It’s been awhile since I made a post here. I put so much work into my old thread at the old forum that I didn’t feel up to reproducing it all. I’ll probably make a thread for each promotion as it will be easier to manage. Here is the one I’m focusing on now... (this forum is murder on pasted txt :( )
KAWAII PRO WRESTLING / KAPOW
Kawaii Pro Wrestling started out as a joke promotion that ran at various nerd culture conventions throughout the year with famous cosplayers staging lighthearted matches with mostly low impact moves.
The promotion unexpectedly grew in popularity, with match highlights and memes being shared widely across social media. Many other nerd culture models threw their hat in the ring to join in on the fun. The fans nicknamed the promotion KAPOW due to the KPW initials.
As the promotion started drawing more and more attention, many properly trained wrestlers demanded to be booked so they could teach these wannabes a lesson. They eventually became the Bruties division. The are bigger, meaner, and love making the Cuties suffer as much as possible in their matches.
The promotion now hosts matches pitting the Cuties vs the Bruties. The Cuties have started training to become better in the ring and to defend themselves turning this into a more serious promotion. The promotion is still in it’s infancy and attracting the attention of plenty of wrestlers who want to part in the action. Will it stick to it’s cosplay convention roots, or evolve into something completely different. Time will tell.

SENIOR OFFICIAL FURISOA
She graduated from organizing the local fandom conventions to becoming the senior, and only referee in Kawaii. She upholds the rules to a fault and makes sure that the Bruties do not resort to any illegal tactics. Not that it does her any good. (The NJPW logo worked out well to give her a ‘Kawaii logo’ shirt!)

CREAM PUFF
Finisher: Puffer Bomb ((Darkness Falls)
Theme: Kawaii theme song
Kawaii’s mascot logo comes to life! Cream Puff rarely fights in singles matches, and instead rounds out tag matches by providing the comic relief. She uses comedy moves and tries to hug it out with the competition. A such, she’s easy fodder for Bruties looking to get heat.
Devika Djinn
Finisher: 3 Wishes (Triple Fisherman)
Theme:
Be careful what you wish for. This cosplayer from India likes to grant her opponents their 3 wishes in the form of ‘triple’ moves. Triple moonsaults, triple suplexes, and her reverse indian deathlock. She leaves opponents wishing the match was over.
NEON NEKO
Finisher: Tigerdriver ‘91
Theme:
(This character came out from a weekly challenge thread on the old board). The defacto ‘ace’ of the Cuties divion so far. A high flying hero with a never say die attitude. She is the master of every tiger suplex variation.
KITTIE KATASTROPHIE
Uses her claw attacks and yarn ball roll up pins to put away the Bruties.
TINKERBELLY
Finisher: Whoops
Theme:
Known as the Fat Fairy. She wants to be a high flyer, but can’t manage to get airborne. One of her signature moves is falling out of the air while trying to do a rebound attack. Otherwise she uses hip attacks to crush opponents.
CHELS
This die hard green day fan loves to stage dive on her opponents.
MADDIE MAJESTIC
The tiny high flyer of the cuties division. She is super tiny, and extremely skinny so she relies on high flying techniques and kicks to survive her matches. Blink and you’ll miss her.
KEELY KEYSTONE
Finisher: Arresting Development (Vertical Double Arm DDT)
Theme: Beverly Hills Cop Theme
Observe and report! Named after the famous incompetent police force, the Keystone Cops, Keely tries to keep law in order in KPW by investigating and putting an end to the Bruties’ would be evil schemes. She uses a variety of kicks and ground holds that mimick arresting motions.
MOOSE & MOUSE
Theme: Not sure yet
Mouse is 4'11" a low flyer. She jumps and flies all over the place, she's just afraid of the top rope. On the rare occasions she does climb up there, she is extremely nervous and repeats "don't look down". She moves extremely quickly, and has a knack for squirming out of her opponent's grasp.
Moose is Mouse's lifelong friend. When Mouse signed up for wrestling school, the 6'5" giantess reluctantly signed up for wrestling school to look out for her both in and out of the ring. She's all business in the ring, and shows no restraint in pulling out the power moves early and often. Her finisher is the moose gore from the corner.
IRIS WHIPPER
Finisher: Whippersnapper
Theme:
An opening match comedy worker. She fires her opponents off into the ropes, and leap frogs over and over again to tire them out.
VAPORWAVE VAL
Finisher:
Theme: Neon Indian - Change of Coast
Nostalgic for a decade she didn’t grow up in. Fresh out of wrestling school, rookie technician Valerie Vallina fell in love with the vaporwave A E S T H E T I C and made it her identity. She was champion of her high school wrestling league and grew up idolizing Neon Neko. Now she’s overjoyed to be on the same roster, and is earning the ire of her hero by burning out her Tiger Driver ‘91 move.

SAILOR LILLY
A former Cutie who turned and joined the Bruties. She is known for being a crybaby, lazy in the ring, blaming others for her mistakes, and striking people from behind.
ANNIE MAI
A Japanese ex-model who retired to be a joshi wrestler. Dresses like Nonon from Kill La Kill. She uses rough, mean spirited attacks, and loves punishing the cuties with her leg stretches.
NINA THE NUN
REPENT CUTIES! Nina uses her palms to baptise foreheads, and praying / crucifix powerbombs to finally put her opponents away.
WENDY WICCA
Mirror, mirror, on the wall. The wicked witch of Kawaii. She is known as the destroyer of faces. Her moveset consists of every facebreaking technique she’s learned from her travels.
SARI SUCCUBUS
This demonic temptress is looking to slap some cuties around before sacrificing them on her torture rack.
LOUISE ANNA
Finisher: The Headshrinker (Brain Claw)
Theme: Swollen Members - Lady Venom
The voodoo queen. The head shrinker. She’s looking to break some wings and crush some skulls. Her moveset revolves around various claw techniques.
GRACIELA GRAVITY
Finisher: Gravity Falls
Theme:
Gravity is a bitch. This luchadora came up from Mexico to teach the cuties a lesson in physics. She uses her weight and crushing splash attacks to turn cuties into squishies.
Sandy
Finisher: Triangle Lancer
Theme:
(Based off Jeccica Nigri.) Sandy is the submission specialist of the Bully Brigade. Her triangle lancer hold often gets instant tap outs after long periods of brutal arm work.
Candy
(Based off Darshelle Stevens)
Finisher: Creampuff Destroyer (Canadian Destroyer)
Theme:
Candy is the high flyer of the Bully Brigade, and often gets treated as the cool heel of the group because of it.
Mandy
Finisher: Jackhammer
Theme:
(Based off Meg Turney)The powerhouse of the Bully Brigade. She throws stiff lariats between lifting her opponents up high and slamming them into the mat. Many finder her working a powerhouse style while being a skinny irish girl extremely amusing.
