Sweet! This is cool news, but what would be really cool news is if N decided to release these as budget titles instead of their standard $79.99 CAN price. Sunshine would be fun to check out again!

Gamerant suggests Microsoft purchased Metal Gear, Silent Hill and Castlevania properties. Article also posted suspiciously close to April 1st. gamerant.com/rumor-microsoft-buying-silent-hill-metal-gear-castlevania-konami/If it is true and they do go to Microsoft they will likely be getting PC releases as well and a new Metal Gear would definitely make me put a new gaming PC on the agenda sooner than later.

Intellivision already sold out of their Founders Edition consoles in 6 hours so now they are taking pre-orders for a new VIP Edition offer since so many people missed out on the Founders Edition orders and they actually weren't expecting the demand to be as high as it was. www.intellivisionamico.com/amico-vip-pre-order-info

On the one hand: It may be an April Fools thing; On the other: Konami doesn't make video games anymore, so it would be good to get those franchises in the hands of another developer.

I suspect it is since the article is almost copy and paste of the Sony rumor article from a few weeks ago with Sony changed to MS and Playstation changed to Xbox.

Aesthetically, that's easily one of my favorites out of any controllers I've ever seen!
(Waiting for someone to make that design into an FPW edit... 😁 )
Functionally, the D-Pad part of the controller looks a little odd and under-emphasized. It may just be an issue with the angle of the photo though. Playstation D-Pads have always been kinda meh to me - the lack of full 360 d-pad coverage is the main reason. But they've still been a level of meh that is better than other modern controllers like X-Box. A lot of of more modern, 3-D movement type games just use the D-pad for selecting options so it's fine to have just 4 "buttons" rather than a full pad. But I like having better control of movement for the D-Pad for 2D games, especially fighting games. I've gotten used to the PSX 1-4 pads enough to be able to play fighting games on them but this looks different.

FFVII Remake officially releases today, although a lot of physical buyers may have had their orders delayed, like me. Anyway, Yoshinori Kitase who was the director of the original and director of the remake offers some words on this occasion.

Heh. Never broke down and played Journey. Guess there's no reason not to now.
The Drake Collection......I REALLY didn't like Uncharted 1 (bullet sponge nonsense) and tried Uncharted 2 just to get not only one but TWO different glitched copies, so I'm a bit cool on the series.
As someone who likes characters but isn't a hardcore fan of shooting games, would the collection be worth checking out?
Also, I just learned from a friend that XCom 2 apparently has a setting in Kansas City. That's pretty damn close enough of a reason for me to buy the game xD

Journey was a fun experience but I didn't get as much out of it as I probably could have.
I played through it all in one night and thought it was fun. I can't remember how it worked in regards to playing with others though and I know that was a big part of it. I think they matched you up with random people and you could only communicate through in game gestures and a set in-game sound rather than microphone. But I don't remember if that was the only game mode or if you could go through it alone 1P style. I just remember enjoying my experience overall. But once through it was enough for me probably cause I had other games to play that were more pressing for me at the time.
