My new job duties has lent itself to gobs of music listening. I have a very narrow taste in metal (stoner, sludge, doom, drone) and 2018 has been a banger year.
1. Sleep - The Sciences (also their adult swim single "Leagues Beneath" may be one of my favorite Sleep songs of all time) 2. YOB - Our Raw Heart - Not a quick listen, but then again, Lawrence of Arabia isn't a quick watch. 3. Earthless - Black Heaven - Might be their best work to date. 4. Green Druid - Ashen Blood - This album is making waves, figured I'd give local boys a signal boost. Excellent album. 5. Svvamp - Svvamp 2 - So good, does what Graveyard used to do, but way better.
Others: Weedpecker, Bongripper, Somali Yacht Club, Yawning Man, Gozu, Corrosion of Conformity, Fu Manchu, and the new Death Alley is one of my personal favorites from this year.

John Coltrane - Both Directions at Once Todd Rundgren - A Wizard, A True Star Plasmatics - Coup d'Etat Florence + The Machine - High as Hope George Szell/Cleveland Symphony Orchestra - Beethoven's 7th Herbie Hancock - Takin' Off Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombone Black Stone Cherry - Family Tree Joni Mitchell - Song to a Seagull Saxon - Wheels of Steel Robert Finley - Goin' Platnum Sylvia Mason - Sylvia Mason I could go on, but I think you get the idea. Now that's what I call music! My parents' first date was to see The Plasmatics. Probably one out of every five of my edits has a Saxon song as their entrance theme. Tom Waits is one of the coolest dudes to have ever lived. Excellent list. I just opened a deli with a retro sorta 50s/60s theme, so it's been nothing but surf music for me lately, along with a small smattering of British beat music and what not. To be honest, that's typically true for me, with or without the deli; I'm a surf rock nut. My current top songs are: "The Trouble with Those Mothra Girls" by Daikaiju "Bobsleddin'" by Los Straitjackets "Standing On The Nose In A Stylish Manner" by The Bambi Molesters "Neutron Sabre" by The Space Cossacks "The Silly Elephant Who Stomped To Tea' by The Mermen "Rincon" by The Eliminators "The Wild Surf" by Jan & Dean "Someday We're Gonna Love Again" by The Searchers "Angels Wanna Wear My Red Shoes" by Elvis Costello

Naturally I listen to some of the wrestlers' theme songs like Kenny Omega, The Rock, etc,.
Other times, it's Bodycount, Ice-T, KRS-One, Korn, etc,.

Been doing a huge project of listening to all the bands I own. I collect CD's and have not listened to a lot of them. Right now I'm stuck on Six Feet Under.

Maximum Violence blew my tiny little high school freshmen mind. Man I was so dumb. I heard their cover of War Machine and my first reaction was "That's Taz's theme!"

Is it weird that the only thing I know in this topic is the anime Berserk?

Ever since I saw Neurosis in Denver last week, I have put together a Neurosis Omnibus playlist. It's really cool to take the journey.
