Heyo, everyone. I was extremely happy with the turnout from last year's Star of the Jar tournament. As expected, though, I'd like to propose some changes to make things more interesting for this year's tournament.
Of course, I do have guidelines for the Star of the Jar, that may change:
1. Have Fun. It's daunting for new creators to get started making edits, but there are guides available and really cool people within this Community to learn from and may give you suggestions if you're willing to read and learn from them.
2. These edits must be competitive, not Concrete. Please don't come into this tournament with the intent to only win.
3. The points limit for edits in this tournament cannot exceed 100 points. This is aimed and intended for new/rookie-level edits and creators. Veteran edit creators are also allowed to make an edit as well.
4. One edit per user only. I'm looking for an 8 edit tournament, with a potential 16 entrants if there's enough interest.
5. Have Fun. Yeah, there's rules and regulations to follow, but this shouldn't discourage you from trying this out.
Also, like last year, I am allowing PS4 users to submit their own edits for this year's Star of the Jar. It was fun creating them and porting them over.
-----
A couple new regulations and experimental proposals will come into effect this year. One proposal will be polled.
1. The winner of this year's Star of the Jar will face the 2018 Star of the Jar, aroo's El Mentón.
2. Edits made or are debuting as rookies in 2019 are eligible for the 2019 Star of the Jar.
EP1. The proposed new points limit will be 100 points, and 80 for G Sized edits with Giant/Giant fight and return styles. There will still be no Special skills, and Critical Skill will remain at Finish.
EP2. Regarding Ukemi, there will be no 0/0/0 nor 100/100/100 Ukemi. The only creator who submitted an edit with these extreme settings isn't here anymore.
I'm also willing to listen to input from this Community regarding these issues and others that haven't been addressed here. The poll for the 100/80 point limit will run from August 1st to September 1st.
The last day for edit submissions this time will be November 15th. It's a smaller window, but more time to observe and evaluate the talent. Once again, the Tournament proper kicks off on December 1st.

No individual attribute can go over 7, with the exception of Entertainment Defense. No special skills, and Critical Skill set to Finish only.
Giant sized edits using Giant attack and return styles cannot exceed 80 points.
