Since I recently finally got my fed(s) going again, I decided that I want a corner of my own here.
There’s no format, I guess I’ll be trying different things, but the main purpose is going to be describing the main points, events, people and fights that led us to this day. That's several years packed into a few posts :)
How does my world work?
The setting is more or less a real world setting, there are real wrestlers and real promotions exist but the connection to reality is completely accidental. Wrestlers who died are alive, wrestlers who retired a long time ago can be rookies in my fed (“Lionheart” Chris Jericho, 1-2-3 Kid, etc.). So basically, an alternate reality with a *very* loose timeline. Fictional edits exist too, mostly my own but sometimes also FPCPP guys (Geese, Denizen, etc.).
While WWE, TNA, New Japan and all other feds exist, the story has always been about FPW, a promotion run by Genichiro Tenryu. Think of it as a continuation of SWS and WAR. There were other 'fictional' feds like IPW, run by Tenryu's archrival Shinya Hashimoto but the center of my world is FPW.
What happens these days?
Sonny X, a semi-retired independent wrestler hasn’t been on the scene for years. He used to be highly regarded but aside from a few short runs as champion in lesser known promotions, never made it to the big time. He hardly wrestled in the past few years and basically suffered a big decline. Despite lack of activity, Sonny X still enjoys quite a big following, mainly in the indies. His last successful run was with his partner, the monstrous Russian monster REDD. Together they were known as “RELOAD”. Sonny X & REDD appeared as a tag team in many different independent promotions (sometime joined by other wrestlers like Sonny’s younger brother D-Mask II), until REDD had a serious injury and had to retire (no one actually knows REDD’s age but he is rumored to be in his mid to late 50’s). With REDD gone, Sonny X, who also wasn’t free from nagging injuries and couldn’t keep up with the financial burden of such lifestyle walked away from wrestling.
Now, Sonny X calls for a press conference.
More to come.
