Hey guys.
I asked in the fb group but I'll ask here, too.
After the update a couple months ago my game runs insanely slow. And I don't mean the load times, I mean like the actual matches, the move previews in edit mode, the wrestlers breathing in the select menu. Is there a fix for this? I thought I remembered other people having this problem too.

Yeah, I have the same issue. Also, if I put the game in full-screen mode, there is a crazy amount of jagged lines.
I had no issues from launch until an update (but I don't remember which one).
I chalk it up to my computer not being so gaming friendly. I'll check again when I finally get a new laptop.
I still sim, as the super-duper slowdown only happens occasionally.

I've noticed this. I can't run my game at full speed in full screen mode anymore, at any resolution.

I run mine in windowed mode. Outside of a few rare lag spikes in multi-edit matches (could be from my 2011 computer as well lol) it's been alright.

I was at least one guy who mentioned having this problem - my game got bad after the 2.0 update. I've had a plethora of ups and downs with how the game runs. I'll walk though the basic progression here, in case it helps you figure out what's wrong with yours.
In 1.x, I had been running in a fairly large window, as my old-ass laptop used to run really hot (no joke, one of those little rubber feet on the underside straight MELTED off. For a shoot.) And someone on here had recommended running in a window instead of full screen. That helped some, more RAM and a better cooling pad helped more, but I continued to run in the window, since it made it easy to access resources like the mod suite or the heads list.
When 2.0 dropped, my game started to run SO slow, exactly like you describe - matches or any menu that a wrestler was visible on would run at like half speed. (If no wrestler was on-screen, everything ran smooth.) I set my window size down to the smallest it would go, which kinda felt like watching a GBA screen, but it ran more or less fine.
One day, looking to do more appearance work, I set it back to full screen mode, figuring I'd live with the slowdown to be able to see the edit closer. And - lo and behold - the game ran PERFECTLY. I mean, like liquid gold. Perfectly smooth. At all times. At the risk of sounding like certain politicians, I couldn't believe how smooth it ran.
THEN - one day, I was taking screenshots and accidentally opened my webcam. Apparently there's a shortcut to do that. From that point on, for whatever reason, my game ran like HOT. FLAMING. DOG SHIT. Worse than before, whether I ran it in a window, even the smallest possible window, or full screen. Tried rebooting, tried disabling processes and services, everything that made any sense. Unpatched mods. Ran system scans. Nothing. Still ran like dog shit.
Finally, figuring it wouldn't make any difference, ran a full disk cleanup. Like, the full deal. Run as administrator, clean out everything it could possibly clear out. This took immensely longer than expected, literal hours. Restarted the computer, which also legit took over half an hour. I'm fully expecting to just have to scrap this computer at this point.
It FINALLY, finally gets back to desktop (which rotates backgrounds and just happened to be a Rob Schamberger painting of Lou Thesz - a good Firepro omen for sure) and I held my breath and launched Firepro - and we are BACK to LIQUID GOLD SMOOTH.
I don't know why, I don't know if some resource was locked up somehow, even through reboots, but that deep disk cleanup seemed to do the trick in my case. I'd give that a try, but if it's anything like mine, it'll take a while. Be prepared to have other stuff to do.

^I'll have to give that a shot Ares
I'm currently running the game in windowed mode with matches at 150 speed. It works well enough but it's still not "right" since the aforementioned moveset and wrestler stances at the select screen are both very labored.
It's a damn shame that such a great addition made the game much more undesirable for me though the latest patch does deliver on the load times and whatnot. It's just picking out moves is more of a pain than it has to be and forget about playing/simming at anything under 150% speed

Bupkis
Cleaned the disk, physically cleaned out the inside of the PC, and nothing.
Guess my machine and graphics are just too outdated to run this optimally.
It sort of works okay in windowed mode on the smallest resolution but yeah, I can't work on edits while squinting.
I've "only" put 100 hours into the game on PC but I really, really don't want to start over on PS4.
>_<

Thanks for the suggestion, Ares. I tried it but unfortunately no luck. Might be stuck this way for awhile smh.
