I know this topic has been discussed before but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer or method.
Is changing a Wrestler's style in Fire Promoter as simple as changing the fighting/offensive style within the edit. And, if so, does defensive style factor in too?
Or do you have to do something within Fire Promoter mode to change their style like offering them to other promotions who work the style you want the wrestler to change to? Or maybe even changing the audience ranking style of any match that you put them in for your own events?
I want to have some more style variety within my promotion. It's like 95% King's Road and 5% Strong Style despite the fact that some of my edits listed as King's Road work matches closer to Strong Style. I think I'd have more success offering wrestlers to other promotions, and creating a better working relationship with them, if I had more variety and ability to shop my wrestlers around.

i dont have a definite answer but a few of my guys changed over time by just putting them in matches of different styles against opponents from other styles and earning good ratings.

Thanks! Seems like that is at least one option then 😎 I'll probably try to do that. I doubt it will cost any match ratings in the meantime since the wrestlers I want to switch feel more suited to other styles anyway.

I've noticed this, I had a Kingsroad guy on my roster & he changed to the Showman style to fit my promotion, something, somewhere under the hood must change

I'm currently trying to force some style changes in edits: all of which are King's Road (as my promotion is).
I want Naja Mask to go lucha. I want Tetsu Gushiken to go strong style.
And I have a few wrestlers that make more sense using Showman.
On one hand, it's too bad that we can't set these styles within Fire Promoter. On the other hand, it's kind of a fun mini-game to attempt to change their styles as the mode continues. I do wonder if we will be able to change a style more than once though.
I also wonder what happens if we either modify the edit in edit mode or overwrite the edit slot with the same wrestler. If I was able to get Tetsu to successfully be seen as "Strong Style," would any modification to his edit or overwriting of his edit cause him to revert to "King's Road" as the game initially viewed him?
