99% of PS4 games are gonna work on PS5. The big question is whether or not they will support PS1-PS5 on the same machine. It would be like Spike releasing an official move editor for Fire Pro... oh wait. Would love PS 1-4 support but I kind of don't see it happening. Happy about PS4 games in general though! Upscaling is another story. They could patch in a PRO PRO mode for certain games to run native or the console could do its own upscaling with less impressive results. Or they'll just do what they always do and re-release it with a new price tag and call it REMASTURD. That's definitely going to happen with the PS 3 & 4 games I'd want to play on PS5 too đ

It's one thing to download WINDJAMMERS or such again but I can't really see wanting to do that with the typical ginormous install+patching.

Such a fun series, the first two were so much fun, stupid, pun laden writing and over the top violence, no multiplayer (gasp!), itâs cool shit like Shadow Warrior exists and that you can get this kind of experience with something other than just pixely Indy stuff. Great news! đ

I love Giancarlo Esposito, and I love me some far cry!!! I donât usually like actors images in games (although Michael Mando as Vaas in FC3 was awesome, whatâs with the breaking bad/better call Saul alumni?!?), but I will certainly make an exception this time. I was trying to think where they could go next, guess now we know, awesome, thanks for posting, Nth!

It often feels like a quick cash-in for the actor and a way for the game to get attention without really proving they are going to do anything worthwhile. But Giancarlo Esposito is awesome and that trailer definitely used him very well. Even without him it was very interesting but that seemed a perfect role for him to play. That's really cool that Michael Mando was in a previous game in the series.

]That's really cool that Michael Mando was in a previous game in the series. Yeah, he was the main badass, creepy psycho in far cry 3, I think heâs been my favourite antagonist in the series so far, although all of them are always really well done / written, and usually leave you wondering if theyâre really the bad guy or if youâre just a clueless asshole. Mandoâs Vaas was my personal favourite though, that character was creepy.

He's one of my favorites in Better Call Saul too, like top 3 characters easily đ

Original Suikoden dev team going to Kickstarter to start their own Suikoden inspired RPG since Konami doesn't seem interested in video games anymore.
A Kickstarter campaign seeking $500,000 USD in funding for a PC release Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is led by Suikoden I and II veteran scenario writer Yoshitaka Murayama, alongside series veterans Junko Kawano, Osamu Komuta, and Junichi Murakami. The project marks the first time these four creators have worked on a game together, as well as the first time Murayama and Kawano have collaborated in 25 years.
âEiyuden Chronicle is about war, or more importantly, the intention and feelings of the 100 heroes who fight that war from a variety of perspectives and for a variety of different reasons,â Murayama told Gematsu. âAnd of course the drama that can only occur when a group of different people from different walks of life come together and must wage a war of life and death.â
Murayama continued, âAnd the many characters that participate in this war arenât just pawns added in as âwar fodder,â they have a living breathing soul and begrudgingly must fight to protect the things they believe in. Additionally, thereare non-combat specialists, researchers, and other âheroesâ on the periphery that can help win battles or lose them. Each and every one of them is a living breathing character that the player gives life to through their choices.â
âWith each new character your âfortress townâ grows in size and ability. It is a key system in the game. As you increase your teammates, some members will be blacksmiths, some chefs and whether on the battlefield or not, each character will play a role in strengthening your resolve as an army.

Kickstarter went live today. Looks like the game is getting funded with some if not all the stretch goals at this rate.
Edit: Less than 24 hours into the Kickstarter the game has already doubled it's asking amount. I've only seen a handful of games surpass their funding amount at the launch of their Kickstarter including Shadowrun Returns and Shenmue III.

Wow, nice! I held off on getting it on Steam since I prefer the PS controller over the XB1 I have on PC.

Little bit of speculative news clarifying PS5 backward compatibility with PS4 titles.
EDIT: The rumor is making the rounds now that Sony has just paid 750 million for the exclusivity rights to a yet unnamed IP from a yet unnamed developer.
