momentum and fans will continue to enjoy this style of show.
What a bummer, love or hate the guy, he’s a true character and an amazing wrestling historian, and I liked the way he talked about the matches while doing colour instead of shamelessly constantly plugging merch and PPVs, but there’s no room for dumb shit like that anywhere.

Well he'll still be on the next episode....that was recorded in October like all the others. Well unless they drastically edit the next taped episode he'll have to be on the go home episode for the PPV.
Which brings up a point everyone is missing. Look the comment was in very bad taste but....he said it a MONTH ago. They left it in there on purpose or by accident. Seemingly they don't watch their own pre-taped product.....well I mean they must. Notice all the quick cuts that would never be their live....just seems odd they suddenly forgot how to edit; well until they took 2 hours to silence 9 seconds of audio.

That being said, I really enjoyed Nick Aldis and Trevor Murdoch. And I love that the Question Mark was so over. :D

Holiday episode just a few interviews, some recaps, and an empty studio match. Thunder Rosa mma thing takes up most the episode. Totally skippable

According to Eli Drake and Nick Aldis, the recap show was always a thing and not because of Jim Cornette. ......Like that made it better? lol
Even people who are glad Jims gone where blasting this episode in the comments. There was no excuse for a pretaped show to have a clipshow run down; if there was no need to edit it or reshoot it.
Supposedly Jim's version of the Rock N Roll Express vs Wildcard will still air next week; which if so just baffles me. If they air the go home show un-edited with Jim in his final taped appearance then there was no and I mean no excuse for a clipshow.
I mean why kill all momentum before your brands first big ppv?
