2019 Women's March Madness

I'm gonna touch on two subjects in this post.

Heel Database - I've decided to enable the heel database for this tournament in the mod pack for the main purpose of heel heat when performing a taunt. In other words, a heel edit will get booed when performing a taunt, even if she doesn't have the heel fight/return style.

So if your edit is a heel and you want her to get booed, let me know and I'll put her in the data base.

I doubt I'll enable the other heel options as I'm trying to make this a balanced tournament.

Now the next subject will be a touchy one and I know I'll piss off some people, but it needs to be said....

Professor Voodoo - I know Zealot has removed him from the men's tournament. But I've decided to keep Voodoo's entry in the women's tournament, pending review of his submitted edit, which he PM'ed me on Discord.

I read the thread in question that got Voodoo banned from this board. I agree the edit in question was racist. I also agree that Voodoo should have handled the situation better. But if that's the only problem with Voodoo, I see no reason to remove Voodoo's entry from the tournament. It's not like he got convicted for child porn, right? I mean, this is a community that once had a tag team with a sex offender gimmick and another edit with a rape gimmick and there was no controversy from that. There was even a wife beater gimmick.

I also admit there are a few people on the list that I do not like, but I accepted their entries anyways because they are part of the community as everyone else and their edits are usually solid. I still have to review them yet, but I don't foresee any problems.

I know I'll ruffle some feathers, keeping Voodoo's entry in the tournament, but that's my decision.

I'll review the submitted edits tomorrow night. TBD's probably should submit their edits by then for review. Otherwise, Friday is my next day off, which means they'd have to wait until then for me to review the edits.

Deadline for entry submissions is March 1st. If I don't have a field of 32 by then, secondary edits will be accepted.

Tentative stream date for the tournament will be Tuesday March 19 or Wednesday March 20, depending on my work schedule. I'll announce the week beforehand on a specific date, but it will be either one of the two days, for sure.

Hi, popping in because I apparently cannot resist the delicious taste of stupid drama.

You do you, Tim, but realize that, besides the racist nature of Voods' edit (and, indeed, maybe a few others of his), a large number of people in this small fandom found him to be rather toxic outside of his insistent and incessant plugging of said racist edit near the end of his time in both the C!C Discord server and this forum.

Including him in a community event when he has mocked the idea of the community having any kinds of standards in general (his whining about the 200 point limit and gross exaggeration of the use of MMA-style mounts on non-MMA characters come to mind in particular), along with what I mentioned before, seems like a bad idea to me.

Granted, I'm not involved in this tourney, but...

The consensus have spoken. Voodoo has been removed from the tournament.

However..........

The damage is already done with just 12 edits on the list now.

I also am removing myself from the tournament. I'm done.
