PS5 Pro isn't surprising, like in any way
Them working on it so early is a bit of a shock since they don't usually release upgraded consoles until 3-4 years into that line's life. I don't know when they started working on the PS4 Pro or PS3 Slim but I do wonder if XBox having a successful launch this time will spur them to roll out their upgraded hardware sooner. Of course, just because we'll assuredly get one upgraded PS5 doesn't mean that it will be the ONLY upgrade they do for the line.

Crapload of new gameplay announcements and teasers shown at the Game Awards. I'm sure I'll get around to finding trailers for everything and posting them here eventually. No Silent Hill or Metal Gear were shown at the awards, but of course the "rumor" is now that Sony is basically saving those reveals as trump cards to offset the next big Microsoft reveal showcase. So let's get started:
Please don't let this suck. I was actually thinking recently how good it would have been to have an actual Evil Dead game and I'm wondering if this is the reason why Ash hasn't appeared in Mortal Kombat yet.
Oh you better believe I am getting this. Super nostalgic memories of the SNES heyday, sitting around with my brothers and some friends and seeing how far each of us could get.
The original Left 4 Dead gang at Turtlerock Studios have come together again to make a spiritual successor to the series, Back 4 Blood
Another classic returning
Evil West, a western with a supernatural twist
Another one I've been waiting for. Already on PC but the console releases are going to be getting all the DLC content for free
I guess the successful Warhammer Vermintide games are now spawning a Warhammer 40k variant called Darktide

MDickie wrestling empire coming to the Switch Jan 11 ($25 CAN, so like $0.50 USD), I am happy for Switch users having a chance to have a non-WWE wrestling game as it seems Retromania will never get released. (I'm skeptical about 2/26/2021)

Nintendo Switch Pro may be coming after all, according to some Switch dataminers; codenamed Aula. Rumored to be as powerful as a base PS4.

Anyone hear word of a Current and Next Gen Boxing game being released?
Last realistic Boxing game I played was Fight Night Round 3 on PS2.
I skipped PS3 to get a Wii, and Showtime Championship Boxing on Wii was a farce.

www.operationsports.com/esports-boxing-club-reveals-55-fighters-on-current-roster-some-features-more/Esports Boxing Club, in spite of being saddled with a less than optimal name, should be just the game you are looking for. Can't wait for this one, if it even comes close to living up to the promise that I'm seeing in these glimpses, it'll finally be that Fight Night killer that we boxing fans have wanted for so long. (It'll not kill my Fire Pro boxing, though!)

It looks like it has promise. I will likely get it if it has a PS4 release.
As for Fire Pro...I am content using S-1 Mode for my BBO...but if I wanted...I could do K-1 with S-1 Mode (obviously) and using SWA, I could create Shoot Boxing. So Yeah, even if I get ESports Boxing, Fire Pro wouldn't be tossed aside.

Esports Boxing Club Look pretty slick! I’ve often wondered what happened to boxing games, I know mixed discipline fighting is in the spotlight these days, but boxing games have always been fun. Thanks for the heads up!

More rumors from twitter: The updated Grand Theft Auto V coming to next gen consoles may be being rebuilt on the improved Red Dead Redemption 2 engine offering an updated physics model. Square-Enix is rumored to be bringing an upgraded FFVII Remake to the PS5, which I think is pretty much guaranteed considering how many platforms standard FFVII ended up coming out on. wccftech.com/final-fantasy-vii-remake-playstation-5-rumor/Additionally Square Enix has trademarked two new IP's linked to the FFVII brand in Ever Crisis and First Soldier. This has a lot of FF fans thinking Ever Crisis could possibly be related somehow to the FFVII prequel Crisis Core and First Soldier is speculated, potential DLC or a standalone game in which we get to play as Sephiroth as First Soldier is likely a reference to Shinra's Soldier program. Also Bethesda has teased they are publishing a new Indiana Jones game. The question remains as to whether or not it will be an MS exclusive though.

^I think the exclusivity of that Indiana Jones game will say a lot about how BethSoft operates now that they're owned by Microsoft
I mean, just because one Bethesda game might have exclusivity on Microsoft consoles doesn't mean that they all will but it would certainly point more to a likelihood than not.
If it will be available on PS5 and/or Switch 2, I would not be surprised if they stagger the release dates by 6-12 months. They would likely want to exercise some advantage of proprietorship, right?

Indiana Jones game, eh? Where have you been all my life? It will be interesting to see how they approach an Indy title and how they’ll make it stand out from what are basically two other Indiana Jones games already out there (uncharted and tomb raider). Would a first person Indy game be interesting? Maybe something along the lines of Wolfenstein or something? They’ve handled nazis excellently so far, and a first person fist fight under a spinning skunk works nazi prop plane with a giant bald Bavarian sounds like a fantastic idea! 😁

Two new biomes coming in the Feb 4th Deep Rock Galactic update and several new enemies.
Also discovered the early access for Beyond the Wire an upcoming 50vs50 WWI shooter.
EDIT: Also opted into the early access of Black Powder Red Earth. An Xcom-esque tactical game based on a comic book series that's getting very positive reviews on Steam.
