Lawton: I'll be the first to admit, Griggs saved me when we were younger. He protected me from other bullies when I was an overweight and less confident version of myself. He was the first to welcome me and he was the first to embrace me with open arms. That's Reg for you...

Griggs: I remember this kid walking in the first day of HS: fat, overweight, wearing glasses, he looked like he lacked confidence, killer instinct. So I befriended him, I treated him like he was my brother. Then that all changed when Jess joined our clique.

Lawton: Me and Griggs were cool until Jess decided to join our clique. I'll be honest, when I first saw her it was some shit out of a movie, like angels were humming and shit. I had a thing for her and she actually had one for me too. So we started going out, being with her made me gain confidence in myself. I began to eat right, train, and exercise, that's when I started to train in boxing and wrestling. I followed Reg into the pit of Hell. My loyalty was rewarded with betrayal.

Griggs: What happened, what ended our friendship you ask? When he began to become a boxer, a damn great one I might add, he became too cocky and confident and began to alienate his girlfriend at the time our friend Jess. With his cockiness and shit, she confided in me and we had an affair. That led to her becoming my wife. [Griggs shows off his wedding band] He never forgave me for that...

Lawton: I remember this match, I dominated the fuck out of him, this is what happened. I had a gameplan to ground and grind him into dust. Griggs was an all action kind of guy, me I plan shit out and I made sure that Griggs couldn't gain any steam that night,

Griggs: He out-wrestled me plain and simple. Lawton took me to school that night and he made me change my style. Adrien is a master planner and knew counters to my counters, I couldn't get nothing off and he did whatever he wanted to me that night. It might've been because she was in the crowd that night...

Lawton: You damn right I wanted to put some extra oomph behind that win, I stared right at her and made her watch, as I beat that scrub into the ground and showed her what she left me for. Fuck her and fuck their family they got!!! [Lawton stares into the camera with empty eyes]

Griggs: That was a humiliating night for me. This isn't happening on nigh.....

*The feed cuts out and a bloody 12/31 symbol shows up*

???: Did you think that it was over? That you were safe from the fire that's coming? The garbage in this promotion will be taken out tonight. Whether you stand by my side or not, you will see me!!

*The feed comes back*

Lawton: Come match 3, Griggs is gonna get turned into dust, his wife won't recognize his ass when I win. She might even be a widow and have to come back to me [Lawton begins to laugh]

Griggs: I'm gonna try my best, this is my last shot at the Title, whether or not I win, I'm gonna hold my head up high, knowing that I was a champion in defeat or victory. Lawton isn't gonna shake me. I'm ready for tonight and the lights won't phase me.
