La Dispute's last album has been a blast and, along with the These New Puritans album, are fighting AOTY right now.

Man, I just had to post this somewhere to celebrate my triumph. I heard this song play over the PA between sets at a music festival called Bospop in Holland... in 2002. I always remembered the riff and the general sound of the song, but as you can probably imagine, I was not able to catch enough (or any) of the lyrics that one time I heard it for me to be able to search for the song later. Over the past seventeen years, I've had moments where I thought I might've finally found it, but to no avail. Yesterday we had a big old punk rock discussion on Discord, which of course inspired me to listen to some old punk on Youtube, letting autoplay do its thang, and out of absolutely nowhere THE GOD DAMN SONG THAT'S HAUNTED ME FOR SEVENTEEN YEARS CAME ON! And apparently, it was "Beautiful Feeling Pt. III" by Rich Kids on LSD all along!

Amsterdam, man... I feel your suffering and cheer your victory on your journey. It has happened to me before but not by a span of more than 15 damn years! I salute you, scavenger comrade

It was a serious full-circle moment for me because I heard that song the last time I saw Suicidal Tendencies live, and last night I stumbled on that song minutes after buying Suicidal Tendencies (plus Rancid and Pennywise) tickets! (Which will also be my two daughters' first concert; making sure they grow up to be bad ass punks! :P)

Hinder won. Not even close. Ugh.
As it turns out, the station had a side contest going for various giveaways and had assigned each band to one of a handful of listeners.
Thus, the guy that was given Hinder rallied the hell out of anyone that would listen to vote for Hinder.
Even Hinder themselves thought they were gonna be out in the first round.
I don't usually care about this thing but I looked out of curiosity when it got to the semifinals. I don't intend to make that mistake again next year.

Out of all the singles released from the 70s through the 00s, why on earth is Trapt's "Headstrong" the one I have to hear at least once almost every night on the radio? I didn't like it when it was new, and I liked nu-metal as much as the next Millennial, so now I don't get how it came to be considered a classic.

I think I've put too much negativity into this thread. To offset that, here's something positive.
KATT used to have a kickass metal show on Friday nights, and this is one of my favorite songs I discovered through it. Seriously, it was stuck in my head the rest of that weekend after I first heard it, which is rare for me.
This is power metal going disco as Turisas covers Boney M's "Rasputin."

Insanely driving, fuzzy psychedelic rock album from Japanese trio Hibushibire. Never heard of these guys before today, but I am instantly a fan. They totally remind me of another fuzzed out hard rocking Japanese band called High Rise (who are also amazing if you've never heard them).

I pulled up Rev Theory's "Hell Yeah" because of recent events and what did that immediately put into my recommended videos list? "Headstrong." Et tu, YouTube? :|

It literally won an award along the lines of 'song of the decade' or some shit.
It was just lone-wolf, emo kid anthem.

Seriously? I mean, I remember it being a WWE PPV theme one month and it was also featured in a couple of video games but I didn't know it was ever that popular.

Between two very "real talk" conversations:
Bizarre Love Triangle- New Order Something to Talk About- Bonnie Raitt Hopeless Wander- Mumford and Sons Why Can't This Be Love?- Van Halen Heartbreak Beat- Psychedelic Furs I Feel It Coming -The Weeknd
And some more banter with the perpetually flirty: Wasted Love (Iron Maiden) Fastlove (George Michael)

Scored big on a visit to the thrift store yesterday! I've been on a militant, revolutionary-ass reggae kick lately, so finding Black Uhuru on the shelf was a big treat.

So the Woodstock 50th anniversary show is finally, after much struggle, confirmed dead. Honesty, after what happened at Woodstock '99, I was surprised they even tried in the first place.

Just in case you didn't think Babymetal was obnoxiously cute enough, feast your eyes on CHARAMEL.
Yes, that's a giant kappa playing bass.
