Is there any chance we'll get new/customizable arenas? Because I'd be way into that. Like, I'm all for custom moves and stuff, but it'd be really awesome to have a gymnasium or some other small, small venue type. I'll even settle for just being able to change some colors on Korakuen without mods.
Matsumoto did mention additional venues at one point so that's something I'm still optimistic about.
Yeah, it's kinda weird that FPR has more venues when it was released some 10 years earlier. I also like the Dojo in FPR more than World...World looks too much like a WWE Performance Center setup. One of the many reasons I got this game was to be anti WWE :)

Interesting and thanks for the explanation 💡 So those who have been using the wazamake program essentially extracted or accessed it from inside the Fire Pro code? Therefore, has it been updated with each new version of FPW? I've never really wrapped my head fully around the concept of what people have been doing with it. I just know that it's a difficult program to use for various reasons, not the least of them being the lack of English option. Wazamake was removed from 2.0 by Spike, so the people making moves have been accessing it with a modded version of 1.02. There have been no updates to wazamake since then, so nobody really knows what Spike plans on doing with it. I think a general polishing up of the current mode is a reasonable expectation; it will probably maintain the same functionality with some minor additions so players can use the tool to import moves directly into the game. I don't think it will be any easier to use (besides being translated to English), but if you're willing to spend the time and effort to figure it out then you can make any move you want. Thank for the answer! That was exactly the information I was looking for 💡 I don't know how good I'll be at move splicing but I figure being intentionally bad has value too 😁 "This wrestler seems to quickly jump forward in time while doing his moves..." All this Danshoku talk...makes me wonder...what if instead if a Shining Wizard you could customize something where you can have him do the actual Shining Hump? I used to rp as a vampire character named Kindred waaayyyyy back in the day. His move was the Impalement (Avalanche DDT). I'm thinking an Avalanche Karelin's Lift might be better if it could be customized on the PS4.
I absolutely love the idea of an Avalanche Karelin Lift!!!!! 👏

Encrypted Virus: Starts out like a powerbomb until there up, Then they get swung (As if for a facebuster) but dropped onto the person giving the move, knees, code breaker style

Kind of small thinking here but remember that neat powerbomb counter that Billy Kidman used to do? You could probably make that an actual move with an editor tool.
It was always one of my favorite moves in Revenge and No Mercy. Would be cool to see it in Fire Pro.

I think they assign it to Rey Mysterio in the WWE games, too.

^yeah, that one
I can remember Rey doing it in old WWE games but not any of the more recent ones where he's in (though I could have just missed it; think I'd recognize it though)
and lol @ Dawnbr3ak3r
I remember that meme (back before they were called memes). Kidman had like a 98% chance of countering a powerbomb into a facebuster. It was pretty great, especially when that very rare instance where he DID get powerbombed happened and you were like "oh, damn" as he's laid out on the mat xD. Him actually taking the move made it seem so much more devastating than it otherwise would have been.

A recapper I used to read would literally refer to that move as You Can't Powerbomb Kidman, like that was its proper name.
There's a very similar DDT reversal in the game already, although I don't think reversal animations can currently be pulled. Maybe that would change if they release an "official" version, though.

The cool thing about editing tools is that, even if they are too complex for the average user, there will always be a group of people making cool new content for everyone to use.
I think a good use would be to make top rope "knees up" counters to all the diving moves by giving the move a negative damage value.
Also cloning MMA grapples without so much spirit drain so they can be used more accurately by pro wrestlers.

Even if it doesn't land on the PS4, someone needs to make a better Coup de Grace.

Give me an example of when that counter triggers and I can probably find it. Sounds like a move I would want in my normal moveset options.

The DDT counter to a powerbomb-esque move is American or Junior return style I think. I know the rana counter is Luchador return style, but I'm not 100% sure on the DDT.

Yeah, I've seen the entry for that move before. It's a pain in the ass to find, but it's accessible. Looking at all the issues we had when learning waza makes me wonder if Spike will attempt to create tutorials for it. It's not an easy thing to teach, but it's not something that Spike should rely on the community for. Hopefully they provide very detailed instructions on what everything does; every row, column and field option.

Longtime player and lurker, super rarely post. I am PSYCHED for this, moreso the asset maker than the move one but both sound killer. Three things...
1. Assuming this comes to PS4 as well, they better have no limit to downloaded moves and parts. If they do, that'll be a huge bummer.
2. I'm hoping for a lot of basic move additions that you'd think would already be in the game. Really expand certain positions - more corner to center, more springboard, more apron moves, more dives.
3. One has to wonder how they'll restrict people simply recreating DLC moves and parts.

I'm sure PS4 will have limits on created assets for the same reason that it has limits to rings/edits. And with those limitations, I doubt they'll need to be concerned about players just recreating DLC moves and parts (they'll probably restrict everyone from loading the DLC move and part files, anyway). If you're limited to 50 moves/parts (for example), why would you waste slots on existing DLC content instead of getting some custom items that aren't available anywhere else?
I'm curious to see how Spike makes the existing custom moves compatible with the PS4 version though. They're probably the most sought after mod-related item by the PS4 audience at the moment and none of the existing creators would move to another platform that's completely separate from what they've already done.
