The game isn't launching properly. It was working last night for hours and with no problem for over a year. I didn't do anything last night that should have changed anything. I didn't even save the game. I exited out of it normally. But when I try to start the game now, the big game window doesn't launch. Instead, I get this: The window is trying to load but is not turning into the full window/game. Then it stops trying to load. I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it but am still getting that largely unresponsive window. I also verified the game files and I didn't get any errors. I can't maximize it because that is the extent of the window. Minimizing it just hides it. Other Steam games are working fine. Anyone have any idea what is going on? Edit: Dawn nipped the problem in the bud π

Hm. This is mysterious. Have you tried the normal Steam routine of verifying the file integrity?
(Right click game in Steam, click properties, Local Files, "Verify Integrity of Game Files". Will most likely not work if you have mods.)

I guess you could try launching the game and bringing up the Task Manager and seeing if you can get it to maximize the window.
If that doesn't work, you can try a workaround:
Run regedit. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\spikechunsoft\FireProWrestlingWorld. Find "Screenmanager Is Fullscreen..." and set it to 1 in either Hexidecimal or Decimal mode (Not sure what the difference is here). That should force it to run Full Screen Mode the next time you launch the game. If this works, you can try changing your screen settings in the game to see if it works properly again.
I don't have Windows 10, so I'm just kind of spitballing it to see what works.

Thanks, I did try that method early on. I got confirmation that the game files were okay. Nice to see you back around π I guess you could try launching the game and bringing up the Task Manager and seeing if you can get it to maximize the window. You beautiful Emu. You fixed it. You f'n saved my Fire Pro existence. I used Task Manager and tinkered with it and I got it full screen. For some reason the game got minimized this afternoon but I was able to maximize it again after just like 30 seconds. I replaced the default save with my save (and all Decals/BGM/etc) and everything is working again! Unfortunately I totally overreacted earlier and got rid of all of my subscriptions so that will be a little bit of a headache. But at least I have the game back!!

Side question:
Although I had deleted all of my subscriptions, all of the edits actually stayed on my save. If I re-subscribe to the edits, will I get duplicates? Or will the edits re-connect to their Workshop subscriptions?
My guess is the former and that I'll have to delete those edits individually and then re-subscribe.
It's fine though - it was really impulsive to delete those subscriptions so that's my penance.
I'm just beyond happy that I have FPW back πππ

Did you unsubscribe from the edits in the workshop or uninstall them in game?
You need to uninstall them in game to remove them from your save file, this action will unsubscribe at the same time. All unsubscribing in the workshop does is stops you getting updates when a author makes a change
Iβm pretty sure if you resubscribe you donβt get duplicates but maybe test with one edit first? Would be interesting to know

For some reason you have to unsubscribe to them in-game for it to delete the subscription in the Workshop. It's kind of dumb. Spike does Spike things. I'm not sure about duplicate edits.

So here's some good news.
It appears that re-subscribing to an edit on the Workshop "re-connects" the edit in the game to the subscription.
I subscribed to edits that I already had subscribed to and edits I had not subscribed to already. All the edits that I had already subscribed to did not appear on the bottom of the long wrestler order list nor did they show up new in the "retired" area of the organizational menu. However, the new edits did appear in those two places (as they are supposed to). I don't see any duplicates. That is good news.
However, that doesn't mean that things are definitely okay. What remains to be seen is whether or not those re-subscribed edits will properly be updated in my game whenever the edit handler changes and re-uploads them. It's possible that, due to the subscription being broken yesterday, that the link was actually severed.
So I'll check to see who is actively updating a certain edit, make sure i'm subscribed to them, and compare the version I have with what they know their edit should have.
If I AM in the clear here, and the subscription re-connected the edit, then it's REALLY cool.
Furthermore, we finally have an upside to the annoying limitation of the Workshop unsubscribe method. If, as it turns out, permanent unsubscribing can only be done in the game, an accidental (or intentional) unsubscribe on the Workshop can be rectified with a re-subscribe and no long term damage to that connection.
It's kind of like a failsafe, I guess.

I've been uninstalling them from the game recently and they have completely unsubbed from that point.
Still, very much a pain that adding and deleting along with organizing edits in the game has not been priority #1 for the developers.
Hopefully that changes with the new team coming in because it's atrocious.
