Oh great, we're supposed to get hit with another heatwave starting tomorrow and lasting about a week. This is also my working three day weekend so the next 72 hours are going to be brutal. When it's hot like this I actually spend between $25-$30 on drinks alone, per twelve hour shift. Entirely possible our last shift on Sunday may only be an eight hour shift though.

Preface: I use a loofa to wash with when I'm in the shower. I also have absolutely horrible vision, can't see a damn thing several inches in front of my face when I don't have my glasses on.
I absolutely hate the fact that every damn loofa has a matching color string (used to hang it from a shower caddy or whatever) because when I'm in the shower I have to spin the damn thing around easily 20 times before I can find it and hang it so I can rinse off. JUST MAKE THE DAMN STRING A DIFFERENT COLOR!!

Water quality issues where I work. While it's been cleared to drink, the last time I drank from a fountain I almost had to stop off in a washroom and puke it up. Haven't had the water there ever since.

I try to take bottles from home and I don't have any way to keep water cool so I do feel your pain there.

My exgf was served last Wednesday with the ex parte order I filed against her on the 11th and no one bothered to tell me. It gets worse. Today was the day of the hearing for a permanent restraining order, so I showed up at city hall early and asked if she'd been served. They told me she had not yet been served. Know how I found out about it? The court calls me after 9 AM and asks me why I'm not in the court room, and that my ex was there waiting for the hearing. They would offer no explanation, apology, nothing for not having their shit together.
The clerk I talked to before the hearing this morning told me that there wouldn't be a hearing if she wasn't served but that I COULD still go in there if I wanted them to continue to try to serve her the ex parte. I've never been to court before, so I wrongly deduced from what he told me that I didn't need to go in unless I wanted them to continue trying to serve her. I hadn't heard from her in over a week, so I decided to abandon it. I'll take some blame for this because I should have asked better questions and double checked. It would have saved me the embarrassment of showing up late and being labeled a "no show".

Wingstop radio commercial just advertised 'Siri-atcha' flavored wings.

Wingstop radio commercial just advertised 'Siri-atcha' flavored wings. I'm dying on the inside. Speaking of radio commercials, if I could ever track down every single person involved with the ear cancer known as the advertisements for "Cars(no I will not spell it their way) for Kids," many heads will be kicked.

Speaking of radio commercials Flashback to the Mayweather/Pacquiao commericials with the speaker going "ITS GOING TO BE A NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH." always annoyed the shit out of me. It's a boxing match. HOLDS ARE BARRED. CHOOSE A DIFFERENT FREAKING HYPE PHRASE.

Here to bitch about young, perfectly healthy, strong looking men and women who insist on pushing the handicap button to open doors. The little picture of the blue dude in a wheelchair should scream to the people I mentioned "Hey dipshit, not you! Put your phone down and use your godamned arms to open this bitch!". Same assholes never seem to have the time or energy to hold doors open for people who could actually use the help. End of rant. (for now) Also, THIS.
Lots of forest fires in British Columbia and the smoke rolls East towards us, so this is what we woke up to this morning. There are no colour filters on this picture, this is EXACTLY what it looks like here right now, it's eerie as shit, never seen anything like it. The smoke was far worse last weekend, but it didn't have this crazy, orange/yellow colour to it! The picture is from a local storm/weather chaser Nevin deMilliano and is a great representation of what it looks like here!

Our week long heat wave has finally started to cool down... five weeks later. In the last five weeks I worked out only twice because it was so hot. Trying to sleep feeling like you have a malaria fever means you slip in and out of consciousness minutes at a time. First time I got a good night sleep was today. I never thought I'd be looking forward to fall, but we're only four or five weeks away from the first leaves starting to change.
