Reserving a spot for Canadian-American, Cutie Catastrope, Didi Taylor.
Because loopholes.

Got 'em listed. Dawn's edit is in a separate category so I can slot her in for either side. Loopholes rock that way.

Got him lined up. I'm probably gonna try and do a few rounds of testing here soon, though it may wait until I start feeling a little better. This cough is kicking my ass.

Due to events from Badlands, Maverick Reed will be my USA rep. He should play well but let me know if those knees are too much...

i would really like to be involved in this, if that's cool (i made a character like a week ago whose gimmick is that she's kind of a Muhammad Ali-esque "smack-talking all-american hero who's well aware she'll never appeal to 90% of the broader american populace" type deal and i think she'd be a cool fit for something like this); i feel like i should ask first though, what's the stance on the Shooter/Fighter/Grappler fighting styles? currently she has the Fighter one bc her whole moveset's v kickboxing-y but i know those tend to win a lot so if you want i should change that to something else before uploading her, i'm totally cool with doing that alright, here she is: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1702459669 feel free to mess around with her and see if she's any good or if she's no-good stinkin' garbage, as i said i don't mind changing her fight style if she's uncooperative as is It's cool to see someone new to the community contributing an edit to a project and also being so flexible and open to suggestions and edit changes about it 😎

This isn't an issue on its own but what makes it a big issue is that 90% of her moveset makes use of these two stats. This means that she hits very hard, very often. 2. Strike Critical type. Once again, because of her moveset this gives Edie the ability to end a match at pretty much any time after the bell rings xD I'll also add that her moveset overall seems quite stacked as far as big, hard hitting moves go but, if I'm honest, I haven't had tonnes of time to go over it. I have some more time for Fire Pro tomorrow and intend to take a much more in-depth look at Edie to see what we can do to get her "tournament ready" :)

I'd like to throw Daniel Shine in for Murrica, if I can. I don't remember what his skill is honestly but he's probably shown himself to be my most balanced edit, anyway so I think he'll do alright. Let me know if he needs modification because I haven't updated my edits in a while.

OK, so I just ran a late-night league with the USA edits that are confirmed and/or tentative (some of which have been through PM). Here's the final standings for those 12 edits. Observations
Three things scare the shit out of me in this league: Upside Down Man (because he's a weird freak and also HORRIFICALLY STRONG), Justin Maverick (goddamn the man can go... plowed through most of the competition including the nearly-undefeated Upside Down Man), and Ricky Heller's Figure Four Leglock (he scored two CRITs with it). One of those isn't an issue, obviously, RNG is gonna RNG, and Heller's a very sane, balanced edit. Justin Maverick and Upside Down Man are clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the field, and it's not in any question after that result. Both are very, VERY strong edits, and doing a little digging tells me that Upside Down Man has a lot of the same deal that Edie Queen had: his offensive parameters are very, very high in a lot of categories, ones that he makes a lot of use of, and his defenses are really stiff, as well. Nobody was really able to punch through him except for Justin Maverick... and that's because he's got nothing below a 6 in offense himself, along with equally stiff defenses to match. Toss in a bit of MMA work from Upside Down Man and not a single one of his matches went past 12 minutes. I'm honestly not usually one to call this stuff out so up-front, but honestly, I feel like I gotta say something about it. Remember, first and foremost: this is a showcase tournament. This is an event that prides match quality (and I don't mean in-game rating) above all else. Yes, someone's going to win it, but if that's all you care about, this isn't the right place for it. I'm not saying that you guys are only out to win the thing, but seeing above-average offense in every category, 200 points and Do or Die (by the way, please, please remember what I said about skills, guys)... I dunno if Heidi Hansen is underpowered or just exceedingly unlucky. I'm leaning a bit towards the latter, to be honest. Things just didn't click, I suspect, or she simply got outpaced in that particular sim. Minor details: Daniel Shine's running Guts, which isn't a huge deal but I'd honestly prefer it to not be there just for the sake of balancing the whole field. Justice has... some oddities? He has this odd habit of just slapping on a Stretch Plum whenever the hell in Critical damage, and ended at least one match that way. He might also have a very small random pin chance in Critical though I haven't seen him actually end off one of those random pins yet (but I guarantee that if I turned OBS on, it'd probably happen first sim, I bet). For the most part, everything else seems pretty solid. Tsaoring Chou got off to a roaring start but fell off a bit and settled back into the middle of the pack. Everyone else was pretty well settled into their spots mid-way through. I'll be shooting off a few PMs here in a moment just so the people involved can get an idea of my concerns here. I know I said "don't judge people and their edits" so I'm not going any further than this: these are just my observations and my reasoning.

Tsaoring Chou got off to a roaring start but fell off a bit and settled back into the middle of the pack. All feedback is welcome and appreciated for him 😎 I was surprised he had an over :500 record and that he started with an early lead. He's a huge underdog in my matches against my juniors and especially my heavies. I want him to be a little higher on my card in terms of his win percentage (against my other edits) and overall competitiveness in game since FPW understates his actual e-fed push. The thing that I do like about him in the majority of my sims is that he usually plays the underdog face really well and makes some fun comebacks. I love when he hits his back grapple counter kick and then goes into his Special Taunt (which gives him spirit) before going for a big run to even the match and occasionally get a win. If you notice anything particular about him being more competitive than he should, please let me know. I do think he's under-pointed in comparison to my edits but I don't know about the edits in the tournament. It's possible a small point reduction in one category gets him closer to :500 against the others. I don't think his parameter/move/logic combination is domineering (he doesn't like heavily rely on punches and have a high punch parameter or anything like that). I know he sometimes hits his finisher a little earlier than I want but when I've dropped it by 1%, I never see it again, LOL. I'm actually running a "just juniors" league with him against other UBL junior edits that I consider more competitive than his so I'll check in to see how he does. P.S. Is that Upside-Down Man a Stranger Things reference? Because I really don't want any of the edits being infected with some kind of alternate dimensional virus. Please add that restriction to the rules 😁

All right. Having officially added Justice onto the list, and adding Fury onto the US side, I've now shifted Dawn's Didi Taylor into the Canadian bracket now that the USA bracket is filled (save those I'm still waiting for responses from). I'll also toss JJB a Canadian spot (Sorry, Josh, I did mention one or the other at the start but I'll absolutely have a spot reserved for you here).
This means our current situation stands thusly: I'm waiting for the USA entrants from Faulknasty, Osiris, Takuan, SamGladwin (I know, I know, you've submitted two so far but... see above), and Fury, and I'm waiting to fill four more Canadian slots, plus whatever JJB decides to toss in.
Chances are strong, now, that I won't require anyone to double-up on edits this year, which is cool.

When do you want the wrestler submitted by? I've kinda struggling with getting most of my edits where I want them to be. There's one i have that is complete but I was hoping to have someone I haven't used much in the tournament
