FYI regarding the Irish Whip issues: Spike Chunsoft just posted this in the Steam Forum topic "Newest patch broke irish whip AI":
Thank you for reporting the issue! This will be fixed in a patch along the release of Fire Promoter on 2/27.

Thank god! Now let’s see what else they break in the process ;) The problem with any video game patch in most video games is that it will fix one issue, but 90% of the time will create a bug somewhere else. It's the case with basically every video game, save for a very select few.

Director Tweet translated Hmmm, what does this mean: "COM tag partners have modified and adjusted the behavior that does not fit into the cut in the late game" That seems separate from the hammer throw issues (lack of follow-up) being fixed. It almost seems like they modified touchwork/cutplay again? Maybe priorities won't be interrupted? Dare I dream!? 🌠

They will save partners near the end of the match.

I'm confused because haven't they been doing that already? I haven't noticed a problem here. I thought the only reason CPU partners didn't come into the ring to try to make a save was when they were significantly damaged. And that actually makes sense as a reason to not be able to make the save. Does the update mean that they will ALWAYS go into the ring to try to save their opponent after a certain time, even if they just took a massive amount of damage? I'm not sure if that makes sense. I thought the CPU partners on the apron have been good as to their frequency of trying to break up pins/submissions. I hope this isn't yet another "arbitrary time" standard that they are shoehorning into tag matches that will disrupt the logical dynamics. I liked watching a tag team win partially because they incapacitated the non-legal man. If that isn't possible anymore to the point that they come in regardless of their damage (or breathing), it's going to artificially extend many matches and look kind of ridiculous when they absorb all type of punishment but come in anyway.

And that actually makes sense as a reason to not be able to make the save. It does make sense but those who are whinging about it seemingly want tag matches to go on forever. It’s a shame there isn’t a way to implement the way almost all Japanese tag matches end. A tag partner holds and hinders the opponent tag partner on the outside to stop the possible save resulting in the 3 count.

If I'm understanding that translation correctly, there's going to be 146 defaults? As a fan of the defaults, that's some fun news

As a fan of the defaults, that's some fun news Yeah, it says they made 16 groups with 146 defaults so you can play right away. The other tweet is sponsorships appearing in your ring. I really hope we get some new arenas (as promised) to make it all add up. If I run in a gym, I want that old gym arena, not the training room with no fans.

That is crazy!!! I have to give them kudos just for that so new players can pick it up & play
I didn't expect the sponsors so that's a another bonus
Would've been nice if they dropped some of this stuff to us earlier, with maybe a little live stream or video showing it off rather than releasing tid bits on the day of release
Just a shame I have to wait until I get home to play
