BEHOLD THE INDESCRIBABLE BEAUTY OFThe Atlas of E-FedsA Customized Google Map of All Our Fictional Feds
So I was working on a thing where I was plotting my handful of fictional feds onto a map and marking off the territories, when a thought struck me... What would a world map with ALL of our fictional federations pinpointed on it look like? I for one would find it really interesting to look over such a map. It could even prove useful for people trying to create a Fire Promoter save out of community OCs, to help decide on regions and what not. I could also picture people using it to find feds similar to theirs to have a little territorial squabble with, or to find areas of the map that are underrepresented and could use a fed. I decided to start this thread to kick this idea around with you all a bit before I just go ahead and get all crazy on it. If people were interested in making this map with me, how should we go about it? Can some sort of custom Google map be made where we can all go in and drop our pins by ourselves? Or perhaps just people list their feds names and headquarters in this thread, and I could just plot them myself onto a publicly viewable map? Anyone have any other ideas that could be incorporated? |

Wacker Drive Revival: Chicago, IL
TIPWF: Amarillo, TX
Lightning Pro: Kyoto, Japan
Pan African Wrestling: No fixed location, but Lagos, Nigeria and Kinshasa, DR Congo would be the main ones

Sweet, Senator! I'm gonna open a federation in Brazzaville and we're gonna moon your PAW guys from across the river.
And yeah, I think people should just list their fed locations and I'll plot them onto the map myself. I looked into making a publicly editable map, but that leaves it open to vandalism, peoples screwing up other's pins by accident, people not uniformly entering the info, etc. And also, the actual act of placing a pin isn't anywhere near as intuitive as it should be!

Phoenix Rising and Evergreen Wrestling both operate out of the same building in Olympia, Washington. I have yet to really figure out where in the city it could be (considering I live in Olympia) but I'm sure there's a nice spot somewhere around here that it could -technically- be. :P
The Blackwood Academy runs out of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Yeah, I'm pretty firmly running my stuff out of the Pacific Northwest. I'm certainly not the only one.

I was having so much fun I had half a mind to just start scouring the efed forum for promotions to add, but then again I don't wanna put someone on here unless they tell me they wanna be included in the atlas. But hey, at least now I can justifiably go around telling people I have the power to really put their promotion on the map! |

My fed is probably still a couple month out, at best, from being a working thing and has a tour area. And since my other two rosters being worked on technically no longer exist I don't have anything to add right now.

Do you at least have a state in mind that the MWWC might be headquartered in, if not a city? I'd love to add MWWC to the map somehow since I've become familiar with some of those guys via the purple jacket society. |

I'd love to add MWWC to the map somehow since I've become familiar with some of those guys via the purple jacket society. Ok so I created my map of the touring circuit I had a rough idea of. And Minneapolis ended up being just north of that ring and isn't a common choice so yeah Minneapolis. So the circuit for those that are curious is Rochester, Mn to Milwaukee, Wi to Chicago, Il, to Indianapolis, In to Evansville, In, to St Louis, MO To Kansas City to Omaha, Ne to Sioux Falls, SD back to Rochester. Probably a big show in Minneapolis before the return to Rochester. Edit: Minneapolis is the HQ I just realized I didn't clarify that. Edit 2: Shows are recorded in Chicago, Indianapolis, and St Louis, and then any show in Minneapolis for their streaming service. All other stops are house shows, results will not be recorded. |
