While I enjoy all the continued support, at this point it starts feeling prohibitive for new players to get into the game. If you buy a fresh copy of Fire Pro Wrestling World at this point, you need 4 different DLC packs to get all the moves and appearance options, and there's no easy way to know if an edit you're interested in downloading requires DLC unless the creator notes it in the description. This seems like the sort of thing that could drive people away. If they keep adding more customization options in paid DLC, the problem just gets exacerbated. Welcome to video gaming in 2019

Aren't glad I've paid the same price over nearly two and a half years for one game as I would yearly for the leading competitor.

The publisher needs to actively check off whichever DLC is included in an edit. It's still not automatic.

There are pros and cons to each approach. I like that FPW is a long term investment, and I don't have to throw the baby out with the bathwater every 12 months. Thankfully, Stardom wasn't a pre-order bonus for FPW 2K20. I play this game constantly going back to 2001. I like having periodical content updates that add to and expand my CURRENT experience.
Other people can wait for sales.
I just started playing Cities Skylines. Lots of things I want or need are spread around a dozen 20$ expansions. I'll get the ones I want over time.

I never check off DLC for the stuff I upload (there's not even an option for it that I've seen) and those are on all of the DLC-using edits I've published ...actually, maybe the automatic checking is a feature included in the modpack?

Yeah, there's a ModPack component that will automate it.

Yeah otherwise you have to go into steam workshop and mark the dlc Wow, this is great information to have! 💡 I didn't know we even had the option to do this in the Workshop. I can see it now. It's under the "Owner Controls" (written in green) on the bottom right of each Edit Workshop page. It says "Add/Remove Required DLC" I wish Spike/Steam let us do this too when uploading from Fire Pro World itself. Looks like I have some DLC to add!

It should be automatic. The game already has this information and uses it in the editor. It's a simple of job of checking and setting some flags when you do the upload.

Shame PS4’s FirePro-W doesn’t list DLC. Not everyone is on PC
