That would stop the DLC from being standalone. I see. Is the junior DLC completely independent from the heavyweight DLC? I cant imagine just the New Japan juniors being in the Fighting Road scenarios (eh multiman tags, interaction with faction leaders etc) that would be disappointing.

It said in the store that the Jr DLC required the NJPW when I bought it, but not sure if that's actually the case. I haven't bothered to even start that Fighting Road mode yet.

I believe it's basically listed as a dlc for the dlc

The Jr DLC required the NJPW DLC because they both use the same Fighting Road assets. If this Suda DLC does as well, I could see NJPW DLC being a requirement. When they stated it would be stand-alone, I'm sure they meant story-wise.

This sounds great! Thanks for the recap of the original Champion Road story as well.
Hopefully the ending of Champion Road II will be less dark but who knows with Suda...

Suda will have the protagonist sign a 10 year contract with Impact Wrestling.

Suicide is definitely the better option then!

OK, so I started playing the Jr Heavyweight DLC last night, on PS4. One thing I'm confused about: I have seen zero wrestlers in the cut scenes so far. Like when Liger and Kushida are talking to my character, I still see a picture of an empty ring, and that's it. Is this a bug, or is this actually something the developers intended? Kind of lame, IMHO.

I am playing on PS4 and updated to the latest version. Can't figure out why this would be happening. No, I'm not playing a pirated version or anything like that.

The only other thing I could suggest is a complete reinstall. A ball-ache but it fixes a few things.

I'm playing the US version. Maybe I'll try a reinstall. Kind of sucks to lose all the edits and rings and stuff I had downloaded, but oh well.

Tomozou mentioned on twitter today they are recording voice samples for four new wrestlers. Also hinted something else is in the works for Fire Pro, but didn't elaborate if this is something new we don't know about yet or just another info dump on the upcoming DLC.

Would love to see the All Elite roster added as DLC.
