I've managed to burn out on Fire Pro (no pun intended) again, even without working on tools or anything. Very disappointing and I have to wonder if I should just gtfo entirely.

Here to bitch about young, perfectly healthy, strong looking men and women who insist on pushing the handicap button to open doors. The little picture of the blue dude in a wheelchair should scream to the people I mentioned "Hey dipshit, not you! Put your phone down and use your godamned arms to open this bitch!". Same assholes never seem to have the time or energy to hold doors open for people who could actually use the help. End of rant. (for now) Also, THIS.
Lots of forest fires in British Columbia and the smoke rolls East towards us, so this is what we woke up to this morning. There are no colour filters on this picture, this is EXACTLY what it looks like here right now, it's eerie as shit, never seen anything like it. The smoke was far worse last weekend, but it didn't have this crazy, orange/yellow colour to it! The picture is from a local storm/weather chaser Nevin deMilliano and is a great representation of what it looks like here! In Montana, and while it isn't as bad, the air here is terrible. I live in a valley surrounded by mountains. I haven't seen the mountains in maybe a month due to smoke. |

Sadly it can't have been the game, as I haven't booted it for months. :/
It just seems like when things go good, something bad happens.
Early Access version was alright, but they had to fire the original dev team.
Obtained NJPW license? Cool, but it's going to push back development.
PS4 version released in Japan! but it's buggy as all hell.
Then the news of the delay comes out and now a decent number of people want the dev team's head on a pike. So unfortunately, it is the community again. :(
I'll probably still lurk, but not really participate much.

FPWW for PS4 is awesome, I've only had two minor bugs that went away immediately.
Since this is the bitching thread though, holy crap do some of the NJPW guys look kinda bizarre, I honestly think the edits on PC with the pre-existing faces generally look better. Kitamura, for example, looks like someone shaved off the lower half of his body and left him in the desert for weeks.

You know, seeing stuff for the upcoming Venom movie rekindles my anger at the utterly ridiculous casting of Topher Grace as the character in Spider-Man 3. I mean, there were other things wrong with that puddle of a film but there was nothing the least bit physically or even intellectually intimidating about a 120 lb actor playing a character that's known for being a physical brute and having the build to match. I can give a 30 year old Tobey McGuire a pass for playing a character a decade or so younger than himself but a skinny goddamn Eddie Brock was a friggin line that they shouldn't have crossed! It's the rough equivalent of having Kevin Hart play Luke Cage.

I've avoided being snarky to the massive influx of newcomers to Fire Pro, mainly because when I first joined the Arena last year I asked some supremely stupid questions myself that resulted in Carlzilla calling me a moron and all that jazz, and honestly it did make me feel pretty badly and rather unwelcome on the site, and I don't think I posted again for several months until I had a couple hundred hours under my belt. So I can totally relate to being a completely clueless newbie who has an idiotic question in need of answering, and wouldn't want to drive anyone away since they could be our next great edit maker or modder if given a chance and a little support...
That said... Holy shit does nobody poke around the forum for even a minute or consult a search engine before they post their extraordinarily elementary questions?! The two Fire Pro Facebook groups I'm in are just about ruined by the million posts of "where are my downloaded wrestlers?" and "where are the Young Bucks?" and so on and so forth. This site is obviously moderated and maintained far better than the FB groups, but I'm still amazed how often I see the same questions asked that already have answers right there ready to read if only they'd look for a few moments.

My mouse wheel's broke and wont scroll, I opened it up to see what was wrong and it turns out Cooler Master decided to make a tiny fragile piece of plastic the main component in it's design. It's about 1cm thick for gods sake! even I could tell that this was a stupid idea to make it out of plastic and I'm not a freakin' design engineer. It's a game mouse as well so it cost around £35 and is out of warranty so if I want it replaced it's gonna cost me, but now that I'm used to a high quality gaming mouse I don't think I could ever go back to cheap ones.
