Okay so I think I may have done something dumb.
I completed my first year of Fire Promoter and was offered a sponsorship by "LIT Cola."
I think I misunderstood the way the money transaction worked. They said the COST of this sponsorship was a certain amount of dollars and it was like $100,000 and too high for me to consider. I thought that I would be paying them for their sponsorship but then I later realized that didn't quite make sense. If they are plastering my mat with their logo, wouldn't they pay me for it? Under the sponsorship information, they said i'd receive "no benefits" for the sponsorship so I figured that there was no reason for me to do it. But if they were paying me, well, that's a benefit! So do the sponsors pay your promotion or do you pay them?
I hope I get another chance for a sponsorship after I denied LIT Cola. Their lightning bolt logo would have looked good in the ring too if I ever had Bolt wrestle. Oh well. I probably didn't need my wrestler all hyped up on caffeine before they got into the ring. It would interfere with their Goose juice regimen.

They pay you ($x per month). The benefits in some contracts can include things like x% off towel production, x% off gym upgrades, etc. Do you have a previous save you can boot back to? I try to rotate 3 or 4 so if I goof something up I can go back without losing *too* much progress.

They pay you ($x per month). The benefits in some contracts can include things like x% off towel production, x% off gym upgrades, etc. Cool, thanks for the info!! I think I got confused by the "cost" term since I thought it would cost my promotion. I really should have posted here before I went ahead with dismissing them though. I was able to get some smaller sponsorships - the game had a specific name for it. Even though there was a cost mentioned, they also showed some actual benefits. And I thought the benefits outweighed the costs and now I'm glad to see that there were no costs at all! So I have four of those smaller sponsorships and I'll just have to wait until a major sponsor tries to sign up with me again, perhaps at the end of Year 2. Do you have a previous save you can boot back to? I try to rotate 3 or 4 so if I goof something up I can go back without losing *too* much progress. I've been doing the same thing 😀 Unfortunately I happened to go on a big run through a few months during the same play session and overwrote the older save file. This is just another reminder that I need to have two saves for the same play through and stagger them every few months like you said. I don't want something like this to happen again. As bad luck would have it, a few days before this all happened with the sponsorship, I actually accidentally deleted an earlier save of this playthrough and had to go back a few months and re-do it. So after two incidents, I'll really have to do a better job of maintaining multiple saves.
